Seems from several other posters...im the only 1 having trouble cleaning the top with the heating element :/
I’m on my 5th one because I love this so much! Simple, does a great job, and does so much. I clean mine after every use. Looks like new inside except for the white plastic clips inside that get burnt. Cons-quality has decreased. The crumb tray is a flimsier metal now and grease now gets between the front, outer glass and the edging. I hate cleaning the wire basket. Gotta let it soak overnight and then use a nylon brush-gets the food off but the grease build up stains. I see there’s a new nonstick basket without all the wire holes so I’m going to try that.
I bought a silicone liner from Amazon that takes the brunt of a mess. I think the cleaning problem with all Air Fryers is the high temp + you can't always see the residual oil/grease until you Seal It On with the next use. Then it's impossible.
Yes, I had to buy my own stainless steel trays. I don't get stuck on food, can put it in the dishwasher, and it is safer to put the food on. I don't understand the need for a non stick tray that gets nasty looking after a few uses even following the pointless instructions. Agree trays need to be stainless steel. How about removable sides and top as well so these can be cleaned? That would be awesome
@@CLCinflorida www.amazon.com/dp/B0798JYWT9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Here is the Amazon link. I have been using them for a few months, they fit a little tight but they do fit. They also warp a little in the oven which makes them a little tight when taking them out but they are safer for the food so the slight tightness does not bother me. The trays can be cleaned really well. I have used them almost daily for the past 4 months or so and they clean well with just soap and occasionally some baking soda, so no harsh chemicals. They look the same as when I bought them.
How do you clean the inside top between the elements and the back wall of there are little dots left from the food without scrubbing? I don't have a lot, but if I don't get it off, it's going to keep building up.
Here's the real fix: Make a paste of baking soda, ORANGE OIL, a drop of dish soap and some water. Apply to the surfaces (inner and outer) with a damp cloth or dollar store foam paintbrush. Then rub and remove with a damp microfiber cloth until residue is all gone. Dry with a clean, dry cloth. Not perfect, but pretty amazing and the bad odors gone!

I have the same issues with cleaning my Cuisinart Airfryer oven. I religiously clean it after every use but the stuck on grease is really hard to get out with just soap and water. I decided to try Homax 10120000 Steel Wool, 12 pad, Grade #0000, Rhodes American, Final Finish (purchased via Amazon). It is a super fine steel pads and it does not scratch the interior of the oven. I use the super fine pads on my ceramic stove and just with a little water and dawn liquid all grease and dirt are removed. Note: the top grill of my Cuisinart Airfryer oven is very difficult to clean I’ve not tried the super fine pads as of yet because that area is really difficult to get to but I may give it a shot.
Air frying one tray of wings will coat the inside of the oven! I added no oil. After cooking the inside was a dripping greasy mess. It was very difficult to clean. I wiped it down immediately but the grease was in every nook and granny. This video is not real to life.
Hello, this is my third cuisinart airfryer. I went through two (toa-60) within last 5 five years. I purchased another one toa-70 today. I like the airflyer becasuse most parts are stainless steel. The two things I don't like about it, 1, the plug only has two prongs not three prongs which might causes some safety issues, 2. it is very difficult to clean. I clean it after every use, but the grease doesn't come off, especially the top part of inside the oven. I did some research on youtube, so far, haven't find a good solution. any suggestion. thanks.
great tips, would love to see one on how to regulate the temp, mine runs 100 to 150 degrees hotter than what I have it set too, way to much fluctuation
I only use my cuisinart air fryer for cooking filet mignon. It’s a heavy duty activity. This method of cleaning would NEVER be enough to clean the over after cooking a filet. I was hoping to get more hard core tips. 😢
Using the air blower setting spews fluids around inside the oven from bacon fat or anything else which is a liquid such as a marinade on meat. Getting that off the fan is impossible. I never use the air blower settings. I just use the "broil" on plain "broil" and the "bake" on plain "bake. The air blower settings can make things cook faster but the down side of that: the machine gets really filthy in a short time. I'd rather take five more minutes to get a meal done than have to use half an hour to clean up the mess.
@@oilcoolman Do I care about that? No, I don't. It's a lot larger than a standard toaster oven. Which means: casserole dishes and other containers will fit in it. That's why I bought it.
