11 Beginners Tips And Tricks Dead Space Remake Doesn't Tell You
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 авг 2024
- Finally, Dead Space is back. Motive Studio have brought back the beloved sci-fi survival horror series with a remake of the original game, and they've done a damn good job of it. Fans of the series and newcomers alike will be diving into the game over the coming days- but when you're preparing to take on the nightmarish horrors of the USG Ishimura, you'd best be prepared.
To that end, here, we've compiled a few handy tips and tricks that you should keep in mind as you play the game, to make your journey through the crumbling ship just a little bit smoother.
"Game doesn't tell u about pointless headshots" Literally 20 minutes in, "Isaac, don't bother shooting them in the head, it doesn't do shit."
Annnnd 10 minutes before that, right when you get your 1st weapon written in blood with big bold letters (and the camera automatically pans to show the message) "CUT OFF THEIR LIMBS" lol
@@christianjones7012 and there is an audio log in between that also says cut the limbs off.
how about shooting babies it’s my first experience and I was shocked they added mutated infected babies😬😲
Even this video quotes the fact the game tells you it... 🙈
This video is pure garbage. Just trying to ride a trend.
"Here's 11 things the game doesn't tell you."
*proceeds to list 11 thing the game repeatedly tells you through dialogue and text pop-ups*
1. 1:08 No headshots
2. 1:49 conserve ammo
3. 2:26 stomp everything for more ammo
4. 2:55 use alt fire
5. 3:31 use stasis
6. 4:20 (hehe) use the stuff around you
7. 4:55 same as 6 but with kinesis
8. 5:22 explore
9. 6:01 same as 8 but backwards
10. 6:34 store weapons to not get ammo for them
11. 7:09 same as 2 but credits
YOU WIN THE INTERNET BRO😅
Thanks. I can keep moving now
I been playing it all day. And I don't remember it being this scary. The lighting and sound design is a huge improvement
Dead Space 1 was the scariest of all, specifically because of the sound design, ambiance, and lighting...
You saying that you don't remember it being scary has me concerned.
I hope they didn't try to fix what wasn't broken, as with GTA San Andreas.
Reason why Dead Space was fondly remembered of, later installments became too arcade'y.
@@Thor.Jorgensen quit being broke and get the game for yourself kidboy, there are copies everywhere at retail price. Not scalped from scalpers, so you cant cry about that like all the broke people did for 2 years about the ps5 🤡
@@ramrodbldm9876 I'm not broke. I just want to hear what the reviews are to see if EA deserves any money in the first place.
The reason I am concerned is merely that I am fond of the game, but not so fond that I think I'd want to replay it.
TLDR: I don't want to encourage EA to publish junk.
@@Thor.Jorgensen have you not seen any reviews? Because your comment comes 5 hours ago there have been reviews and previews since thursday. The remake is absolutely worth your money and you can always buy it even cheaper from any other place than epic, steam or EA app. Plus they didn’t fuck up the audio, they made it even better, enhanced it with the superior sound design that Frostbite Engine delivers.
One big tip is that you can customize the controls so that the menu button immediately brings up the map first as opposed to the inventory. Makes things so much more convenient.
Playing it on GamePass and loving it! It’s gory too! Good thing my memory sucks, so I can’t remember the original even though I played all 3 original games. Thanks for these tips!

