You are a little younger than my mom and you are inspiring me to start my own journey I want to lose more than 50 pounds and it seems impossible with my current responsibilities so you are making it seem doable Thank you again
I am so happy for you. I am 69 and decided enough was enough. I am tired of being fat. I stopped fast food. I lost 3 lbs. My highest was 200. I began walking I have a fit bit. 5000 steps. Quarantine scared me so in April I went to 8000 steps. I lost 5 more lbs. For diet I am tracking and eating 1200 -1300 per day. As of June 1st I am at 181. I am now up to 10,000 steps I walk everyday. I have now stop losing. I intermittent fast. The struggle is so real...I will not give up.

I think I say it almost every time I comment, but I will say it again. You are a genuine joy to watch! Even my girls ages, 21, 20, 17, 16, 15, and 12.5 enjoy listening to you! (Yes, there are six of them. I have a boy too. He is the oldest.) I joined WW on Feb 8 of this year and am really enjoying it. It's been a bit of a learning curve. I am on Purple 16 as well. The first week or so, I wasn't even getting my 16 points, lol! Now I do much better. The weight IS coming off. Slower than I had hoped, but that is healthier anyway. The pandemic has us out walking daily, so that is helpful too. That is so awesome that you lost 5lb!! in one week! I am going to have to see if I can find that butter spray. I LOVE popcorn, but with salt and butter and if I can get that with the spray, I say woo hoo! Maybe I can have more self-control and stay away from the salt and vinegar chips. It is so hard when you have a family at home that can eat virtually anything! Love that you were honest about your boo boos. :o) Cheering you on from Ontario, Canada!
I am enjoying your videos 😊 for anyone interested, you can put plain popcorn kernels in a paper lunch bag, fold the end twice, sealing it, and put it in the microwave... That's how I do mine 😉
hi...I lost 40 lbs on WW..then stood still up & down a little for a long time..basically maintenance. .not by choice..a couple of months ago I decided I needed a change...I am on the blue plan...So I combined Intermittent fasting which was the BEST thing I ever did! it took away all my cravings and I get full very quickly! I am down 15 lbs in the past 8 weeks! total 55 lbs! I have another 40 to go and have no fear that I won't get there. I also now only get on the scale every other week and the best thing this did for me is that I never think of food! I am so excited ....Good luck on your journey..P.S I am 70!
I am 57 and just started the WW Purple Online Plan. I bought a new scale that tells you the percentage of body fat and also your metabolic age and it told me my metabolic age was 62 years old! I want to lose 50 pounds but my short term goal is 20 pounds. Your videos are very helpful and I try to watch 1 or 2 a day as motivation. When you showed the pizza your family was having I thought to myself I would have to take a drive when they eat that and have them text me when it's gone and the box is in the trash. I love pizza! Also, like you I love coffee with lots of cream. Bad habits I am working on.
About the popcorn, this is what I do. 1/4 cup popcorn kernels in a brown paper lunch bag and microwave for about 2 minutes and 15 seconds and salt to taste with the butter spray.

You did excellent! I joined WW in 2017, and lost 53# over the next 15 months, and got to my goal by Sept 2018. Then I met my new husband on eHarmony, and we started dating--going to countless restaurants. We married in 2019. By Spring 2020, I had gained 20+ pounds! Now I'm on my way down again. I am drinking 60 ounces of water a day. Isolation has helped me lose weight by not going to restaurants for greasy, salty foods. I am going to keep close track of my points for a week and expect to lose 2#. When I was lighter on my feet, I was much lighter-hearted and the world was a sunny place.

As I have commented before I am at a standstill with my weight loss. I follow WW recipes most of the time even though I am on a diabetic/carb restricted program, I adjust for the carbs accordingly. One hurtle is the eggs, which my system does not tolerate anymore. Breakfast is some leftover meat with veggies sautéed with cooking spray. The other is artificial sweetener, my palate does not tolerate that either. Strike 2. I also use fat free 1/2 & 1/2 in my coffee which is an absolute must, thank you for being there with me. This was a great chat and am getting back on track counting points again. My nighttime snack is usually an apple cut in wedges, microwaved with cinnamon. Sounds corny but it is hot apple pie to me🤗 You are such an inspiration and bless you for being there.😍