@@oilcoolman Frankly, I think this air frying business is just another food fad. I see there are dozens of machines that do nothing but this air frying and I never buy a machine for kitchen / cooking use which is so "dumb" it does only one thing.
The key is to never use your toaster oven to actually cook with. This ensures that these methods work very well. Gentle cleaning with mild soapy water ha ha ha! She has not used this toaster oven every day to cook more than toast for a few days.
Ok so problem, we have grease buildup above the heating elements and now it smokes when we use it. That area is almost impossible to reach, any suggestions?

Anyone else lost 5 min to this demo of how to clean an oven that doesn’t need to be cleaned? How many people at Cuisinart saw this useless video and thought: yep, great job, upload! 🙄
Yes! This video is a joke and just made me laugh 😂 I just bought the Cuisinart T065 AirFryer and I was dumbfounded when it said not to put aluminum foil in it! I had a regular Cuisinart Toaster oven and used aluminum foil which helped keep it clean. I’m now fearing the worst after reading everyone’s comments 😮
I never realized how fast grease gets on the inside and unless we use an oven cleaner which is not recommended; the inside is galvanized steel which has a special finish that gets ruined if you use oven cleaners. I use the latter on my stove top (glass) and it's better than anything I used before!
@@vivi-uz7qq I threw that out after I made the comment, but because it stopped working properly. We have a Kitchenaid that works great - I noticed oil gets spattered around as well, but it eventually gets burned through subsequent cooking. We have been making chicken wings ourselves, which are of course much better…but as with any new small appliance, the user has to figure out what temp does the best job for the project.

It's easy to clean an oven out of the box. How about you show us how to clean one that's actually being used ! Why did Cuisinart not go the distance and equip this oven with a stainless steel cooking tray instead of the cheap aluminum one that looks like its vit for the garbage heap after three uses. You should see it after the one year I've used it ! I have always liked Cuisinart products but I could never recommend this one because of how difficult it is to keep clean. Too bad because it works well.
How much should it smoke on 1st use? Also, doesn't the fan inside turn when it's on air fry or the bake setting with the little fan symbol in front of "bake"?
I have somehow got grease inside the glass panels on the front. The front and the back are spotlessly clean but there's a grease stain running down the middle..
This makes me sooo mad. I have been through three ruined dinners. Had three panel outages from air fryer. I cannot clean it-I spent hours on the inside. today I turned to oven upside-down to try to clean top. I showed my husband what happed after just three air fryer uses. He was shocked and you can get it clean. So reasonably speaking it will gather buildup and catch fire. I was hiring an electrician to come out to see if I can add more power -but why spend hundred of dollars over a product that is inherently deficient.(because of cleaning). I bought new brushes to try to clean inside top of oven and that dosnt work-all i have done is spend money on this stupid thing- how can it pass tests-its going to burn someones house down.
Does anyone know how to remove the metal guards over the heating elements? Havent found a video that shows this and they don't feel like they retract out
I have this airfryer and I use it every day.. my only problem is that it is starting to stop working on me... the power light will shut off and it will stop working until I hit the side or slam the door open and shut... this is a new development... is there anyway I can fix it?
I had the same problem it eventually stopped altogether for me. This machine is known to malfunction. If you still have your receipt of purchase and are still in warranty you can send it back to the company at YOUR expense. They do not fix the machine they just replace the whole thing with a new one. If you send it back try to figure out if mailing it to the company is cheaper than getting a new one if not dont bother sending it.
@@camillab4601 I purchased several Geek Chef units that look (and I suspect are) exactly like this one. All quickly developed power problems like yours.
Useless tutorial. This video shows a never used oven being gently wiped on the outside and barely on the inside. How does one effectively clean the sides and top panel when it is caked with grease? When the heating elements prevent you from getting to the actual panels? When the door constantly shuts if you try to turn the oven on its side? It's obvious they don't really care how well you clean it so you are forced to eventually buy another one from them.
Very true! That was a brand new oven. Mine is a grease pit after using it to air fry for 2 years. Mine was leaking grease or oil out the back end of the oven and on to my counter. I’ve clean it a few times, but it’s impossible to get the grease off. This is not a realistic video! I stick the basket and the pan under it in the dishwasher with no problems. It gets the grease off, but the inside is disgusting!
