I think one of my favourite things about Torna is how they incorporated a lot of some of the characters' existing animations into the game, like how Heavenly Disrupt became Ice Revolution and part of Midnight Sun has him doing something similar to Stunned Swallow. Also gotta mention how Terminal Flash is literally identical to Blazing End in everything but the element. Nice details all around.
Reusing animations isn't lazy, especially if this is just DLC packed with tons of other content. Besides, I think it's cooler to think that its Jin honouring Lora with his fighting style

As a jazz player who's never played any Xenoblade Chronicles game before who was just looking around for good soundtracks, I can confidently say this is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. The band is extremely tight, everyone is playing perfectly. The composition is just excellent all around, not a single flaw in my eyes. Now I'm off to listen to the rest of Xenoblade Chronicles soundtracks, does anyone have any specific pieces or specific Xenoblade Chronicles games that I should check out first? Xenoblade 1 and 2 have more similar vibes and I'm there for it. The composers are about the same from 1 to 2 with the inclusion of Anuna (Irish choir sounds lol) in 2. Xenoblade X's music is done by Hiroyuki Sawano who is a heavyweight in the anime OST sphere (Attack on Titan, Gundam Unicorn, Kill la Kill) so it's very different. However all 3 OSTs are incredible and yeah good luck with your Xenoblade journey

About five hours in so far and I'm already having so much fun with it! :D Edit 2: finished both xenoblade 2 and Torna just 4 days away from xc3. I'm so blown away, I loved both to pieces and it's made me so incredibly excited to play both xenoblade 3 and X at some point in the future. I’d recommend you listen to counterattack from xenoblade 2 (hopefully will be in smash) and engage the enemy from xenoblade 1(DE version is better imo)
I don't know if it was intentional, but the piano bit at 0:29 can be heard in the remastered "outside colonly 9" theme as well as the fog beast theme and either way thats pretty damn cool

This song encapsulates the mood the Torna drivers take on. With the driver and blade working as a duo, working off each other with individual attacks then working together for max power. This takes that. And I personally find that so unique compared to the actual game which has the two working symbiotically. Proving that times really have changed.

Had these characters not made it to Smash, I never would have heard this song. So thank you Sakurai and MONOLITHSOFT. (It surpasses Halland and Aria of the Soul in my opinion)

This song encapsulates the mood the Torna drivers take on. With the driver and blade working as a duo, working off each other with individual attacks then working together for max power. This takes that. And I personally find that so unique compared to the actual game which has the two working symbiotically. Proving that times really have changed.

@@VonFirflirch it’s complex, but I think the combat system is amazing (although it took me a month or so to get used to) and Torna’s battle system is more simple and in a way better
A good battle theme makes you want to enter a fight over and over again. This? Oh, it made me grind when I usually don't.
Both extra story battle themes are incredibly good for no reason

This is a top tier battle theme.
Well, Battle!! (Torna Version), prepare to become my go to workout tune, dishwashing theme, vacuuming jam, bicycling boogie, happiness harbinger, Smash stage song of choice, track I show to all of my friends, and pretty much everything else. Had these characters not made it to Smash, I never would have heard this song. So thank you Sakurai and MONOLITHSOFT.
