My players love creating potions etc and the rules around DND 5e are crap for that so I feel like these are really helpful but it's as always better to have more options than less because you can always not use them Sorry for my english
While I agree, sadly that's the only way that some people will even deign to play it. My friends won't even consider the idea of playing D&D on a 2d plane, they want a three dimensional game visible to them. I'm getting ready to run them through a starter campaign soon but my hope is that they'll have fallen in love with the gameplay by then to the point where they'd be happy to just play on a 2d map instead of a 3d one.
Cool mods just wish more where less 5e specific. I get that’s the most popular system but frankly with wizards long term of anti-consumer behavior and its subpar system I left it a while ago so finding mods for other systems is rough. Will see if I can get a few of these to work though none the less.
I agree that I wish there was less 5E specific mods. There are a lot of d20 systems that could utilize a generic mod that works for all of them. Specifically Pathfinder 2nd edition
Yeah it can be a real challenge figuring things out for obscure systems, patrol is a super underrated mod though. I use it anytime someone is leading the players and I want to narrate while they auto walk
I feel the same way! Which is why I desperately hope that theripper93 or some other mod creator makes a version of it that works with other game systems cuz it's such a great mod.
Some of these are great. I do wish more modules, although I understand why they don't, would cater towards Cyberpunk 2020. Mostly because of the way health and armour is totally different from most other systems and I haven't found a module that automates damage on either, I have to do it manually. It is calculated automatically, but I have to manually change the numbers. So with say Carousel Combat Tracker, it won't move onto the next combatant, I do their damage myself and have to move the thing along myself too. There seems to be a lack of automation compared to other systems, even with a bunch of modules that half work with it. Shame really, because I really like the setting.
It's a map that I made for a portion of my homebrew world using an online mapmaking software called Inkarnate. I'd definitely recommend checking them out! 😁🗺️
Popular token artists are Devin Night, Forgotten Adventures, and Crosshead studios. But there are tons of artists out there that make different styles of tokens on Etsy, and you can find token artists on the Roll20 marketplace by searching for token packs, then once you find a nice art style you like, chances are that artist has their own website or Etsy page that they use to sell those packs.
Huh, idk what could be causing this. 🤔 Might be a limitation of the mod or just a bug. If it persists you can always report the issue on the GitHub page for the mod and it'll probably get fixed eventually.
That was the Macro Wheel mod. 😁 It's also a premium mod made by theripper93 and can be really useful if you prefer using your abilities/macros via this mod as opposed to the regular macro bar or some other method.
Yeah... because in the event where you'd use a roll like that, as a GM, you'd want to stop the characters from moving and do the roll. It's kind of the whole point of the mod, and follows the same concept as Dimension 20's "Box of Doom" rolls.
Those character tokens come with the D&D 5e system on Foundry, but they're made by Forgotten Adventures and they have tons of free packs on their website. I'd definitely recommend them! 😁👍
I believe that if you want to, you could technically only pay for one month then download all the premium mods you want, then cancel your membership, but then if there are any patches, updates, or anything like that then you wouldn't have access to them.
It's currently $9/month for the premium mods on Patreon. At least for the default version. You can pay more to get Early Access mods a month or so before they're released to regular subscribers.
with the ripper 93 who makes several of these mods do you have to be an active subscriber to their patreon or once you have subbed and installed mods you can cancel the patreon subscription ? i have no problem paying for mods but i dont really want to keep paying
So I believe you can subscribe for a month, get all the mods you'd like, then unsubscribe, but if you do that then you won't gain access to any patches, updates, or future premium mods. So if a new version of Foundry or the game system you use comes out and it breaks some of these mods, you'll need to resubscribe to get the updated versions. Hope this helps! 🧙♂️
@@nattertot This is correct, and is also correct for Baileywiki, another master of tools in Foundry. Moreover, they both recommend this for anyone who wants access to the Premium content without paying a monthly subscription. The Premium stuff unlocks at the lowest levels, so it's entirely possible and creator-appropriate to pay ~$5-10 for the Premium stuff, install it all, then cancel your sub. You lose access to real time updates, but it's usually only really necessary to get the updates as needed rather than as an always on feature. If you do have the bank for a sub, though, it's of course recommended. These guys put a tonne of content out for free, and are constantly working on stability, performance, and new features. But don't feel bad about just one and done-ING if you don't want the monthly bill!
For this particular video I mainly wanted to showcase some premium mods because I feel like they're not talked about all that much. But don't worry, the vast majority of mods on Foundry are free. 😁
its mindboggeling what Foundry can do with mods... Thanks for your vid.
Simple Quest was updated and it now has an amazing timeline tab in addition to what you showcased here.
Good to know!
Super underrated channel, keep up the good work!!!!
Feel like a number of these turn DND too much into a video game
That's why foundry is great. Customize to your own taste.
I'm running a Zelda campaign, in this scenario, a more video game feel compliments the campaign itself.
My players love creating potions etc and the rules around DND 5e are crap for that so I feel like these are really helpful but it's as always better to have more options than less because you can always not use them
Sorry for my english
That's desirable for some

