@@fluidfix Made a reddit post where I credited you for your work while sharing my experience with the patcher and which hardware I used. Anyways thank you so much for your help. I can now run virtual machines on my t470.
Cool stuff i remember playing with VM in 2009 had a server run on it and i was able to check safely downloaded files from internet for viruses and test programs and stuff. I bet it is much more now then it was then. Happy to hear about the post but the credit should go to those creating the patch and thinking of it originally. Those are unspoken heroes.

Good work 👏👏👏
I'm just a fool good work did all those contributing to scripts and cracking it in the first place that is real skill what I do is being a sheep following... Stay safe.
Work like a charm.
I have a CH341A, i desolder the chip.
The dump won't work with CH341A software so i need to use NeoProgrammer.
I've dump two times the BIOS.
Don't forget to erase the chip before every flash.
Flash with patch and solder the chip.
ESC => any key, enter
Space
Space
Shutdown and desolder the chip.
Erase and flash with backup.
Solder the chip and boot and Voila :)
No more password.
BOOM! Just like that you get Well Done my friend and stay safe.
Well, i managed to do it on the thinkpad t570, using the CH341A with the claw tool, no solder desolder needed. laptop bought for 80 bucks on ebay, unfortunately it also has a problem in the sdd connector, maybe i'll buy a m.2 2230 and use the LTE board slot.
Kindly give me auto patcher download link please

>Encendemos el equipo y presionamos "F2" para intentar ingresar al bios (o la tecla correspondiente para ingresar al bios, si no sabes cual es la tecla de setup/configuracion, presionar F1){Sugerencia trabajar con teclado del equipo}
>Escribimos una contraseña Generica EJ: 1234.
>Nos Aparecera un mensaje :"All service security DXE driver. Press any key"
>presionamos Enter
>volvemos a escribir la contraseña generica
>Presionamos Tecla "Espacio"
>Nuevamente presionamos tecla espacio.
Si nos sale un cartel que dice "TPM certificate changed . Turn it off" quiere decir que salio todo bien.

Thank you for shearing that it worked on lenovo t560. Stay safe and happy.
Good video sir
Thanks, thank you for your comment.
Hi!
Great video, would you know if this method work with a Lenovo X1 CArbon 7th Gen? Thanks
Hi. Thank you for commenting my friend.
I regret to tell you that this wont work on it. You would have to speak through JTAG connector and have better programmer that can actually do that - I don't have one. If you do then look up jtag and lenovo on badcaps and follow what they say.
Hope that helps you out as after 8th gen the password is not stored in bios chip itself so that is where issue is.
Hey Martin! Awesome video! Loved it! I bought a Thinkpad t490s from someone from Offerup. I can use the computer but the bios is locked!! I have the ch341a programmer. do you know if this process will work for the t490s?? Thank you!
Hey. I’ll have a look tomorrow and let you know as if it supports this chip then it will. Just make sure to actually unsolder it. I’ll reply here tomorrow when I’ll check compatibility. Stay safe.
Hi again my friend. This is 490s I did not realise as it was late and I was in my bed replying lol. 490s wont allow you to do it - to modify this sector you need to have better equipment than ch341a and use JTAG to talk to Lenovo chip. This method will not work the way it is shown here. Hope that helps you. Stay safe.
My T470 has Winbond W25Q128 instead of MXIC MX25L12873. They seem to be drop-in replacements for each other. Are they? (I hope so.) When I do the job, I would use Kapton tape around the chip to protect other components from (possible) heat damage -- to be on the safe side. Thank you for a great hack.
Yes that might be it. I agree I would rather stay safe than not I guess it all depends from how your mindset is at the time you do it - mine was like I will be ok. Thank you for writing and helping. Stay safe and happy.
Good video master,
Is necessary to solder 2 times the memory? And this method works for lenovo thinkpad e14 2 gen
Hi. Thank you but I'm no master no more than you.
all steps are needed and one can't skip any steps.
This will not work on 11th gen intel laptop sorry.
Stay safe.
I have a Question in regards to a X1 carbon gen 2 (20A7) woud this work ? if not is there a way to unlock a supervisor password? and info would be helpful . thanks a love this video step by step
Hi. Thank you. As it is gen4 processor it should work but I'm not sure because i never tried on it so this is your call - back up original bios so you can revert to original state. stay safe and happy.
could the xgecu be used for 2018-2020 Macbook Pro T2 chips? we are hoping to get one device that will work for flashing bios chips on basically any computer we get.
Here you will find web page that show support for chips on this model there are better models they sell with more support

if you using windows press ctr +f to open search box
hope this helps you

Why do you desolder the eeprom chip instead of using these alligator clamps to reprogram it in place?
Had good success with a W460 that died during a BIOS update, flashing an intact regular BIOS on it that way.
Hi. I believe i explain it in the video. Clips are prawn to error causing and are not advised when other components are near. I personally always de solder and I'm 100% sure there is stable connection. Stay safe.
Hi! This method is work with a Lenovo X1 Carbon i7-10510H 10th Gen? Thanks
Hi it's in the title. Happy New year
Did you erase the chip 2nd time before programming original . Bin file back, or just overwrote it... Thanks in advance
Hi. Best practice is to erase - verify then program - verify, even if your programmer software do that i found that to be the best - old but best way ensuring all is good. Stay safe.
winbond is the ship to modify

