True Classic Pieces | Luxury items I've had for years but love more and more

  • Hi there, I'm Eileen. Over the years, my wardrobe went through a lot of curation and downsizing. Despite all the changes, there are certain luxury items that continue to grow on me more and more. I call these my true classic luxury pieces. In fact, purchasing the right luxury items has helped to make my shopping habit more sustainable over the long term. Several items I mentioned have continued to be my 'unicorns'. Because of that, I haven't had the urge to look for more. So it's not surprising why I think these items are worth every penny for my wardrobe xx

    Quiet luxury is trendy but I don't think it will last that long. It is better to buy what we like instead of being influenced to buy trendy items. I think buying classic pieces are better choice like you just shared the speedy, Burberry coat, Birkin/Kelly, mini pochette....etc. Classic items are oversattured but in the long-run they do increase in price due to the demand. And it will never be out of style. Great video Eileen ❤.

    I agree so much with you on the Longchamp bag! It is such a masterpiece in my opinion and they might be the best purchases in a lot of people's closets. They are durable, light and stylish while not being extremely expensive or flashy. Great for travel, work or any other activities. Not to mention the cost per wear ends up being pretty low if you consider all the occasions you can wear it to. Great video Eileen!

    ITA re Longchamp Le Pliage’s being a timeless, understated staple. After years of having nylon ones, I recently purchased a Le Pliage City Tote for travelling... still has the classic silhouette of a Pliage, but the coated canvas is easier to wipe dirt off. I love that it’s still got those sturdy bag straps, a touch of French heritage history behind it, but is much more low key than other well-known coated canvas bags out there. I also have a Le Pliage Pouch that I use as a quickly-get-out-the-door errand small bag. It’s very handy and easy to securely slip on my wrist when doing the groceries.

    I cannot agree more about the Burberry trench! I have mine (knee lenght) for 17 years now! Im using it a lot and it goes to dry cleaning 2x /year… still prestine condition. I also like the lady dior more than Chanel flap (sold all my Chanel classic flaps). When we experience style and items, we know at the end of the day what we really enjoy/fit our lifestyle and esthetic.❤ Thanks Eileen

    Nothing beats the Longchamp Le pliage tote for me... I bought my first in highschool over ten years ago now, and currently have five 😅 Even though I've tried more expensive totes, I've never found anything that matches it in practicality for school/work. It's lightweight, practical and also doesn't hurt your shoulders even with heavy items. And with a reasonable price, I don't have to baby or care for it as much. Absolutely perfect

  • @flohough1870
    @flohough1870 10 месяцев назад +4

    Your comment "what I would replace if I lost everything" is a great starting point for anyone who might be wanting to downsize. I think we often get so swept up in the purchasing and ownership aspect of things, we forget about actually loving something or how well it works in our lives. Also agree completely with you on the Speedy 25, it really is a Mary Poppins bag, sometimes I forget just how much you can get in a bag that size and shape! I think Damier Ebene (and even Damier Azur) both sort of fit the quiet luxury aesthetic because neither are in your face logos, just classy squares with the tiny LV name.

    So many things to agree with here! I’ve had my Chanel Reissue, my Fendi Fendista pochette, my Mikimoto double strand of akoyas, and my Cartier Love and Trinity rings for many years. I wear them all regularly and can’t imagine loving a replacement for any of them as much.

    I have had my Movado watch for more than ten years. It is so reliable and has a gold/silver band therefore, it goes with everything. I have my eye on a Patek Phillipe watch, but I can't justify spending over $10,000 on a watch. I would rather spend my money on experiences through traveling.

    Dear Eileen, lovely video, and very practical Mary Poppins (or Hermione Granger;)) bag.
    Due to a spine injury I've had to replace my shoes with -rather ugly- orthopedic ones. I simply cannot walk in 'normal' shoes anymore. Very sad, since all pairs were in good condition.
