    I am not into luxury bags or jewelry, but I am into luxury fragrances and I can relate to some of your videos.
    I used to own 50+ fragrances, a good bit of them high end (from $200 to $500). I had intentions on buying 50 to 100+ more when I realized a few things;
    1.) I wasn't wearing nor did I have the time or opportunity to wear most of them.
    2.) Most of these fragrances just felt too "upscale" and I really don't go to many upscale events. I was buying them for special occasions that may never come around.
    3.) I'd only envision my best self or "fantasy self" wearing them. In reality, a lot of the fragrances I had just didn't fit my lifestyle.
    4.) I was "shrining" a lot of my fragrances. I saw them as little trophies or things I loved to smell or fawn over, but was too afraid to wear or "use them up".
    I have now cut my collection down to 10. Even though I still struggle with the idea of owning a ton of fragrances for each and every occasion (even fantasy occasions) it feels good having a collection that makes sense, but is still enjoyable and fits my lifestyle.

      Wow, same here 40+ bottles of niche perfumes that I could buy a car for it !!! One day I realised it and some I sold, some gifted to my mum and still have around 13. I had so many that sometimes I spent 20 minutes before work to think which one to choose and end up with none. Now I am happy with my collection and I use it almost everyday. I don’t think of them as collection anymore just perfumes. I have enough for whole decade and I enjoy what I have

    I completely agree with you on the leather scratching issue. I bought a Celine recently and returned it because I knew that the leather was not going to hold up in the way that I needed it to for my life. I really like a more textured leather like YSL’s caviar and any company’s goat because it means that it will have a greater longevity. I am now in the phase of trying to buy the things that will be forever pieces instead of something trendy that won’t last and so having some thing like goatskin feels like a much better fit for me than box calf.

    Hi 👋🏽
    I wore the same wedding outfit for 5 years to every wedding I attended… I changed my makeup/ hair / jewelry and bag ceteris peribhus. It was awkward at first but I decided I wasn’t gonna spend money on a dress I would only wear 1-2 x a year. Friends were appalled at first then envious because I always had the secret ingredient with me ( comfortable - happy and content).

    Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps are without a doubt the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever tried on 😄 I love high heels but I can't understand who can actually walk in those shoes. I've got two pairs of Louboutin heels. My beige Louboutin wedges are the perfect pair for almost any summer outfit but I haven't been wearing the other pair in years. comfort is king for me. if I don't feel comfortable in something, either physically or mentally (as in being very self conscious about how I look), I'll stop wearing it very quickly. I often get back from work and throw something straight in the "declutter" box if I feel like I didn't enjoy wearing it. it's also one of the main reasons I don't wear heels, at all. perhaps that's the reason I'm also a very casual person, I like simple clothes because they're "easy".
    you have a beautiful style Eileen. I wish I was living in a cooler climate, I would "adopt" some of the things you wear.

    I’m unhappy with my entire wardrobe right now as I’ve gained close to 25 lbs. since last year. I was on some medication that has a side effect of weight gain. It hasn’t made me too happy.😩😩😩 There are many things that are a little tight on me but enough that they’re uncomfortable. I have decluttered some clothing but am not prepared to get rid of everything. So everyday it’s frustrating trying to find something to wear. Luckily I have a very casual lifestyle and don’t work outside the home. Right now I’m basically living in leggings and t-shirts. My fantasy life would have me in beautiful dresses but in reality I wouldn’t have anywhere to wear them.😂😂😂

    I absolutely love fine jewelry but I've had to think more practically about my purchases since I tend to wear my jewelry all day, every day. For example, I think chandelier earrings are pretty, but I've never bought the style, because I know that I sleep in my jewelry and wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably in that type of earring, so I probably wouldn't get much use out of them. I also wanted a moonstone necklace, but moonstone isn't a great stone to wear every day or to expose to perfume or hair products.

    The reality of what I wear on a daily basis are 99.9% athleisure and gym clothing. I've purchased quite a few slim/skinny fit jeans and graphic slim fit t-shirts (club / out-to-dinner tees), which I have yet to wear. Some of the jeans and t-shirts are over 2 years old with tags attached. I often feel I will need these items in case I decide to spontaneously go out for the night with friends. Truth of the matter is when I do get invited to go out to dinner or out to a club, I decline, because I just don't want to get dressed up - not that wearing jeans is getting dressed up. I've decided to keep true to myself and STOP buying weekend/night out on the town clothing and stick to gym wear. On a positive note, the jeans and tees I have yet to wear are timeless.

    I would never invest in anything that makes me feel scared to use the item, because of the value. That's probably why I only have one (vintage) LV, and the rest of my bags are just Ralph Lauren or Minkoff. Also, the Chanels and Hermeses gives an impression of show- off. Even if I could save and buy one, my income is low, and wearing a Chanel while driving an old inherited car would be cringy :D .
    I totally agree with buying what you'll actually wear, versus buying what you would want to look like/ wear. That's my problem, so half of my closet includes things I just don't wear, because they don't suit my lifestyle and needs.

      This reminds me of a Moomin comic. Ms. Mumble got a ring from her admirer, that had a huge diamond on it. People kept telling her, 'A lady with a ring like that doesn't dress like that / live like that', and she ended up having to buy new everything, including a huge mansion and a maid, to match her ring. She couldn't go anywhere to not 'ruin her clothes' and she couldn't do anything around the house because 'that's the maid's job'. In the end, she said, 'this is not me', and got rid of the ring and everything she had changed to match it.
