I remember the week when the canoe system came out - this was years before the GE in RS2 - probably like 2006. The reason it was exciting is because at any given time 80% of the player base on a members world was hanging out in the "early map". To be able to canoe back and forth without walking up and down to see your friends or "hiring a taxi" (paying to follow a player) was a huge deal!
Do you remember the glitch where people would get stuck at the Edgeville canoe? I think this was only in the game for a little while the first day the canoes were released. If you tried to click the canoe spot from across the river, instead of pathing over the bridge you would just run up to the river and get stuck. You couldn't move or do anything. I got stuck there and I couldn't even log out, I had to just unplug my router so I would get disconnected. It was funny there were a lot of people stuck there warning everyone not to do it saying they would get stuck, but we still all tried it anyway. Thank you friend.

I occasionally have used the Shantay Pass/Port Sarim teleport over the years on my F2P iron. Sometimes a "Talk to Shantay" beginner clue step is followed by "Talk to Brian in Port Sarim". I get exited when it becomes useful lol. Also, the canoes are great for F2P even if mostly obsolete. The final stop is the wilderness moss giants, which have a higher drop rate for mossy keys and are great F2P xp
#9 the Canoe system is so awesome. I think it's great and I use it from time to time. The most common one is doing Ferox Enclave to wildy near chins for clue scroll steps. I think it could be expanded though, there's quite a few rivers in the game: Baxtorian falls --> Castle Wars, Karamja through Shilo Village, Kharidian Desert river as well as a couple short ones. It would be easy to implement and could be further benefits for reaching higher woodcutting levels. Regarding the Watchtower teleport. It takes 10-15 seconds out of your day and the sand accumulates for those crafting grinds you'll want to do eventually. I use it everyday along with claiming battlestaves in Varrock so I'd say it's quite nice!
Salve graveyard teleport is actually arguably the MOST useful teleport out of the Arceuus spellbook before you have a fairy ring in your house, which takes very high Con to build. Which is why I currently have a portal for that in my house. Practically every other teleport besides Draynor, Respawn (depending on where your respawn point is) and Barrows take you someplace either worthless or a considerable distance away from something useful that other teleports take you closer to.
The funny thing about your spellbook teleport list is that I still use or did use all of them. Watchtower for quick tp to Yanille, Sennisten for the exam centre clue step, moonclan I used to use for a quick way to get to vorkath, and Salve was good at mid level for quick access to a fairy ring before I got one in my house.
Damn all solid counters to my list haha. I guess basically every teleport does has some kind of niche use for certain people. Got any you think are truly not worth using ever?
The Arceuus spellbook rework back in 2021 replaced a teleport the Lumbridge graveyard with a teleport to the Arceuus Library instead. Lumby graveyard. Now that was a useless teleport. Unfortunately, the Library tele is pretty useful for a number of reasons, so I've got nothing for useless teleport spells for you now.
i use the watchtower tele for my farm runs to gather jute for driftnets everyday, the exam center teleport for my clues, moon clan tele is essential for crafting astral runes and the salve graveyard is a great mid game tele to a fairyring / slayer tower / canifis.
Came here to say pretty much the same reasons for those teleports. One useless one I would add is the normal spellbook teleport to ape atoll that needs a banana. I usually use the fairy ring or royal seedpod into the gnome flyer to get there.
A lot of these are actually incredibly convenient when you do clue grinds. Canoes are great for wilderness clues as there's three locations almost immediately next to the drop location by chins, the Dorgesh-Kaan sphere offers the only teleport even remotely close to the Goblin Village (next closest being mind altar, which is expensive), and almost all the seldom used teleports in the Ancient and Arceuus spellbooks have a clue step nearby. I had NO clue about the Dorgesh-Kaan/Keldagrim train though!
I used #1 today to reach the Lumbridge swamp. I teleported with the watchtower teleport, used the south portal of the magic guild, and then talked to the dude. I also regularly used the west portal of the magic guild to teleport to sorcerers tower. I used to afk magic logs there while I studied mathematics. There was once a deposit box outside the Yannille bank (instead of inside), and the watchtower teleport brought you within a few tiles of it.
For the teleports I'd say you use em once or twice for questing and then never again. Moonclan teleport is an exception though, as it is useful if you ever run Astral runes/or need to get to Relekka quickly (without Freminik Elite diary or seal obviously) for things like questing or the undead loot piñata.