"As the game tells you very early on..."
Noticed that too. Lol.
Most videos like this, the game does tell you. You just don’t like reading lol
Yeah they like to think we're idiots. And they also want the views
Man.....turning those lights off for the first time and hearing those necros all over the place and Issac's heartbeat started going, had me on the edge of my seat.
3d headphones are a must have.
You can literally hear those things crawling in the vents before they jump out sometimes, it's wild!!
Idk if it's because it's been so long since ds1, or the fact I'm 35 now, but this remake is much more scary than what I remember! And that's a good thing! I think!
I just got the game today. The 3d audio is a MUST for this game. Like you said, you can hear shit crawling in the vents. Game is creepy as hell but I love it.
Hell yea that is what I’m noticing is another big difference from when I played the first game a long time ago. Back then I didn’t use headphones. Headphones are an absolute must for horror games, so much of the tension comes from the sound design. I have the kraken hypersense haptic headphones which are super gimmicky, but fun for horror sometimes for a little extra immersion
@@HereThereEverywhereMatt Absolutely. I tried to play it without the 3D audio and it brought the experience down a few notches. The audio is what gets me almost every time.
replayed the OG a while ago, and was laughing to myself how i thought it was scary when i was 8. this remake brought back the feeling i had when i was 8 when it came out.
A few additions:
1) In the beginning when you get your hands on the pulse rifle it is best to either put it away in your stash or use ONLY the alt fire to blast grenades everywhere. The main fire mode is practically useless against anything but bossfights where you have to shoot the glowing bits. But even then - an upgraded plasma cutter does the same job much better
2) Get yourself the Prototype Stasis Module (Premeditated Malpractice side quest) as soon as possible - it allows each of your stasis charges not only damage but also stun any enemy. Except REALLY big ones and twitchers.
3) Use force gun every time you deal with twitchers because it instantly pops their stasis module on the back and slows them down considerably for short period of time
Another tip is when you go back to open rooms or chests when you upgrade clearance is to always be prepared to fight more neceamorphs. This game does a good job of making you feel on edge a lot of the time.
Thanks for this. I was wondering if enemies repopulated cleared areas.
Worst was the first 5 minutes, I didn't play the original but watched alot of it and they upped the suspense level souch waiting for that first necro to pop out
I believe the game literally spells out number 1 written all over the walls lol
“Things game doesn’t tell you”….”as the game tells you earlier on”
I'm on my third playthrough of this and there have been some new enemy placements that weren't there the first two times through. This game has impressed in many ways. The 3D audio is great as well!!
Improvements to sound and ambient lighting has taken this remake to the next level.

Wish the map tracked security clearance locked lockers and footlockers you come across that you can't open yet... 😑
For anyone planning the take on Impossible difficulty you can do it on NG+ if you previously did it on Hard, but it won't be available after doing it on medium, this is something I wish I knew.
Really?
I tried doing NG+ after finishing hard and I had to start a new save file to switch it to Impossible, not that it matters with tip 2 and the Force Gun you're basically unstoppable anyway.
The lighting is absolutely terrifying and makes it truly feel like it’s been through an apocalypse
You forgot one thing to add, this is way better than calistro protocall
How is he killing the enemies with so little ammo? I'm playing on Normal and they take a lottt of ammo if I were to go for body shots (which I don't), but he's shooting them and they're practically exploding.
The game literally tells you these things
You can use kinesis to take those long claws off and shoot them at enemies, use fire extinguishers too, just lob explosive stuff at enemies and save your ammo 👍🏼
you can grab pipes off the walls and break certain shelves for projectiles. if you see the glowing blue on then then you can use it as a projectile.
Pre ordered today, I’m ready to re live this nightmare
Wtf🤣