Happy to help! 😁

Same. I wish more would work with Cyberpunk 2020.
Love all your vídeos. Shout-out to dungeoncraft and professor DM for the tips on how to help non scandal TTRPGs videos!
Love these. Too bad we are switching to pathfinder, so I can’t use the last one :(
I feel the same way! Which is why I desperately hope that theripper93 or some other mod creator makes a version of it that works with other game systems cuz it's such a great mod.
@@nattertot Sadly he's already said that because of the way Pathfinder works, he won't be making a Pathfinder version of the Epic Rolls mod.

Nice. But this video should be named 'These Foundry Mods Make Your D&D 5E sessions UNFORGETTABLE!
Why you can play many games on foundry?
@@Bantzholebecause almost all of these don’t have great support for other systems lmao
@echohaaff9642 foundry wasn't made for DnD it was made for pathfinder alongside pizo.
@@Bantzhole we arent talking about foundry we're talking about the modules
@@echohaaff9642 you do realize that the mods are on foundry right?
What is the world map that appears in the simple quest part?
It's a map that I made for a portion of my homebrew world using an online mapmaking software called Inkarnate. I'd definitely recommend checking them out! 😁🗺️
Bravo thanks !
Where do we get tokens that actually look like people or creatures and not just circles?
Popular token artists are Devin Night, Forgotten Adventures, and Crosshead studios. What top down tokens do you use?
They're made by Forgotten Adventures. ⚔️
@@nattertotthank you!
Great channel bro, keep it up
Thank you! 🙏😁
The epic rolls is cool but doesn’t load up all my players just 4 of them. Any idea on how to fix it?
Huh, idk what could be causing this. 🤔 Might be a limitation of the mod or just a bug. If it persists you can always report the issue on the GitHub page for the mod and it'll probably get fixed eventually.
What was the rosette mod the intro?
That was the Macro Wheel mod. 😁 It's also a premium mod made by theripper93 and can be really useful if you prefer using your abilities/macros via this mod as opposed to the regular macro bar or some other method.
I love when the GM takes away the control of my client and puts a giant EPIC ROLL banner over my screen

I see a lot of people using the character models for PC that you show in the video. Are them from a specific mod?
Those character tokens come with the D&D 5e system on Foundry, but they're made by Forgotten Adventures and they have tons of free packs on their website. I'd definitely recommend them! 😁👍
Question, for the premium mods do I have to pay once or is it a monthly fee?

the best part is 99% of this is all ine pf2e system already

Why are they all premium? Foundry really went down hill wtf

That's not so much Foundry's doing as the mod author's. He doesn't have to charge, but does.
Hey man, I think your audio is off. It doesn't match your mouth
Thumbs down too many of these are premium