Yeah true on the Astrals, I guess it feels like everyone does gotr now and then bloods so Astrals don't get much love but if you go that way it is a good teleport
Loved this list, playing on my UIM I actually got quite a bit of obscure usage out of a lot of the teleports listed; really fun content, gonna go check out the rest of your stuff now.
Count Check by Lumbridge Graveyard gives you a one-time free teleport to the Stronghold of Security. The Disk of Returning takes players to the Dwarven Mine, via a "Blackhole" dimension.
Balloon transport is actually really good if you have a ring of the elements. It’s your fastest TP to the Gnome Stronghold if you don’t have a slayer ring or seed pod.
I had completely forgotten about the goblin village sphere teleport! Good for clue scrolls. Same with the port sarim jail. You actually have to use that for an easy clue step as you can't get in that jail cell any other way.
That teleport to the Lumbridge swamp is actually gonna help me during my easy clues since there’s a few clue steps in that area, although if you have the ring of elements I recommend using that instead, so thank you lol
Huh, I use the balloon system to go to entrana and taverly quickly from Castle Wars, and the canoes I always abuse when I'm lower levelled. I also still use the canoe system sometimes for the wilderness destination.
As a kid i used the train a bunch. If you didn't have high magic or fairy rings and wanted to go from lumbridge to relleka, that was always how i did it
One of the last things I remember doing in runescape before I stopped playing back in 2008 was running a loop from the Dorgesh-Kaan bank to the train to Keldagrim, which is right by the Blast Furnace minigame where I could smelt steel with 1 coal instead of 2, then tele-sphere back to Dorgesh-Kaan to return to the bank faster than going back and forth from the bank in Keldagrim.
@@walkescape9758 I realized it could be a good way to make money buying the iron and coal and selling the steel on the GE, but underestimated how tedious the grind would be
Wow, I'd never heard of number 1. Good research. However, I can think of 3 uses. Falador to a fairy ring is a bit of a trek without using another teleport, and that Dark Wiz takes you next to the shed and straight to a part of Zanaris. It takes you to near Lumbridge Castle. These reasons are niche because home teleports are a thing and something like Ardy cloak does it better. The best reason I can think to use it is a quick way into Lumbridge Swamp Caves for maybe Tears of guthix if you don't have the necklace... that's it, I reckon. Pretty niche, but once in a blue moon. I use the canoe a lot, btw, especially after the Ferox canoe is unlocked.
The best one I heard was a getaway in deadman mode because nobody knows about it haha. I can see the fairy ring, but just getting to that area in Falador is so far from a tele like idk if it's worth it. Glad you liked it though and it was a new method!
I can argue that the Watchtower teleport is actually useful for hops runs, as besides the house portal, there aren't that many practial ways to get there quickly. The baloon transport is also useful for the same reason. Tping to castle wars and using a log to get to Entrana for the hops patch. Pretty niche cases though, so I don't disagree that they're mostly redundant.
I use balloons to get to Taverley since Castle Wars and Gnome Stronghold are easier to get to and teleport from there. Also I knew all of them except Zandar, I may have some use for him!
F2p player here: The canoes work in f2p as well, and I regularly use it by first teleporting to champions guild using the Chronicle item. If I have to visit barbarian village for a clue, or go to Ferox enclave before I enter the wildy, the canoes have got my back! Also I used the shantay teleport a lot to get into port sarin back when clan wars was still in the desert (first minigame teleport to clanwars, then use shantay to get to port sarim).
I'm proud to say I've tried each of these methods and the only ones I've never gotten use from are dorgesh-kelda train, lady of the waves, and the ogre boat. Many of them because I played a 1 def uim so no access to fairy rings. Canoe was a staple for visiting wilderness to put Wintertodt rewards in the looting bag. That was before bagging was allowed in ferox enclave.
Glad you liked the video! Yeah I think once you get into super unique account builds you can find a use for just about anything. So with the level of game knowledge you must have I'm not surprised. But happy you still enjoyed.
