I believe there’s a balance with arrow weight, with my setup I’m at 480 grains. And I will say shooting a heavier arrow is quieter then a lighter arrow. Just look at most traditional bows, very quiet with their heavier arrow set ups. Everyone has a opinion, but at the end of the day just use what works for you 👍
Exactly. It comes down to knowing your gear. I shoot a 530 grain arrow. Hits like a hammer and whisper quiet. I know how that arrow shoots inside and out from my bow. I know it, I like it and I prefer it. It is hardly a "new fad". Dr. Ashby has been studying arrow flight and penetration for many years.

Love this channel. Been watching for a while and the information I get has been invaluable and has helped me tremendously. One comment on suburban deer and being able to place your stand anywhere because they are used to human sent. I hunt in a suburban area with neighborhoods bordering most of the property. Yes they are used to human sent but I have found that deer at least in my area seem to know where they should be smelling that sent and how strong it should be in that area. Any different and they're gone. Always hunt the correct wind for whitetails no matter where you are. Again, love the info
Thanks for this topic and the one a couple days ago about food plot problems. As with any topic, it's easy to get caught up in what we should do and forget to stop and think about what we shouldn't be doing in order to be successful.
Jeff you preach the same lessons but in a different sermon. I never get tired of your videos and I always catch something I missed in a different video. I appreciate your effort to effort to help educate us and to make me a better hunter. I will post a picture of the deer I harvest this fall , I just hope you get a chance to see it. I have to think that you don't have time to go through all your comments.
Thanks to your videos, I’ve learned about reading the data cards on seed bags. This one particular “ TV hunting couple” that’s sells food plot seeds, contained 47% inert matter. Half the freaking bag, and I don’t believe the seed was inoculated. It also had a substantial amount of rye grass seed. Thanks for saving me the $$.
I know nothing about the brand you're talking about, but I do know that mixing seed with inert matter is a technique that is often used to promote proper distribution of seeds. For instance, gardeners often mix sand with carrot or lettuce seeds because without it they sow the seeds so thickly that the crop can't thrive. Not saying that's the case here, but it could be.
Great videos Jeff. I'm really hoping after spending the day watching and liking your videos my hunting skill will be improved. It's only my second year hunting. Just bought my first 32 acres in Bruce WI. And half swamp half forest. Still haven't gotten anything yet. But high hopes now with all the knowledge I've learned just today. Time to take. Off next week and try a little harder. Thanks a million.
Hey I have learned a ton from watching your videos. But I will say I have heard several very sound fair arguments that show glyphosate is probably a problem and is only used bc it equals more dollars at the end of the day rather than bc it’s not causing any health issues. But hey I still appreciate what you do and I really enjoy learning from you and a few others with decades of experience.
I'm a new hunter and have been watching you. Where else Should I get information on how to hunt? I never grow up with anyone to teach me, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can.
Man I wish your class wasn't so much but reading the books and watching every video I can. I'm in Texas so not sure how much will translate. I need to get this property jumping
I really keyed on the scent block systems and techniques you talked about. Within the past 6 or 7 years I’ve got heavy into predator hunting. And it doesn’t matter if you have a full Scent Lok suit on with Scent killer sprayed all over you. If a coyote gets down wind of you, he smells you. You’re not fooling his/her nose. So i said to myself, if they can smell me, i know a deer can. Especially and old wise one I’m after. In my opinion the predator hunting tactics I’ve learned the hard way on have elevated my deer hunting. If you want to see how good a hunter you are, go hunt a predator/another hunter. Thanks for the quality info, Jeff.
When it comes too trying too trick a bucks nose, what is your opinion on traditional wood smoked clothes. Some old timers put their clothes in the smokehouse literally. I'm thinking carbon is one of the best odor neautralizers so perhaps it works. Have you had any experience with this. I also heard a good tip from old hunters. Hunt deer like they have guns. Thanks for the videos.
@@Pacotheburbanhunter I agree. It really made me think. Exposed all my bad habits. I sure wouldn't diddle on my phone, diddle in my hunting pack for a snack and I would for sure move more quietly too my stand. I'm going too employ it. @@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 I can see where it could be useful all year. We just had a windy/storm front come through. I’ll be keeping an eye on my mock scrapes/licking branches for activity now the storm is gone.