I love watching your videos. You are inspiring me! I was on Weight Watchers 40 years ago. That is when we went to meetings, counted our points from a little book & I got down to my desired weight. I gained 50 lbs during the next 33 years, so 8 years ago I went back to doing weight watchers on my own - not going to meetings, just keeping track of points from the book. (Wake up call, I got breast cancer & my doctor encouraged me to lose weight) I lost the 50 lbs & have kept it off until last year I put 15 lbs back on so I went on it again a few weeks ago & just about have it off but want to lose about 5-10 lbs more. I seem to be stuck at 145 lbs & having a hard time getting it off. So I joined WW online & have been watching your videos. I'm having problems with using the WW online. I've asked questions, without getting any response. I know my computer skills aren't great so it may be me not knowing where to look. I'm on the blue plan & I want to know how to figure points, & how do you use the scanner to find points, etc? Can you give me suggestions? Also, on your receipe of turkey chili do you not use any tomato sauce? Thank you

Hey Bobbie, I’m 62, single, and have fought my weight all my life. I have always been or at least felt fat. My knees had gotten so bad, and that motivated me to start something, in May 2019 I started Noom. You are right, I have to keep track, and that is, I think, what’s different. Accountability. I haven’t done as well as you have, but I’ve lost 40+ pounds. I’m saying it that way because my weight goes up a couple of days, and then it will go down again. It vacillates TONS! That’s hard. So I have 40 lbs that I for sure hold on to, but the other about five pounds is up and down daily. If I would walk everyday, you are right, I’d lose more. I live in a city, and I don’t like to walk alone, much, but I NEED to do that! Anyway, thanks for the encouragement! Love you tons! God Bless!

Wow WW has really changed since I did it. It used to be that a point equaled about 50 calories and the free foods were only 0 point veggies. Cheers for doing such a great job.
Love your channel, just found you today!! I signed up for WW after viewing another one of your vids. I too am a "purple." One of my daughters gave a me a helpful hint, if you can wash "it" under the faucet, you're good!

Have you ever heard of “nice cream”? You blend a banana, some cocoa powder, and some milk (whatever kind you like). Not sure the points there, but it can soothe the ice cream craving.
5 pounds ! Congratulations! I think that is awesome ! I also have the same problem at night with the munchies AND I also just bought one of those popcorn poppers too ! I really like it ! I am on WW blue plan and the most I have lost in a week is 2 pounds so I think you are doing amazing ! Lately I have been going up and down myself with weight loss and gain. We stayed with in laws for a few days and they made three different desserts during that visit - PLUS we made s'mores outside ! Oh man I couldn't resist so of course I gained about 2 pounds back ! I did not beat myself up about it, just learned a lesson from it. Keep up the great work ! You are so inspiring to me and I love your channel ! Can't wait to try your meatball recipe !
For someone who has never been a coffee drinker but loved sweet tea both hot and cold I found the only way I could cut the sugar was one teaspoon full at a time. Once I got use to one missing I cut another, now I am down to two teaspoons for a full post which is 6 cups instead of two per cup. Maybe that would work with your half and half. Just cut on teaspoon or even a half and go from their but do it slowly over time. Good luck!

I know this videos a few months old but if you’re not doing it yet I pre portion my bags when I get home from the store, meaning I weigh out my big bags such as your veggie straws, into single serving bags, then write on the bags how many points. I’ve just started ww and this helps me a lot
Hi Bobbie. Tomorrow is the first virtual class for me. It's been an awful week because I have been running up and down the stairs pandering to my husband's every whim. He had a hip replacement done last Monday (9th) and the wound has been bleeding ever since. No way could I stick to plan (blue). Today I felt fat and had a look on my scales. Yes I have gained 400 grams. I am still under goal but I like being 3 kgs under. Well I will join the class in the morning for our virtual class but OMG I tried to do shopping today and all the shelves were empty! I have plenty of coffee but I measure 4 points of semi skimmed milk and put whatever I want into the frother from the measured milk. I am 70 and don't have a big appetite but it's the Magnum ice cream etc that cost the points. I am a vegetarian and have been for 40 years now. I lived in South Africa for 40 years and came back to the UK 8 years ago which is when I gained weight. I have a gold member for well over a year. I am fortunate to have had your videos pop up on RUclips and will keep watching. Keep plodding along.🙄