I just picked one up on craigslist, and I'm not sure it's ever been cleaned. Even a high-concentration dish soap and hot water with a LIGHT abrasive sponge can't even get the baked-on-crud on the glass, and even a 409 "Stainless" cleaner doesn't sem help with a very delicately-abrasive, well-worn sponge. Anyone else totally "over" the stainless trend? Ha! Unless it's like the commercial-grade, industrial-use stainless you see in commercial food-prep areas and tools, it seems like the consumer grade stuff is way way way too problematic for daily use. Hilariously, I just bought a "fingerprint resistant" microwave, and where is the one surface that doesn't have the reistant coating? The handle. The ONE place you touch it every time you use it. *sigh*
It’s impossible to get the grease off just mild soap and water. I’m not impressed with your simple method of cleaning! Really, how do you clean this appliance ??
This is so hard to clean after you actually use it. The trays and baskets go black very quickly. it's very hard to clean, i try and clean it right away after each use and it still goes black. I totally regret buying this because it is so hard to clean.
Comments below, I agree. I love my Ninja round fryer but basket is deep. Got this and have to say serious disappointment. Hard to clean, oh yes! Light goes out when door opened though the switch is on the right inside the door. Sorry I ever saw the thing. Excitement soon died and it was expensive. For what? In other review it was said knobs broke off. Puzzled by this till I got one. Understand the numbers are fixed to the stove body. On a regular stove, the numbers move WITH the knob, not on this thing. If you must have one, look for a store with in-store replacement warranty. This thing is heavy and bit therefore expensive to ship.

This video is a complete JOKE! As mentioned, Demonstrate USEING A DIRTY OVEN! I ended up using EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER. The seams around the glass window and the lower door seal are a nightmare to clean, the window has to be removed if you want the edges clean. After using the EASY OFF I rinsed the inside of the oven and let it bake @200deg for 15 minutes to bake off the leftover water. You will NEVER get this oven as clean as it comes new.
This has got to be one of the most useless videos on RUclips that I watched today. You should consult Mark Rober to see if it takes a NASA engineer to come up with an air fryer oven that has heating elements elsewhere so that we can actually physically clean the top part of the oven.
Y'all really need to show how actual people who USE the air fryer can clean it. It's impossible to get to the the 'roof' of the oven and that's where most of the grease goes. This is really a design flaw, and that's why there are no helpful tips to get it done. You either ruin the finish by spraying in oven cleaner or just deal with having eternal buildup. I used a Lodge scraper for cast iron skillets (hard plastic) to scrape off loose/lightly adhered gunk with pretty good results, but there's really no good way once anything is burned on. That grease is polymerized and it's never coming off.
Wow How to Clean A Brand New Air Fryer Soooooooo Informative!! The lazyness wiping the vents is all you need to ......or don't need to see. Is this REALLY Cuisinart ? Disappointing. Maybe my 6 year old could use this for how to do dishes ?
With so many people using air fryers these days, me included, you'd figure they would come up with a spray by now. Like one that's used in an oven, to clean an air fryer...SMH
I put them both in the dishwasher. It's going to get a baked on grease coating no matter what you do. The "Non-stick" is complete bullshit. It's going to get dark brown with baked on grease and theres nothing you can do except just make sure the loose burnt stuff is scrubbed off so it doesnt get on the food.
An actual DIRTY oven would be more believable. The top inside is impossible to clean. Can this be unplugged and then flipped over to clean around the element? Also putting a Splash guard inside top…like ninja models have…would make this a LOT easier to clean.
come on, really cuisinart? This is your official video to clean your air fryer? Is this a joke? This actually hurt your brand by not recognizing a real cleaning video.
Well that wasn't helpful at all . 1st of all my door does not stay down so it's really hard to clean it while holding the door. 2nd how are you supposed to clean in between the heating rods on the top part of the machine it's virtually impossible to get in between them to clean.

I wish she didn't demonstrate on a squeaky clean new oven. I would have liked to see her clean a really gross one (like mine) with just soapy water and soft cloth.
they need to change the title to how to clean a oven out of the box. This vid is useless! I was hoping that someone in the comments found an easier way to clean the top...theres a cover on the heating element with a bunch of little squares which Im finding to be a PITA to clean. the side/backwall isnt bad....i usually wipe down about 1/wk as i dont use the oven daily for baking/airfrying that would cause baked on grease.
If u are on ur 5th one... it usually means the product isnt durable. Might want to find a longer lasting replacement?
