I'm assuming you're talking about the max charge cells, which requires only 75 science and no perk. the ammo type that requires a perk are the Optimized which requires the Vigilant Recycler perk
vigilant recycler, and it lets you both to more efficient drained energy cell recycling + get more drained cells than you would otherwise (firing an energy weapon would sometimes leave drained cells you can possibly use a workbench to turn into more ammo), and lets you make optimized cells which are extremely good : x1.3 damage, -5 damage threshold, and weighs less than normal, for only doing 1.1x extra weapon durability (vs the overcharge or max charge which do 1.5x and 2.5x weapon durability each)
19:20 In one of Many A True Nerd's runs of New Vegas, he accidentally kited a Giant Radscorpion into Goodsprings, where it proceeded to run around killing everyone (including Easy Pete). The thing wouldn't despawn either, and was constantly hanging around every time Jon went back to the town. He eventually killed the creature, and thought all was well. Only for another Giant Radscorpion to spawn in the town later, and continue massacring the residents. Eventually he just accepted that the town belonged to the Radscorpions, and gave it up for lost.

Never understood the hate for the quest. There's so damn many of the things laying around, you'll find like two or three per location. If you're trying to find them at all you'll be fine.
Came up with a unique character run. Can you beat fallout new Vegas as Buzz light-year? Restrictions are must wear the repconn space suit, use one handed energy Lazer weapons and bare fists bb gun since it's a toy weapon, allowed to have Raul as follower (he was a cowboy before the great war so he can be Woodie), side with ncr. Special stats and perks/skills up to your decision. I guess energy weapons, unarmed and survival tagged skills?
Tried that once: NCR salvaged power armor, that space suit helmet or the recon hood (Both fit, so one till the other), recharger pistol, and as you said, CQC. I'd advise to focus in the melee side of it first, both because it fits Buzz, but also because it felt more effective than the pistol.
Local man goes insane over a shitty Rootbeer brand and goes on a murder spree for some magic stars. *I feel like there's a lucky charms joke I can make.*
18:18 funny enough I like to look at some game mechanics with real life logical and how that can make these situations so funny if you think about it. And honestly as you said its funny to think someone just spreedruns to Caesar but without you looking at him
for any future Energy weapon runs I would highly recommend getting the Vigilant Recycler perk. It allows you to make optimized ammo which has the same conversion ratio as the over charged of 3:2, they have a 1.3x damage multiplier as opposed to over charged's 1.25x, have the same armor penetration, a much better condition multiplier of only 1.1x instead of the 1.5x of over charge, and a better drained ammo drop rate additionally the perk increases the amount of drained energy ammo you get and allows for efficient recycling which has a ratio of 3:1 instead of the standard 4:1, allowing you to recoup even more ammo.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Mr.Torgue? The rules being: Low Int High charisma Not allowed to wear any clothes that cover your chest Can only use bare hands or any explosive weaponry, two step goodbye allowed because you PUNCH EM SO HARD THEY EXPLODE Bonus: if any dialogue option makes your character yell or end with a "!" You must take it
They're dummy powerful but without the DLCs there's not much variety. Also ammo types are so unbelievably cool and energy weapons are lacking in that department
@@Nerbit13098 I was kinda the opposite. Having experienced energy weapons in Fallout 3, where they're... not great... I started my first Fallout: NV run as a standard guns character. Liked the brush gun but didn't feel there was anything too ridiculous. Then picked up a gauss rifle... I don't think I've ever bothered to do a "guns" run ever since.
11:48 It used to be waaay worse than that, pre patch. Pew Pew originally had a 30 round magazine like the regular variant of the energy pistol. It would burn 15 energy cells in a single shot! >.

Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas As The Terminator? I did a Terminator run 2 summers ago inspired by your character videos. Bonus: Get Adamantium Skeleton and all of the implants, no using chems, and only heal in a bed or with a doctor's bag. Otherwise just watch the courier order 66 video by radabit. Infiltrate every faction, get in their good graces, then slaughter everyone. The only NPCs that should survive are ED-E, Rex, Yesman, the securitrons, Vendotron, and the Sink AI from OWB.
I just bought a Sunset Sarsaparilla deputy badge yesterday, and then this video comes out today. Coincidence? Probably, but it's funnier to think the imminent release of this implanted the idea in my head. Great video as always!