Great video. Between deer shaming on social media (give it another year line gets old) ....the constant ads for BS equipment....this was a refreshing video. My father passed away in june and we were going through his lifetime of hunting pics....some had my grandfather and greatgrandfather.....the recurring theme was that it wasnt always a HUGE buck they posed with....they wore red and black coats and blue jeans. there was No scent free stuff....no range finders or all the all newer things we all use these days. Not to say I dont own it all.....i do. But at 52 I fall prey to the advertisers telling me to get an extra step on the deer. Bought a HECS suit last year......doesnt work.
I agree with everything you have said with the exception of heavy arrows. Do I think for whitetails you need a 700gr. arrow weight? No, but I can tell you I jumped my arrow weight from 393 to 527 grains and my bow is so much quieter, my arrows are more stable in flight and since most of my setups are so I have a shot at 25 to 30 yards or less, the slight drop or greater arc in trajectory really means nothing. The best part, I can keep using my heavy duty COC broadhead over and over and over again. So I may pay a little more up front, but I don't have to throw it away the minute I shoot anything with it.
You just need to shoot a quality bow. Some bows actually need heavy arrows to quiet then down and to absorb stored energy...some don't. Some are quiet with heavy arrows or more.balanced arrows. With 700 grains you are dumbing down your equipment and ability to kill a whitetail, and the smartest people in the industry agree with that...bow engineers, the best pro shops, and the most experienced hunters. As a large majority. This is more a fad played on the inexperienced and its kind of sad for hunters and whitetails alike. It's never about jumping the string either...I don't believe archery equipment...even crossbows, can do that. It's about trajectory loss and not having the perfect balance of trajectory and penetration. Heavy arrows kill trajectory and kill bowhunters abilities to shoot moderate distances (even short) within acceptable margins of range estimation error. Again tho, it doesn't make a quality bow quieter because on quality bows, a very high % of stored energy transfers to the arrow. Old bows, low quality bows and 20 yard shots...it wouldn't matter if you were chucking a spear. But if you want to stretch your limits out to 30 yards+...a heavy arrow will kill your potential level of success.
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 You're making a huge assumption Jeff, that I have an older or low quality bow? Actually, I own several new or newer bows. My main hunting bow is a Darton Spectra E. My backup is a Matthews Chill R. Both have 6" or just over a 6" brace height with similar IBO speed ratings 345 and 342 respectively. You're also making the assumption that I'm a newbie. I'm older than you and have been bowhunting since 1984. I also have a 2021 PSE Xpedite NXT which I haven't setup yet but that is PSE's premium speed bow and so I don't believe bow efficiency is the issue here. I believe you should do some research with the Ashby Foundation and because I have three daughters that would like to bowhunt, but are smaller of stature, they have have a shorter DL, and so therefore much like trad archers, they will have to rely on heavier arrows and super strong coc broadheads to effectively take game. They could buy the latest and greatest "quality bow" but at a 24 "or 25" draw length, bow speed is the last thing they should be thinking about and is the last thing you should be trying to convince people to shoot. Sorry Jeff but that's where we differ. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
Always love the channel, but I'm an avid bowhunter in Indiana and we don't have ridges or swamps. Just a lot of flat ag land on all sides of my 50 acre woods. Kind of tough to keep them from coming in behind me. Any suggestions?
I understand both sides of the heavy vs light arrow debates. I feel if you are strictly hunting in situations where you are only going to shoot distances less than 30 yards than the heavier setup is obviously the best option. But if you are hunting areas like I do where I may encounter shots that may be 50 yards plus, then the lighter more balanced arrow is obviously the best option.
I like my balanced set up. I have a VXR shooting idk 60 some pounds and my arrows fly flat enough to be in the kill zone from 0-40 yards by holding my single pin sight in the same spot. Point of aim, point of impact for the most part.
As a stalking Hunter I can't agree with you more. I think the only reason I tend to have luck is I go out, look for patterns and tracks and such, then just stick to two basics, sun at your back and stay out of the wind
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 it really is amazing if you just allow yourself to live by these principles how much you can change things in just a short time. It's been about a year since I started watching your channel and applying your way to the woods around me can't wait for fall I know it's gonna be a good year
Keep the info coming. I appreciate the honesty about the bs out there. Using Northwoods plot seed and amazed by the germination rate. I've tried every brand out there and wow with John's seed. Thanks for keeping it real and helping hunters be better.
