In this Dead Space guide, we go over some of the best weapons to use for different scenarios, how to handle upgrades, and how to use stasis and kinesis to their full potential. Isaac Clark needs to stomp, shoot, and even punch his way through every type of necromorph imaginable, so hopefully these Dead Space tips will save you a few grisly deaths.

Destroying the corpses when you enter a room, will greatly help against the infectors.

One can only hope...Dead Space 2 did amp up the intensity on all levels. Isaac turning insane and the revisit of the Ishimura really got me scared AF.

There is rumours they are meant to be making an all new game.
Another tip that can really help out in a pinch, severing limbs which the necros use to attach u with allows them to be picked up with kinesis and used the same way as a rod, meaning u have plenty of effective one shot kill weapons if your smart about it
They don't act like rods, rods are almost always a oneshot kill but a severed blade only takes off one "dismemberment" and I'm fairly sure the actual blade only counts as half of one
@@Noah-rd5ri as far as I've noticed they one shot enemies and stick em to walls exactly like rods
@@abdullahmalik7217 not on hard difficulty that's for sure, you have to either impale them twice or sever another limb to kill

Rods are always one shot kills but claws are generally a two hit kill from full health
When you clear a room a great thing to do is pull the claws off dead necros and gather other Kinesis weapons near the main entrance, so when you return there is a stock ready to unleash on respawns
This remake is so freaking epic. And yet even that is an understatement.
Worth mentioning, and it ain't obvious, that there's terminals you can interact with after acquiring the right logs or clearance for some extra lore. These terminals are noted with the orange LOCKED icon on them requesting a RIG scan.
Example; after you get the captain's rig from the morgue you can interact with the computer in Keye's office to see a recorded hologram of the two talking.
23. Don't assume the game is going to have the same difficulty as the 2008 version. The Normal difficulty more closely approaches the 2008's hard mode in difficulty, and enemies are often spongier than you might expect.
So that's why I'm having a hard time on... Hard
The Ripper can launch the same blade you use with primary fire, time it right so you can get the most out of each blade.

One big tip is that you can customize the controls so that the menu button immediately brings up the map first as opposed to the inventory. Makes things so much more convenient.

You can kill the exploder by cutting his explosive tumor without making it detonate. And there you go, a free powerful explosive that you can throw to your enemies, saving lot of ammo
You can check if a corpse is alive with kinesis. If you pull a part off them, they’re dead. If not, they’re waiting.
Stomping is much more useful in the remake as it will interrupt attacks
Did not know those "tables" could be broke for spikes... was finding them a nuisance thinking they were an item in the distance all this time. 😅

USS? It is the USG Ishimura. Put some respect on its name. Oldest planetcracker with the highest recorded cracks of 35 to date, without including Aegis 7.

One tip for the flamethrower and pulse rifle is to use the alt fire on them and use the tried and true plasma cutter
Yeah laying a proximity mine before a cutscene where you get jacked immediately afterwards, really can work wonders.
Or shoot one at a necromorph and make it twice as deadly on impossible mode :(
There is also a way to get 2 free power nodes not many guides will mention. In chapter 4 you get to an area with a break room. On harder difficulties power nodes are welcome to do upgrades on the plasma cutter. Upgraded it is overpowered AF and it is pretty much the finger gun from WISH!.
Stand in the circle, and press Punch, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp.
Punch Stomp Punch Stomp
Stomp Stomp Punch Stomp and it gives you two free power nodes.
Kinesis the crates while zero gravity, the use kinesis again to retrieve the item inside.
Tip: use your kinesis in zero gravity in any areas when you see bright or shining item, you might get node/credit and etc.
My favourite tactic when dealing with hoards of enemies is using the grativy well to make them clump up together, then use the Contact beam secondary (charge) to finish them.
Dead space, resident evil 4 remake, and dead island all within a few months of each other? This is going to be a great year for the horror genre!

upgrade the plasma cutter and line gun first. If I'm not mistaken the game drops ammo for those guns the most. At least it did for Dead Space 2 and 3

@@youseff500 he didn't mention the line gun. He also didn't mention the high drop rate of ammo for those particular guns.
@@slimtastic24 Yes they did. They clearly said that the game drops only ammo for guns you are carrying on you. If you only carry the Plasma Cutter and Line Gun and put your other guns in storage, that’s the only Ammo you will always find.
@Jinn Remona no man smh lol what I'm saying is there's an even higher drop rate for the plasma cutter and line gun. At least that's how it was in Dead Space 2 and 3
@@slimtastic24 You're imagining it. The game is literally build with a system in place to give you ammo based on the weapons and items in your inventory. So unless you're saying you altered your game's code to make it different, it wasn't prioritizing certain guns, unless those were the only guns you were using.
Gotta change that control preset to DS2 using right bumper instead of the trigger is basically muscle memory

If you don't want to stomp the rooms with bodies. What you can do is make a body pile in the room before you, or chunk them in map hell for there are some holes in the map that the injectors can't reach.
Heres a tip every time they break a vent or even better you melee a vent theres a blade you pick up and throw so everytime they spawn in grab it
You can also just break it yourself for the blade in case you didn’t know. 🎉
Nice move but sometimes the sound of a vent breaking is invaluable
destroying their knife hands can help out. once you destroy one of their arms you can use it with kinesis and throw it at them leaving you with ammo you need if you will be running a higher difficulty game
It’s cool you can kill the flying creature before they create new necromorphs. In the OG game it was frustrating you just had to let it play out & wasted ammo if you tried to stop it.
Just got to this game on gamepass and i've never played the original. this feels like a more serious and grounded RE game set iin a setting more akin to "Alien" and its awesome! love this game so far but im only in chapter 2.

Tip: start on HARD. Normal is way to easy. Even HARD is to easy..

Hot take- line gun destroys the plasma cutter. Wider lane of fire and it’s an absolute monster when fully upgraded.
use the flamethrower to safely dispose of the small enemies that can latch on to you if only one latches does little damage, but the more latched they can chip through your life bar really fast

I'm supriei haven't seen any tips on shooting a mine at a box. Then pick up the box and laser enemies to save ammo and easy kill.

Don’t forget to stomp all the corpse cuz there one enemy that will revive the dead
And don’t forget to shoot first all the necromoph that lying around (just in case they don’t ambush you)

Mega tip. Don’t use the rifle. Worst weapon in the game. Max out stasis and plasma cutter asap. Line gun is the best weapon in the game and force gun is great for utility and swarms. Only loadout you need even for an impossible run.

When you upgrade the Suits Hp it replenish Hp. So plan accordingly!
The same thing happens when you upgrade a weapons capacity, it gives you ammo.

23rd Tip: Absolutely do play this on mouse and keyboard. After first 2 hours on controller. Doing precision cuts on controller was like sausage fingered Charles trying to do heart surgery.

What is the difference between Stasis Zone (Size) and Stasis Energy (ERG)??
Stasis energy gives you more shots of stasis and size increases the area of affect when shot to hit more enemies in a group vs normally hitting only one

The reason why some weapons are worse than other is for the challenge and replay value. Right now I'm trying to use more close to mid range only weapons
