Hi. Nice to watch. Just one tip: add links to the used modules in the description, makes it even easier for your followers to use your insights themselves.
I added links to ones that you need something from outside of foundry. But in foundry you install mods by searching them by name from within foundry and clicking "install". No need for urls. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
@@GMToolbox even so, it’s nice to provide a summary list by name, in a long video where so many great mods are mentioned. Otherwise, later on when I am back at my computer, it prevents me from having to go back into the video and hunt for the spot where you mentioned a specific mod by name. By this way… this is an awesome video.
I just improved my Foundry so must thanks to this video and hope my players will love the Argon HUD and know my DM will be happy to know the new name of the Blood'N'Guts modul
Just in the middle of watching, just watched 4 minutes of you talking about different VTTs. I think most people watching this have probably already decided to use Foundry so probably could have done without that, or at least a timestamp to skip it. EDIT: just noticed you have the timestamps in the description.
Ya. What I forgot to do was as a 0:00 time stamp. Without that you don't get the chapters to show in the timeline. So I added that in. You should now see the chapters on the progress bar of the video as well.
you might consider using Tidy UI module because you have a lot of modules and finding them in your settings can be a pain, and Autorotate module if you use topdown tokens for your monsters, blocking autorotation for the round portrait tokens.
Argon Combat HUD is nice. It looks A LOT like the interface in a game called Solasta. That is a pretty decent game in and of itself if you have never played it, but seriously the interface is almost identical. That is not a dig - use what works!
@DM Toolbox hey thanks for this video! I just noticed that since you have your URL bar blacked out, you might appreciate to know that you didn't black out the URL links when you were pasting them into Foundry. ;)
When I drag a webm onto my map, it does show the animation like in your video, it just show an icon of the camera. Would you know what I am doing wrong?
Nice video! Watched it from start to finish. If you could time stamp each module, that would be really useful. Likely that I’d comeback here in future to quick reference. Currently considering migrating from Roll20
Great Material, just need to shorten the intro. But thank you for the hard work of putting this information together. You got a new subscriber out of me
LOL. I love this question. So I bought my first copy a while back. In fact, my first RUclips video for the channel is a review of that book. Check it out. The second was a gift from AAW. Its the 2nd printing with some corrections. I am working on their Foundry VTT conversion for them. The third isn't actually the book. It is just a cover. It was another gift from them. This is the original proof print of the cover that they received before the first printing. It is signed by Jonathan, the founder and creator of AAW and Rise of the Drow.
Sorry to bother you again. You mention a module that let's you reroll damage dice. I used to be able to handle Great Weapon fighting really smoothly and the 1s and 2s would be automatically rerolled. That doesn't seem to be happening any more and I can't remember which module did that. A friend DM also has the same problem. Is there a module that let's you click on the damage in chat and reroll that specific dice? You seemed to imply there was.
For something like great weapon master where you want to just reroll 1s and 2s on the damage, that can be automated. All you have to do is set the damage for the weapon up like this: 2d6r
Joe, amazing stuff and loving the content. Any e-mail or way to ask about a tutorial for Foundry VTT?? Messages are turned off. Thanks and all the best!
Thanks! I haven't really thought about tutorials. There are so many great tutorial videos out there for Foundry already. I think they have some linked right on the foundry website as well. But always happy to help. Look for me in the foundry discord or the Midgard or AAW discord channel
Any idea why my Blood and Guts Module doesnt show up in module list in my game after its installed? I don't understand how yours works 6 days ago but mine doesnt! haha
Roll 20 is only 'technically' free. But you only get 100MB storage. You really can't do much with the base level other than test. It's then a yearly subscription. Foundry on the other hand is a one time fee.
One frustration to avoid if using Beyond 20: make sure your settings on the extension is set so it does not apply damage for you when you apply it on Foundry. Otherwise it can apply double damage. It’s a simple fix but I had no idea B20 could even do that.
Agree. It is much easier for Foundry. I play in a discord group for Midgard though which allows DMs to use any VTT they want. Many still use R20 there so having Beyond 20 helps since I can use it on both platforms. But I do like that gamelog lets me do rolls without the need for the extension.
This is such a well made break down of some of the basic modules. I didn't know that combat hud existed. I'm going to get it.

Put the names of the things and timestamps in disc because its nightmareish to try and find the names and stuff with out it
I just improved my Foundry so must thanks to this video and hope my players will love the Argon HUD and know my DM will be happy to know the new name of the Blood'N'Guts modul
Thanks! Just downloaded Foundry VTT so those helpfull tweaks will be really nice on my Game sessions!
nice video, great video production too!! Hope you get more subscribers, you deserve it

great game and yep straight copy of the hud, good stuff
yup, ripper (theripper93, developer of the module) openly declared he wanted to make the same hud
@DM Toolbox hey thanks for this video! I just noticed that since you have your URL bar blacked out, you might appreciate to know that you didn't black out the URL links when you were pasting them into Foundry. ;)
Those are just the D&D Beyond character links which are read only.
Hey man, loved the video, have you done the Danger Zone module? Can't quite figure it out

Done!
For the Combat Carosoul Module i cant get the health attribute to work for some of my characters?
Interesting. I'd say hop into the Foundry discord under the Module-discussion channel. You can probably get some good help there.
Great Material, just need to shorten the intro. But thank you for the hard work of putting this information together. You got a new subscriber out of me
thnx for the new name of blood n guts :D or similar module
argon combat hud reminds me of solasta's ui
Why do you have three copies of Rise of the Drow. And the deluxe edition cover at that
LOL. I love this question. So I bought my first copy a while back. In fact, my first RUclips video for the channel is a review of that book. Check it out. The second was a gift from AAW. That's awesome! It's a great book. I'm looking forward to that Foundry conversion! I guess the AAW HQ is not far from me. Really love their products

@@GMToolbox You mean set it up from editing the weapon in the inventory? The current formula is 1d8[slashing] + @mod. So does that then becom 1d8r
@@bladewraith Yes. Though you don't put [slashing] in the line of text. Damage type is in a drop down to the right.

Delete Blood n Guts and get "Splatter". Its the new version
Roll 20 is only 'technically' free. But you only get 100MB storage. You really can't do much with the base level other than test. It's then a yearly subscription. Foundry on the other hand is a one time fee.
You are correct! If someone is paying for Roll20, in my opinion they should make the move to Foundry
Lol Lactose the Intolerant
Yep. lol
In the comments could you please list the modules that you are using?
All my modules or just the ones from this video? I use a lot of modules. I can cover more in future videos.
@@GMToolbox The ones in this video and a link to all the other ones would be perfect.
One frustration to avoid if using Beyond 20: make sure your settings on the extension is set so it does not apply damage for you when you apply it on Foundry. Otherwise it can apply double damage. It’s a simple fix but I had no idea B20 could even do that.
Moulinette, Better Roofs, Levels, Wall height. All day.
Better Rolls I use. I will take a look at the others.
@@GMToolbox it’s Better Roofs. Bailey wiki has a great tutorial on moulinette.
DnD beyond gamelog Mod is better for handling rolls from Dnd Beyond sheets no need for beyond 20 extension

Nice job but not as usefull outside a dnd5 system
