I am that “tiny” girl you referred to. I am well under five foot and at one time weighed ninety pounds. Three children, divorce, death of both parents and one granddaughter later I am almost doubled in weight. I am almost seventy and had given up. Thank you for inspiring me to try once again. You are so honest and kind! May I add that you have a beautiful soothing voice.

Try KETO, I’m 57, started the diet mid-August 2019, it’s Oct. 3, and have lost 15 lbs. not exercising, AND NOT HUNGRY. I eat twice a day, NO SNACKING. So freaking easy, don’t have to count points, cut out flours, sugars, breads, sodas etc. NO JUNK. Types of calories matter- eat protein, fats( mainly Olive, Coconut, Avocado, butter), vegetables, very few fruits- mainly berries. Dense calories that satiate. PS. I am menopausal. Go watch Dr. Eric Berg for more info. Weight Watchers is sooooo laborious, that’s why so many people fail. PPS. If you can control your insulin, you will lose weight, because your body will start burning it’s own body fat stores. Carbs, sugars are store as fat, that is what the body burns first, then it starts burning fat. Plenty of videos on KETO will explain it better than I can. KETO recipes are also super easy because they are, usually, around 4-5 ingredients.

@@donnaoberlin3431 Thank goodness there is someone closer to my age whon has had success on Keto. I had lost about 10kgs/25lbs about 35 years ago and now being a lot larger and older I must embark again on a diet and now it is a whole lot harder. With your positive results and although there are so many foods I will miss I am also aware that Keto will/should/definitely will work for me. As Ms. Bobbie Kroppe says, frequently duing the video, everyone is different and our bodies are different and we have to find something that works for us, the individual. So with both you ladies and your positive results I shall go forth and lose the many kilograms that I am currently carrying about!

After losing 120 lbs, I feel like a new person (at age 74). My mantra was To thine own self be true. You are what you eat. These words aren’t original, but they keep me on track. I’ve been on maintenance for 2 1/2 years. Lots of struggles, but so very worth it! I deserve to be healthy (off 4 major meds,), look good and feel good! Knowing I can adjust foods for lower points enables me to eat tasty foods. I Stay away from fast food. Enjoyed your 11 reasons for success.

Victoria Sugent Yes! I am a devotedWW member. I struggle to stay within my goal range. Right now, I’m trying to get 3 lbs off! My weight varies so much in a week’s time, it is disheartening and puzzling. Although all the literature says I should be able to maintain with 28 points, that’s usually not the outcome. For two years, I zoomed through maintenance eating 23 points but these last three months I have only seen goal weight twice. Just keeping the faith and looking forward to a new plan choice next month.

Dr. Mcdougals starch diet ( and challenge) i lost 20 pounds in under a month. Maintained for 3 years, i do not follow his 'diet' based which is based on the diet of everyone thru history, worldwide- until capitalized farming/ groceries came in . His research made an Interesting read and made sense. If i were much younger i might follow it closer, but still love my meats and icecream and twinkies . Thank heavens i love potatoes corn and rice !

Im 60 and i just started WW last Saturday. I lost 3 lbs. I quit smoking almost 2 years ago and i gained more weight. I am over weight to begin with. I cant live without my coffee mate hazelnut creamer. I switched to sugar free. I'm adjusting. The best thing is I'm not hungry and I'm not using all my points. I have more energy and i feel much better eating cleaner. You have a alot of good point's. I subscribed for more. Thanks!

    • @bluewaters3100
      @bluewaters3100 4 года назад +1

I used to think I could not live with coffee mate hazelnut creamer too!! That was many years ago for me. Here is my tip..buy organic coffee medium grind. Then buy organic heavy cream. I only use 1 tsp. creamer so I do not spike my insulin. When losing weight I have found that the Keto plan with intermittent fasting is the easiest for me. I am 67 and just lost 30 pounds in 3 months without thinking about food all the time. If you think about your health and how you want to feel for the last 20-30 years of your life then changing your diet and lifestyle is a no brainer. There are great videos on you tube...Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Berg to name a few that I watch. To get a good nutritional lesson watch Robert Lustig. You will probably need to learn about reading labels. I also take things with me in a little cooler bag when I go visit family even though my family eats well I still want my own things. Do not use half & half..use heavy cream, but not ever more than 2 tbs. You do not need artificial sweeteners if you let your taste buds get healed to enjoy coffee without sweetness. You can loose weight without severe cravings by not eating carbohydrates all day. Your body can use fat as fuel if you know how to eat. ( I do not have to rely on mental tricks anymore because this lifestyle works for my body...not weight watchers or pre packaged chemical laden diet foods. Good luck.

This is seriously the most inspirational WW video. Fifteen years ago, I did weight watchers, followed the plan, kept a food diary and the group weigh-ins. I felt hungry all the time and had a very slow weight loss. I discontinued because the group coach said something was wrong. It takes forever for me to drop five pounds and keep it off. I began recording my nutrients and discovered that I was eating huge amounts of salt each day. I ate too much prepared and restaurant foods. However, I never ate a lot of food, rather I ate small amounts of bad foods for weight loss. I believe most people overlook the amount of salt in foods and salt is just as important to limit as sugars. Most low-calorie foods and meals will replace the sugars with more salt. Once our bodies limit the salt intake, then food cravings can push a person to eat more food, especially salty foods.

