I will always love FR for solving the biggest problem base xenoblade 3 had gameplay wise, locking the healers into 1 ouroboros pairing and the rest have non. I love Eunie and Taion, but on chain attacks it feels inefficient to needing to deal with with lanz or mio orders because chain attacks mostly exclude defenders except if your name is Ashera, which is great cause she exclude herself.
yaa I never used Lanz and begrudgingly used Mio to do the Ouroboros order with Noah. For me a good hero can be broken down into 3 parts, how good they are in there role in battle, there chain ability and there chain bonus. Ashera definitely fills in 2 out of 3 of those
@@PlaneptunePatriot I would argue depending on the set up she is good in all 3 aspects, if you don’t grind soulhacker skills and only use signifiers for buffs, then ashera giving the only necessary power charge on round 1 would be great if you don’t pair it on the healer with a damage dealing ability (on the other aspects she has the best chain ability, or at least the most versatile and has a launch skill which unironically feels like enough to beat most enemies beside some of the healers and the dlc
@@isyf1523 To be fair it’s been a really long time since I played base XB3 with the all the hero so I don’t remember how good most of the them(with the exception of Valdi) where in just doing there roles in battle. Since by the end I made sure the main 6 had 2 arts that could break/topple/launch I never had to worry to much out that and I had team comp be 2 attacker /2 defenders/ 2 healers the hero I chose is just for class points or to compensate for a lack in a role When it comes to chain ability the only hero that have out right good ones are Gray, Juniper, Ashera, Monica, Ghondor, post game characters 1, post game characters 2 and FR bonus characters 1. The rest can be out right bad, ok or situationally good/bad When it comes to completion bonus the only hero that have out right good ones are Ethel, Isurd, Ashera, Monica, Fiona, Miyabi, Cammuravi, Segiri, post game characters 1, Ino(DLC), FR bonus 1 and FR bonus 2. Thevreast are mostly bad to ok or do nothing.
@@PlaneptunePatriot Juniper isn't even that good when it comes to Chain Attacks. While she and Gray have the same Completion Bonus, Gray's Heroic Chain is leagues better (1.5x damage ration will almost always outperform a flat +50 damage ratio) and FMJ's damage output compared to Stalker's (especially without Fusion Arts) actually allows him to contribute damage-wise to a Chain. Even Juniper having lower TP is a give and take deal since while it makes her easier to use without going over the 100 limit, Gray can actually reliably let you hit Bravo on round 1 if Taion isn't build as an Attacker/Defender. The same deal applies to Monica; she's objectively a bottom 3 Hero, her Completion Bonus is shared with Miyabi, who uses a much better Class (both in and out of Chain Attacks) and has a Heroic Chain that functionally can do the same thing if you build Mio as an Attacker/Defender without forcing you to finish an Order with your Hero.
Thing is this is not even the best version of this combo, if I just replaced A with Shulk as Rex’s union’s partner, then I would have done a smash which would have made my damage around 20-24 million
The damage multiplier increases by a set amount depending on the TP, e.g. if you get over 100TP your damage multiplier will increase by around 100 but if you get over 200TP your damage multiplier will increase by around 200. There seems to be a cap to this so you even if you get 999TP your damage multiplier will only increase by 200-250, but I don't think there is a cap to the overkill EXP but never tested it

I can’t help but feel like you'd get more damage overall if you'd given that tactics manuel to Rex instead of Nikol.
I thought the same thing to and tested it. I ended up doing less damage with Rex and it was harder to keep Rex in the chain.

As far as I know, TP itself does not affect the damage multiplier. The three TP ratings (Good, Bravo, Amazing) do.