I bought a silicone liner from Amazon that takes the brunt of a mess. I think the cleaning problem with all Air Fryers is the high temp + you can't always see the residual oil/grease until you Seal It On with the next use. Then it's impossible.
What do you uee?
PLEASE Make the Tray STAINLESS STEEL...
@@alinamarculetiu1288 Where did you buy a Stainless Tray that Fit 🤔??
@@CLCinflorida

Here is the Amazon link.
@@alinamarculetiu1288 Thank you!!!!!
Not perfect, but pretty amazing and the bad odors gone!
has anyone tried it, does it work?
I just bought one to replace my old one. Do you use any foil or parchment papers while doing the cooking ? Does the oven tilt in the front ? My counter is leveled.
Thanks for the tips, I, clean it after every use because, I, don’t like seeing grease buildup and it make it easier for me.
Air frying one tray of wings will coat the inside of the oven! I added no oil. After cooking the inside was a dripping greasy mess. It was very difficult to clean. I wiped it down immediately but the grease was in every nook and granny. This video is not real to life.
yup your oven is doomed forever . Same with me , first cooking was wings ,, then spent three weeks trying to clean and failed .. cant be done.
Wow you are cleaning a clean oven
Can I clean it with the Pink Stuff Paste?
Umm, how do I clean the inside of baked on stuff?
Hello, this is my third cuisinart airfryer. I went through two (toa-60) within last 5 five years. I purchased another one toa-70 today. I like the airflyer becasuse most parts are stainless steel. The two things I don't like about it, 1, the plug only has two prongs not three prongs which might causes some safety issues, 2. it is very difficult to clean. I clean it after every use, but the grease doesn't come off, especially the top part of inside the oven. I did some research on youtube, so far, haven't find a good solution. any suggestion. thanks.
great tips, would love to see one on how to regulate the temp, mine runs 100 to 150 degrees hotter than what I have it set too, way to much fluctuation
these tips are completely useless .. what video are you watching ??
I'd rather take five more minutes to get a meal done than have to use half an hour to clean up the mess.
so basically you have an expensive toaster oven , not an air fryer.
@@oilcoolman Do I care about that? No, I don't.
It's a lot larger than a standard toaster oven. Which means: casserole dishes and other containers will fit in it. That's why I bought it.
@@emmawillard1832 oh i agree... i love my oven , its just that i cant use it for what its designed for as it makes such a mess.
@@oilcoolman Frankly, I think this air frying business is just another food fad. I see there are dozens of machines that do nothing but this air frying and I never buy a machine for kitchen / cooking use which is so "dumb" it does only one thing.
@@emmawillard1832 couldn't agree more.my toaster oven died which j used every single day. so mostly use it as that now don't even use air fry feature.
That's a new Cuisinart. Thanks you for your effort
Owner's guide says the basket and baking/drip pan is dishwasher safe. The crumb tray and wire rack are not.
Now let's see this done with an Air Fryer with burnt grease on the walls and coil covers 🙂
Ditto

The key is to never use your toaster oven to actually cook with. This ensures that these methods work very well. Gentle cleaning with mild soapy water ha ha ha! She has not used this toaster oven every day to cook more than toast for a few days.
This video should’ve been called how to clean a brand new air fryer that’s never been used
This just changed my life 😭 I never knew there was a crumb tray. I was trying to figure out how to clean that.
🤣🤣🤣 after having it for nearly a month i just realized there was a crumb tray today.
I’ve had this for 2 years, just saw the crumb tray now
Oh my gosh you guys. Read your manual!!!!! Smh
Any idea on how to change the internal light bulb? It seems that you have to disassemble the whole oven in order to do that.
Is the rack stainless steel? All inside de oven parts… stainless steel or aluminum??? thank you!
Help...I just bought this model and want to ask how do I turn the oven off if the food is ready before the timer goes off?
What the hell is this? How to clean a clean oven? And showing me how to use soapy water and a microfiber towel? Thanks for nothing.
Ok so problem, we have grease buildup above the heating elements and now it smokes when we use it. That area is almost impossible to reach, any suggestions?
How do I clean the fan area? The grease is stuck on.
You don't
Y)OU CANT REACH IT-there ae heating elements there -
That's what I was hoping to find instead of this video:(
that's what I really wanted to know...and you can't...so you just have wait until it smokes up your house, starts a fire or you just throw it away and get a new one...all air fryers are like this...give me my oven again!
