I was lucky enough to see him in play in Austin his Senior year - yep, the year they won the BCS Championship. Oh what a great year for the Longhorns!!! Such great chemistry he and Colt had. Shear athletic talent.
Very inspiring guy. All he has overcome, etc. His speed is quite amazing and his ability to cut is tremendous. And now he has the UT record for most yards receiving in a single game, 273. I hope Texans or Dallas can draft or trade for him.
The Red Rivalry game is on right now and every time I watch Texas I think about Shipley dude is hands down one of my favorite college players of all time.
Love this pick by the Bengals. He should be able to contribute right away. Along with Gresham and Bryant they should be back to being a top 5 passing team. WHO DEY!!!
i appreciate the response...as a Texas native you could have easily jumped down my throat over this(which people do all the time) i'm a huge college football fan and having played football for 5 years i can get pretty competitive at times. my emotion in my previous comment is a result of my 2 favorite teams being utterly dismantled 2 years in a row at the rose bowl by 1 man/1 team...vince young. if you know your history, you already know i'm referring to Michigan and USC.
I think Jordan Shipley will make a phenomenal NFL receiver. The Cincinnati Bengals really impressed me when they drafted him. I just hope he doesn't get overlooked in all the TO / Ochostinko hype over at Cincinnati.
I am an OU fan but can tell you that Its about the respect when it comes to these two. One of them deserves the heisman, which SHOULD stay in the Big 12 Boomer!
im not sure about top end speed, but he has got some damn good explosion thats for sure and i also think he is a damn good route runner. i hope he has an awesoe year
I'm a Bengals fan and he had problems with injuries and drops after his rookie season, so we released him. I'm not sure he's fully recovered from his ACL injury.
He went from an enemy in the feista bowl to a sick bengals team. If we can sign T.O today a superbowl should already be in our hands. Our WR's are so sick. My buckeyes did a decent job at shutting down Shipley though.
I used to live in Germany, and what they call "American Football" over there is not NEARLY as popular as soccer, so going into 2008 I didn't even know the rules to football. Now, I moved to Texas, and well, let's say, I got hooked....on them horns! I'm even playing football myself, even though I'm at one of the worst schools athletic-wise (Westwood).
body shape? what exactly does that mean? Shipley is 6'0 190 Welker 5'9 190 which would make Welker shorter, but stockier, Shipley has reportedly ran a 4.28 40 yard dash which would probably be a 4.3 or 4.4 electronic, Welker ran a 4.55 or 4.6. Both are extremely quick and have great hands, that is the only similarity besides the obvious
@therealallpro ya same here man. But they got dez so good deal for them. going to the bengals is alright for him, but he probably wont have a great rookie season... The bengals got Ochocinco and Bryant as the top recivers, then im guessing matt jones gets the 3rd reciever spot, which gives shipley maybe the 4th spot.
Ran a 4.57 and 4.60 at the combine. Small + slow = lucky to get drafted at all in the NFL (just ask Wes Welker). Zero chance he goes in the first 2 rds now, would be surprised if he even goes in the 3rd. Small slow and fragile, hopefully he'll go by the 4th rd and have a great career. He really does have a short choppy stride, perhaps another Welker, but Welker was a lot tougher.
