At level 20, you put hotels on Boardwalk & Park Place.
So basically, you're Darth Vader, but without necessarily having the evil alignment. Sweet
Assuming Darth Vader truly was an evil alignment... I kid, he totally was.
I mean.. A Conquest Pali does lean more evil or at the very least neutral. They are Tyrants. It would be a bit hard to justify these beliefs and be good.
Funny you mention that, Tulok did a "how to build" video for Darth Vader, 3 guesses what he was.
@@5-Volt Not exactly. They can be a tyrant if they lean towards lawful evil. But a lawful neutral conquest paladin, can use his tenents to cause fear in the battle he's in, killing the strongest foe and demanding the others to surrender. They don't enjoy unecessary bloodshed, so avoiding more killing while putting fear in their hearts to avoid conflict is not an evil action
@5 Volt I'm currently playing an Oath of Conquest Paladin, flavored like a nomad akin to a Mongol or Turkic warrior. He's probably on the evil side, but less in a malicious way than a "what do you mean I'm not supposed to raze this entire settlement, how do you think the world works?" kinda way.
So, what's it like knowing that you picked the perfect intro for your video?
Some things just feel right.
There doesn't have to be tension associated with this subclass of Paladin of course. It's all in how the player interprets the subclass, right? I'm currently running a lawful good Loxodon Oath of Conquest Paladin in a relatively new campaign. His oath was struck when fiendish undead attacked his city and gave his father a disease that cannot be healed through normal means or magicks. His oath against these foul creatures was forged that day, seeking to drive them from his city and existence, determined to never let such an event happen again. Personally I'm playing this subclass as following the tennents in battle only. During RP moments, my Paladin seeks to set an example as a devout follower of Torm & Tyr, so that others may be enriched by his presence, not subjugated or forced around.
I am currently playing a Goliath Oath of Conquest being a worshipper of the Dead Three specifically with Bhaal and I have multiclassed into Warlock and Bane is my patron. My first truly edgy character and I love it
So Dr. Doom has been a Paladin all this time.
I’m playing a Dwarf OoC and worships Odin therefore, his Conquest is to rid his living area of giants
Great vid! It's nice being able to listen to you explain these class options in depth.
Hey Thanks man! I'm glad they are useful!
I’ve found that this goes best with the Grave Domain Celtic which just so happens to be in the same book, with the higher attack that this subclass has with its channel divinity along with Grave Cleric’s channel divinity essentially decimates anything
I'm building a half orc from dark arrow keep in faerun; disgraced by the uprising that destroyed the fledgling nation he seeks to unite or destroy orc or goblinkind under the many arrows banner and cement a permanent place in the world for his people
Im playing an OoC hexadin who searches for power and the chance of building an army of powerfull friends to rebuild her long forgotten empire
Space marine from warhammer 40k
Thanks man! where is the video about frighten?
Here you go, in this one i go over all the conditions effects ruclips.net/video/438HUpUDq24/видео.html
Guiding strike: my "I want to use smite on this target" button
I gotta disagree with Conquest being bottom tier. I think it beats out both the Glory and Crown subclasses. Also Watcher's will is one of the best channel divinities especially for Watcher's flavor of going against extra planar beings, who have abilities that target those saves.
Whats your opinion, can you play a OoC Paladin as a Good aligned character?
Oh most definitely! there can be a lot of nuance in dealing with alignment.
Sorry for the question but... wasn´t Command already in the Paladin´s spelllist? (PHB). Why do they give it again with Oath of Conquest?
the paladin spells that you get with the oath are always prepared and don't count towards your max spell count, Normally if they aren't an oath spell but are on the spell list you would have to prepare it and it would count as one your known spells. so its still a little bonus even if it isn't a spell not from the paladin list.
