I played the demo and I was impressed at how good this game is.
I wasn't the Demo is annoying the fights go from the left and right side of the screen with jumpy animations.
Bruh how did the other nation just fall that essily what the hell were they? this is a magic fantasyland Let alone a real world with no magic conquering a single nation is no mere joke
This is a magic land where Powerful sorcerers and geniuses across all nations and your telling me they fell to this doffus? who is merely not even an apocalypse threat?🤦🏻

i would have believed a more story of an ancient Sorcerer that was boundless back in his era regaining his life once more in this new era that has its magic slightly weakened but not in all of them only a majority of them the rest still has those ancient techniques
and overtime this ancient sorcerer was able to take over a single nation through schemes and overwhelming forces
And as he plans on conquering the other nations hes gotta Take this cautiously as they might band together to slaughter his abyssal butchecks to the nether realm
as he plan his strategies and counters againts other nations in each region overtime he slowly takes over in most land and etc
So for everybody freaking out in the comment section it says right there in the description that the demo will be out for PSX/Xbox Friday at 9PM PST.

Of course. They did Odin Sphere and Dragon's Crown previously (and I might have missed other titles from their catalogue).
If you enjoy the artwork, try checking their other games, they never fail to have nice artwork even if the gameplay is not a person's cup of tea.

I'm surprised at how complete and long the demo is. Definitely getting the full game
Some article said the demo was "around 5 hours" but I just passed that mark and still have tons of things to do on my map. It doesn't even feel like a demo, it feels like they accidentally uploaded the full game.

@@matthew81p My problem is I'm getting the ps version. And I'd love my progress to carry over when it comes out too. Usually I'll play a demo 2-3 days prior to release so that I get that consistent experience. I might have to take the hit and play it on switch then.

I love VanillaWare's games they are just gorgeous and a blast to play. I wish you guys could get them over to PC though. Q.Q Gotta shell out money for a whole console just to enjoy your games.

I've been begging for an Ogre Battle remake for sooooo long I can't believe its finally happening
I had to Pre-Order the PS5 Collector’s Edition of Unicorn Overlord after playing a sizable amount of the Demo! I’ve never played a Vanillaware Title, so I’m very excited to jump into the foray! 🦄
How is this not on the oculus quest? It is perfect for vr and would sell gangbusters on the device. RTS and this artstyle would be perfect!
Demo so far is absolutely incredible. This game is a breath of fresh air for this genre. So happy to be playing it. Cant wait for the full release. Please make Shining Force with this engine. Please please.

As much as I enjoy the overall atmosphere and beauty of the world and such, after having played the demo, I just wonder, what is the actual core gameplay? Everything happens automatically on the battlefield (?)
Is it really so hard to advertise if the demo is exclusive to Switch or not? Considering progress carries over, would be nice to treat all your customers fairly.

Vanillaware must have some sort of contract that doesn't allow them to release on PC.

They're a console game company. They aren't interested in pc development or porting.
Doin' a bit of research I find that because they are from Japan they don't have as many pc gamer market as here in the west. So for them Japan first profitability. I am starting to understand a bit more.
@@Quartered_Rodent we live in different times. And both atlus and sega put their games on pc. Atlus owns vanilla ware and sega owns atlus. There's zero excuse.
The demo is 7 hours long!!!! omg They really let you sink your teeth in. The save carries over to the release as well. I had so much more fun playing this over the FF7 Rebirth demos.
