  • LINK to Cuisinart: amzn.to/2HKcYw8 Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Cuisinart TOA-60 Air Fryer Toaster Oven Watch Airfryer Reviews: • Philips AirFryer Review
I'll make toast, french fries and chicken wings to test this unit.
Use position 2, the top for broiling, airfrying and toasting. Position 1 is for baking.
If you’re cooking a frozen pizza, you can put it directly on the rack in position 2.
When baking, just like a regular oven, you can heat the unit up for 5 minutes, then put your cake or muffin batter in the oven and start the timer.
Convection baking circulates hot air around the food so there’s even browning. It’s best for breads and pizzas. If your recipe says bake at 425 and you want to use the convection oven function. Set your temp to 400. The convection baking temp is generally 25 degrees less than the standard oven baking temp.
Don’t cover the crumb tray or oven with foil, causes overheating. The only way you should use foil is to fit it inside the pan, it shouldn’t touch the wall or anywhere outside the pan.
Don’t use glass dishes while broiling.
To turn off the unit, turn the on/oven timer and on/toaster timer dials to off. Power light turns off.
To clean, wait for the unit to cool. The outside can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried.
The sides of the oven are nonstick so it’s easier to clean up. Wipe the inside using mild soap on a cloth or sponge. Don’t use anything abrasive like steel wool pads. Clean the top of the oven especially after cooking greasy foods. Slide out the crumb tray and throw out the crumbs. The rack, pan, basket and crumb tray are hand wash only in hot soapy water, you can use a nylon scouring pad or brush on them if you need to. They are not dishwasher safe.
I hope you found this review helpful. Please subscribe and I’ll see you next time. Thanks for watching :)

You did a great job on the review and the demos. I use this air fryer a lot and am quite pleased. I use other recipes prepared with another brand air fryer and just alter the Cuisinart cooking time and all works fine. I take the fryer tray out to turn all the food I make, since this tray is no deep air fryer pan like others on the market that you just shake. It takes a minute or less to turn food, so it doesn't hurt cooking time. I ordered another tray and basket from Cuisinart so I can cook batches quickly when I have family over. I give a quick oil spray to everything except chicken if I don't use flour or batter.

The reason your dial mechanical timer was off is you have to spin the dial well past the time you want and then spin it backwards. Example: for 10 minutes, spin the dial past 10 to 30 and then back to 10. This prevents the timer from slowing down near the end.

Also, everything Air Fry's better with a little oil tossed with even coating first. I use a 3-blend oil or olive oil. Lastly my favorite hack is a good steal from frozen to medium- rare. Season frozen to taste. You are going to use the air fry function. You will need to cook both 🔥sides 🔥 at Oz weight X 10 -12 minutes PER SIDE @ 400 DEGREES- BOOM! Excellent review. I got this Air-Fryer Oven as an early Christmas present that my children bought me on Black Friday. I tried making home cut french fries. I let the potato slices sit in water for a couple of hours; I know most people don't do this. I drained them and put them on a dish towel, tossed them with a tablespoon of olive oil, lightly salted them with table salt, and set the timer for 15 minutes. Around 7 minutes, I took them out and rotated the tray. I was very happy with them, but the bottom sides of most of them were a pale yellow or whitish color. They were crisp on the outside and a bit soft on the inside. On my 2nd try, I cooked them around 3-4 minutes longer; at the halfway mark, I took the basket out, rotated the tray and turned the fries over. That is a bit of extra work, but it is the way I will normally cook them. I am very happy with the fries. My next dish will be chicken wings.

