@@senatorarmstrong3032 So i heard a theory or a video a long time ago that 173 hates humanity or living things in general because he doesn't control when he is stopped only when they look at him at first he didn't hate humanity being alone at first but when they contained him and stared it made that angry that hatred anyway that's what I believe and I want to hear your theory if you have one also forgot to mention I think he would be pleased with a world to himself
As heartwrenching as this was, I find this a quite intriguing look into 096 as a character. He isn't inherently evil or malicious, but cannot seem to control himself when the anger takes hold. Makes you wonder if the things he's done were things he really wanted to do, and not just a result of his condition. Regardless, he certainly makes a better parent than that woman who just abandoned her blind child to what she saw as a ravenous monster.

Imagine you're in a dark facility and you come across that unnaturally thin and completely White creature then it starts screaming at you
Or she was running to draw 096 away from the girl so she wouldn’t get caught in the crossfire
The anger that 096 was forced to develop for his entire lifetime created an unnatural skill in hunting, once he found something alive that didn't conjure that anger, he used what he had learned to protect, not only did he protect her, but he did at the expense of his life, he went through anything to reverse any harm that was done to the little girl. Truly, a chad parent.
I’m guessing the woman knew about 096 and realized her daughter was completely safe from him and dragging her would only put her in more danger
@@stepheneverhart5083 It's unlikely that she knew about 096's traits & abilities, most likely not even knowing 096 existed and assumed it was a distraught lone survivor. She was most likely seeking refuge or help rather than a better life for her daughter. So far nobody even knew how 096 would act in the presence of a blindfolded or simply blind person, if it'd acknowledge them or not. Alongside this the mother and the daughter would have a strained relationship, the mother needing to take more care and having a lower mental stability than the daughter (Cause she was blind and unable to see the horrors that her mother had to endure daily.) could cause her in a fight or flight situation to abandon her daughter, not only that but the fact that she went out into the sunlight without noticing could mean she wasn't in a properly thinking mental state, she was obviously scared for her life but other factors in an apocalyptic scenario could work with this, perhaps sleep deprivation from having to travel more at night perhaps, or needing to constantly take care of her daughter otherwise she may head out into the sunlight, also needing to provide for both of them with food, water, warmth & shelter. The encounter was purely accidental, stumbling upon a large shaded area where resources could be located within, alongside the cries of another possible survivor, providing relief to speak to another person. What she didn't know was that this was a site for storing anomalies. If she was suicidal as you somewhat mention, she would've most likely not reacted in such a way.

I imagine it would be similar to the 682 video of this series where certain scp are walking the earth until the end of time. One of the biggest questions it would answer though is what would they really do if they had a barren earth to roam.

Maybe the a anomalous effects of 096 were passed to the little girl. He has a healing factor, of some kind, that was able to slow his own melting. Maybe that got transferred to the Blind Girl and she is now an anomalous entity?

i’d like to imagine 096 becoming a skeleton every time he went outside and each time he would leave a fleshy version of himself out there but he’d still be fine and also this emphasizes the question as to why the most intelligent, experienced and well equipped organization never thought of introducing a blind person to 096
Well, they had no proof it would do anything to 096 except from the time he met the plague doctor, who's a very weird anomaly by himself. Also, they'd need a non judgemental blind person, cause a blind d personel, for example, would be not an empathic person. All this considering 096 can feel trully, let's remember canon tests on him show no cognitive activity

Listen, 001 in this case is probably a creation of extremely high power... something perhaps made by the Scarlet King himself, which would explain why it can destroy anomalies' capacities. If it didn't, listen carefuly, if a flesh creature or even the Sun itself looked at 096, he'd want to kill them, and then devour them, leaving no traces of anything... So it would be extremely interesting. Now, the big question of this video is why didn't the flesh things care for 096 if he's alive and organic?

The fact that I feel sympathy for 096 is an indication that it was a good creature, it just needed a shoulder to cry on, a friend who couldn't distress him, and for the first time, I felt happy for it. Well done with this entry

The fact that as soon as you spoke of the light actually managing to drag the girl out, but not by her mothers voice or even a potential father, but 96 himself as a decoy, it was such an intelligent twist yet so so sad because if it was the mother it would only show that the girl is a bit stupid, but she really got tricked by the monsters, I even think I would be tricked just the same way : (

This is both the most heart warming and saddening tale yet, and due to it one of my favorite ones.
Who knew all SCP-096 wanted was a friend and companion who wouldn’t judge him for the way he looks. Great illustrations and storyline, the ending is just tragic 😔 keep up the great work.

This like everything else on this channel was phenomenal. It had unexpected twists and curves, it's set in an alternate universe so really anything can happen so I don't have to be bummed about what happens to some of my favorites, the art, the fact that you have a great voice for voice over work....yeah this is a prime example of why I've followed this channel for years now.
something thats makes this story a hint more sadder for me ,is that despite the official termination record I don't think 096 would properly be killed as his bones seem normally indestructible (to my understanding) so he would end up melting to the bones, then at night probably regrow enough and maybe try to return to the sight and learning that in all likely-hood, the little girl didn't make it.
When Day Breaks removes anomalous properties, so the bones would stop being indestructible
@@opossumleader3645 this what you said make no sense and the scp verse is not ignoring for the fact and logic.... everything has a logic explanation, the sun affect just the mortal life forms but 096 prove to not be a mortal creature because he was born among humans but he never was a human and the indestructibility and regeneration is not a power and they was always apart from his body still from birth because this is his immortal nature.... he is more like a unstoppable and unkillable force of nature who was ever born, for his immortality he is not born to die and he is born to exist and destroy everything who attack him, this is the scp 096's existence, he never be able to die!
The sad thing about this is when SCP-096 died, the little girl either died of starvation or dehydration, or died of the monsters.
I love the fact 096 is simply looking for a friend that won’t judge him. Rest In Peace big guy, hope you find another friend in heaven…

That final shot of 096 melting away looked as if he was smiling, perhaps it could've just been the effects of the euphoric wax people syndrome, or perhaps for the first time in his life, he felt accomplished that he could at least keep that girl safe.

Has the foundation ever tried to introduce a blind person to 096? I feel like that would be one of the major tests that would have at least come across the board considering that he's triggered by sight.
By the way illustrated always amazing to see these horrific monsters in this setting and see exactly how they've changed and adapted to this place and how they're not even really monsters anymore the exception of course being the doctor irredeemable a****** that he is. @@flareinga Although, from all the other videos I've seen on him, it does feel like something akin to free will is what the plague actually is, so it's sorta hard to blame him for going nuts and offing everyone when the whole thing started, as they would've had total free will from that moment onward.

I expected something worse; But the fact that they made SCP-096 seem so human is amazing to me.
When Day Breaks is such an cool and amazing story, every SCPs that once are monsters that would harm humans and stuffs now just trying to survive, alone in the dead silence of darkness when there are no humans left.

that's so sad, especially the fact the flesh things realised the girl preferred the sound of crying over her mother, the wdb series feels like dangerous scps become nicer because its the end of the world for literally everything except 49, screw him.

Man the moment the last scream came out, I imagined any other survivors(Both human and scp) would just pause and look in the direction where it came from. With some recognizing it and others just freaked out.
A single moment of happiness for 096, i’m really loving this series.