Ok i'm not talking about explosive plays or 50 yard bombs. I'm saying that he will be super productive if he's utilized as a slot receiver. I'm skeptical on Dez Bryant and would be more than tempted to take him in the first round if i'm a GM. But if you cant get him or the risk out weighs the benefit than i'm just as happy with Jordan Shipley whether its the 2nd or 3rd round pick.
Decker suffered a season ending injury early in the game against OSU. Imagine the stats that Decker would put up had he played in Texas' offense. They would crush Shipley's.
@playray91 yea, all that talk about the corner from bama, arenas and look what shipley did, he burnt him every time, he just didnt have colt to throw it though
@playray91 shipley flat out carried us in the national championship i have never seen a reciever take over like he did look at the stats greatest reciever in ut history hands down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6'0 195 too small? Maclin 6'0 198 Desean Jackson 5'10 175, Ted Ginn Jr 180 pounds 5''11. Reggie Wayne 6'0 198. Donald Driver 6'0 194. not sure if any were in the first 5 but some were in the first round. They are all good receivers. How many wide receivers have been drafted in the top 5 picks? Usually you pick a different position.hes definetly one of the top 5 wide receivers to come out in 2010
and as the old saying goes, "if you can't beat 'em, burn 'em!" lol i'm kidding. i'm rooting for the longhorns this year. i'm a huge fan of Colt McCoy. i've followed him since he was a freshman and he continues to impress me and not simply because he's a great college qb, but because of his character(being of strong religious background) and integrity on and off the field. so go longhorns!!! hopefully everyone above usc will lose a game or 2(except UT of course) so the trojans can get a rematch!
He was one of the most exciting players of all-time.
the most underrated WR in college football this guy can play
I was lucky enough to see him in play in Austin his Senior year - yep, the year they won the BCS Championship. Oh what a great year for the Longhorns!!! Such great chemistry he and Colt had. Shear athletic talent.
Christy Torres we didn’t win the BCS championship his senior year 🧐
I used to look up to ths dude in HS. Incredible athlete
Me too
Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley was the greatest Quarterback-Wide Receiver team ever. Period.
TheWoogie2 what 😂😂😂😂
Jordan Shipley made it so dang fun to watch football. He and Colt change the game for me.
Just thrilling sportsmen.
The CMC of that Era
Jordan Shipley is a BEAST. I have so many great memories of watching that man play at Texas.
nice video thanks for makin it Shipley will always be remembered he was my favorite college player and now my favorite NFL player
Very inspiring guy. All he has overcome, etc.
His speed is quite amazing and his ability to cut is tremendous. And now he has the UT record for most yards receiving in a single game, 273.
I hope Texans or Dallas can draft or trade for him.
As kid from burnet Jordan has kinda always been my idol
5:03 absolutely filthy
The Red Rivalry game is on right now and every time I watch Texas I think about Shipley dude is hands down one of my favorite college players of all time.
Still the best highlight tape ive ever seen!! J ship was a doggg!!!
Colt could absolutely spin it. My gosh
Love this pick by the Bengals. He should be able to contribute right away. Along with Gresham and Bryant they should be back to being a top 5 passing team.