I bought mine Jan.29. It runs a lot hotter than the temp dial is set to; I had a large Farberware counter top convection oven since nov.1995; the temp set was the temp it cooked at. This just about burned my scratch biscuits, and I have made them the same way for years. This oven bakes at about 75 to 100* hotter than it is set for; When I have the dial set to 350, it runs 425 to 450 degres . I tested it at different temp settings and tested with an oven thermometer and a digital laser temp gun; this oven gets so hot that the cords in the wall outlet get really hot, and I had it pulled at least a foot from th wall. I rewarmed a take out rotisserie chicken for supper tonight; I had to stand in front of the oven, constantly watching the chicken, because I set it for about 325 and it ran around 450 degrees! I am taking it back. I only wanted it for baking cakes, cornbread and biscuits; I did not like the results of its air frying; the fries were too burned and others under browned. For me, it is not worth $199.99 if I have to stand in front of it. And the timer never made a sound, even when I turned it past the time and then back to the desired time; it never cuts off.

I love my Cuisinart and use it all the time. I found that 400 degrees was too high for most foods so I usually air fry at about 375 degrees. I've had two machines and I find they both needed to have the temp lowered. With my first machine it stopped working after two years. Fortunately, it is warranted for three yrs so Cuisinart sent me a new machine without argument and I sent back the old one in the box the new one came in. I find that I sometimes have to turn the food over to crisp the underside and sometimes not. I rarely use the time listed to cook food because it usually cooks sooner. I like to coat my food like wings and they come out perfect. I usually have to make sure I put the kitchen fan on because the appliance releases a lot of smoke to the extent that my smoke alarms go on. I also open the door slowly so that the fan pulls the smoke away before the alarm goes on. Since there is so much controversy about aluminum foil leaching onto the food, I now use unbleached parchment paper while air frying which works great and doesn't burn.

Where is your oven in your kitchen? I had mine almost one year before the Function knob stopped moving as it should. It cooks evenly, fast and quietly. It bakes, broils, toast AND air-fries. I wish I knew about this machine before I bought my bulky air fryer. Getting dinner on the table is a breeze, I dont have to worry about burning like I use to have to and I've become more creative w my Vegan recipes. I watched this video because I want to use the air fryer for the first time to make Cauliflower "sticky chicken"......and this video really helped me with this task as well as other features I did not know about. FYI I use this very often and I cook the wings for about 8-10 minutes, flip them, then about 2 min more. (Never needed 20 minutes). Prior to cooking I generously season with a seasoning called Mesa Rosa Chipotle from Urban Accents or Stubbs Bar B Que is good. The Urban Accents is a finer powder so it seems to work better. These are crispy and they honestly taste like they have been fried in a fyer with that seasoning on them! Hamburgers and hot dogs also come out very well. Crispy on the outside. I turn fries a few times when I do them. Tater-tots that I generously season with garlic and salt/pepper and sometimes chipotle powder are also great, but you do have to turn them. I put olive oil spray to keep them from sticking. Only problem with this over is it is a bit of a pain to clean. I came to this video to learn how to clean the top. I can't figure out how you do that! There is a coil on the top and I can't get under it to clean grease off. I also can't get the door from being yellowed, even though I clean it often. Any ideas?

ProTip: Whenever baking vegetables (including air-fried fries) add salt after cooking. Adding salt before cooking prevents the vegetables from drying out and crisping on the outside optimally.

#1. This is a fantastic air fryer.
#2 I bought one. And I used it and loved it.
#3 make sure that you have PLENTY and enough air circulating ALL around the unit. I had my pushed a little too close to the back of where it was sitting despite thinking I was all good.
#4 IF you do something stupid like that you will burn up your air fryer. Truly..
#5 And you will be so mad at yourself..you could spit.
#6 200 is a tough pill to swallow.
So when I buy another one, it will be this unit. And I have learned my lesson.
    So there you go.

I would turnover the chicken and complete the cooking cycle. I would turnover the fries as soon as they turned brown, and they would evenly cook on both sides. Use a small metal spatula for the fries; and tongs for the chicken. It would prevent tearing or breaking.

We love how it works when it works. The original one I bought worked great for about a year and then the door switch failed. I contacted cuisinart and they sent me a replacement since it was within the warranty period. Got my brand new replacement a little over one year ago and on this one the function switch has failed. Although the replacement would have been within the two year warranty they only back the replacement to the end of your original warranty period. So the function switch can be replaced but it’s VERY difficult to get to it and does require soldering! I will not buy another one!