Man I love how your video came out three weeks ago but makes me feel like i'm watching one from back in 07 with your aspect ratio and your mic. Lol but great video! i'd just like to say, i used the fuck outta the canoe system back in the day. I remember seeing a lot of other people use it as well. I don't know what drew me to the system. maybe the fact that it didn't cost anything back then. I also loved seeing the animation of my character rowing down the river :)
It's such a cool animation right! And thanks - lol I'm pretty new with the vids still but I've since corrected the aspect ratio in my newer uploads. For the mic... we'll see soon lol
True - probably more viable going from Keldagrim to Dorgesh but it still just takes you to such a secluded part of the city. Personally I never use it but if you found a place where it helps you awesome... I'm glad the engineers aren't too depressed and alone lol
I use the balloons almost daily. U can fill up on a lot of charges and use it to get to a few really useful spots. The duel ring takes u to cw and u can hop on the balloon north of it.
#10 is pretty good for tree runs. Slayer ring/spirit tree to gnome stronghold for the tree + fruit tree patch, then balloon to taverley for that tree patch. Using #4 is required for an easy clue step. You have to search the bucket inside the cell (ew). Senntisten teleport is also the closest (or nearly the closest) teleport to 11 different clue steps in that area. Four in the exam centre, two between the senntisten and digsite scroll teleports , one by the mine to the northwest, and four in/near the mine to the south. I've never heard of #1 before, very obscure. Nice vid.
Glad you liked the video, I'm mad I never thought to use the balloon for tree runs haha I was always using the Taverley house portal whoops. I also didn't know about the clue step but looked it up after a friend told me and yeah #4 is used... guess I'm glad I didn't take it any higher haha
Balloons are also sick for doing law runes without the abyss. You stock the shed with logs then bank at CW, balloon to entrana, 1 click to the Law Altar then ring of dueling out.
Gratz on showing me 1 tele that I've never had a use for lol. I'll say that Sennistein is actually one tele that I use a lot for clue scrolls. It brings you quite close to quite a few. Also using the neckless of passage to the desert bird going towards the polar area, is I think the quickest way to get there. for like 1? Clue step. I also used to use the Tree gnome Stronghold balloon to Taverly as part of my tree run. Also crafting guild > Entrana for some clue steps.
When log travel first came out it was worth it so save on runes for some players, not least to mention it was the best way to get to chins from what I recall.
One that's somewhat obscure is the tradeable Grand seed pod. It lets you TP to the top floor of the Grand Tree instantly, but costs a lot on the GE since it's consumable and only obtained from the gnome cooking minigame.
@@walkescape9758 I used it once bc I didn't know if there were any other ways to the Grand Tree to start the quest. I blew my whole cash stack at the time for it (lol)
I unironically used Salve Teleport while making Barrows Tabs, must have cast that spell hundreds of times. Mine essence, Venerate at altar, Book of the Dead to Arceuus, Make tabs, Salve Tele, Fairy Ring to Arceuus, run back to Essence. Was double useful because Barrows Teleport and Salve Teleport use the exact same runes, so you don't have to bring anything extra and waste space.
Yeah that is a good use for the canoe, but feels like a lot of the poh portal teles can be even better. Yanille tele is nice but I think the watchtower one is a lot worse if you don't have diaries. Hope you liked the other ones at least haha
Canoes are a good way to get between Lumbridge/Varrock/Edgeville if you're too cheap to buy law runes or don't want to bother training magic. I always liked them especially in the pre-GE days.
The moonclan teleport is one of the most useful teleports in the game, its the closest lunar teleport to a bank, the fastest way to get to relakka, and uses the same runes as npc contact spell (minus cosmics) so you can fit all necessary runes for banking while doing slayer or runecrafting in one rune pouch
A few months ago, I would have been genuinely surprised by the ones at the top of the wizards tower... But I watch Yew Jack's SirTransit series, and he used those in his series. The rest I was either aware of, or regularly make use of. Balloons, canoes, and almost all of the spells you mentioned are useful for clues or farm runs, actually. Good video, though. Would love to see more like it featuring obscure content! Thanks
Glad you still enjoyed... maybe I'll be able to find something out there obscure enough to get you next time haha. Impressive that you were familiar with all of them
The meta way for early game accounts to get to fairy ring is salve graveyard portal in the house. It's a huge upgrade over monestary teleport. And lunar teleport is super useful for spellbook change. On my ironman, the only two portals I have are salve graveyard and lunar portal xD
Lunar teleport is very useful. It's one of the best ways to get to Relekka/Vorkath with no extra inventory space assuming a rune pouch already, and it's the best tele for Suqah tasks.