Never played dead space before bought the remake and god ngl it’s a hard game. Every game especially resident evil I play head shots are what to go for. This game is awesome cause it’s a new style of playing even tho I aim at the head I have to remember limbs are what matters lol
For the Plasma Cutter trophy/achievement do you guys prefer to do it on the first playthrough or save it for the next one? I always prefer to do it first.
I'm doing one gun on 1st playthrough, 2nd playthrough on hard to get all the weapon trophies, then 3rd run on Impossible.
@@jdrahonovsky first run impossible with save scum
#1 Don't go for headshots. Then routinely goes for headshots anyway.
Love these tips! Shooting one leg and then stomping made ammo conservation much easier. The other thing that messed me up was realizing that run was set to a toggle instead of a hold. I was moving very slowly until I realize this
How do I run?
They most certainly do tell you not to go for headshots. There is a tutorial screen about severing limbs. When you pick up the plasma cutter it says on the wall "cut off their limbs" and there is an audio log that says they shot it in the head and it did nothing so they had to shoot its limbs off...
Another tip the game never tells you is ENEMIES CANNOT OPEN DOORS
Is the objective locator differs from the original where the camera goes batcrap 180 and it shows the way as long as you hold the locator button?
It does but you can turn that off in the options.
@@brianw9475 oh damn! Where is it? My current gameplay, the locator only pings once and show the outline on my next objective despite me holding down the locator input.
@@niger5504 are you talking about when you click the Locator button and the camera turns you in the direction to go? Go to Settings, Gameplay and scroll down until you see “Orient View to Locator Path” and turn that on. I hope I’m understanding correctly and not misleading you.
Does it have the suit level
It’s a brutal game. Love it.
Should i backtrack every time when i get a security level upgrade or should i wait until i get all security level keys and than get to open all door in one big run??? im not sure and afraid to miss something if I wait to long. never playd the game before, so i dont knowbif im able to backtrack the whole game until the very end
Sorry I'm a year late wait until new game plus
@@skeeterboythehaloguy16 😂😂 but you responded 👍👍. I finished it whit all trophies so it’s all good. Great game tho
I found that the ripper is handy. The weapon holds the necros back from attacking.
I've been loving it so far.
Great stuff, thx 4 sharing. Just started this game last night. Holy shit!
"11 Things the game doesn't tell you..."
"What the game tells you rather early on..." 😂
No, but in all seriousness, solid video! Keep the good stuff coming! ☺️
Know I am a few months late but a enemy that has been lit on fire seems to take far greater damage from all sources then normal as just using 1 ammo unit from the flame thrower to get them on fire then switching to a pulse rifle or plasma cutter to shoot off their limbs like normal consistently results in me using far fewer shots per limb which is very useful for conserving ammo.
Can’t wait
Here's a tip. When entering zero g, slow down , look around, and use Kinesis to grab loot🎉
This game makes me wish I had a dark room with no windows so I wouldn't have to wait till night to play. I refuse to play horror games in the light.
First time player here on Xbox Game Pass I'm on Chapter 6 game is thrilling love it!
Playing for couple days, I never played any dead space game previously, was a fool not to, game is brilliant, made me jump a few times, weapons are great, haptic feedback is good, looks brilliant, a must buy game in my book
Impossible mode I try not to buy health packs but it's usually to recover health I already lost its a pain knowing that I'll need it for some upgrade or suit later on
2 tips matter 1 is tip 2 on this list and 2 is make sure the gun you keep is The Force Gun.
Once fully upgraded this thing just rips limbs off multiple necros and paired with the Plasma Cutter for singular enemies can carry you the whole game on Hard and maybe Impossible, I'm working on the latter right now.
Ammo drop from enemies depends on what kind of gun you are using. You don't have to have 4 weapons on you. As a veteran I choose to use only Plasma cutter, Ripper, and the Contact beam from the get-go. This works really well as I can focus all the nodes on getting them to max damage early. Pro tip: get that Plasma cutter SP1 upgrade ASAP. Fire does chip damage overtime. Also always telekinesis-grab a blade or explosive ready when entering a new room.
As a veteran 🤡.
We got ourselves a self proclaimed ds vet
that's not a "pro tip" people who haven't even played before know the plasma cutter is the best, so it's common sense to upgrade a weapon in a game. Kinda surprised a "vet" would call a basic function that even the "novice" know 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
@@ramrodbldm9876 who pissed in your cereal bruh
Stasis is spread a bit larger when use on the floor.
If you do the bench node reset pulse rifle grenade launch infinite credit glitch, the last one doesn't mean much, and the glitch is easy. Go to the tram station (( first one you unlock )), very easy.
This game came out in 2008. Also 5 minutes in and it literally tells you to cut of the limbs. Conserving ammo is something that is fundamental in most survival horror games.
"Dead Space does not tell you..." go for the limbs! Its written on the wall of one of the very first rooms. "Consrve ammo!", seriously? Clickbait
Is the stasis cheat code brought back from the original game? If so, I will be spamming Stasis
Before I even begin watching I hope that it details:
•The use of the bench for ammo (not healing or reloading, if you can get to a bench and upgrade your health or gun capacity)
•Isaac's boot is a mighty weapon. If it crawls on the ground by nature, stasis and stomp. If it was supposed to walk but crawls now, just stomp
• Three well placed shots with the plasma cutter will down any walking opponent at the start of the game. If it crawls near Isaac, it's done. You don't even need to stasis the ground crawling walkers. Just - stomp - stomp - stomp -
Honestly, I'd say this list was pretty underwhelming overall. Like some people have pointed out, a lot of the things on this list are in fact told to you in-game. And personally, it's funny that the one thing I thought would be on this list wasn't.
In the remake, there's actually two types of weapons, and using them in tandem is actually the most effective way to fight. The first are stripping weapons, that strip the flesh off necromorphs, and the other is severing weapons used to cut limbs. The Force Gun and Flamethrower are good at stripping. Firing once at a foe will make their limbs thinner and easier to cut for severing guns, allowing for you to save ammo more efficiently overall. The flamethrower in particular is extremely ammo-efficient; you'll find yourself with far too much more often than not even if you occasionally use flame walls to deter groups. Also, when upgraded it can quickly kill Babies with just like 5 ammo. So if you're tired of waiting for those dumb bustards to show their tentacle arms and there's no spikes to throw at them around, the flamethrower can do the job pretty quickly.
Nice
"doesnt tell you" literally tells you in the beginning not to shoot em in the head. lol

