With the newfound popularity of the Xeno franchise, they are really doing themselves a disservice by not porting X and the Saga trilogy. Like, sitting on so much money. I'll buy them both in a heartbeat.

I have been SCREAMING to the reddit winds that the reason FR was released early has to be due to a new Xeno release in the holidays of 2023, and my absolute best guess after the events of FR is either a Remake/Remaster of X or even a full-fledged sequel to X (XCX: 2? Now that's a mouthful). I put more trust on the former, especially with some added DLC content like XC:DE that will tie things up to XC:1-2-3 (and of course, KILL that Tyrant of a cliffhanger at the end of X - where is everyone's conscience and who da hell is that man on the beach...)
It's crazy that they haven't done so! I know it sold poorly, but that's probably primarily because it was on the Wii U. My guess is that's why, but I would think they would be smart enough to realize that's a big reason it sold poorly. The series is also far bigger now than it was then!

This theme perfectly encapsulates the sense of desperation that permeates the game. Humanity was almost wiped out and we've been pushed to the brink of extinction. It wouldn't take much to wipe us out forever, but we keep holding on and struggling despite the entire universe seemingly being out to get us. I love this game.

RPG's like this take into account stuff like where you were when the enemy started launching their attack and no matter where you move afterward you will still get hit. In simple terms Xenoblade X logic.
XCX is such an underrated game, the sountrack was so rich and the exploration to this day feels on par with the witcher and Zelda, seriously underrated due the platform issues and the lack of remasterization , while some of us had the game and had the pleasure of finish it and own it to this day. to this day one of the best Robot games out there.
Alright Monolith. We got the trilogy all available on Switch. We got Bionis' Shoulder which was originally cut content. We got Kos-Mos, Shulk *AND* Elma in Xenoblade 2. Give us Xenoblade X DE.
Me taking on Elma in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the first time: "Okay she's a bit tough, but I can handle this" Me after Elma uses Ghost Factory: "WHY DOES ELMA HAVE CLONES?! WHY IS MY PARTY GUAGE SEALED?! WHY ARE MY PARTY MEMBERS DROPPING LIKE FLIES?!" Morale of the story: Always put up a dark elemental orb and keep it like that until Elma uses Ghost Factory.
Keeping up the orb isn't enough. You can only have one seal effect up at a time, which is the most recent one you've put up. So after putting up the dark orb you need to only use blade combos that end in dark until you reach a point where you're absolutely certain she won't use ghost factory in between dropping seal reinforcements and putting it back up. Every aspect of that battle holds you back from rushing a chain attack and it's honestly great.

I love how the vocals and lyrics both tells the story of a fight between a couple. With two people talking and shouting over each other. Quite creative.
Funny thing, this game is what introduced me to Hiroyuki Sawano and I had NO idea who he was. Later on, I'd hear his music in anime like 86, Re:Creators, Kill La Kill and Attack on Titan. It wasn't until after I listened to a lot of his works that I decided to see what else he's done and, to my shock, he did this game too! Now listening to the soundtrack again after all these years, it definitely sounds like his work. There's a lot of similar elements in the music that are used in his other works.
It's weird how I know this solely as the "Elma Unique Monster theme" in XC2 and ONLY that. ...now that I'm a Xenoblade fan I realize how much I want to see X get a Switch port.
It's less story focused than the core xenoblades, but, still really long, and Hiroyuki Sawano is the same music composer for Attack on Titan, so fighting giant tyrants or super bosses or important enemies sounds epic and for the Humanity and the alliance with a sci-fi tune.
Xenoblade X does the sci fi theme better than any game I've played imo. Also, the side stories in this game are quite literally incredible and the world building is insane. There's ACTUAL world building in certain parts, where the world changes after you do something. It's pretty insane. Also, the combat is the best in the series. The other games feel slow in comparison.
Come here after finishing Elma: Redux Challenge Battle from Xenoblade 2 and feel the bgm is rocking hard. After hearing the full version and know who the composer, i'm not surprised why this song so much epic, Sawano never fail to amaze me with their creation.
After played all Xeno games, this music got a special place in my heart, without forgeting a lot of another incrible songs. Thank you for this, Hiroyuki Sawano and Tetsuya Takahashi!

Joseph Huynh Personally I think X made combat far better than the original. Exploring was much more rewarding, completing side quests was much better, and the plot twists were more intriguing and heart touching. And sure the monado is cool, but I never felt like I was truly powerful when using it. Even when it gets upgraded, you barely feel more powerful. Gameplay was pretty bad in the original. Or how about some of those side quests? One of them involves fighting a level 90 Gonzalez. That is absolutely ridiculous for an enemy at the beginning of the game. Again, gameplay just sucked in the original. It ruined what was a great story for me.
Joseph Huynh I like the monado arts too. But that isn't the problem with combat. In X, when an enemy starts an attack you can get out of the way. In the original however you will get hit no matter where you are on the map. And escaping combat was a pain in the butt while in X it isn't as difficult. It also sucked when you would get pinned by a monster into a wall and you couldn't get out in the original game. In X however you can change you position around enemies much more easily.
@@maxrichards3881 The music comes on when Agumon warp digivolves to signify that Charizard is beyond fucked, War Greymon is the unbeatable boss coming to kill Charizard and Red at that point. If Charizard X was the tyrant then they would have started the music after Greymon nova blasts Charizard into the water and Red uses the mega stone to transform Charizard. Charizard and Greymon were almost even in power level but “Uncontrollable” coming on as Agumon turns into War Greymon is telling the viewers that Charizard X’s power is nowhere close to what is coming now and the dynamic kill is starting up.