Boomer!
Favorite longhorn till this day
The only WR I've ever played as on a madden franchise and I'm a LSU fan. He just always looked like a solid weapon. Like a Jordy Nelson.
shipley is one of the best recivers in college football!!!!!!
Wonderful slot receiver in the NFL. Ideal in fact, a la Welker, Collie. A real weapon. Especially one and one with Ocho and TO drawing coverage.
He was a decade too early for the NFL
Just met him at my job what a great character he is!!!!
im not sure about top end speed, but he has got some damn good explosion thats for sure and i also think he is a damn good route runner. i hope he has an awesoe year
I hear younger brother is even more raw cant wait to see him play.
this kid is flat out amazing
Shipley=Shipley, i dont think anybody can argue with that one

Best receiver/runner combination in college football at the time
Jordan Shikpley and Quan Cosby BEST Longhorn Wide Recievers EVER
Ahhh the good ole days...
Hell yeah " shipleys believe it or not"!!

Jordan Shipley is a beast
He is a real inspiration to all those white wide receivers out there.
Love the catch at 5:42 :)
shipley lighting up aggies, i like it
damn one of the best route runners
was very fun to watch
I idolize shipley thank you so much for this vid
Nice video. I think he made a few DBs break an ankle. Glad to have him on the bengals.
this all i have to say for this man........2 raw
actually they mentioned it in one of the football games
Watched him since is Junior year! Hook'em!
Thank god for that 6th year of eligibility. Shipley, Malcolm Williams and Montre Webber next year at WR. BCS title on its way.
I'm a Bengals fan and he had problems with injuries and drops after his rookie season, so we released him. I'm not sure he's fully recovered from his ACL injury.
there should be more highlights from this previous season, when he was pretty
much he best and most consisent wr in the country
That double move he used at 1:06 I used some1 he fell hard as fuck
he's the best WR in college so if there is anyone good enough for the NFL its him
One of the best to put on that burnt orange
colts dad and jordans dad were roomates in college where they too played football
Carson gonna love you bro... who dey, you final get to play with a heisman winner...
5:05 now thats what you call and ankle breaking juke
He went from an enemy in the feista bowl to a sick bengals team. If we can sign T.O today a superbowl should already be in our hands. Our WR's are so sick. My buckeyes did a decent job at shutting down Shipley though.
Just passing through
Great video, great player
lots of concentration! and make sure you catch it even if you think you are going to be out of bounds!
that boy go HARD
Who Dey!!! He's coming to Cincinnati!!!
Can't wait for him to get healthy! Who Dey!
The best white wide reciver

It's the full version of the song. Only some websites give you the full version.

route god
Hes gonna win the heisman this year if he keeps it up.
The move he makes at 4:35 is SIIIIICK
@therealallpro ya same here man. But they got dez so good deal for them. going to the bengals is alright for him, but he probably wont have a great rookie season... The bengals got Ochocinco and Bryant as the top recivers, then im guessing matt jones gets the 3rd reciever spot, which gives shipley maybe the 4th spot.
@TheDanny655
Welker, Edelman and Shipley? It would look like one of them old Benny Hill skits where everything's double speed!
The move he puts on that Tech corner at
1:16 is so nasty!!!
1:09 Quan Cosby killed that OU defender
and he's back for one last season
thank god and hook 'em
Have you watched any Chris Whaley highlights?
He might be the solution to our running game.
btw-nice vid.
Ran a 4.57 and 4.60 at the combine. Small + slow = lucky to get drafted at all in the NFL (just ask Wes Welker). Needed more from his senior year...
@lilrasa Did you see the highlight above where he got at least 35 yards after a catch for a touchdown against OK?
Ok i'm not talking about explosive plays or 50 yard bombs. I'm saying that he will be super productive if he's utilized as a slot receiver. I'm skeptical on Dez Bryant and would be more than tempted to take him in the first round if i'm a GM. Well this Requiem for a Dream makes it pretty intense you gotta admit.
what a beast. Too bad nobody can figure out Texas this year (coming from a mizzou fan)
Shipley is a BEAST! Hook Em!
Bad ass blind side hit in 1:06

i watched the actual game showed at @5:07, he torn his ACL and made my day.
All I want for Xmas is Shipley.
Decker suffered a season ending injury early in the game against OSU. Imagine the stats that Decker would put up had he played in Texas' offense. They would crush Shipley's.
Yeah well didn’t happen. Enjoy seeing Shipley’s stat line instead
yeah thats weakness to, hes underated!
@playray91 yea, all that talk about the corner from bama, arenas and look what shipley did, he burnt him every time, he just didnt have colt to throw it though
at 5:07 the dude broke his ankle.. shipley is unstoppable
@playray91 shipley flat out carried us in the national championship i have never seen a reciever take over like he did look at the stats greatest reciever in ut history hands down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
beast
Pretty nice route runner if you ask me lel
6'0 195 too small? Maclin 6'0 198 Desean Jackson 5'10 175, Ted Ginn Jr 180 pounds 5''11. Reggie Wayne 6'0 198. Usually you pick a different position.hes definetly one of the top 5 wide receivers to come out in 2010
Watch his kick return against OU, he's got plenty of top end speed. He's one of the 5 fastest players on the team for sure.
and as the old saying goes, "if you can't beat 'em, burn 'em!" lol i'm kidding. i'm rooting for the longhorns this year. i'm a huge fan of Colt McCoy. i've followed him since he was a freshman and he continues to impress me and not simply because he's a great college qb, but because of his character(being of strong religious background) and integrity on and off the field. so go longhorns!!! hopefully everyone above usc will lose a game or 2(except UT of course) so the trojans can get a rematch!