Awesome glad you liked it and thanks! When I uploaded it I was at 49 so major progress in a day lol. Might have to lock it down at 69 for a few days though will be sad to see that one gone
For the standard spellbook, Kourend Castle is the worst teleport spell and it's not even close. Have Xeric's talisman? Congratulations, you're never touching this spell again. Ghorrock is the worst ancient teleport because the obelisk makes it obsolete once you have the wilderness hard diary completed. The lunar ice plateau teleport is much more useful for those deep wilderness clue steps like the ones near or inside the agility course. Senntisten is super useful for clue steps as well and I feel like I've used that one a lot. The lunar's Moonclan teleport isn't that bad. There's no way I'd rank that one lower than the fishing guild, barbarian or khazard teleport. Worst lunar teleport is the fishing guild because the skills necklace exists. The barbarian one is a close second because the games necklace exists. Port Khazard is the third worst because you rarely ever go there for any reason and it's super close to the ardy cape teleport anyways. Worst Arceuus teleport is the mind altar because why tf would you ever need to go to the mind altar? Maybe a runecraft pet hunter could make use of this but that's a very tiny amount of people. Salve graveyard is arguably one of the best ones because it's the closest teleport spell to a fairy ring.
Really appreciate it! Now I just got to think of more haha. If you liked this one I made a video on hard working NPCs recently too, there should be a link to it at the top of the comments
Salv graveyard Tele is pretty popular I use on my 1800 lvl iron in house portal fairy ring. I’m not sure what they’re doing but there is always people using it to RC as well
I use the Senntisten teleport almost daily. It's the default tele on my portal nexus right now but I'm weird and do a LOT of hard clues lol. It's the closest tele to the digsite exam center which is the location of two hard clue steps and also happens to be a good tele for Ali the Leaflet Dropper (easy clues)
I use #9 a bit going to wilderness for clue steps Also I have the salve graveyard tele in my house. It’s basically having a fairy ring in your house but only needing 50 construction instead of 85
Salve graveyard tele is the most useful tele on the book for early game irons, and even mains before poh/lunars cape as it is the closest to a fairy ring. The lunar teleport is quite useful for changing spell book, and brings you closer than the home tele.
I didn't know about the teleports in the wizards guild. I did know the others. Balloons are very useful for tree and hops runs. Canoe is very useful to get to the wildy. Senntisten is actually one of the first teleports I put in my nexus because I do clues frequently and there are quite a few steps around that area which is otherwise hard to get to.
i was using baloon transport (poh - craft guild - baloon - taverly) pretty easy to use since you can use noted logs and store them. And then using baloon to gnome stronghold for fruit tree and tree nearby. Farming
#1 could be useful for getting to cave slimes and cave bugs if trying to point boost with slayer, but the water altar teleport with the new GOTR ring has that covered
Moonclan teleport is useful for Astral runecrafting; you want to go back to the city repeatedly and don’t want to wait for cooldown. Other than that, yeah, most of those are useless. I’d heard of all but #1 but don’t actually use most of them ever.
I actually chucked a Salve Teleport into one of my house portals so I didn't have to get a fairy ring installed. So it's good for construction-haters. Also I use the canoes to get to Spindel and don't want to hear about any other way - I love the canoe.
Love the eagles because not only is eagle's peak out of the way and annoying to traverse to the eagles section, the other eagle nests are not close to much.

Yeah I always did Mind Altar for Goblin Village, but glad some were new to you
I used #1 today to reach the Lumbridge swamp.
This is one learned man
couldn't you just use lumbridge tele and run to swamp isnt that just faster than a 3 way teleport? 😂
@@jasonerhardt1358 We enjoy the game here.
I'm loving the uniqueness of these osrs videos! Keep up the good work, please!
Thanks! You got it
The Watchtower tele is useful for farm runs. If you're grinding for the farm pet, Blood hops have a decent chance of giving it.
Did not know that one
I've been playing this game for over 15 years and some of these were new for me. Great video
Thanks!
Loved this list, playing on my UIM I actually got quite a bit of obscure usage out of a lot of the teleports listed; really fun content, gonna go check out the rest of your stuff now.
