- Put the POWER back in the power armors of Fallout New Vegas with the classic power armor overhaul mod: Titans of The New West 2.0. It offers vanilla+, classic style models, textures, shaders, that significantly enhance the appearance of every single power armor in the game, without breaking the existing graphics cohesion. Included are many new features such as built-in Pip-Boy, satisfying sound effects, customization options, and other extra content. It is also the biggest animation mod ever released for New Vegas. With well over 1500 full body animation files in total, nearly every aspect of third person gameplay is covered. The animations seek to bring back the flair and attitude of the classic games, with some taking direct inspirations from the sprites. Whether it's spin cocking a Winchester, or mowing down mutants with an one-handed minigun, or bashing raiders' skulls in with a super sledge, it is now possible to be the hulking metallic titans that roamed the post-apocalyptic New West, in New Vegas, instead of just imagining it. Style, coolness, badassery, and most importantly, the power, in power armor, is back.

The one thing I will give credit to Fallout 4 is how they made Power Armor feel massive like it did in 1 and 2
Very true. My issues with Fallout 4's Power Armor boils down to balancing, the awkwardness of the animations making it feel too bulky and awkward instead of like an advanced technological suit, and the suits looking extremely uncomfortable to wear and requiring the model to contort inside of it for it to even work.

There's something, besides the addition of Fusion Cores as a way to somewhat not make you OP (failed), maybe is just the shape of PA parts that looks odd, but this mod is exactly what close that gap.

PA in F4/76 does feel like enough power, but now you mentions it way too much armor; looks like the user is grinding every muscle to manage to control it, not that he is yes heavy and somewhat slow, but could rip a Deathclaw in half, barehanded
@@wybubWell in my opinion, a Power Armor is meant to be a walking tank so that bulky part have a meaning to it and plus the only lacking is you can get that power armor EARLIER instead of needing a some sort of a knowledge like in the previous games like FO3/NV which lacks immersion of Fallout itself
@@jetpilledmyron2056it looks like that because the user isn’t even the one controlling the armor. Remember, the user is basically inside a mech suit, so once he enters, all of the servos and hydraulics systems take over and do the work for the user. That’s literally the point. If they didn’t work the user wouldn’t be able to use the armor.

@@GivenForver EMP based weaponry fries the corquitry of both robots and Power Armor systems effectively, making users either electrocuted or vulnerable.
However, such weaponry is hard to find, so expertly trained and skilled snipers are more effective, shooting at weak points and between joints to effectively hurt enemy armored troops, if not damage their power units and/or life supporting systems, forcing the enemy to remove their helmets or exit their armors, effectively rending them an easy prey.

Reminder that Power Armor in the original Fallout was inpired by 40K's Marine Armor. I think Titans does the concept justice.
That would explain why the Bos is in a way religious about their ways
They even utilize different Brotherhood chapters across the US just like the space marine legions
@@overdriveinsane7721 There's a lot of parallels to 40K when you start looking into it, specially from 1 to NV (haven't noticed much from 4 and onwards). Guess how many franchises call people with psychic powers "psykers"?
It lines up way more to how big power armor looked in the first 2 games
Which is why the weapons in Fallout are as if not more powerful on a type by type basis.
I adore the animations clearly being based on fallout 1 and 2, I’ve always wanted them to be ported to New Vegas and this does it successfully very nice work.

@@tomdeneen4880 I think there are some out there. Specifically, the mod that brings back a lot of the classic Fallout 1 and 2 weapons (forgot the name but its really popular and got a remaster to add more weapons and fix some bugs).
The power armor in FO3/NV feels like Power Armor cosplay. 4 made it feel like an actual mechanized armored suit, and really gave this impression of being a buffer between you (the player) and the outside. Just little details like the way the rain blotched as it landed on the visor, the way you had to get into it and get out of it, and not just put it in your inventory. I'm sure this mod doesn't do some of that, but at least it offers the impression of that proper bulk of a fully mechanized armored chassis.
Nah this is an L the power armor in fallout 3 and nv at least look like the original armors I agree there too smal but fallout 4s looks like too fat this mod got the look perfect and the armor looks good in the show

I love that certain weapons are wielded one-handed rather than scaling them to a bigger size
Fallout 4 had this issue where almost every weapon looks ridiculously large in your character's hands because the devs scaled it to accommodate for Power Armor
They turned the 10mm pistol into an anchor for a small boat and it still only holds 12 rounds. You could fit a RL 10mm that holds 15+1 inside of it and still have space left over.

