  • In this video I'll show you how to install the OEM Style Oil Cooler Kit.
    This cooler taps in to the factory coolant system on the car and uses it to three advantages.
    1. Heat the oil up faster from a cold start
    2. Bring peak oil temperatures down under heavy load.
    3. Bring average oil temperatures down under normal driving conditions.
    For a full pre-and post install temperature analysis, visit the following link...

    PS. Not sure what happened with the intro. It rendered with the wrong title :S

    When you remove the loop and plug in the two lines from the oil cooler does it matter which line goes where? Thank you in advance

      Nope, the coolant will flow through the same either way.

    ***** I have a couple of questions for you. First: Length and diameter of the hoses you used. Second: Are you still tapping through the TB or did you connected the return somewhere else bypassing the TB? Thanks in advance. I'm doing this mod but wasn't really sure about those 2 details.

    Is there a order between these two hoses?

    • @boostedmedia
      @boostedmedia  5 лет назад +1

      No doesn’t matter which way the coolant flows through the plate.

    For the hoses is it just any type of heater hose that will fit through the pipes in the oil cooler? Do you happen to know the sizes?

    Where did you purchase this particular sandwich oil cooler kit? I can't seem to find one online. There are many available, but none that look exactly like the one you used.

      This is actually an OEM piece from a Turbo Forester as is the connector. The kit he is talking about is on nedautoparts.com

    I think an external oil cooler will do a much better job. Wonder if they have them for these cars.
