You just saved me some bucks. I had to change the batteries in the receiver. I thought the remote wasn’t working then until you mentioned the “remote” setting on the receiver. I had it on either on or off. After moving it to remote I’m back in business. Thank you!
Fantastic video! Thank you! Everything worked as you described. The only difficulty I had was removing the back of the receiver. Once I was able to remove the back, I found generic batteries. Replaced the batteries and voila! Fixed. Thank you again!
THANK YOU!!!! The fireplace people wanted to charge us $395. PREPAID to fix our remote. All it needed was batteries but the most helpful part was learning how to push that tiny button and then hitting a button on the remote. Thanks so much. You are my hero.
The receiving unit usually comes with a metal housing that protects the unit from the heat, so that it can be put inside the fireplace. Good video, thanks.
When I press my “learn” button on my receiver I hear the single beep. But when I press the “on” on my remote I don’t get the multi beep from the receiver you got in the video. I see the red LED on my remote light up. I’m not sure what’s up.
My remote lights up and put all new batteries in reciver and remote but won’t work with remote but if I turn the switch to on the fireplace comes on what can I check
I changed the batteries in the receiver. I successfully synced the two. However, when I push the "On" button, the receiver makes a beep, but the gas doesn't turn on. Pilot light is lit. Turns on manually. The receiver only beeps, but nothing happens. Any thoughts?
Look up the video on how to clean the temperature metal piece. Just a light sanding with sandpaper on the metal pin. It gets corroded and is a failsafe feature. Worked great for us.
I finally figured mine out today!! So, while the pilot light was lit, it would only turn on manually. I figured out today that by pushing the pilot knob in about halfway and turning again, it finally went all the way to "On." Tried the remote and it worked immediately!! I feel so stupid now... 🤣🤣
Where is the receiver located at. We had very cold weather last year & did not know that we could add a battery to the fireplace. The remote was working before we knew anything about placing a battery inside. Cannot figure out now why remote will not turn fireplace on. I get the red signal on the remote.
Good video. A few weeks ago, I started noticing a problem starting my G45 burner system. It has worked flawlessly for almost three years. When trying to light the burner, it would start "clicking" several times while the valve was trying to turn. It seemed to be stuck and not opening all the way for ignition. I changed the batteries in both the remote and receiver and checked to be sure nothing (gravel, etc.) was keeping the valve from opening all the way. Here's the deal, once the system does light, it seems to be fine for the rest of the evening. Next day: same problem - "click, click, click ..." - no ignition. It's not the batteries. It's not debris keeping the valve from turning. Any help is appreciated!
My Real Fyre G45 has this exact same issue. It is as if there is not enough force driven by the remote to get the valve past the on/off click point. If you manually turn the valve past that point, the remote can get the valve to fully open and also to close. But like you, when I attempt to first use the remote to turn on the fireplace, I get that clicking and the valve seems like it can't get past the on/off click point. Did you ever find a solution?
You just need to unscrew it, remove the panel and then replace the batteries. Then make sure switch is on remote...press the learn button...after the beep press your remote within 20 seconds of the learn button beep.

So pleased we got you up and running again :)
My remote works but the E5 keeps popping up

Awesome video! Had my remote back up and running in under a minute.
I’m not hearing the beep at all when I press the “learn” button. All batteries are brand new. Why no beep?
Thank your for the clear and easy to understand explanation on this process!
Excellent demonstration. Good to know the four AA Batteries can also be the problem. Thanks so much. God Bless

Did you get it to work, I’m having the same problem. Thanks

Same here. The remote wont connect@@kevinvreken6459
Thanks for the tutorial. Batteries in the receiver did the trick!
Thank you very much! That tutorial was perfect and I fixed my remote using your steps.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I was about to GIVE UP!!
Thank you! This definetly saved me money for sure! 😊
Excellent presentation. Thanks!
What should i do if I hit the “learn” button and it doesn’t beep?
Great video, this helped us. Thank you!
Thank you so much, this worked perfectly!
Very helpful! saved us a service call
Great tutorial. What’s the next step if you don’t hear the beep when pressing the learn button? Thanks
Thank you.
How should the dipswitch be? Which switches should be up or down on the unit?
Perfect, thank you 😊
I do not find a receiver anywhere. Is there a chance I can buy another receiver if needed?
Thanks so much, this is perfect!

Same problem here
Me too got a pilot after changing remote box ... But the gas logs won't light .. I hear nothing

I have no corrosion good batteries and it beeps at everything. Yet the flame will not go on or off or thermostat controlled....

Also in the “remote” setting.
Thank you but where is the receiver?
For us, the receiver was behind the panel...like the cover on the wall that look like the ones for light switches.
You just need to unscrew it, remove the panel and then replace the batteries. Then make sure switch is on remote...press the learn button...after the beep press your remote within 20 seconds of the learn button beep.
Mine has fresh batteries in both. When I sync them it works once then nothing. If I press the button or flick the switch 10-15 times it works POS
It worked!
my reciever box keeps blinking red about 3-4 times
This is the worst product ever, who thought it was a good idea to not just have an electrician install a line and switch