I am 75 and lost 6.4 lbs in a month. I am on the blue plan. I taught nutrition certificated to teach. I wanted to try WW. I am 5’4” and now 140.6 and want to get down to 120. I am eating 23 points a day but I leave a point or 2 off. I don’t eat more than 1 free food a day.
I loved this video. I'm 64 and today I'm trying to fast. It's 3 pm and I've had black coffee, and water. Now I'm drinking a kombucha. I'm so proud of you for being honest about the boo-boos!
Tip of the day: Splenda is 110 on the glycemic index! What does this mean to you? Cravings! Stevia is only 13 on the Glycemic Index. There’s my tip :) Another tip. White potatoes have twice the carbs as their cousin the yam. Yams are a lot more nutritious too. I’m just a wealth of information aren’t I!?
Sadly, I'm allergic to stevia. I have tried Monk Fruit and it's "ok". Also sadly, I don't like yams (unless they are fried - ugh). I do love your wealth of information though. Thank you!
Love your channel! I think you did an amazing job while going through the beginning of the pandemic. I did weight watchers years ago and loved it. I would make the same mistakes as you made and found that couple days when I would have higher points, I would trick my body/metabolism and the weight would come off. Thanks for being so real ❤️
Congratulations on your perseverance in your weight loss journey! I commend you for using a point method, but thankfully, there are options out there. Three years ago I was informed I was pre-diabetic & the Lord led me to a lifestyle change (not a “diet” which I, personally, couldn’t have sustained forever). I quickly lost 50 lbs., ending at 140 lbs. (I’m 5’6). Found out an error had been made & I wasn’t even pre-diabetic after all! But, it’s what the Lord used to get my attention about my weight. So thankful for options out there & while counting points would have been tiring and unsustainable for me, I was able to find a healthy, lifestyle alternative in eating tons of clean and lean food, high in fiber and delicious!
I’m 33, but I am so enjoying your videos! I am on the WW blue plan and can relate so much to you. I just purchased a microwave popcorn maker and some zero point seasonings by Kernel Season’s. They have everything from salty to sweet so I’m hoping they cure whatever I crave to munch on after dinner, and just wanted to mention them to you in case you’d like to try a new no guilt flavor. Just look for the seasonings and not the drizzles :) Keep it up!
One of the things I have started doing it posting my meals to Pinterest. Similarly to how you feel RUclips holds you accountable, if I’m not posting to my Pinterest, I’ve not been staying on track. It also doubles as a way for me to make a virtual recipe book!

I love coffee too! I bought a Nespresso for my birthday,which is life changing! I use real half n half, and stevia in my coffee. The pods are 1.00 to 1.20 per pod, it makes the most amazing coffee, because it makes a crema , a creamy texture, so u don’t need as much creamer to give u the creaminess.i have used 1 T. For my coffee along with the stevia, I bought the The Nespresso the pkg., which came with a frothier, I have tried low-fat milk, almond milk, and half -n-half, all turn out creamy and luscious.
pear in 100% juice..drained is 0sp. ..you do not scan it....the one unsweetened has artificial sweetner...I have worked for WW and know that for sure...so any fruit in 100% Juice drained should not be scanned. .0sp. ..you did not make mistake unless you drink the juice

Yeah!!! Congratulations. Great willpower and determination. I’m over here eating like every meal is my last one. Stepped ion the scale ...😲. Not good! But today after watching this video I’m going to get a handle on my eating.
Yeah on the 5 lbs lost! One reason you may have been on such a long plateau is because you are eating too many times a day. Every time you eat it cause insulin levels to rise. On average, it takes 6 to 8 hours for insulin levels to drop back down to 0. Your body won't let go of fat if insulin is up. I am 55, and I was counting my calories and walking everyday but was not losing any weight! I watched Dr. Fung videos on fasting, and it has changed my life! I do the 16:8 fast and have lost 32 lbs. You have to stop eating long enough to allow insulin levels to go down so your body will burn fat. Fasting is so easy and kills your appetite. You can continue WW, just compress your meals into a small timeframe.
I would suggest switching to a different plan for a week and see if your portion sizes could be what's doing you in. I've found that eating slightly smaller meals has better results than swapping a 50 calories snack for a 40 calorie snack even if the points on the snack are very different

I don't think there are really veggies in the veggie straw.. Read the list of ingredients... I dont mean to burst your bubble.. Just look..you love them keep eating There are other chips you can have more of for same points ie good thins Im so happy for your wt loss you did great You are an inspiration

I went to green and really enjoying it They all work but it's how it works for each individual. Try the purple for at least 2weeks to give it a good chance.

