I am a proud local Hungarian living in Budapest.
I was born and have lived in this beautiful city, Budapest for decades. I am in love with it - and not because I haven’t seen anything else. I am a seasoned traveller and I have also spent many years living abroad. However, my heart (and wife, and jobs and goulash soup and lángos) have pulled me back to my birth town. I love this city and know it inside out.
If you are fed up with the formal (and often wrong) recommendations of guide books, then follow my channel to find advice from a real local. I give you practical tips, show you cool spots and help you avoid tourist traps.
I live and love Budapest, I want to share my tips with you.

Got back from Budapest a few weeks ago. We did the Chef Parade cooking class (fun!) and got the great cookbook you're showing in the video. Favorite souvenirs: a bottle of apricot palinka, and a box of chocolates from Cafe Gerbeaud. The Budapest airport sells a lot of food and drink souvenirs in case you suddenly remember that you need to bring back a gift for someone.

Thank you for your video. When I go to a foreign country, I always eat local food and buy local made souvenirs. I will go to Budapest in 6 months. Will definitely search for the souvenirs you suggested.

My respect to you. Imagine there are people, who are visiting new countries to witness something unique, but in case of food, they only order food they know and eat, without trying local delicacies, so instead of going for magyar gulyás or csirke paprikás, they are fine with McDonalds or KFC. Whatever their reason is, it's not the best way to discover a new culture.

@@RichieLarpa I just spent 8 days in Budapest. I tried some traditional Hungarian food: goulash, chicken paprika, meat stew etc. Those dishes are quite good. Budapest is such a beautiful city. People should visit this city at least once in their life time. Lots of love from Canada.