Got I miss that I love this game really wish I could play it again for the first time. No other game has made me feel like this. I know part of it is from the situation I was in when I played this game first but thats only part of it. Really hope obsidian gets to make other fallout or I’m afraid I’ll never get this feeling again.
Can you beat Fallout 4 with only power armor? This would mean nuclear physicist fusion core grenades, pain train tackles and impact landing(that thing when you fall and stun people around you).
Yeah, my OG Shadow copy that I've had since launch is on it's last legs (I play it too much), so it's like a back-up for when the inevitable happens lol
"I've decided to limit most of my healing to just drinking Sunset Sarsaparilla. [...] I'll probably still use doctor's bags to cure limbs." Using the bags is completely reasonable, but for some reason my brain just went to the idea of someone wandering the wasteland, and running across some dude just *chugging* root beer to treat a broken leg. Or pouring it on the leg.

Betraying Nuka Cola? You know how you can continue this train of betrayal? Playing through Fallout 4 as Revolver Ocelot Nothing but pistols, and betraying every faction Side with everyone until you destroy the institute (there is a guide for having all the main three factions getting along to destroy the institute, and part of the railroad is going undercover and betraying the institute so, yeah), HOWEVER, dont rush destroying the institute, because you can side with everyone in Far Harbour, then destroy all their factions by first nuking and shutting off the first lot, then, telling the institute about arcadia but yeah, then you can betray all the factions with the Minute men helping then betray the minute men with the Nuka World raiders taking over sanctuary and the fort THEN betraying the Nuka Raiders in the end.
I never heard of the PewPew until your videos honestly... but i'm gonna have to watch this and try it out after work.... stupid work taking away all my gaming time :) Have a good day everyone
2:31 you misunderstood the stat. Pew-pew has a 2.5x critical _chance_ multiplier. That means it crits much more often for a given Luck stat. The actual crit damage is fairly modest, an extra 50 on top of its 75 base dmg (exact same as the Alien blaster, in fact).
Really enjoining the Fallout runs especially the character runs. I thought a fun idea for a run would be doing a Fallout 4 run as Dr Gregory House. Then I thought to myself, hey, I have Fallout 4, so I started playing it again. It’s been super fun so far maxed out intelligence and perception, I could never cure addiction once I get it, one-handed weapons only since the other one would ostensibly have a cane in it, always choose the sarcastic reply when it’s an option, strength endurance and agility permanently set at 1. Once I beat it this way maybe I’ll have to try making up some more character runs. Thanks for the inspiration, definitely takes the gaming in a fun direction.
good to see your still kicking brother. I struggle with having a brain that will not leave anything I do alone and constantly struggle with taking control of my mental health. I've been in thearpy for almost 9 years and the only thing I've been able to learn is that it has taken 9 years for just 1 person to actually be able to understand what my mind can do and how much control it has over me, so if anyone knows how bad things can get and when it looks like there's no hope for a change... well, I've been there at least twice a week just bc of the amount of times my head will torture me with all the mistakes I've done or things I've said or bad memories/nightmares all at once for about an hour and half. Didn't comment anything in the last video, but I got really worried when you weren't posting bc of what happened to several youtubers, but for the sake of content like this, Mitten Squad. Feared the worst, but hoped for the best. Something to remember and keep thinking that got me farther than anything else is "plan for the worst, hope for the best." by at least keeping in mind that something bad can happen, even if it's as unlikely as possible, at first it might not seem great, but over time I got to the point where if something happened I'd be able to move on easier since I was at least planning for it. Hope it helps, if not, know that everyone who watches is watching to support and enjoys each video, I remember getting into your channel from the Master Chief Fallout 4 run, almost 3 years ago now I think? Any videos posted that show up in my feed, and I'll drop anything I'm doing and watching it, always have
This video got me back into F:NV, and I've even started my own challenge run. "Can you beat Fallout New Vegas using only That Gun." Using a ton of tricks I learned from watching your videos!
Nerbit, vid idea: can you beat Fallout 4 as John Fallout? (Unarmored skeleton movement demon who's only weapon is mini nukes he throws as footballs. You will need mods for this, but the skeleton and mini nuke footballs are pretty popular mods)
This is NOT NV as Raiden Edit: basically Katana Only, but any weapon he can use in Revengance or any other appearance is viable (Bumper sword for the Mantis Blades, Combat Knife for the sai etc.) Side with Mr House, but you HAVE to kill Kimball (he’s canonically stabbed two politicians to death so it fits)
Fallout 3 might actually be a better fit. There's no katana, but there is a secret VR training sim developed by the US government that gives you a skin tight rubber ninja suit and a magic sci fi sword when you beat it. And the Enclave aren't quite the Patriots, but they're close enough.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas while completely miserable? What is being completely miserable you ask? Well it’s hell on earth you need to beat Fallout New Vegas while fully crippled, addicted to every single chem, while being as Irradiated as possible, on Hardcore mode and you have to side with the Legion. I have no idea if this challenge is even possible it sounds like it’s not really possible. I was also gonna add without using the Pip-Boy but that would make the the challenge on a time crunch since you can’t use the inventory to eat and drink. I also thought about limiting your skill points to the two worthless stats in the game of Perception and Charisma. But I’ll let you at least have the freedom of your own build.