Heavy arrows is subjective. I watch and learn from your videos routinely and have become a better hunter because of it. I agree that shooting 600 plus grains is getting pretty sketchy, but I shoot exactly 62 lbs with 28” draw and I can tell you that my land will only allow a 30 -35 yard shot max here in the thumb of Michigan. My 386 grain setup last year with rage mechanicals went completely sideways because God forbid I hit the shoulder. Mechanicals are just not sharp period. I’ve killed several bucks and doe with them but I’ve learned without a perfectly placed shot, my light, fast setup was terrible. I don’t know why I need to defend myself for going with higher grain weight and bumping up my FOC givin my actual hunting conditions. My arrows are noticeable slower at 40 and also noticeable quieter. Much more important is that my arrows are darts now. They hit the target straight unlike my light, underspined maxima 250s from Carbon Express. Fine arrows, but Deceptively under spined. You shoot 62lb also with a similar draw correct? A 400 spine is way too weak hence arrow flight is inconsistent at best. I believe we all need to practice, practice, practice! When my 550 grains are hitting exactly what I aim at with more consistent groupings then ever before, it’s hard for me to swallow that “ It’s a Lie”. I also learned that fixed, quality broadheads are far superior to mechanicals. Shoot one shoulder blade on a Michigan Whitetail with a mechanical without a bit of weight behind it and I believe you would agree. We are not perfect, we make mistakes. My arrows will break right through a shoulder if I make that mistake again. Thanks for all that you do Jeff. 👍🏻🏹🦌🇺🇸
Exactly to say heavy arrows are a lie is to say all you need is speed. Probably not necessary to shoot super heavy arrows for white tails but it does and can work just like it works for large game!
I agree with everything here, however I think you miss the mark on “heavy arrows”. There isn’t an “industry” behind it, and the craze took most pro-shops by surprise. The heavy arrow craze is actually a revolt against the industry. People started to notice poor results from the “speed kills” industry. You know, the industry that was selling people on sub-400gr arrows with large cut mechanicals to solve all your flight problems. What the heavy craze has done: 1. Opened people’s eyes on how important bow tuning & arrow flight is 2. Emphasized shot placement & deer anatomy more than any other deer outlet 3. Introduced people to broadhead sharpening who otherwise would’ve still been buying one-and-done mechanicals Between Ranch Fairy and Average Jack Archery, I think most deer hunters will find a great middle ground. I know I have (517gr, COC, 257fps).
@@talisikid1618 you may not be old enough to remember 2000-2015, where “speed kills” ruled but I sure am. It’s the same industry that has a decade of TV “Hunting” shows which so many didn’t get a pass through. Same industry which promoted scent elimination sprays, deer attractant feed powders, ect…all within the confines of a high fenced hunting operation. It’s where the ideology of shooting sub-400gr arrows with mechanicals got imbedded in bow hunting because “you had to beat the deer jumping the string.” The return to heavier arrows isn’t an industry, just a larger dissatisfaction of how light arrows have been performing. No one measured arrows in 80s & 90s and they had pass through results. Those aluminum arrows were heavier. Now we’re straying away from light setups back to more moderate, and shooting more powerful bows at that. It’s an overall win. But yes, there was a ruling speed kills industry and it’s been exposed. It’s why bow manufacturers do everything they can to skew their IBO/ATA ratings upward, to sell speed. Why? Because of the speed kills industry that lived.
Hey Jeff, can you do a video on scent usage. Estrous, buck scents, tarsal glands, drags, etc. ? would love to hear your thoughts on the subject. Thanks for the great content.
I don't care what size it is, I enjoy the hunt . I work all the time, I get about 4 or 5 hours to hunt one day a week and that in the morning if I'm lucky. I usually get a couple deers a year .
Not everyone can do that. Land access, work, family obligations really make that next to impossible for most people. Hunting over food plots is the best some can do. It’s that or nothing.
my 550 is moving 278 fps drop is hardly nothing and its a fact the heavy arrow penetrates better and holds its speed better at longer ranges still love your vids just think your wrong on that
Speed speed speed is the fad! Speed is something bow manufacturers started using to sell the newest Bow every season. Gotta have that newest fastest bow!!
Something to compare. Also speed equals KE and you can drop draw weight. For example a 20fps faster bow can be shot 10 pounds lower in draw weight compared to a bow 20fps slower. HUGE advantage for my aging shoulders. Or anyone who wants to shoot a lower draw weight. Same arrow. Same KE
My 540 grain arrows have more momentum than my light arrows and my pins are closer together when I shoot further distance. Heavier arrows do not lose as much ke at further distance either. I have short draw length so I'm speed challenged to start,so I decided to up my foc a lot. A lot more confident and my arrows fly a lot better with new mathews v3.
