Hi Dan thanks for all the great info. One problem I seem to have over and over again is closing a Safari page by mistake where I have multiple tabs open losing all of them. I know the usual go back in history etc but my last instance I had over 400 tabs open so that is not really an option except to fill in the last 20 or so tabs before it gets ridiculous. Wondering is there anyway to bring that page back once I closed it? I know there used to be a way that you would hold down the Safari button and another button would appear in the upper right hand corner, but that option seems to no longer be available. Thanks for any input.
This is a welcome addition. Too often I watch your iPhone videos and then try to duplicate the process on my iPad, only to find the iPad either doesn't use this feature or it uses a different way to get there. My iPad goes with me wherever I go, so help with iPad issues are very valuable to me.

To type the Esc key without having to remap Caps Lock or one of the other ones, you can press Ctrl+[ - this key combination has been around since the dawn of time, and has to do with what the “Ctrl” key did on ASCII computer terminals way back when. Basically, the ASCII code for “Esc” is 27 decimal, or 1B in hexadecimal (00011011 binary). The “Ctrl” key masks out the leftmost 3 bits, and the ASCII code for “[“ is 5B hex / 01011011 binary. Similarly, the line feed character (1A / 00001010) is Ctrl + J (J is 4A / 01001010) … carriage return is Ctrl + M etc. This is also why Apple operating systems and products, which have roots in Unix, which has roots in the teletype systems of the past, have separate Ctrl and Cmd keys.
Oh wow, great explanation on the keybrd. It never dawned on me that the Apple keyboard has its roots in teletype green screen keyboards…even though I’ve used them, although mainly as an AIX admin using PuTTY. One feature that I love to use on my iPad 7th gen is that you can use it as second monitor to your Macbook. Alternatively you can also have your Apple Magic Mouse or Trackpad to navigate through both Macbook and iPad at the same time making it easy to multi-task on both devices.

The latest iPad has some really great adaptability features, including voice control for the entire iPad. This is different than using the microphone on the keyboard rather in this case you go to the accessibility features and you can have it listen to you for entire voice dictation as well as the entire voice control of the iPad. Honestly, this voice control is one of the best ones. I’ve used the other element Is that you can choose to have it turned on and off based on whether or not you’re looking at the screen. This is for the voice recognition, but this can also be for keeping your iPad awake or sleep mode.

Interesting things, thanks for highlighting them. It is somewhat difficult to follow/remember all the details ... a book of PDFs with a useful table of contents and an index would be helpful. :) 😊
Don't know if it can be done. My question: when selecting some games, it comes up in the portrait mode. I like using games in the landscape mode. Can I (somehow) rotate the portrait mode to landscape mode? Or is it because the game format just doesn't allow it? Thx. Just another guy who is amazed at your bag of tricks with the iPad. The “creat a new page” option isn’t available when you create a custom Focus. Seems to be a choice only with the predefined focus modes. Also, when you create a custom page, I haven’t figured out how to edit it again although that screen does show up as a choice when creating a custom focus mode. Seems like this feature needs some work. Using IOS 17.3.1. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot for this and the previous iPad video. I recently sold my Mac because I never used it. I rely on my iPad Pro M2. I’ve started using it “Pro” by connecting it to a monitor, but have had a few issues, like sometimes this weird thing happens where the iPad Magic Keyboard no longer types after disconnecting from the monitor. If I reconnect, it will type fine, but I have to reboot it before it works again. It would be great if you were to talk about power management. When connected to an external monitor, the iPad consumes much more power than usual. Is it healthy to keep it plugged in all the time?
You have NO CLUE how many times I share screenshots of your friend, “Tim Apple,” with my friends & family here in America. 😂 You are quickly ascending to being included into “being left in the will” status 😂🎉!! Maybe you could come & meet all of us for the finalization celebration 🥳… just don’t forget Tim!!! 😜 Great content, as always. I’m an avid user of the iPad & have been since they were released & you even threw one by me here. I am, by no means, saying I’m a know-it-all, but I do watch a lot of these, I read a lot, and try to study them, etc. Very well done!
Paper like is fantastic. Have been using them for years. However the biggest downfall of them is the difficulty of putting it on zero bubbler. Out of the dozens and dozens of screen protectors I’ve installed none of them have given me as much trouble :/ still worth using with the bubbles though tbh lol

