Might be my favorite hunting beast video ever. What a blessing for Dave to have one last ride.
Dan, you were the kind of friend to dave that all of us wish we had or thank God for having. Im glad to have been able to watch you and dave hunt and scout over the past few years as I've been learning to hunt. Hunting Beasts never die!

I can tell You miss Dave. We're all lucky that You film hunting videos that include others, besides just Yourself. Dave seems to have been everything a best friend could be. I'm happy for You to have had a friend like him.

If I had two tags or one i would take a chance the meat would be salvageable and take the buck. Especially if i needed to fill my freezer. I might even tag it and take it to the neighbors to see if maybe a young hunter had previously shot the buck, maybe have the chance to educate them on the advantages of a quick humane kill or even demonstrate how important a good follow up on tracking and determining a ethical decision to contact other land owners to follow up on their potential harvest/concern for the bucks fate.
Watching the last chapter. I can relate my best friend Dave and I were like brother's for 42 year's when he passed. He had a place by Milston. Hunting Fishing did most everything together. His brother has cabin now so now he's like my new brother. Still go to his stand and sit.

The hunt for me doesn't stop just because I tagged out. I spent many days in a tree with out a bow or a gun an still call it hunting
The times and memories are what this is all about, let's enjoy making new ones and being thankful for the old ones.

I was.going to tey and buy it but lt just didmt work out
I had a 1.5 yo fork horn in my land by my house show up late summer. Then in October(gun season in SC) 1 front leg was swinging around like it was on a string. All on cam
Didn’t see him again till the next summer, skinny, leg all curled up with him partially walking on it.
By hunting season he was walking fairly normal and had a goofy rack.
Survived again and year 3 his rack was moderately normal and walks fine.
You are missed Dave, keep watch on Dan from above.
That feeling like your stuck don't feel bad or regret anything Dave was one of a kind he wanted you to take them bucks and he was just as happy like he shoot the bucks you guys were a team the hole thing fits just like it was supposed to one of the top hunting beast films

I know you may not be a hockey fan but this makes me think of some of the best players in the sport are the ones who pride their game on their ability to setup plays that lead to goals. Assist kings. Dave was one of those. He loved to set you up for a goal, get you the puck, and watch it play out. Great video, Dan. This is a nice homage to your friend.

Hey does deer. When they scrape does there always have to be an overhanging limb? There is this lil spice bush that comes up to there mouth and they been scraping around it does and bucks . Just wondering.