Your knowledge is incredible lots of experience under your belt. And alot of common sense bad news for the buck your hunting . Thanks for sharing that with us .
I got a hard question. I have a really nice spot I created where I cleared out garbage brush and trees so that 5 oaks and one crab apple could flourish. I already see deer hitting it more. BIG PROBLEM: I can't really hunt it without the wind at my back. Is there any way to mask my scent with maybe a wall behind me? Or someone suggested a fox hole? Any tips?
Use campfire smoke to cover your scent. I've had a buck walk directly downwind of me and then under my stand, never smelled a thing. The bad side is you will smell like smoke
I agree, you can't always fool em. Scentlok imo does exactly what your spray does in that it reduces odor enough (if used properly) to keep the scent cone smaller they think it's old scent. But do NOT rely on it!! Hunt smart, stay safe good luck everyone!!!
I put a trail cam on a stake 3 feet high and 30 yards from where the deer come out to my open field. One spike was eating right in front of it and a 6 point chased him off, smelled the camera and started eating lol Deer are unpredictable some times.
Thanks again for another great video lots of details in the video men your videos Jeff has so much details on each and every subject great work thank you Jeff
I hunt only from the ground. Afraid of heights.. dropped my poundage to 52 lbs pull 85% let off, shoot 585 grand arrow with 20% foc and it hits hard. I can hold at drawl for 3 minutes and draw very slow and let down in silence. Lowering poundage and upping my lethality of my arrow. But I use a garmin xero so Trajectory is not a factor
Hey Jeff how are you so question for you had a buck on cam on 2 separate days and now he's not showing up I always go scent free and even spray my walking path with dirt scent also use some attractant even did a mock scrape with deer pee in it . What am I doing wrong please help
My father hunted. But I never got the chance to go out with him. Maybe by exposure I got the curiosity but much later in life I decided to do it. With one charitable invitation to go out I was determined thereafter. I now am a “hunter” and after many years am learning I don’t know much and undertook to really learn by reading Jeff’s books watching vids etc. I’ve learned from others on my own and I can say if you want to learn you can do it. Now I’m teaching my son and he has hunted with me. His questions help me think differently and learn even more. Don’t be intimidated, the more hunters the better. Get out there.
Had a conversation with a guy that swore his rope scrape site exceded any vine (your method) because his spray on concoction was the ultimate deer attractant.Wanted to fight when i told him it was "snake juice" to take his money!
I am in the first full year of managing a new property, 98 acres of West Virginia mountain land, and have hung four vines. Almost immediately, deer are in camera licking and rubbing the vines. There are literally a dozen new trails leading to and from those four vines. I started hanging vines a few years ago when I first saw Jeff’s video on making them, and it has proven to me beyond a doubt that they attract deer all year long. No scents, no gimmicks…just a vine that the deer take over naturally. They can have their odors and gimmicks…nothing will compare to the real thing, and the deer know it.
This is my first year of using the vine and making a mock scrape I snuck in about 2 hours ago today to check my mock scrape I definitely have deer keeping it clean and using it can't wait till September the 11th opening day Just hoping the wind and everything is right for the hunt on that lock-on stand thanks Jeff your videos are impressive and great keep up the good work I'll probably buy your food plot class sometime after this hunting season I already have my food plots in just from watching a lot of your videos and incorporating what I've done for years can't wait to try your no till

I do however, find myself losing interest and trying to fast forward at times because you make a point and then repeat that point many many times. I appreciate the explanations but would suggest trying to eliminate the repetitive explanations. Maybe try to limit yourself to a time-frame on each point?
Got sweating walking & hunting one time. Ground blind near bottom of a drainage. Thermals flowing down the hill from me to deer trail 30 yards away. Along came 4-5 does and a old 8pt with 4 stickers. This buck was OLD. Grey muzzle, Belly widest part of body, long, swayback. I'm guessing 10years old (wish I kept Jaw). NEVER WINDED ME. I don't know how.
Awesome video as always can't wait tell opening day 25 days here in North Carolina good luck to you this year
Thank you for the arrow talk, balance is the best you will get the best performance out of a balanced arrow.
It's refreshing to hear honesty
I haven’t been tuning in this summer but I’m starting to get deer fever again!
Good video!! Ozonics is the biggest waste of money on the market. Unreal the amount of people that swear by it.