But none of those foods - well, except the fruits and vegetables, are zero points on my plan, which is the old Points Plus plan, which WW doesn't support anymore. But I'm still able to follow it, using another app. I wish you continued success on your weight loss journey.

I’m 62, single, and have fought my weight all my life. I have always been or at least felt fat. My knees had gotten so bad, and that motivated me to start something, in May 2019 I started Noom. You are right, I have to keep track, and that is, I think, what’s different. Accountability. I haven’t done as well as you have, but I’ve lost 40+ pounds. I’m saying it that way because my weight goes up a couple of days, and then it will go down again. It vacillates TONS! That’s hard. So I have 40 lbs that I for sure hold on to, but the other about five pounds is up and down daily. If I would walk everyday, you are right, I’d lose more. I live in a city, and I don’t like to walk alone, much, but I NEED to do that! Anyway, thanks for the encouragement! Love you tons! God Bless!
40 pounds is amazing! Congratulations, you worked hard for that. Keep going and don’t worry about the five pounds up or down. Maybe don’t weigh yourself so much. That discourages me and sometimes I’ll cheat because of it. Cheering for you! 💕

Wow WW has really changed since I did it. It used to be that a point equaled about 50 calories and the free foods were only 0 point veggies. Cheers for doing such a great job.

Have you ever heard of “nice cream”? You blend a banana, some cocoa powder, and some milk (whatever kind you like). Not sure the points there, but it can soothe the ice cream craving.

5 pounds ! Congratulations! I think that is awesome ! I also have the same problem at night with the munchies AND I also just bought one of those popcorn poppers too ! I really like it ! I am on WW blue plan and the most I have lost in a week is 2 pounds so I think you are doing amazing ! Lately I have been going up and down myself with weight loss and gain. We stayed with in laws for a few days and they made three different desserts during that visit - PLUS we made s'mores outside ! Oh man I couldn't resist so of course I gained about 2 pounds back ! I did not beat myself up about it, just learned a lesson from it. Keep up the great work ! You are so inspiring to me and I love your channel ! Can't wait to try your meatball recipe !
For someone who has never been a coffee drinker but loved sweet tea both hot and cold I found the only way I could cut the sugar was one teaspoon full at a time. Once I got use to one missing I cut another, now I am down to two teaspoons for a full post which is 6 cups instead of two per cup. Maybe that would work with your half and half. Just cut on teaspoon or even a half and go from their but do it slowly over time. Good luck!

I know this videos a few months old but if you’re not doing it yet I pre portion my bags when I get home from the store, meaning I weigh out my big bags such as your veggie straws, into single serving bags, then write on the bags how many points. I’ve just started ww and this helps me a lot

Hi Bobbie. Tomorrow is the first virtual class for me. It's been an awful week because I have been running up and down the stairs pandering to my husband's every whim. He had a hip replacement done last Monday (9th) and the wound has been bleeding ever since. No way could I stick to plan (blue). Today I felt fat and had a look on my scales. Yes I have gained 400 grams. I am still under goal but I like being 3 kgs under. Well I will join the class in the morning for our virtual class but OMG I tried to do shopping today and all the shelves were empty! I have plenty of coffee but I measure 4 points of semi skimmed milk and put whatever I want into the frother from the measured milk. I am 70 and don't have a big appetite but it's the Magnum ice cream etc that cost the points. I am a vegetarian and have been for 40 years now. I lived in South Africa for 40 years and came back to the UK 8 years ago which is when I gained weight. I have a gold member for well over a year. I am fortunate to have had your videos pop up on RUclips and will keep watching. Keep plodding along.🙄

I am 75 and lost 6.4 lbs in a month. I am on the blue plan. I taught nutrition certificated to teach. I wanted to try WW. I am 5’4” and now 140.6 and want to get down to 120. I am eating 23 points a day but I leave a point or 2 off. I don’t eat more than 1 free food a day.
I loved this video. I'm 64 and today I'm trying to fast. It's 3 pm and I've had black coffee, and water. Now I'm drinking a kombucha. I'm so proud of you for being honest about the boo-boos!
I've never fasted, but I'm thinking of trying intermittent fasting.
You are such a fun person and so real that it almost makes me want to count points even though I'm not on WW!
Tip of the day: Splenda is 110 on the glycemic index! What does this mean to you? Cravings! Stevia is only 13 on the Glycemic Index. There’s my tip :) Another tip. White potatoes have twice the carbs as their cousin the yam. Yams are a lot more nutritious too. I’m just a wealth of information aren’t I!?
Sadly, I'm allergic to stevia. I have tried Monk Fruit and it's "ok". Also sadly, I don't like yams (unless they are fried - ugh). I do love your wealth of information though. Thank you!

