There's a single soldier who I respect and have a insanely high opinion of. The soldier NEVER killed a single person in WW2 whether friend or foe, risked spending the war in prison before he even got out of boot camp, foregoes a plea deal and goes full on court martial and wins, caused his entire platoon to not commence an attack at the appointed time out of respect for him, saved the lives of between 75 men and 300 men and stood alone on a ridge under heavy naval bombardment from his own team ( us the US NAVY BTW) WHILE SAVING THE LIVES OF HIS NEN AND THE JAPANESE TOO. IF THE KEYWORD RIDGE DIDN'T GIVE IT AWAY MAY I PRESENT TO YOU THE LATE GREAT MOH RECIPIENT AND THE HEROIC PACIFISTIC BADASS SOLDIER WITHOUT A WEAPON HIMSELF THE ONE THE ONLY THE LEGENDARY DESMOND T DOSS THE CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR WHO HOLLYWOOD HAD TO WATER DOWN AND CHANGE CERTAIN DETAILS TO MAKE IT BELIEVABLE WHAT HE DID WAS SO FREAKING EPIC.

@@eragonloc9003Can you please clarify why he was considered a hero? Although I may not always agree with the actions of the United States, it is undeniable that they played a pivotal role in World War II. Their involvement was instrumental in saving countless lives by defeating the German and Japanese forces. It is estimated that the war would have been prolonged by at least two years without their intervention. The potential consequences of the Germans or Soviets acquiring the atomic bomb during this extended period are deeply concerning. In fact, Joseph Stalin acknowledged that the Soviet Union could have advanced further if not for the knowledge that the United States possessed a weapon of mass destruction.

KILLING PEOPLE BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE SAYS SO IS HORRIBLE. IF THE WORLD HAD PEOPLE LIKE DOSS THEN WAR WOULD NOT BE HELL BUT A SIMPLE DISAGREEMENT THAT COULD BE RESOLVED WITHOUT VIOLENCE

Honestly, the best Battlefield moment in story-telling. Despite it being the franchise’s most “controversial” campaign, it was by far the most compelling. In just three missions, DICE made us feel for a German Tank crew unlike any other character in Battlefield. Short, simple, but a powerful story about men being conflicted by their sense of duty, loyalty to the Reich, facing the inevitable, and their sense of humanity as their nation crumbles in defeat.

The Last Tiger is one of the best stories told in video games in my opinion. From the begginning, hope and vigor filling the young soldiers hearts, but Kertz and our commander know too well that the writing is on the wall. Kertz highlights the moral defeatist. He understands the war is over, and doesnt understand how his nation and people are still fighting. He just wants it to end, and to go home. Our commander shares that sentiment, but still believes in his nation and military, and believes if he still performs valiantly the tide can be turned. Its all dashed when his own soldier, who idolizes him as a hero, kills his best friend doing what he thought was right. In that moment the illusion is shattered. The war is over, and it only causes uneccessary death now. And the young soldier turning his gun on him, and you hear one final shot not knowing whether our commander was killed or the young soldier. Brilliant.

its not even about if ur german or not, you just get those 2 mutual lads respect to eachother, mutual trust and friendship, you literally play as the tank commander who lived his life in that tiger with his old tank driver friend , along with others , longer than the gunner or the radio operator, so when he saw his ONLY FRIEND get shot by the recruit, it broke him down, he was only thinking of his old pal , then he knew that he would get shot or be a POW for the allies, he lost his trust of his country after they declared lost, the guys wanted peace, meanwhile that fucktard kid only follow rules like a machine, if you were to choose to serve your country and see your only friend dies infront of you, you would probably skip serving a failed country and run away with your loved ones and your old friends , but simce they were unaware of their outcome , where it would end up, they choose poorly, it makes you feel sad really and upset that even though those people you fighting, whether from the past or the future, are still humans, they have loved ones, their flag maybe diffierent, but their mission is the same "serve and protect the country for your family and friends safety and comfort" , its the leaders who would should hate,l honestly, these people are psychopaths, you should never give controls to an unstable leader, it would end up badly