Love that way of thinking. Hunt deer like they have guns
@@Pacotheburbanhunter I agree. It really made me think. Exposed all my bad habits. I sure wouldn't diddle on my phone, diddle in my hunting pack for a snack and I would for sure move more quietly too my stand. I'm going too employ it. My dad was a Vietnam veteran and great at stalk hunting. Something I never could remotely repeat. I'm beginning to understand why now.
@@joekelly4870 although I did kill a buck after foolin around with my thermacell lol but I have spooked more deer foolin around with my phone and I constantly try to remind myself that I'm there to hunt and not play on the phone especially as much work as I put in on the off season
Few years ago I started watching you, the hunting beast, and the hunting public, I save so much money! I hunt more effective and kill more mature bucks, i use natural sent control “wind”. I am mindful of my approach and changes. And I hunt signs and bedding areas. It works! I read the woods now I tune in! I hunt public land in Florida and lower Alabama people say we don’t have big dear, far from wrong, you have to find them. Using these techniques and not false hopes, it can be done! Thank you for these free helpful videos.
What a great topic.
I'm still practicing shooting sitting down .some how I'm shooting low and left.different when I'm standing.I haven't adjusted my sites yet .I going to try figure out first why the difference.
Thanks for suggesting shooting from sitting position. All the tips and info that I should have learned years ago I'm working on now.thanks to you .you can actually teach an old dog new tricks.
Great vidio as allways
Hello Jeff, what is minimum width plot you can rotate with? If you can’t have a wide plot how do you achieve the foodplot rotation?
I hunt pressured public land in the North east.
Following some of your tips , I've tagged out 2yrs in a row.
That's great Justin!! Love to hear it and congrats 👍
Great advice.
Reading all weather white tails now. Love it.
Thanks Jerry...really appreciate you reading that book and I hope it helps you this Fall!! I even use those techniques for off season scouting 😊
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 I can see where it could be useful all year. We just had a windy/storm front come through. I’ll be keeping an eye on my mock scrapes/licking branches for activity now the storm is gone.
I'm a hunter and a landscaping company and your are 1000% correct about glyphosate
Awesome video, you earned a sub when ya said pics with smiling faces and dead stuff! 😄 🤣 👍💯🇺🇸🇺🇸
Always love the channel, but I'm an avid bowhunter in Indiana and we don't have ridges or swamps. Just a lot of flat ag land on all sides of my 50 acre woods. Kind of tough to keep them from coming in behind me. Any suggestions?
To get better penetration, I use a smaller diameter broad head. A 11/8” cut will lay them down just the same if not better than a 2”.
About the trail camera, that’s so true! I could check mine everyday and I’ll still have deer come up and lick it as if it’s a salt block
Yes I'm using a 125 grain broadhead with a good old gold tip arrow works great for deer and turkey
Sounds perfect Denny!!
Jeff I have not ever got a buck in my short time hunting however I would only try to be very selective about the buck I am after.
Do you have any tips on good types of broadheads and arrows cause I use bloodsport arrows and toxic broadheads
I have a question for you. When I set down and shoot out of a stand do I still bend at the hip or no? I have missed to deer in the last 2 days
Could you possibly do a general hunting strategy video (bullet points for your average hunter) for hunting big public land areas?
How do you keep the deer from eating the food plot sprouts? I don't plant because the deer eat the sprouts right away.
What the heavy craze has done:
1. Opened people’s eyes on how important bow tuning & arrow flight is
2. Emphasized shot placement & deer anatomy more than any other deer outlet
3. Introduced people to broadhead sharpening who otherwise would’ve still been buying one-and-done mechanicals
Between Ranch Fairy and Average Jack Archery, I think most deer hunters will find a great middle ground. I know I have (517gr, COC, 257fps).
No. There’s no speed kills industry. There is a heavy weight kills industry. This guy got it right.
It’s where the ideology of shooting sub-400gr arrows with mechanicals got imbedded in bow hunting because “you had to beat the deer jumping the string.”
The return to heavier arrows isn’t an industry, just a larger dissatisfaction of how light arrows have been performing.
Can I add glysophate and plot start at the same time or should I wait?
Hi Dale! Not in the same tank, combines. However, I spray Gly and then plot start often.
Hunted my 20 acre parcel for seven years and never even saw deer in day light. Until I started using your strategy.
Dan, most importantly you are seeing success! Really happy for you and I hope that you have a great rest of the season 😊
Thank u. I’m going to attempt a food plot for next year. I have a small 20 acre land locked parcel with little to no habitat diversity.
