it makes sense the roads are far more faded in the newer fallout games because its been around 150 years since the first fallout, and about 50 since the second

It was later reiterated in the Honest Hearts DLC via both Vault 22 dwellers being present in the Survivalists Logs & Spore Carriers being present in Zion.
Some of them, sure, but a few bodies, and more signs of the mercs, actually makes good sense too. Plus finding signs of a fight before you encounter the hostiles mskes sense too.
How do you merge plugins and where we can see screenshots, video or modlist of your game? I got only 865 installed mods because of 255 limit of plugins, this why i skiped over a 100+ mods.

Only problem with this modlist is adding gasoline as a fuel source for the Highwayman. Gasoline and other fossil fuel being basically depleted was the main reason for the bombs dropping in Fallout. Fallout 2's Highwayman used fuel cells to electrically charge the engine.
So, I may be wrong, but I don’t think the enableBigGuns tweak makes any guns actually use the big guns skill. Thus, without a mod to do so, the Big Guns skill would be a waste.
Allowing you to have more companions based on Charisma, holy shit Charisma isn't a dead stat anymore. I hate having Companions in general but having a Companion centric build with high Charisma and dumping all your points into Speech, Repair, Med, Science, and Barter would be kinda interesting.
It used to be actually viable back then. I had a Charisma-centric build on FO2 that relied upon stealth, diplomacy and using companions as bodyguards. It was tough at first, but became quite enjoyable the more companions I got.

Viva new vegas is the best for the prequisites, but then you can mod stuff to your hearts content after that. (Provided you pay attention to compatability)
8:57 "Radiant" is what Bethesda calls their system that reacts to the player's actions; it didn't exist in the Interplay games. Radiant quests are little more than the combination of a randomly chosen dungeon with a randomly chosen loot item and randomly chosen enemies. OTOH, becoming a guard for the Crimson Caravan and a prize fighter in New Reno were the goals of quests intentionally designed by humans, making them decidedly un-radiant.
Radiant is just a fancy word for: "Yeah we wanted to add a side quest but didn't have any ideas for a detailed backstory. So just go kill some random guy at a random place.
Great job putting all these together. Looks like the only thing that's missing now is for someone to combine them all together into a single pack and installer to make it easier for the average person to do this!
I recommend the MUX Series Interface for a truly classic look. Actually implements the whole classic hud and makes changes to the hidden and in-combst status with a floating head icon

The adobe buildings are super nice, and it makes perfect sense! Why is it that 200 years after the apocalypse, people are finding it somehow EASIER to make buildings out of huge chunks of sharp, jagged, rusty scrap metal, rather than out of adobe which is literally just some mixture of soil/sand/silt and dry straw!? In a place as hot and dry as the Mojave, imagine the kind of awful insulation those metal shacks have, compared to thick adobe walls that actually keep the inside cool! It also looks way more POST-post-apocalypse this way, much more believable!
I gotta say, you always seem to be able to dredge up some real gems in every New Vegas mod video, it inspired me to re-install the game and re-setup a modlist! I might even get back into mod creation, as I have a few fun things on the backburner that'd spice up New Vegas

Making the Highwayman use gas is interesting, but doesn't gel with lore or how the car worked in Fallout 2. All cars in Fallout use replaceable fuel cells and refueling the car required either microfusion cells for a half charge or small energy cells for a lesser charge.
I was thinking that, if the game was packed with so many mods, it would feel clunky and look strange. But honestly it looks so smooth. Gonna try some of these.
Well it’s working w no performance issues or crashes, and compatibility is fine. But the CFWR pack is out of place IMO and the animation mods for it will mess up some other weapons I think.
Its a bit complicated, but you don't even need to have MCO active in the mod list. Just donwload it, have active as a mod, and disable/get rid of any esps or esms.

19:05 my only issue with this mod is the use of Gasoline. In Fallout, ALL gasoline is gone. There's a resource war for oil that results in the entire planet being bled dry of fossil fuel, with the only nations to come out on top being ones that switched to all Nuclear/renewable energy before hand. The Highwayman in FO2 was powered by Electric Micro-fission Fuel Cells.
Yes and no. There was SOME oil left in Alaska and the US did develop a pipeline from Alaska through the west coast. Though I’d imagine it would of been extremely expensive gas.

Just wanted to say that this video was used as a reference for my first ever modded playthrough of new vegas. It's still an amazing list, and I'm glad you're nearing 1 million views. You deserve it. Only mod I don't recommend is NVR3R. That mod relies on FCO for its assets, an extremely broken and outdated mod. I couldn't get it to work right for the life of me as a lot of characters didn't look right, and the eyes suffered issues a lot too. Settle on either NVR2R or CER with BNW.

19:05 my only issue with this mod is the use of Gasoline. In Fallout, ALL gasoline is gone. There's a resource war for oil that results in the entire planet being bled dry of fossil fuel, with the only nations to come out on top being ones that switched to all Nuclear/renewable energy before hand. The Highwayman in FO2 was powered by Electric Micro-fission Fuel Cells.
Yes and no. There was SOME oil left in Alaska and the US did develop a pipeline from Alaska through the west coast. Though I’d imagine it would of been extremely expensive gas.
It's the requirement for mod that balances highwayman unfortunately

Just wanted to say that this video was used as a reference for my first ever modded playthrough of new vegas. It's still an amazing list, and I'm glad you're nearing 1 million views. You deserve it. Only mod I don't recommend is NVR3R. That mod relies on FCO for its assets, an extremely broken and outdated mod. I couldn't get it to work right for the life of me as a lot of characters didn't look right, and the eyes suffered issues a lot too. Settle on either NVR2R or CER with BNW.

Collections already exist. Wouldn't help, several instances where you have to change conf files and selectively install mods here.

I WISH they did that with all the other building in FoNV.
Fo1 and 2 always did have that classic yet Ominous warped Art Deco going on that I seriously miss.