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was one of the best things I've heard. Then I died... every time I heard it afterwards. Whenever I heard it, it became the prelude to my death so I started becoming paranoid whenever it played. It wasn't until later did I realize it played whenever a damned Tyrant saw me and decided to become my nightmare for that moment.

Me taking on Elma in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the first time: "Okay she's a bit tough, but I can handle this"
Me after Elma uses Ghost Factory: "WHY DOES ELMA HAVE CLONES?! WHY IS MY PARTY GUAGE SEALED?! WHY ARE MY PARTY MEMBERS DROPPING LIKE FLIES?!"
Morale of the story: Always put up a dark elemental orb and keep it like that until Elma uses Ghost Factory.
I set the custom difficulty to max easy mode, and the fight still took me more than 20 minutes wtf even is that fight. And I havet even done Redux yet
Keeping up the orb isn't enough. You can only have one seal effect up at a time, which is the most recent one you've put up. So after putting up the dark orb you need to only use blade combos that end in dark until you reach a point where you're absolutely certain she won't use ghost factory in between dropping seal reinforcements and putting it back up. Every aspect of that battle holds you back from rushing a chain attack and it's honestly great.

I love how the vocals and lyrics both tells the story of a fight between a couple. With two people talking and shouting over each other. Quite creative.

Funny thing, this game is what introduced me to Hiroyuki Sawano and I had NO idea who he was. Later on, I'd hear his music in anime like 86, Re:Creators, Kill La Kill and Attack on Titan.
It wasn't until after I listened to a lot of his works that I decided to see what else he's done and, to my shock, he did this game too! Now listening to the soundtrack again after all these years, it definitely sounds like his work. There's a lot of similar elements in the music that are used in his other works.
I know right? Once you hear one of his songs you instanlty recognize his style anywhere

It's weird how I know this solely as the "Elma Unique Monster theme" in XC2 and ONLY that.
...now that I'm a Xenoblade fan I realize how much I want to see X get a Switch port.
It's less story focused than the core xenoblades, but, still really long, and Hiroyuki Sawano is the same music composer for Attack on Titan, so fighting giant tyrants or super bosses or important enemies sounds epic and for the Humanity and the alliance with a sci-fi tune.

Xenoblade X does the sci fi theme better than any game I've played imo. Also, the side stories in this game are quite literally incredible and the world building is insane. There's ACTUAL world building in certain parts, where the world changes after you do something. It's pretty insane. Also, the combat is the best in the series. The other games feel slow in comparison.
I've still been listening to this OST periodically since the day this game came out, and god damn do I never get tired of it

Joseph Huynh Personally I think X made combat far better than the original. Exploring was much more rewarding, completing side quests was much better, and the plot twists were more intriguing and heart touching.
And sure the monado is cool, but I never felt like I was truly powerful when using it. Even when it gets upgraded, you barely feel more powerful. Gameplay was pretty bad in the original. Or how about some of those side quests? One of them involves fighting a level 90 Gonzalez. That is absolutely ridiculous for an enemy at the beginning of the game.
Again, gameplay just sucked in the original. It ruined what was a great story for me.

Joseph Huynh I like the monado arts too. But that isn't the problem with combat. In X, when an enemy starts an attack you can get out of the way. In the original however you will get hit no matter where you are on the map. And escaping combat was a pain in the butt while in X it isn't as difficult. It also sucked when you would get pinned by a monster into a wall and you couldn't get out in the original game. In X however you can change you position around enemies much more easily.

The music comes on when Agumon warp digivolves to signify that Charizard is beyond fucked, War Greymon is the unbeatable boss coming to kill Charizard and Red at that point.
If Charizard X was the tyrant then they would have started the music after Greymon nova blasts Charizard into the water and Red uses the mega stone to transform Charizard.
Charizard and Greymon were almost even in power level but “Uncontrollable” coming on as Agumon turns into War Greymon is telling the viewers that Charizard X’s power is nowhere close to what is coming now and the dynamic kill is starting up.

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was one of the best things I've heard. Then I died... every time I heard it afterwards. Whenever I heard it, it became the prelude to my death so I started becoming paranoid whenever it played. It wasn't until later did I realize it played whenever a damned Tyrant saw me and decided to become my nightmare for that moment.