Glad you liked it and found it useful! Still ramping up the production but I'm going to have a new one out tomorrow too if you're looking ;)
The train transportation method is honestly kinda cool. I would like to see that expanded
It honestly is... few more stops would be neat
Happy to help haha gl on the clue hunt
Huh, I use the balloon system to go to entrana and taverly quickly from Castle Wars, and the canoes I always abuse when I'm lower levelled. I also still use the canoe system sometimes for the wilderness destination.
Yeah the lower ranked ones some people do use for certain things, was hard to find a full 10 without dipping into that
As a kid i used the train a bunch. If you didn't have high magic or fairy rings and wanted to go from lumbridge to relleka, that was always how i did it
I'd say Moonclan teleport is very useful if you're training Runecraftnig through Astral runes. Great video!
Thanks! Yeah that is a use for it definitely
You were so far ahead of the game we weren't even playing by the same rules
Balloon transport system is great for Taverly dungeon grinds on an ironman. Ring of Dueling to Castle Wars to bank and resupply, then balloon back.
That was before bagging was allowed in ferox enclave.
oh and nice vid :)
Dorgesh-Kaan is really easy to get to take the minecart from the ge then take the train
True - probably more viable going from Keldagrim to Dorgesh but it still just takes you to such a secluded part of the city. Personally I never use it but if you found a place where it helps you awesome... I'm glad the engineers aren't too depressed and alone lol
I never thought about this.
I hadn't thought of that but definitely see the use - good one!
Yeah senntisten house portal is a lifechanger for clues I have it built on 3 accounts
Your channel name is actually the best thing I've read.
Tavelry balloon was my go to for tree runs. I used it all the time 🤷♂️
Love discovering new channels and obscure OSRS content, great vid!
Awesome, glad you enjoyed!
Yeah good one - I think the royal seed pod is just used by almost everyone instead so this one goes unnoticed.
Interesting one, I was fortunate enough to not really need Barrows tabs so didn't know that
I love the canoe system for wilderness hard clue steps
Edit: Yanille tele is also useful for Gu Tanoth hard clues
Yeah that is a good use for the canoe, but feels like a lot of the poh portal teles can be even better. Yanille tele is nice but I think the watchtower one is a lot worse if you don't have diaries. Hope you liked the other ones at least haha
Canoes are a good way to get between Lumbridge/Varrock/Edgeville if you're too cheap to buy law runes or don't want to bother training magic. I always liked them especially in the pre-GE days.
Salve graveyard teleport is another handy way for 1 def pures who havent completed desert treasure or dont have a house to teleport them to canifis
Yeah the niche/unique accounts are the most likely to have uses for these. Apparently it's also a great way to get to the fairy ring
I like how this isn't edited like the bigger youtubers. Basic and old school
Lol honestly that's just because I'm still learning and not a pro at editing things but glad it gave some oldschool charm to the vid
@@walkescape9758 I honestly liked it, it was refreshing. Don't be a thoatrix or sirpugger clone
Impressive that you were familiar with all of them
Man the giant eagle eyes just straight-up look like "oh shit man the torstol is really hitting hard"
Lmao
I use the canoes as my low effort chaos temple run. Wear two pieces of graceful and rune axe, canoe to ferox, get bones and run to temple, die repeat.
This channel is great dude I think you're gonna pop off
Thanks! Means a lot to me, I hope so too
Cool vid man, i was shocked to only see you only had 67 subs, but dont worry, just got you one closer to 69 😉
Awesome glad you liked it and thanks! When I uploaded it I was at 49 so major progress in a day lol. Might have to lock it down at 69 for a few days though will be sad to see that one gone
I always use the canoe on my iron, first I use chronicle or travel to ferox enclave then to edgevill so I can access the fairy ring.
9:15 I have used watchtower teleport so much on my Ironman to get to Yanille for various reasons. Mostly to claim free sand from Bert.
Very very neat idea for a video. Keep it up man! youll grow fast
Really appreciate it! Now I just got to think of more haha. If you liked this one I made a video on hard working NPCs recently too, there should be a link to it at the top of the comments
Senntisten teleport is super useful as you have like 5 clue steps around that area
Yeah I was only thinking of one but there's some more
Salv graveyard Tele is pretty popular I use on my 1800 lvl iron in house portal fairy ring.
