I like the dual sticks so I can fly with my left hand and use my dominant right hand to work all the "knobology" and touchscreens. The ergonomics are better than with the Y stick for right-handers.
I've got the dual sticks and have never found cockpit ingress/egress a problem if you know how to get in! Back up to door opening, boost up into seat with left foot on tire, swing both feet inside and place them on the floor on the LEFT side of stick, SLIGHTLY raise your right knee and PUSH the stick under your knee and between your legs. Done!
True story - my late wife was not so nimble and when I was going to take her on her first flight in the STOL 750, I had this big speech all prepared to help her get into the cockpit. As she was starting to get in, I was distracted and looked away. When I looked back, she was comfortably seated with the stick between her legs (without benefit of my speech!). I asked her, "Did you have any trouble getting in?" She said, "No, why?" My response, "Never mind!" ;>)
I'm not a pilot, yet, but I can definitely see why your observations on a center stick allowing left handed flying and right handed knob jockeying would be spot on.

Super Video, I loved the the ride-a-long.
I really like the STOL performance and have also flown in one as a passenger (with pilot experience) the only thing i find scary is how sometimes owner's/pilots seem to have the urge to demonstrate this capability over and over again climbing out close to stallspeed believing their engine will never quit ( in a catastrophic way ) at that moment.......

also, I felt that the timing pace and content of this video was good. Not too slow, the explanations given were relevant and interesting for newbies, and lets the viewer have a taste of what its like to participate in a flight demo. good job! I'll be looking for the next ones! would be fun to take this video concept and get customers to participate showcasing their planes!
Beautiful plane. I "flew" the CH750 in X-Plane 11.50b6. Don't know how representative the flight model is, but the aircraft was amazingly smooth and gentle in X-Plane. I like! Note: the version 1.6 of the acf aircraft file linked to from the www.zenithair.com website was saved for X-Plane 10.20 and is not recognized by X-Plane 11 by default, probably because it is an older file format. In order to get it recognized by X-Plane 11, I loaded the acf file in the older PlaneMaker 10.51, re-saved the file without changes, then moved the aircraft to X-Plane 11. I also regenerated the icons in X-Plane 11 so it wouldn't show up as a "plane with a question mark" in the user interface. Worked like a charm! I don't know how much control Zenith Aircraft has over the model, but if you do, you might want to update it for X-Plane 11. After all, it's free advertising!

what a beautiful flying day! not being a pilot myself i hope this plane can be created for the new microsoft flight simulator 2020.. i think they'll still be allowing custom content, would be fun to see the Zenith planes in there so i can 'virtual fly' :)

Hi. I am thinking a some hydraulics pipes to follow the cammands wireing. And a some kind of propeller clutch to power the hidraulics in the case of wire and engine failure. Exactly like a wind turbine. My deep regards, Petru Razvan.

I've noticed that you usually break out of ground-bound BS at about 1200agl. You can see it down there,but you're out of it's reach.

Question: I suppose the aircraft has pretty low glide ratio and certainly has perfect STOL capabilities. Why is your approach angle so flat? I suppose, in case of engine failure you will not make it to the runway? Is it only an optical illusion?

It doesn't appear that you can move your stick to the left much at all due to your leg being in the way.
Is this just the camera angle or am I missing something? I.E., the way a "Y" stick operates?

Why not two shoulder straps? That one strap looks ineffective as it slides right off.
For Demolition Derby,we double up on the 3"belts (too stretchy).
It doesn't look like that shoulder harness would do much good.

19:03 "Always keep you head out of the cockpit"... they must teach flying a little different in MO! So, Roger, how tall are you? I see you sit way back on your butt with little leg support. I have always liked the 750 but am doubtful I'll be comfortable at 6'3" 195lbs.
I would be very surprised if you could not make any of the Zenith high-wing aircraft comfortable for yourself. This design is very conducive to customization with some minor non structural modifications. I modified my seat so the whole seat reclines rearward. My buddy is 6'5" 250 lbs and he says that my 750 is the most comfortable aircraft that he has ever flown in. That includes Cessnas, Pipers, Vans RVs, etc. I was able to set the seat so his thighs are contacting the seat bottom so there is minimal pressure on his butt. There a lots of good aircraft to choose from. The Zenith 750 is one of those and I love mine.
