And quite a few of them were strategic. Flood Zone changed the vehicle game. Others changed the ways whole control point were set up. Or take down a well fortified area where a lot of people would have otherwise camped, like in Locker. Though some of them were VERY situational.

Probably because they don’t have the same map philosophies they used to. Almost all BF4 maps were designed with levolution in mind. Every game since then pales in comparison because they weren’t focusing on that
I really hope the incredible destruction of BF4 will be realized again some day. So much of the smaller stuff you don't even really notice in the moment, but it adds so much to the atmosphere (for example, the broken tile walls in metro).
Had EA not dropped the ball on this, given us a Bad Company story mode, and been a better company overall... this would be grand. But again, I am still in awe of how much further Planetside 2 is ahead of BF2042.
Yeah destruction was a cool feature that all the leaks for 2042 said they'd get really extreme with things like all buildings being destructible, and completely unrealistic expectations of how the game would pan out. I really think the fans and the developers ruined themselves with 2042. I couldn't blindly support that the way other people did.
I remember when people were speculating that all the massive skyscrapers would be destructible. That was definitely too far fetched to believe but I did think there’d be more than what we got
You missed one for BF1! on Fao Fortress, you can destroy the extended part of the fortress facing the British spawn by firing on it with the dreadnaught, or with copious amounts of explosives
Also on monte grappa and empire's edge you can also damage the fortress' walls and rooftops with enough power and reduce it to a bunch of rubble Heck! Any bunker in the game it's prone to be wide opened with enough explosives 💀
BF Bad company 2 was the last great BF. But BF really died after BF3. BF4 is basically a patched BF3 with DLCs included that you had to pay full price for. This video almost gave me tears from the nostalgia.
The first time i heard of battlefield was when i watched the RKO helicopter clip. I had been playing FPS shooters pretty much all my life by that point. These games should have been more popular than cod was

I'm new to the franchise, and what surprised me was that in Battlefield 2042, I could stick to a wall and feel safe. However, when I started playing Battlefield 3 maps, I realized that I couldn't find cover easily.
Its not the bugs we true battlefield fans hate or its shitty launch. We've been through that before. What sticks in the long run is the core mechanics of the game and necessary teamwork between traditional classes. The semi realism where you can't unload an entire clip and have zero recoil dropoff, but instead having to pace your shots to be accuracy. Nobody on planet earth would have a problem with BF2042 if was named anything other than BATTLEFIELD.
Im still a fan of 2042 but you can never go wrong with watching giant shit get destroyed. I specifically remember bf3, chilling and watching levolutions with the enemy just because it looked cool.
BF3 had the best DLC maps & environmental destruction, Bf4 is good too they just sacrificed a lil too much micro destruction for the big levolution set pieces.
We all believed that in 2023 video games would be so awesome we couldn't even imagine back in 2014 what it would be like and then we got Battlefield 2042.
I think one of the reasons bf3 still looks really realistic, arguably better then some modern games, is the fact it looks more like your looking at cd footage instead of through someone’s eye. The filters help mask the rough edges. It’s the same reason why games like Unrecord look so damn good. There not trying to look like how your eyes see things. There mimicking how *Real* footage looks.

