I added a couple minor tweaks to the class and they are pretty fun to not only play, but also dm. First: Instead of choosing which feature to gain you just get all 3 options. Given you only have 1 action you can only use one at a time in the first place. This speeds it up and gives players more control Second: I added the strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls. Since they're natural weapons it just made sense in my eye, this does prove for some big damage later on. These are just my tweaks, play however you want. These worked for me. Results may vary. Have fun
Those are interesting tweaks! I can see how they would make the sub-class more fun, how has it been for party balance? My only concern would be that they would be way more powerful than their allies.
@@TheRPGDaily You'd think that it would leave the other party members in the dust, but not that much as a regular Barbarian would. At level 5 they'd get extra attack. At most 3 attacks with their claws, 2 with their bite or 2 with their tail in one round. If they took a dip in Fighter and were hasted by their party on the other hand. That's where it starts getting crazy. It is pretty common for parties to buff up their compatriots. If the players are down for that, by all means go for it. This class was really fun to not only dm, but also play. It could also be a pretty cool monster encounter if you wanted to do that. Curse one of your players and have them deal with the chaos that ensues. So much fun
I dont think your second one is a tweak. I would think all melee attacks add your strength to attack and damage rolls. The 1d6, 1d8, and 1d12 are just the dice of the weapons: that doesnt mean you don't use your attack/damage modifiers. You should also be adding the +2-4 bonus rage damage.
I mean the subclass would be pretty awful if you couldn't add your strength mid to melee attacks, like you can for every other type of melee weapon attack in the game.
Imagine a Wee lil Kobold taking this subclass? You raging makes you hulk out, in a miniature manner BUT you gain a much more ferocious set of chompers, a tail befitting a Stegosaurus, (of your size), or your claws lengthen more. BUT in the process you become more comparable to a shorter than avg Lizardfolk or VERY shorter than Average dragonborn. (Couple this with Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer and you just might look more like a Dwarfish Dragonborn with the scales)
A Shifter taking this class can be a great role-play option. You already have shapeshifting and have lycanthropy in your blood anyway so this can be you rejecting your humanity and full embracing a wild beast without having to be evil. You can also just be a bigger version of yourself and be a champion of Shifters.....maybe I should make this character.
For survivability, can't the Barb get healing off their Bite attack starting at level 3? I know it's small, but it helps a little at lower levels. At higher levels it might not be worth it.
I know the bite says it's an action to use but I would be ok with it replacing one of your attacks after u get extra attack
i feel like that would make a lot of sense thematically!

Aside from the tail part you can pretty much play Sabretooth from Marvel with this path
HAHA I Hadn't thought of that! Excellent!

Ooh that could be a really fun way to play it!
Can you make a video on srd and ogl that’s be really helpful
I could talk about those, what kind of information are you wanting to understand about them?
RPG Daily just like what using it actually means and what things to avoid and the free rules pdf whether that’s ok to use stuff like that.
I see what your saying, I can make that happen!

Oh they do, I may not have specificallys stated it in the video, but they regain hp equal to their CON modifier once per turn.
@@TheRPGDaily What do you think of that? It sounds like something that could be abused as they could just heal up attacking enemies within the wild.
@@nielsdejong only one of the two bite attacks restores your hp.