@@rudolfantlerofficial in game they’re technically the most useless special stats perception really only boosts a few skills, also skill points are not few in NV, and boosts your compass tick range, which imo is very useless. Charisma is charisma and this is NV there is only 2 perks I believe accessible by charisma. And the skills that are boosted by Charisma can just be boosted to 100 and you can pass every skill check no matter your Charisma level.
Say it with me, Guys, Gals, and pals: Nerbit Drop time! EDIT: Would've loved to see you add a mod like JIP Companions so you could bring Malcolm Holmes along as a companion for the story. Why? So he can see it to the end! Also, we've got a kinship with him now
Playthrough Suggestion: Alastor (from Hazbin Hotel) run, rules are: 1. Can only wear suits, no armor at all 2. Cannibal perk, optionally can only heal from eating corpses 3. Must activate all accessible radios in the game and leave them on. Optional melee-only rules, maybe the White-Glove canes if it's a FNV run. I tried this myself in Fallout 4, mostly as an excuse to play through it again, and it's been very fun. I thought he worked well as a semi-raider playthrough and I plan to go through Nuka World with him. Also, great video. I love seeing another FNV video and it's nice to see the Khans being taken over, even if their assistance at the dam is always underwhelming.
If you're looking for inspiration for future videos. Might I suggest a Huntress Wizard attempt in Skyrim? You effectively try to play as a druid. Wood Elf as the race, bound Bow as the main weapon, thematic animal summons as backup, stealthy movement and a werewolf transformation as an 'Oh-Sh-t' button. I also had her mostly wear Forsworn gear, but any armour that doesn't show a lot of metal would do. Feel free to customize it as you please, but honestly it was one of my most fun playthroughs of the game for a while. The inspiration was a character named Huntress Wizard from the cartoon series Adventure Time. Mostly because I found out there was an unused bound arrow spell in the game and a mod to unlock it. So what started as a simple mess around with a bit of a theme became something far more fun. I also modded shops to give reasonable prices for animal materials. So there was reward and incentive to live the life of a hunter. Kind of wish the base game had more reason to do it honestly.
Iv done this run twice, first time pewpew fell through the floor on spawn so I couldn’t do the run. Second run was on pc so as soon as I started I made a bee line to the factory so I could check to see if it was there or not. Very fun weapon, so satisfying to use and even more to watch Nerbit use!
After you mentioned dropping all the DLC gear, I got an idea for a fun New Vegas run: Can you beat New Vegas with only starting items? What I mean is you have to go the whole game and can only use what you get at the starting area, so items you start with (Courier’s Stash items included) or can get in Goodsprings before you get the pop-up that you’re leaving into the Wasteland. That includes caps and ammo - you can only use the caps you have when leaving Goodsprings, that’s it! It could be fun, as it pretty much makes the game into a survival game/attrition run, and means you need to consider what to use when and where. I realized allowing for items in Goodsprings wasn’t just necessary but also adds some fun, as you’d need to strategize on what to go for (and not waste supplies doing it). Plus it would be fun to see what build you’d do to be able to make the most of the items. And it would likely end up showing a lot of what you can do with the Survival skill. Some rules: Items can be sold, but weapons can only be sold once out of ammo and armor has to have been worn. If it would be too much of a slog to only allow for caps found in Goodsprings, then I suggest instead that the rule is “you can only spend caps in Goodsprings”. That means you can’t just gamble it all and then travel back and forth between Major Knight/Gun Runners for repairs and ammo.
The small conversation with Future Nerbit got a good chuckle outta me. This channel always puts out fun content that teaches me things I never thought I'd know about these games because Bethesda gameplay isn't my cup of tea but watching these wacky playthroughs will always be entertaining.
Awesome video! Always happy to see an upload from a legend such as yourself. Almost as happy as I was when I first found out where you live. I’ll be seeing you soon 😁
Loved the video. Challenge run idea: can you beat fallout 3 whilst being chased by wernher (Guy from the start of the Pitt dlc). Once you go to the start location for the Pitt dlc he is ambushed by raiders. Once the fight is over he will run towards the player to talk to them. I have tested some areas and he seems to be able to go about anywhere (i have tested the following areas: megaton, rivet city, jefferson memorial, central dlc, raven rock exterior, little lamplight).
If you're looking for some novel run ideas, I was thinking of two big ones: 1) What's the absolute maximum amount of quests you can do/start? Between juggling the NCR, Legion, and House quest lines, all the various side quests that may or may not be locked out due to other quest endings and stuff, what is the absolute maximum amount of New Vegas you can complete? 2) What vile things can you do to the Legion and NCR before the New Vegas Strip faction resets? I've heard you can even nuke both of them at the end of Lonesome Road and the faction reset will absolve you, but how badly could you mess things up for both of them before getting the reset?
17:57 would have been amazing if right outside the tent when you leave there's a hunched over legionary heavily weazing and breathing for air as the player character walks by. Most players would be confused af as to whats wrong with him but players like you would have been able to figure it out lol. Poor guy probably doesn't get enough recognition for his efforts, maybe the courier could give him a few tips