Hop that helps you out as after 8th gen the password is not stored in bios chip itself so that is where issue is.

Hi! I'm from Brazil too !!
This process work in Lenovo Thinkpad E490 ?
Thanks and congratulation.
E490 is 8 gen so it might work actually. Worth giving a try so please do try and let me know if it did. Remember to follow the steps and save original dump file that you read so if it will not work then you can revert to original bios and have it exactly as it was. Brazil must be a great place for life with nature and people it is a shame it is so dangerous for you there. Stay safe and happy. Merry Christmas.
@@fluidfix Thank you for the congratulations.
Just one more question.
If I physically replace the BIOS chip with a new one, can it work???
Thank you again.
Your issue is password and that is it.
This bios have important data saved on it and if you replace chip with new one new one will be empty unprogrammed. You would have to have it programmed before replacement and even then that important data I was talking about would disappear and your bios would not know what motherboard, CPU, graphics bridge etc. it is working with and you would have to use specialised software to add all of them in to the bios.
I would not advise that as in some cases it might make your computer useless and you would just spend money for nothing and had to revert to old chip with old bios on it.
Hope that helps you.
Stay safe.
One question... Is a must remove the chip? Can i read it with a clamp?
you can read it with a clamp but I did run into a problems many times when doing so as sometimes it might not read correctly and then you screwed, I would always advise to unsolder it 100% of the time.
Estou com o mesmo problema no meu Lenovo Thinkpad L440.

This would drive me crazy. Stay safe and happy.
is it possible to do by replacing the chip ?? £80 for the programmer which ill probably never use again,,, given the value of the laptop......
If only it was that easy we all would just reprogram the chip with new bios and that would do it - but in this case that is not possible and it will not help. Has to be done this way. May be some of your friends have a programmer like that so they can help you out. Stay safe and happy.

good job Is there no other way I have? Thinkpad t14 gen1 I bought it and came with a password I am a student from Morocco

Hi. I'm not the creator and i do not distribute this software you need to go to badcaps and talk to them about it.
hello,nice work!you write a dafault password or only I I ?
None. I don't like password on bios as such scenario is eminent. That is why Bios password is being removed and left blank - if you have a need to have it on you can then go back and set it up to whatever you want it to be. Stay safe my friend and thank you for reaching out.

Hi. Thank you for reaching out. I get everything you said up to "please save it on the forum." What file you are talking about and what do you mean by save it on the forum?
@@fluidfix At the 14 minute mark you drop the file and have created a new file. After 15 minutes, you erase the file. Do you then erase the original, unmodified file, or the patched file? I wanted you to write in your answer which one you delete, because I didn't understand it exactly. I understood it that you erase the patched file, the one at the top, and then you write it back. Did I understand it correctly? But the question arises: why delete the same file and then save it again? Thanks
Hey there. Thank you for clearing to me what was troubling you. At that time I press erase in the software to erase the file that is written in to the chip , you have to do that (Best practice) to avoid potential errors when writing patched file to this same chip. Look carefully as the patched file and original dump are still on my computer. DO NOT DELEATE THOSE. So what I delegated was what was already written my friend. Hope that helps you. If not just write here again and ill try my best to help.
Stay safe and happy.
@@fluidfix Thank you, I understood, but I have one more question. After 20 minutes, you soldered the patched chip to the laptop. Then you desoldered it and wrote the original chip on it. Then you soldered it to the laptop again. My question is, did you erase the patched chip and then upload the original chip to it?.Because your video shows that you didn't erase the patched chip, you just uploaded the original, unmodified chip onto it. Did I understand correctly? Thanks
Hey. Always erase then check if it is erased by reading it and comparing data then write new data and compare to the one on your hard drive just to make sure that it is exactly the same - if not repeat the cycle until you get it correct. That is what we should always do no matter what we do that is safest way and doing it that way we are sure that if something goes wrong it was not due to what we were doing. Stay safe and keep fighting to fix stuff it is worth it - the feeling I get make my day every time.