Show us how to clean a really dirty one. Mine is really dirty because I just made two batches of wings in it. Geez that one has never even been used seriously?
I gave up with her recommendation and used soray easy off. I am it sure how it will work and it may voud the warranty but i couldn't stand the grease on the top. So it was either easy off or the trash bin.
Anyone else lost 5 min to this demo of how to clean an oven that doesn’t need to be cleaned? How many people at Cuisinart saw this useless video and thought: yep, great job, upload! 🙄
"yeah upload .. that should sell us a few more of these latest fad .. next time we disable comments though "
😂
I use the latter on my stove top (glass) and it's better than anything I used before!
thank you so much for this!! i was about to use some fume free easy off, but wanted to make sure it was safe
@@vivi-uz7qq Even with a fume free, the rinsing you'd have to do is too much. Any recomended cleaning methods are listed in the booklet of instructions.
I love my air fryer. I'm on my second one. But I have a large family and it is used all the time. It is hard to clean. The top inside is terrible.
has anyone tried a steam cleaner for the top which is impossible to clean?
If you dont clean it your Air Fryer, it will fry the air and blow more smoke than Snoop Dogg on a choo choo train.
I'm not able to get the grease off the sides of the oven & it smokes up my house when I use it.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please email MarketingCommunications@cuisinart.com so we can better assist you.
That's a hell of a lot of issues after only three uses, therefore I call BS
Does anyone know how to remove the metal guards over the heating elements? Havent found a video that shows this and they don't feel like they retract out
Again, it’s easy to clean a new clean oven! They need to make all removable trays and baskets dishwasher safe!!
This oven has not been used. Would like to see you clean a used oven after frying chicken wings.
This is a joke! So disappointed with Cuisinart! Now tell us how to really deep clean the unit!
how do I take the glass inside clean in between the glass
Like to see her clean a dirty oven and how to get grease off-
Me too please!
My cuisinart air fryer oxidized just months after I got it. It looks horrible, I works well but the materiales are not good.
Mine lasted 3 years & 5 mos. Just past the warranty.
You're cleaning an airfryer that doesnt need to be cleaned... I wish you were more realistic about how dirty they can get...
*sigh*
Good advise thank you.
I agree! Get one from a typical owner so you can see that hot sudsy water just doesn't work.
How is a wire basket that can handle 450° NOT dishwasher safe?
How to get rid of the smell in my new one
Next video Cuisinart needs to make: how to replace the bad cooking type switch, and maybe the door cutoff switch, too.
This does not explain any method for removing baked on grease. Nothing to learn in this video. 😢
This video only shows you how to clean a new airfryer
So every time you use it you do all this to keep the interior clean!! Wow! Not for me! 😀
What a useless video. Please show how to clean the dirty, greasy oven, with grease baked into the walls. Just wiping with soapy water or other cleaners doesn't work. "Make sure you clean it well and keep that clean" is not helpful.
I'm sorry but this vídeo is not true. I clean my Cuisinart air fryer when i use it and it has greasy stains! I have bo clue how to get rid of them. I tried what you said in this video but it doesn't work.😢
I have so much grease stuck to the top it’s impossible to clean with the heating elements in the way… Honestly I’m about to just take my air fryer to my shop, tape the safety door button down, and hose her down with brake cleaner… let’s see what happens
I'm just going to buy a good toaster oven that doesn't air fry. Lots less mess to clean.
Why are the racks not dishwasher safe? Sort of defeats the purpose.
Great video! Thank you! I want to take care of my oven so I can keep it for a long time!
With so many people using air fryers these days, me included, you'd figure they would come up with a spray by now. Like one that's used in an oven, to clean an air fryer...SMH
It would be good if they used an actual human-used air fryer from a real family in oh-say-for-instance Iowa.
This video is worthless.
You can't put the basket in the dishwasher but what about the pan?
I put them both in the dishwasher. It's going to get a baked on grease coating no matter what you do. The "Non-stick" is complete bullshit. It's going to get dark brown with baked on grease and theres nothing you can do except just make sure the loose burnt stuff is scrubbed off so it doesnt get on the food.
@@Shadowmib is there a cleaning liquid that could cut thru this grease and grime safely?
I put the tray, basket, and rack in the dishwasher. No problems, and they stay clean. Unlike the oven.
