    I think that is cheap , I was expecting 700
    I had my discs and pads replaced on all 4 wheels and that was 4600
    So take that as a win cause when the proper bills come in might need to take a chair so you can sit down before being told the bill!!
    Welcome to the world of Aston Martin

      I owned a C Class coupe a few years back had a puncture that required a replacement tyre I mistakenly let my local tyre centre order and replace the tyre. All was OK for a few months then the car started to vibrate under breaking, I took it to my local Mercedes dealership who diagnosed the fault as a warped front disc caused by the over torquing of the front tyre £499.00 bill advised to replace both discs.
      I now own a AMG CLA 35 and would only take it to a main Mercedes dealership.

    Always get servicing and mechanical stuff done at the official dealership, but you can save $$$ by getting tyres fitted by a tyre specialist, they even come to your home

    Bought my Vantage from there. When I picked it up was given a tour of the workshop. One11 was getting serviced, a Vantage from Nigeria that gets shipped back for each service as well. They did look after me for 1st period of ownership before I moved further away. That was 9 years ago and still have the car.

    I’m sorry - but on the public road you really do not need to change the the tyres in pairs. You are not in an F1 car on a track! Get real please…. BTW I’m an owner of 33 Ferrari and previously owned and raced an F1 Car!

    A dealership for a tyre, 😂😂 There are plenty of proper tyre fitters that specialise in big expensive wheels, take pride in their work, and are fully insured.. Aston martin dont employ specialist tyre fitters, and you're just another aston to them.. and then there is the price, crazy.

      @@disclosed2229 I’m just taking one for the team to make interesting content :) You are right though there are many great specialists. Next tyre we will go to a specialist and film it. We can compare the experience, cost and work ☺️

      @ABAUTOAMG I'm sure you will have a better experience, I run 20 inch PZ4's aswell, Did aston take the time to balance so that all the weights are all behind spokes? Just one advantage of a specialist that takes pride.

      Luckily Aston Martin works is quite a historical place. It was the original Aston Martin factory and is the only dealership owned by Aston Martin in the country while others are owned by the big groups. Having seen how many main dealers are more of a conveyor belt they definitely take more care here. The experience is so different to the usual experience I’ve had in the past with dealers. They gave me a little tour of the site too when I bought my car, they still have a lot of the factory equipment so they even build custom old James Bond cars with the added gadgets for collectors. Such a great place to be honest. I have no doubts they balanced the wheel correctly. I trust in their work. I’m happy to take my car there but also happy to support local skilled independents. I recently had the tyres done on my SUV with an independent and he was great. Il continue to support Aston Martin and the independents. The fact Aston Martin still make a V12 car makes me happy to support them!

    Hi. I always buy my tyres online and the price of the tyres includes fitting,balancing, and tyre disposal. There again i can see where your coming from as if the wheel was damaged when having the tyres changed you’re in a strong position of getting it put right when dealing with the main agents. Looking 👀 on the bright side look at all the free coffee and internet 🛜 you received 😂. Enjoy your car as it’s certainly something special 👍

      I always like to be transparent and 100% honest in the comments here. The truth is going to Aston Martin to get this done meant I could make this video which I thought would be a nice addition to my ownership journey :) From a financial view the video ad revenue should hopefully cover the cost of the tyre or the difference I paid going to Aston Martin. If not that’s ok, I’d rather make some good content for everyone :)

      Hey, thanks for the sub! A 10 year old AMG is still great to buy you could get an amazing car for the money. You need to make sure to check the car over though as some will be great while some can be bad if not looked after. Most important thing is service history, if it’s missed any of its services that’s a big red flag. Also keep in mind of the maintence and running costs as they can catch you out if you buy used car on a smaller budget.

  • @dyu9210

    Totally agree , normal tyre fitters wil risk damage to your alloy either the outer edge or the air gun will scratch the surface where the bolts go in. Best to pay premium to protect the alloys with main dealer.

    • @ABAUTOAMG
      @ABAUTOAMG  9 дней назад

      I suspected that too so I checked through all my CCTV and found nothing. Hopefully it was just bad luck and the screw happened to still have a washer on it when it fell from something. I even checked to make sure non of the screws were missing under the car around the wheel.

    • @ABAUTOAMG
      @ABAUTOAMG  8 дней назад +1

      Yep they charge a lot more as we discovered in the video. The last time I got tyres from black circles fitted though 3 of my alloys were damaged by the fitter despite 5 star reviews which I know was probably really unlucky but I’d rather pay more knowing it’s going to be done properly on this car since it’s much more expensive. There’s also stories of tyres being over torqued, damaging discs over time that could lead to huge bills. Did I pay much more than I should have? 100% yes but I’d rather have the peace of mind knowing it was done properly.