Some of these air fryers have a huge footprint and so does this one. My thinking was, if it’s going to take up so much room it better do more than air fry. And this one does. We got rid of the toaster, because we like the end results of making toast in it, and we explore and use the other features. No more left over pizza heated up in the microwave

Have my Cuisinart almost two years. I enjoy using it but you do have to watch the time as it cooks faster then a regular oven or BBQ. I use Dawn Powerwash on a sponge to clean when unit is cool. I cook some things in an aluminum pan I buy at the dollar store, just have to turn food to cook other side. doesn’t take any longer to cook. Keeps oven clean then if I don’t use aluminum pan. If you use foil use the shiney side to cook on. Does not hurt unit. If you have a food thermometer it is a good idea to her internal food temperature.

I have had this exact unit for more than 6 months now and I find I have become addicted to making chicken wings in it... I prefer to do all the same size pieces at one time instead of mixing as you have done. I do all the Drumettes together as they seem to take a little longer than the wingettes. Mine cook at 375 degrees for ten minutes each side for the drumettes. I turn them over half way through the air-frying... The wingettes take 8 minutes each side. It looks great on my counter-top and is very easy to clean. I would never cook fries without at least turning the tray back-to-front half-way through the cooking time, as that way they will brown more evenly. The back always cooks hotter it seems, so when I do wings, I put the biggest pieces to the back and the smaller to the front so they cook evenly. I am very happy with my Cuisinart unit.

  • @lonestarhog7407

I have had my Cuisinart for about six months, and love it. HOWEVER, the thing requires that you be a contortionist to effectively clean the top of the inside. ALSO, the designer obviously never cleaned one. Why? Because you need a light source to see inside while cleaning. Why? Because the *genius designer* allows the light to work only with the appliance operating and door closed, and I personally don't fit inside the appliance. I would like to use a mild spray oven cleaner, but that is a no-no. Suggestions are certainly welcome.

    • @ceecee8757

This is an excellent review video. Very detailed, clear instructions and very nice to see how food actually comes out. I was also pleased to see/hear the controls being used. NO SCREECHY BEEPING, YAY!!!
Being new to air fryers, I purchased one of the round, basket styles and although it works great, there are two things really getting on my nerves: the incessant, screechy beeping for EVERY function (beep when basket put in, beep when basket pulled out, beep when time is set, beep for temperature setting, beep when finished, oh dear God, why????) and also the basket being deep, making it difficult to place liquid items inside and being at risk for burning hands. So I am thinking about giving it away and getting a multi-function unit such as this. This was SO helpful!

Whenever cooking in our school cafeterias, the pans of food are always turned 180 degrees half way through cooking, and the items on the pan are flipped over to cook the underside. Do you think this would give you a much more optimal result in your cooked food if one did this using this Cuisinart Tabletop Oven? Our ovens were NEW. Thanks!

I had the Philips Air Fryer. Worked very well. After 3 months, my wife noticed it was damaging the expensive kitchen cabinets. Think of it. Very hot steam mixed with minuscule food fragments shoots out, like an old fashioned steam kettle. Only get these if you have an island with no cabinet over it,
Don’t know if this model has the same problem. The steam has to go somewhere.

Um been using basket air fryers for years under my cabinets, no issues at all. I suspect you have low cabinets. BTW what are you cooking that produces steam? crank that heat up. Sure for a minute there may be a little steam but once it heats up the air will be hot and mostly dry. I almost always use my air fryer at highest, unless I am cooking things like hard boiled eggs or certain frozen foods where I need to cook the inside before burning the outside. So again if you see steam coming out you are doing it wrong.

I replaced this oven for my old Breville (which I loved) but it was just too big for my space. This Cuisinart has some nice accessories like bamboo cutting board that fits right on top. All of the accessories that will work for this appliance are on Amazon. I do plan to purchase some as the weather changes. This is the only oven I own and so far it suits my needs well and I clean the trays with white vinegar and a gentle scrub daddy sponge. It’s perfect for tiny kitchens.
