Dr. Rolandos Pavlou is a general practitioner based in Athens, Greece, who employs nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and lifestyle changes to address the root causes of modern disease. He is passionate about educating patients and involving them in the management of their own health. He has seen the Low Carb/Ketogenic Diet dramatically improve and even reverse obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular, and autoimmune diseases, and he feels honored to have played a role in his patients’ life changes.
As a member of the Nutrition Network, he feels he is part of an unfolding major change in healthcare that will hopefully question conventional “wisdom” guidelines and practices that have led to the epidemic of modern chronic diseases and help restore an open, evidence-based dialogue within the scientific community. He has been involved in consultation around pregnancy, natural childbirth, and breastfeeding and the movement for human rights in childbirth. He lived on a herbal farm in the forest of Evia Island for 15 years, seeing his patients on weekly visits to Athens, until the 2021 wildfire destroyed his home and forced him to move to the city. He loves Tai Chi, swimming, playing the guitar, and mushroom hunting. He has authored a book on the myths surrounding cholesterol (in Greek) and has given lectures on functional and herbal medicine and the ketogenic diet.