It's so frustrating seeing containers being dropped I bf hard-line but not in manifest in bf2042 they really fucked up
7:33 i thought it would hit him.
Bro i was screaming "ayo watch yo jet watch yo jet watch yo je- "
Had EA not dropped the ball on this, given us a Bad Company story mode, and been a better company overall... this would be grand. But again, I am still in awe of how much further Planetside 2 is ahead of BF2042.
The skyscraper bf4 is an iconic timeline moment in multiplayer gaming
One of my favorite things were the blimps being destroyed in BF1, they could land anywhere and just change an entire area randomly
regarding BF4. Its so sad i wont get to play on 98% of those maps, because no server runs them - even though they look so cool
@@Chazsaurus You'd think given how it was visibly all hands on deck.
Does 2042 still utilize the Frostbite Engine?
Levolution in 2013: Skyscraper collapsing, map flooding.
Levolution in 2021: Sign falls off of skyscraper, side of boat falls off.
The rocket exploding is the only one I really like from 2042, apart from the fuel tanks exploding in breakaway
*shoots water tank, legs starts breaking
somethings not adding up here 🤔
First clip:
Water tower: gets shot in neck by rocket
Also water tower: knees give out 💀
You missed one for BF1! on Fao Fortress, you can destroy the extended part of the fortress facing the British spawn by firing on it with the dreadnaught, or with copious amounts of explosives
Also on monte grappa and empire's edge you can also damage the fortress' walls and rooftops with enough power and reduce it to a bunch of rubble
Heck!
The entire bf 1 could become an empty wastekand like st Quentin scar on operations
The first time i heard of battlefield was when i watched the RKO helicopter clip. I had been playing FPS shooters pretty much all my life by that point. These games should have been more popular than cod was
man killing enemy by debris in seine crossing was super fun. you should include it
The soldier watches as he destroys everything in sight:
👁️ 👄 👁️
Most games have indestructible structures, but this this is the finest one yet. Impressive
Bro what which games 😂
@@newt4949the majority
@@AhmedEx1. Except bf2042
Battlefield 4 did it so well. Sad to see how much BF2042 got it wrong.
Thank you for the hard work! I really needed this video.
Btw, I think Spearhead's factory missile easter egg could also be included in levolution event. like ship explosion in Battlefield 4
They took the spearhead missile out before I could get it on video I really wanted to put it in though
@@gamingwithbauer1959 you can still do it, i did it today in a solo match
Oh
Ok then
@@gamingwithbauer1959you can setup a Portal server and lock it to yourself to find these easter eggs and levolutions. If you need a code, CadWoman has plenty of them on her videos
0:31 i can't escape the pipes 🤯
Always loved the levolution on sunai desert for Bf1 as it stopped all the snipers going up there and camping, my favourite for nostalgia reasons.
23:24 Ya know the Ammo Bunkers on this map also blow up really good...
I'm new to the franchise, and what surprised me was that in Battlefield 2042, I could stick to a wall and feel safe. However, when I started playing Battlefield 3 maps, I realized that I couldn't find cover easily.
If they put 1/3 of the effort they put into battlefield 4, 2042 would have been so much better.
back when games cared about physics and dynamics
Now who’s gonna join me in raiding there headquarters so they add levolution into the next BF game?
Its not the bugs we true battlefield fans hate or its shitty launch. We've been through that before. What sticks in the long run is the core mechanics of the game and necessary teamwork between traditional classes. The semi realism where you can't unload an entire clip and have zero recoil dropoff, but instead having to pace your shots to be accuracy.
Nobody on planet earth would have a problem with BF2042 if was named anything other than BATTLEFIELD.
Bro the second one 💀 metal pipe be bussin
Funny how the part of the structure to break apart is never the one that you shoot at.
22:03 fun fact: you can also destroy the bridge by driving the char tank on top on it
Didn’t know! Do you have a video of it?
no, I’ve driven over it and it didn’t do anything
Im still a fan of 2042 but you can never go wrong with watching giant shit get destroyed. I specifically remember bf3, chilling and watching levolutions with the enemy just because it looked cool.
2:56 one of my favorite parts
That's like straight out of golden eye
BF3 had the best DLC maps & environmental destruction, Bf4 is good too they just sacrificed a lil too much micro destruction for the big levolution set pieces.
21:25 you missed the final explosion on the dreadnought
We all believed that in 2023 video games would be so awesome we couldn't even imagine back in 2014 what it would be like and then we got Battlefield 2042.
Paracel of Storm Levolution was another level…🔥
I think one of the reasons bf3 still looks really realistic, arguably better then some modern games, is the fact it looks more like your looking at cd footage instead of through someone’s eye. The filters help mask the rough edges. It’s the same reason why games like Unrecord look so damn good. There not trying to look like how your eyes see things. There mimicking how *Real* footage looks.
once me and a friend were sitting in a building in bf4
i was sniping while he guarded the door with a shotgun
we were hit by several rockets and the building essentially split in half
the chaos that ensued as we defended with our lives felt like a movie it happened several years ago and we both agree it was one of the coolest things weve seen in a game to this day
that bf1 blimp explosion... man i loved that game so much. so cinematic.
0:15 these towers are also in both US and RU spawns and can be destroyed there too. Pretty useless lol