God, I wish someone would add complementary 1st person animations to this mod. The animations are absolutely stunning, so it's a shame that people primarily playing in 1st person don't get to see them.

If you play with the Enhanced Camera mod, I think there is a setting to use third person arms in first person. I know its not *exactly* like what you want, considering you’d lose the ability to ADS properly but its as close as your gunna get. And who knows, it might look really good.

I'm not going to lie, in FO1 after I got my first suit of power armor, I saved my game and went on power fist massacre in Shady Sands and Junktown just to get the power trip out of my head.
I entered my first suit of T-51B power armor back in February after completing the BoS questline and omg was it the most satisfying thing. Even more with the advanced power armor in 2. PA and Plasma Caster. That’s my build.
Titans of the New West is genuinely one of my favorite cosmetic mods. its so well made that you can't even tell its a mod if youve never played the gamebryo fallouts before.

I've never done a playthrough with power armor. I think this just sparked my desire to. Incredible. This is how I envisioned it should have worked out in Fallout 4.

I got this from the algorithm and thank you cause this is an amazing revamp of the fnv power armor. My favorite part of all this is that you one hand heavy weapons, which is a great return from the fallout 1 & 2 games. I will definitely try this out.

This looks incredible, almost a dream come true. Ever since Fallout 1 and 2 I have wanted this exact look in 3D. Fallout 3 and NV failed and while 4 did give us something much better, this is truly the Fallout 1-2 look. Well done!

This mod is the epitomy of bringing the best of the old with the new
THIS is how I wanted power armor to be in all the games made after Fallout 2. Fallout 3/New Vegas looked too small, and Fallout 4 made the armor too large and ridiculous. This mod perfectly plays between that balance and is the perfect 2d to 3d translation of the old fallout power armor, especially the way the guns are held. I recently did a melee playthrough with this mod included and I found myself playing in 3rd person a LOT more often than I usually do.
This is unironically my favorite mod ever, it's so damn good.
This looks really cool, but what I think would make this even better is improving the DT and adding DR to power armor and removing the mechanic where enemies will always deal at minimum 20% of their original damage after DR and DT is subtracted, making it to where small arms fire (or anything that can't pentrate your DT) do literally nothing to you, similar to how it used to be in the classic fallout titles. Idk if this mod does anything like that but it's just a suggestion. I got into fallout 1 recently and I absolutely love how the armor class and DT in that game makes attacks do nothing to me most of the time unless they have a strong weapon or bypass my armor with a crit.
Mod will help PA no longer look like the advanced version of Diving suit

I'd love a perk that would unlock the one-handed animations for guns. You'd need something like 9 str 7 ag to unlock it, along with maybe 70 in guns. That'd be a good mod, I think.
If you want Power Armor stats as well, _Powered Power Armor_ is an excellent choice, as is _Critical Damage Overhaul._

Love that this makes power armor look and move like a one man tank instead of bulky body armor, one thing i can give FO4 was that detail because it really made you feel the force behind it

They should’ve done this since F3 & FNV, imagine if they made it so that Power Armors where so scarce, that you could only take it off a BOS Soldier or through beating a boss, but through both of those instances, you would have to go through one of hell of a fight, it would make wearing it so much more worth it
It's scarce enough in New Vegas with Power Armor training: you can't even use it unless you assist the Brotherhood or Enclave Remnants.

i know its pretty unlikely to happen, but can you add frame system for the PA? doesnt have to be the exact system as f4 but would be really cool tho, an expert scripter like you might be able to do it
there's already a resource for the frame in nexus, just need to actually mod the mechanics in, which is the hardest part
Use _Powered Power Armor_ instead. You won't regret it.

I never liked Fallout 4 exoskeletons honestly. Yes They made you bigger comparing to the Old ones, but they look so goofy with those robot hands and legs especially.