Good guide for beginners. If you’re a beginner.
The best weapon is Isaac’s Stop of God.
Go for the legs first. Helps you in crowd control.
Normally your content is great, but this is literally a compilation of things that either the game tells you (the tutorial prompts for some are even in the video!) or are heavily hinted at i.e "cut off the limbs" is literally written on the walls.

I've been Ballin so I've been making a lot of money so I saved money to but I bought a PlayStation January 2023 PlayStation 5. And the PlayStation 5 had no problems at all it's so smooth and solid all the games are better on the PS5 even the PS4 games are better on the PS5 in the PS4 games are on the own PS4 itself. This game is highly addictive it's very fun and I enjoy it and I know they're talking about needing an update patch what it plays really good. The only things that the game did so far as when I went into my inventory it wouldn't let me out of the inventory that's like a bug and then my map where like the GPS where you go or you're supposed to go and it tells you when I was playing some of that game the map it didn't have that blue thing to tell me where to go other than that it's playing good really good
So.. Everything in this video the game literally tells you.

Or maybe the switched out their controller with a guitar hero guitar. Yeah that must be it.
Ah, so you're supposed to cut those basic mobs in half? in the original, I thought you had to cut their arms off. I sucked at the original, didn't get very far with it.
These tips are mostly common sense, honestly. The game tells you repeatedly.

Me too bro. I did it my 1st playthrough of the original so I'm gonna do it in this one. I think it will be even easier this time around
@@PuppyMonkeyBaby209 I think this game is harder. Less money, more aggressive necros and more in numbers. I played the old game end of last year on hard and impossible and impossible felt kinda like difficult in this one. Only that I had even more money and resources on impossible than now. Here you find 100-400 credits. back in the days it was 1k-2k. also now i kinda need health packs bc combat itself is more difficult so i cannot sell as much medkits. upgrades cost money now. well just my experience until now. the new game is such a breeze, loving it. but its not the walk through the park as i thought it would be having finished the old one recently. also, i love that they relocated things/collectibles.. if you know what i mean.
I’ve always used only the plasma cutter in the old trilogy and in the remake now. Even from the first time I played them. I think the plasma cutter is just as viable as any other weapon and not necessarily anything that adds any difficulty. I just love the precision of it.
Missing quick turn
Thus the reason why creators don't respond to Chat. How many people gonna say "The game says this early "?
It's for the dummy-checklist sake. BTW...the game did say this
I beat the game using plasma cutter on my first run cuz I know before remake I did it like multiple times hell no I am not gonna beat it using plasma cutter again
Honestly just play the old one. It tells you everything u need to know
I like it, but I think Callisto Protocol was better. Unpopular opinion, I know.
