@@Link3000XD In Xenoblade 2 there is a Side quest staring Ursula where she wants to be a better musician, it is infamous due to the sheer tediousness of it, You could start it as early as Chapter 3 and you could be finished with the game WAY before it is completed. And let's just say you'll be sick of the phrase "We are Ursula's New Groove, and we we'll do what we can." by the time it's over.

@@davidworks1036 Uhhh... not trying to start a waifu war here, but I can't think of a more bland character than Fiora. The whole point of her character is just to be their for Shulk - there's really not a whole lot more to her. Melia on the other hand has her feelings for Shulk in addition to her sense of duty to her people, the tragedy of her family, the imposter syndrome fears of inadequacy, and all of those emotions behind her best attempt at a calm and collected veneer. Plus she's got one of the most unique combat styles of the whole party.
You're right about Mumkhar of course, but I'm not sure that'd be a fair comparison for most of the characters :D Mumkhar oozes personality

As I see I'm not the only one who imagine Melly moving her body on the dance floor every time I hear this music. Someone defenitely should do a fan animation with her dancing passionately on this tune.
Honestly we can't be surprised at Melly's battle music... considering she's the type of warrior mage princess who would throw herself into the fray with a move like Starlight Kick.

The more I listen to this the more it brings to light how well they treat her character in Future Connected. She had shown maturity in the vanilla game by overcoming all of the woes that plagued her, and despite the heartbreaking romance plot ( or lack thereof ) she's really come into her own as an empress leading her people to the future. I'm so very proud of her, and I'm glad that she was able to funnel her big heart into her duties as an empress, a friend, and of course, a sister.

I don't know, I just finished future connected and it seems so simple, short and the narrative is so poor... You never even get to know why shit happens, there are no twists at all... the only interesting character dissappears and you find him in a pathetic sidequest...

This song is a joy. I'm learning to play this on piano and violin. To the people learning how to play this for fun or covers:
- The song sounds like it starts in the key F.
- Breakdown at 2:10 transitions the key from F to E♭.
- 2:30 this is E♭ now.
- 3:00 climbs to E♮.
- Beginning to jam towards the F.
- 3:55 Back to F for the loop.
Note: I only know the key because I need to know it for violin tuning. I don't have any sheets for either. I can read sheet music, I can play by ear, I cannot write sheet music.
If for some reason it's not F --> E♭ --> E --> F (because of relative scale shenanigans) then it's Dm --> Cm --> C♯m --> Dm. Either way, it's the same notes.

@@bayardkyyako7427 while yes, you're true, I think the problem lies in the weapon. We DO have a huge amount of Sword fighters, and while there are more fist fighters, they're typcially unique. One slaps, another karate chops, the other one punches, etc. With Swords, it's "haha blade so swoosh". What we really need are spears, hammers, a flail, etc. I'm sure if every fist fighters had Mario's Fair and Ganondorf's Bair, we'd have a different discussion lol. Regardles, Py/thra is in smash hell yeah

Shulk's Monado was responsible for the end of the world Zanza created, so I found that it's really cool that this monado looking staff is called like that.

the song is already good for the first 3 minutes then the choir of all of god’s angels come in hot and turn it into something else entirely
The really sad thing is most battles where this music plays don’t go on for long enough to give this magnificence a chance to play the whole way through. 😢
As soon as I started Future Connected I tried to piss off as many enemies as possible to try and get the battle music to last as long as possible.
Needless to say I got halfway towards the loop before being overwhelmed.

It really feels like, after killing a god, nothing is a challenge to these characters anymore. I mean, this sounds like Shulk and the others are having a breeze fighting their enemies. And that is just badass.
Even so, in times of peace after a long war. Most would take a breather and rest up, youl most likely be a bit rusty

Finally I got to start playing the game.
It was the first cutscene after I heard this beautiful battle theme that showed me what an awesome character Riki is and why he really is the MVP of this game.
This guy filled my eyes with tears after 5 minutes in.

This theme was one of the contributing factors to me accepting as many quests as possible since I knew the epilogue would be under 15 hours
Just here to point out that the flute is gonna be the main instrument of xenoblade chronicles 3 both musically and thematically, and its also extremely used in this song
1:24 The little accents of the flute here are my absolute favorite part. This version will always have that and the choir over the remix.