Will I be able to access your PDFs from a windows computer when I sign up? Love your videos! As a junior Senior 😉 I need to see some things in larger print. I love your voice too, I’d choose you for my Siri voice! 😊
My iPad Pro is a permanent attachment to my body and 50% of my brain power.😂 I don’t go anywhere without it. I also work from home and exclusively use an iPad to manage a cleaning company. I have my iPad set up to take calls instead of using my phone. The calls ring straight through to my iPad and I can answer or decline and send it to voicemail. I have a headset with microphone which makes it even easier to answer calls. Because my hands aren’t fiddling with a phone, I can still navigate my software to help my cleaning techs or clients. When I am not at my desk, I can still answer calls on my phone. Using Siri with iPad and iPhone - I primarily use Siri on my iPad. To stop Siri from activating on my phone when it is next to my iPad, just turn the phone over, face down. Siri will then only activate on my iPad. I am not sure if it is because the Apple Watch is attached to the phone, but this also prevents the Apple Watch from completing the command and forces the iPad Siri to do the command. I forget to take the garbage out for pick up on the correct day… all the time. So I created a “focus mode” that is set to run on days I need to put the garbage at the curb. All it does is change the wallpaper background on my iPhone and iPad to a wallpaper that I made with a Recycling bin clipart image and text “Take to curb!” This automation runs on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 10pm and then automatically changes back to my regular wallpaper at 10pm. I do this because, if I am busy doing something else, a traditional reminder will get ignored and forgotten about until 5am the next morning when I hear the garbage truck coming down the street and I frantically run outside, in my nightgown and no shoes, to drag the cans to the curb. The wallpaper background change allows a visual reminder that I still need to do this at whatever random time I remember to look at my phone.
Anyone else having or had a problem when selecting a new voice for the spoken content accessibility feature and, not actually switching from the default voice. For instance, I’ve selected Siri 1, but it’s still defaulting to the default voice. Evan when in the settings page. It shows that i have indeed changed to Siri 1. Any suggestion on what might be happening, and why it’s not working correctly ?
I as for the edit form pdf is will not working if send over window machine the text can’t see. As for note by adding the note with 2 tap on Lock Screen I will It recommended as your friend or other other who have your iPad they can login without password
Question. I use Bluetooth keyboard and mouse with my iPad and when i watch RUclips and want to maximize video to full screen with my mouse it does not do that, i have to pause video than push full screen icon it goes full screen and than push play, and once again when it is full screen i want to go back again pushing minimize button it does not do anything, pausing pushing icon, video goes to default view size and again push play button it plays the video.
Swipe up from the bottom left corner to take a screen-capture. That’s why you don’t put the Quick-note there. Then decide which tab, before pressing done.

I was very excited to listen to your video and more excited about your first tip. But I never got past the first tip because the option to listen to page isn’t active. It’s greyed out. What do I need to do to change that. Thank you.
I don’t have that option either. It’s not even there, never mind greyed out.
Interesting things, thanks for highlighting them. It is somewhat difficult to follow/remember all the details ... a book of PDFs with a useful table of contents and an index would be helpful. :) 😊
Very helpful thank you!
I have the Pro model and love it. I keep all my required documents in the Notes as necessary. just subscribed.
Thanks for your sharing on Ipad tips. I just couldnt find the keyboard hardware on my settings. Btw, I am using ipad 10 generations.
THANKS for this amazing video on iPad tips. There is so much more I can do with my iPad and your video(s) are helping me discover its capabilities. THANK YOU
If you get any of the newest Keyboard/Trackpad Magnetic Rebound Cases from ESR for the iPad, they have dedicated a proper Escape key, along with Mission Control/App Switcher and Siri Keys.
Fantastic! Thank you!
2:01 I hate the contextual menu and how you have to hit the arrow to access more options. I wish they would display all options in one little menu.
I love your videos. Thank you for making this. I'm going to sit down with my coffee now and enjoy this. Wanted to get in there before everyone else. LOL.
I saw that one of your focus modes was “driving”. Can you do a video about this, with some legal information as well. (When and how is it legal to use the iPad when driving. Thanks! And keep up the good work.
Where did you get your desktop shelf? What brand is it. I need get one and yours looks tidy. Thanks Robert.
Love your video😃
Scribble is genius - unfortunately it does not come in my language so it is limited how much I can use it. Wish apple could fix that.
What’s the switcher or device under your square monitor?
Thank you. I usually figure out most functions of my iPad or so I thought.! 😎
What is the minimum release for iPad to Have your iPad read to you work?
You have NO CLUE how many times I share screenshots of your friend, “Tim Apple,” with my friends & family here in America. 😂
You are quickly ascending to being included into “being left in the will” status 😂🎉!!
Maybe you could come & meet all of us for the finalization celebration 🥳… just don’t forget Tim!!! 😜
Great content, as always.
Edge on Android also reads web pages. The sound is pretty life-like.
On ipad air (i am guessing also on ipad pro) under multitasking, there is option for stage manager. Anyone use this before? I can’t really understand how this work
Hi, thank you
Hi. great video. unfortunately, there is no possibility to ‘speak article’ in Croatia yet. Maybee for 5 Years.
Thanks 😊
9:31 the bull's eye icon in Control Center is for Screen Recording, not to open the Notes app.
The screen you show for accessing Notes in Settings isn’t what I have on my 2022 iPad Pro. I find the Notes settings in Settings -> Apps -> Notes
THANK PROPER 🤗💚💚💚
Get out of the habit of using emojis in RUclips comments
Well spoken, thank you.
Will I be able to access your PDFs from a windows computer when I sign up? Love your videos! As a junior Senior 😉 I need to see some things in larger print. I love your voice too, I’d choose you for my Siri voice! 😊
Yes, the PDFs are accessible on windows, Mac, Android, iOS etc, essentially any computer that can open a PDF file.
The option to click listen to content was there but not bold (dimmed) so I couldn’t select that. How do I turn that on.
The wallpaper background change allows a visual reminder that I still need to do this at whatever random time I remember to look at my phone.
thanks alot , this was very helpful
A great and very interesting video. Loved it.
Brilliant!! Thank you very much
Anyone else having or had a problem when selecting a new voice for the spoken content accessibility feature and, not actually switching from the default voice.
As for note by adding the note with 2 tap on Lock Screen I will
It recommended as your friend or other other who have your iPad they can login without password

Swipe up from the bottom left corner to take a screen-capture. That’s why you don’t put the Quick-note there. Then decide which tab, before pressing done.