I use #9 a bit going to wilderness for clue steps
Also I have the salve graveyard tele in my house. It’s basically having a fairy ring in your house but only needing 50 construction instead of 85
And the lunar tele also in my house. Very convenient to get to Lunar spells and also talk to any npc there and they kick you out to Rellaka.
The best one is the teleport from my lousy real life to where ever I last logged out
Lmao
Salve graveyard tele is the most useful tele on the book for early game irons, and even mains before poh/lunars cape as it is the closest to a fairy ring. The lunar teleport is quite useful for changing spell book, and brings you closer than the home tele.
I didn't know about the teleports in the wizards guild. I did know the others. Balloons are very useful for tree and hops runs. Canoe is very useful to get to the wildy. Senntisten is actually one of the first teleports I put in my nexus because I do clues frequently and there are quite a few steps around that area which is otherwise hard to get to.
I use Balloons, canoe, spheres, and Sennisite for Clue Steps. Also use Salve Graveyard for farming mushrooms.
I never use the Eagle System though.
Yeah that one is hard to find a use for definitely
I use the salve graveyard tele for mort myre fungus and a fast fairy ring, I find it really useful.
#1 is nuts, never knew that was a thing after all these years playing the game
Glad it was a surprise, hope you enjoyed!
I hope this channel grows fast
As do I haha - cheers!
i was using baloon transport (poh - craft guild - baloon - taverly) pretty easy to use since you can use noted logs and store them. And then using baloon to gnome stronghold for fruit tree and tree nearby. Farming
You never mentioned the barrows swamp boat teleport that requires a quest to complete, i used it today to remind myself of the good days
That one is kind of useful early on for Barrows itself though isn't it? Once you have Arceuus though it's never really touched again true
@@walkescape9758 All the noobs that wanna start barrows early usually just go to someone's PoH. Maybe for an ironman the boat could help?
@@walkescape9758 I used the boat for A Night at the Theatre Quest actually
Post-achievement diary watchtower tele is actually really good for the hard clue clue step behind the anvil house as well as the medium clue key step
Yeah honestly I didn't even expect to go to Yanille while I was filming lol I was meaning more the actual Watchtower tele location
It would be pretty neat to see a no/minimal-teleport Ironman series where the person might actually benefit from things like these.
I use sennisten constantly for multiple clue steps. I actually keep a portal in my house on both main and iron for it lmao.
Moonclan teleport is nice to make the portal in the house and not have to be on lunars to home teleport there
I really fuck with the vibe of your channel bro. Love a top 10.
Thanks!
Balloon is good for tree runs to taverly and hop runs to Entrana via castle wars
I actually knew all of those, I liked to adventure as a kid and would try all chat options with NPCs.
I use the canoe to get to wildy quite a bit.
Train also goes to the Grand Exchange - its actually my main method of getting TO Keldagrim.
#1 could be useful for getting to cave slimes and cave bugs if trying to point boost with slayer, but the water altar teleport with the new GOTR ring has that covered
the balloon system used to be used a ton to make law runes
I love the canoe system.
Moonclan teleport is useful for Astral runecrafting; you want to go back to the city repeatedly and don’t want to wait for cooldown.
Other than that, yeah, most of those are useless. I’d heard of all but #1 but don’t actually use most of them ever.
The canoes and shantay pass to port sarim teleports are actually really useful on f2p ironmen (particularly f2p uim) :)
Was about to comment just this, I play F2P ironman and use the canoe system constantly
Maybe they can update the canoe to give a tiny amount of Sailing exp
I used some of these while I was at early stage on my iron, especially eagles and canoes.
Yeah canoes are nice early on
Thanks for that last one I’ll probably use it when hunting stars. There is star location by mine outside tower and 2 in swamp.
Love to see someone applying it haha
The hot air ballon one i use from Castle Wars to Entrana and back for my farm runs. Castle wars has a bank.
Yep farms runs are definitely the use
I actually chucked a Salve Teleport into one of my house portals so I didn't have to get a fairy ring installed. So it's good for construction-haters.
Also I use the canoes to get to Spindel and don't want to hear about any other way - I love the canoe.
I have a sennisten portal in my POH exactly because it's nice for clue scrolls. The digsite amulet tele spot is way further
Love the eagles because not only is eagle's peak out of the way and annoying to traverse to the eagles section, the other eagle nests are not close to much.
Yeeeep not the most handy system they ever released