Yeah, i think rex as companion count as well, cuz slinky (?)
The fact this run was easy, fun, and had zero deaths or crashes just proves which Fallout soda is superior
Does this mean Nerbit needs to complete Fallout 4 with only the Vim power armor to complete the soft drink equipment?

for any future Energy weapon runs I would highly recommend getting the Vigilant Recycler perk.
It allows you to make optimized ammo which has the same conversion ratio as the over charged of 3:2, they have a 1.3x damage multiplier as opposed to over charged's 1.25x, have the same armor penetration, a much better condition multiplier of only 1.1x instead of the 1.5x of over charge, and a better drained ammo drop rate
additionally the perk increases the amount of drained energy ammo you get and allows for efficient recycling which has a ratio of 3:1 instead of the standard 4:1, allowing you to recoup even more ammo.

They're dummy powerful but without the DLCs there's not much variety.

1. Can only wear suits, no armor at all
2. Cannibal perk, optionally can only heal from eating corpses
"He doesn't seem as inviting as last time so I detach his head from his shoulders to give him time to pull himself together" 😂
Your brocks brother in law Bolder 😂
Iv done this run twice, first time pewpew fell through the floor on spawn so I couldn’t do the run. Second run was on pc so as soon as I started I made a bee line to the factory so I could check to see if it was there or not. Very fun weapon, so satisfying to use and even more to watch Nerbit use!

@@Nerbit13098 great video by the way as always! It was sheer luck I opened up the app and saw your video was uploaded 19 seconds ago.
Some rules:
Items can be sold, but weapons can only be sold once out of ammo and armor has to have been worn.

If you're looking for some novel run ideas, I was thinking of two big ones:
1) What's the absolute maximum amount of quests you can do/start?
