Seriously. This is one of my favorite battle themes not only in the game but of the entire genre. If it weren't for Bravely Default's first one I'd call this one my personal favorite.
@@slobertooth1358 I agree. I really like this one, but I feel like the melody of the "main" part or "climax" doesn't hit as hard as it does in Torna battle theme. Edit: it would be at ~0:50 in the Torna Battle theme and 0:54 in this one.

I would've gladly replaced future connected's normal battle theme with anything else. If the fogbeast battle theme was the standard battle theme for all normal battles, I'd play future connected again. But it's not. Future connected's standard battle theme is hot garbage. Even before it had a name and had been uploaded to RUclips along with teasers of the other updated songs, I remember not liking it. I was worried it was battle music. But I figured the game was still a month from releasing, maybe I'll warm up to it by then. I never did. In fact I hated it even more and was horrified it was the standard battle theme you would have to hear a lot. Easily worst battle theme in the series.
Unfortunately the rest of the OST from the DLC of XC3 is super bland and unmemorable and the best song by far is the fog beast track from XC1 DLC (this video). I was incredibly disappointed that the new battle themes were so terribad and was really looking forward to more battle jazz bangers 😢
I just have to say, I absolutely love how xenoblade always emphasizes the second chorus way more than the first, and the harmony in the chorus is just insanely satisfying.
I kept them all of the time, too, and sometimes even did some super weird shit with the camera angle just so I could squee at that train of adorableness. XD
Hot damn, this is honestly one of the greatest battle themes in the series. Haven't gotten around to playing FC yet but I'm definitely looking forward to hearing this when I do.

@@ZER0lPT Only thing that puts me off using the Monado III is how bright it is. Its certainly Shulks best weapon, second to none, but I tend to just use the Monado I, Rudra or EX+ design while playing.
Not gonna lie, the Fogbeasts were a pretty cool gimmick, cuz not only did you need to pay attention to *when* you fought them, progression-wise, but *where* as well, since that Riot effect they set up immediately can potentially turn a 3v1 into a 3v4 or even just flat out outnumbering you.
Monolith just keeps getting better and better. Xenoblade has become one of my favorite series ever created. Cant wait to see whats next. Btw, this theme SLAPS.
Love the opening scare strings, cause all the series Unique Monster songs start with intros that double as combat music and panicked alarms, but with this one it leans all the way into horror music to symbolize the fog beasts being alien, unknown threats

Darklight 645 it's a double edged sword... if you want to S-Rank you have to take down the Fogbeast asap, but if you let the other enemies join in they're all beefed up to 85 along with it. which, for a party with barely any heals, aint pretty
Too bad the regular battle theme for future connected is easily the worst. This one on the other hand is far superior, and I'd go so far as to put it up there with torna's battle theme.

@@azurlune1877 So you know the gate to Gran Dell? There's a big cliff near it with some ruins with some Tokilos on it. If you climb to the top you get to this place called something Garden. One of the Ponspectors is there, but also once the rift is no longer in alcamoth you also find a unique monster that's also a fogbeast, near some Giant ruins (there was a chest that gave some exp up gear). It has like, 8 bunnits in front of it that will aggro if you don't take them out first, and it's in its mid 70s level wise.
When the hell can we single switch owners mod smash ultimate without fear of getting banned from online. I NEED to put this track in game man, it fits way too well
