He'd have the control, as much ether as needed, both types of raw power and _still_ have his humanity intact.

@@tsyumamatsuthehavenofguard32 from what I understand, the only reason, why he didn't take a high entia as a host is because there was no high entia available for him. (that can also swing a sword around). After all, he was kinda busy being trapped n'all. Also, it didn't really matter to him. Yes, telethia have certain abilities, that's true, but they are *nothing* compared to a monado.
@@tsyumamatsuthehavenofguard32 They don't bend the ether to their will like Shulk does, they read minds, that's all they do. Shulk's visions are ineffective against them because they just read what he's going to do to dodge them and adapt their attacks.

This version has really grown on me. At first I didn't really like it because they changed the key signature, but other than that they really added a lot of great stuff. I love how gritty the guitar sounds throughout the whole OST, and the choir sounds pretty epic in this version too.
Specifically, the key was changed from D# Minor to E Minor.

Don't forget about that random group of Mechon in Central Factory.
Theres something about this version that's just significantly more badass than the original. The way they sync up the guitar riffs and the violin for the main hook, the higher emphasis on vocals the baseline, the freaking baseline, that alone would've put this above the original.

I like to think this song is the mechon's theme in general. I know it's used as a general boss theme but I can't help but think of Metal Face and so on when I hear it
Pretty sure that's Tragic Decision, plays twice against him. Once in the cutscene at Galahad Fortress, and during the fight at Agniratha.

Step 1: cancel the vision.
Step 2: die via spike attacks mid art.
Step 3: get revived. Solved.
Why anybody would both using spike defense if they're overleveled is a mystery I will never understand

@@tsyumamatsuthehavenofguard32 in the original,just react with the monado as soon as the timer is about to expire. The Monado animation takes a bit to acitivate the effect so by the time the timer finishes the Monado would have prevented any of the for three attacks that may occur.
Unless you do the whole fight where the music will change no matter what after a certain amount of HP is lost

This sounds significantly more epic and intense than previously.

When I first heard this, I knew would never be able to hear the original without being disappointed.
I semi-disagree, the tubular bells in the back are really quiet in this version. The song may be more intense, but it feels less dramatic. Still really good, though.

Makes you feel super small and insignificant at the start of each fight yet leaves you feeling like a total badass when you manage to turn the tables. Finally getting a chain attack on that shit eating heel Xord with this playing was an incredible feeling.

Max Richards that fight was hell for me, he kept spawning more mechon and the party gauge filled up so slow. It was a lot tougher than mumkhar and you will pay for your insolence
This is the music I imagine people hear when they say "Why do I hear boss music?"
One of the most obviously remastered pieces in the soundtrack. Taking advantage of the Switch's audio capabilities really paid off. I can always appreciate it when you can really feel each musician's instrument in the beat (take the intro, for example).

They fixed this song a LOT compared to the original. Amazing what a shift up a single Key signature can do to a piece. Also the vocalists did an amazing job overall with all these new tracks.

I really love the dark bass-line this version has. It really adds to the intensity.
Somehow, grinding out a boss with this song makes 5 minutes feel like an hour, and an hour feel like several. But honestly, I love the games that can suck me in, it's been too long since I've felt that.
The beginning of this song sounds like a big bad guy walking up to you, more than anything other song in existence.
It’s different, but definitely a nice surprise for someone who’s heard it a thousand times. (If you don’t like it just change the settings to the classic ost)
The remastered version makes me feel the song is more XC2 style.

Yeah, most of the battle and area themes are remixed, but only a few cutscene tracks are remixes.
The song never got past the 1 minute mark because of the goddamn visions so it's good to finally know what it sounds like after that.

There are for quite a few games and series if they are popular enough. They may have even been some XC ones in Japan, not sure. I’d kill for a worldwide Xenoblade concert tour one day though.

Okay, remember how much all the people who played XC1 freaked out when Malos pulled out his Monado? How much more do you think people would have freaked out if this song, especially a new arrangement like this, had played for his boss fight then? Just a thought.

Both are perfect for different scenarios.
The old theme fits for mechon, like metal face, xord, nemesis, and Jade.
The new, on the other hand fits better for machina based bosses, egil, zanza's followers, and the telethia boss battles.
Honestly I wish just pure custom boss selection was an option

The whole opening part of the game blew my mind playing it on the TV for the first time along with the upgraded visuals and then hearing this track again was the icing on the cake
This feels like a progression of the original. It's like in miitopia when you're fight the dark lord and he goes to phase 2. It's not a new song, just the first song done in a different way. And that's exactly what this feels like to me, a phase 2.

Just like the original, it’s taking me some time to get used to the boss theme. However, I like the new theme so much more than the old one. This feels more gritty and cool while the original feels like a threat and a “I have to take you down” vibe to it. They’re both great songs though😆