Love your channel! I think you did an amazing job while going through the beginning of the pandemic. I did weight watchers years ago and loved it. I would make the same mistakes as you made and found that couple days when I would have higher points, I would trick my body/metabolism and the weight would come off. Thanks for being so real ❤️

Congratulations on your perseverance in your weight loss journey! I commend you for using a point method, but thankfully, there are options out there. Three years ago I was informed I was pre-diabetic & the Lord led me to a lifestyle change (not a “diet” which I, personally, couldn’t have sustained forever). I quickly lost 50 lbs., ending at 140 lbs. (I’m 5’6). Found out an error had been made & I wasn’t even pre-diabetic after all! But, it’s what the Lord used to get my attention about my weight. So thankful for options out there & while counting points would have been tiring and unsustainable for me, I was able to find a healthy, lifestyle alternative in eating tons of clean and lean food, high in fiber and delicious!

I’m 33, but I am so enjoying your videos! I am on the WW blue plan and can relate so much to you. I just purchased a microwave popcorn maker and some zero point seasonings by Kernel Season’s. They have everything from salty to sweet so I’m hoping they cure whatever I crave to munch on after dinner, and just wanted to mention them to you in case you’d like to try a new no guilt flavor. Just look for the seasonings and not the drizzles :) Keep it up!
One of the things I have started doing it posting my meals to Pinterest. Similarly to how you feel RUclips holds you accountable, if I’m not posting to my Pinterest, I’ve not been staying on track. It also doubles as a way for me to make a virtual recipe book!

I love coffee too! I bought a Nespresso for my birthday,which is life changing! I use real half n half, and stevia in my coffee. The pods are 1.00 to 1.20 per pod, it makes the most amazing coffee, because it makes a crema , a creamy texture, so u don’t need as much creamer to give u the creaminess.i have used 1 T. For my coffee along with the stevia, I bought the The Nespresso the pkg., which came with a frothier, I have tried low-fat milk, almond milk, and half -n-half, all turn out creamy and luscious.
Yes I use a glass bowl, and lightly put a lid on it. Then I use a spray that is movie flavored spray on the popcorn aisle! Zero points!
pear in 100% juice..drained is 0sp. ..you do not scan it....the one unsweetened has artificial sweetner...I have worked for WW and know that for sure...so any fruit in 100% Juice drained should not be scanned. .0sp. ..you did not make mistake unless you drink the juice

I laughed during your video regarding the brownies because just last night my daughter made brownies. It was so hard to not have a small piece.
Ugh, I can’t even have a small piece! If I do, that triggers something inside me that says “you MUST now have three pieces” 🤷♀️

Yeah on the 5 lbs lost! One reason you may have been on such a long plateau is because you are eating too many times a day. Every time you eat it cause insulin levels to rise. On average, it takes 6 to 8 hours for insulin levels to drop back down to 0. Your body won't let go of fat if insulin is up. I am 55, and I was counting my calories and walking everyday but was not losing any weight! I watched Dr. Fung videos on fasting, and it has changed my life! I do the 16:8 fast and have lost 32 lbs. You have to stop eating long enough to allow insulin levels to go down so your body will burn fat. Fasting is so easy and kills your appetite. You can continue WW, just compress your meals into a small timeframe.
I would suggest switching to a different plan for a week and see if your portion sizes could be what's doing you in. I've found that eating slightly smaller meals has better results than swapping a 50 calories snack for a 40 calorie snack even if the points on the snack are very different

I don't think there are really veggies in the veggie straw.. Read the list of ingredients... I dont mean to burst your bubble.. Just look..you love them keep eating
There are other chips you can have more of for same points ie good thins

But none of those foods - well, except the fruits and vegetables, are zero points on my plan, which is the old Points Plus plan, which WW doesn't support anymore.