I have mixed feelings about my scent loc and getting busted. But it IS very warm and comfortable, so I love there clothing line.
What is the long string hanging off your release?
I gave up on the outdoor channel long ago. All I watch is you, Seek One, and the Hunting Public
Is there a video on finding pinch points. I truly don't know where that might be. Same with funnels.
Like hearing the truth instead of all this bull about all the products out there. Great video!!!
Where can I get that WHS hat?
Hey Jeff, can you do a video on scent usage. Estrous, buck scents, tarsal glands, drags, etc. ?
would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
Thanks for the great content.
I don't care what size it is, I enjoy the hunt . I work all the time, I get about 4 or 5 hours to hunt one day a week and that in the morning if I'm lucky. I usually get a couple deers a year .
Not everyone can do that. Land access, work, family obligations really make that next to impossible for most people. Hunting over food plots is the best some can do. It’s that or nothing.
@@talisikid1618 that's right , not everyone can do that !,
my 550 is moving 278 fps drop is hardly nothing and its a fact the heavy arrow penetrates better and holds its speed better at longer ranges still love your vids just think your wrong on that
I shoot 70lbs with 18 percent f.o.c and a 528gn set up. On that note what's your feelings on f.o.c ?
Speed speed speed is the fad! Speed is something bow manufacturers started using to sell the newest Bow every season. Gotta have that newest fastest bow!!
Something to compare. Also speed equals KE and you can drop draw weight. For example a 20fps faster bow can be shot 10 pounds lower in draw weight compared to a bow 20fps slower. HUGE advantage for my aging shoulders. Or anyone who wants to shoot a lower draw weight. Same arrow. Same KE
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 well speed x mass = KE not just speed
I'm not trying to always argue with you buddy I agree with 95% of what you're said 🖒
100 % correct, so much so that EVERY archery manufacturer lies about it except PSE, and I hate PSE bows LOL
An old farmer told me once.”Ya can’t grow corn under water”..Had to reseed brassicas yesterday.Got rain last night.
Great you got rain so fast D!!
Love that quote btw 😊👍
Can u make a video on tips for ground blinds tips how u would use them on public property
Great video Jeff! Most sound advice I have heard in a long time!
I put a trail cam on a stake 3 feet high and 30 yards from where the deer come out to my open field.
One spike was eating right in front of it and a 6 point chased him off, smelled the camera and started eating lol
Deer are unpredictable some times.
Only thing I do is #1 watch wind direction #2 temperature #3 pinch points.
Thanks again for another great video lots of details in the video men your videos Jeff has so much details on each and every subject great work thank you Jeff
I love this channel such a good place to get helpful advice
I hunt only from the ground. Afraid of heights.. dropped my poundage to 52 lbs pull 85% let off, shoot 585 grand arrow with 20% foc and it hits hard. I can hold at drawl for 3 minutes and draw very slow and let down in silence. Lowering poundage and upping my lethality of my arrow. But I use a garmin xero so Trajectory is not a factor
Thanks, as always, for providing such excellent advice. I always enjoy your videos.
Hey Jeff how are you so question for you had a buck on cam on 2 separate days and now he's not showing up I always go scent free and even spray my walking path with dirt scent also use some attractant even did a mock scrape with deer pee in it . What am I doing wrong please help
What type of scent do you use on your hanging stick??
I shoot a recurve, and all my shots are within 15 yards. Arrow weight is right around 500 at 50lb draw. Im not good enough to shoot at deer past that
Any good tips to quiet your bow?
Showed my buddy Jeff's pee in scrap trick. He's shoot bucks there 2 years In a row now.
I really like the info you provide in your videos. Ton of great content and I highly appreciate you sharing the wealth of knowledge so please don't take this as a negative comment. That isn't my intention...just trying to provide some outside advise from someone that found your channel a few days ago. I'm binge watching them now. I do however, find myself losing interest and trying to fast forward at times because you make a point and then repeat that point many many times. I appreciate the explanations but would suggest trying to eliminate the repetitive explanations. Maybe try to limit yourself to a time-frame on each point?
love the video, scent is such a huge factor
I would love to hear your thoughts on roller crimpers. In some of your footage it looks like you've been trialing one.
its not about weight of arrow its about foc
Not even that...
I did have some cover scent wafers out , but no spray nothing. High temps about 70-75 with me hiking around. No absolutes when come to deer...
Jeff, do you use any kind of a scent when you create your mock scraps?