Going through remission from breast cancer and currently recovering from a hip replacement I have put on so much weight. U really seem to get me. Only thing I didn’t like about weight watchers was obsessing over points all day and counting, calculating, and looking up points everyday . I was doing well on program (started it I. April). Then I had two devastating life events. I lost my job. Then a month later I lost my mom. To say I derailed was an understatement. I was a full on Amtrak 300mph train wreck with myself as the only casualty.
I managed during that time surprisingly to loose one pound between weigh in’s on July 12 through my next meeting and weigh in on October 1.
I counted that as a win! I’m still struggling but I’m not going to give up.
Thank you for this video! I needed your “mantras”. I will be using them. I am a nurse in a nursing home setting so families are ALWAYS feeding us as a way to show appreciation and it is HARD to resist.
I have 5 days off and I’m planning on getting meals prepped for success when I get back to work and I just got my free WW cookbook so I am going to teach my husband how to use it to cook dinners that are healthy for us.

My thin friend always says, "That looks so yummy. I'm not hungry right now. Would it be ok if I save some for later?" Most people respond very positively and are just as pleased as if I ate it immediately. Then I save it and that gives me time to think about if I want it or prefer something different. Often I give it or throw it away.

Forget weight watchers and watch you tube videos by Robert Lustig, Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Berg, and you can loose that weight fairly effortlessly and maintain it. You need to learn about good nutrition so you can make it a permanent lifestyle. Think health. I just lost 30 pounds in three months without thinking about food all day. I was 170 at 5'5"" and I am 67/ I still would like to loose 15 more pounds, but I am happy and not craving food all day. The doctors I mentioned all have online support groups if you want to join. Your new thought processes are now..I am free. I make choices that are in my highest good. I enjoy being healthy and in charge of creating my best self.

I've also done the WW programs MANY MANY times, not all were successful but a few were and it is a great program. Thank you SO much for putting yourself out there, i am so glad i found you!!! I will be binge watching all of your videos right away!

Thanks for being so open and sharing this with all of us! I can so relate to a lot of what you're struggling with. I'm in my early 40's now and I used to do the Momentum plan and I had loved it and then chronic illness hit and I stopped WW and of course regained my weight. I'm now looking into starting the new WW and going for the green plan. This is so helpful and I'm looking forward to your other videos!

Bobbie, I only recently discovered you. I, too, have struggled all my life with weight. I count about 5 times in my life when I've lost 30 lbs, then gained it all back. During the pandemic lock down, I started "stress baking" and that, of course, leads to "stress / carb eating". So now I find myself back up to a point where my healthy goal weight is 30 lbs away (again, the 30 !!!) I've had some stop / starts in the past 2 weeks trying to get back to an eating pattern that will help me lose the weight. Finding this video of yours today has inspired me to get back on the horse and take the ride again! Thank you for your encouragement, honesty, and openness to share your story. I've added a mantra to your great list. "Will I be glad I ate this ___ when I get on the scale?" Good Luck on your next 30. Know that I"ll be doing it with you.

I just lost 30 pounds..again in lock down without craving carbs or food. It took me 3 months. I suggest you check out videos by Dr. Fung, Dr. Berg, and Dr. Robert Lustig. I am 67 and now in the best shape of my life. This way of eating has changed my health. I never thought I could live without organic milk chocolate bars. Now I never even think about them. You can loose weight fairly effortlessly when you let your body use fat instead of carbs for fuel/ I found that my body was really protein deficient and that I needed more iodine in my diet. Do you check your Vit. D levels every year with your doctor? Mine were seriously deficient at one point and it affected my blood pressure, thyroid, and cause joint and muscle issues. All went away when I took supplements of Vitamin D and K2. I wouls suggest just one appointment with a naturalpathic doctor if you can afford it. Getting your health on track is part of losing weight and keeping it off. Good luck!

Wow, I think it must be divine intervention, because I really needed to see this video. I just subscribed. I’m a former college athlete, a high school cheerleader and never struggled with my weight...until I got married (later in life - my 40’s) and moved in with my husband and step sons. I completely lost myself and food was (and, is) what I turned to when stressed. I’ve had no “buddy” in my weight loss journey, but so far, I’ve lost 60 lbs since last March. I would like to lose (at least) 10 more. At first it was relatively easy, but these last 10-15 lbs have been a struggle. I’m 56, and 5’7”, we have the same goal weight. I can totally relate and commend you for being so transparent - and on RUclips of all places! You are fearless and I admire your strength and honesty. Thank you for sharing. 💟 xoxo

Wow! I stumbled across this video and am so glad. You. Are so sweet and genuine that I had to subscribe-I started WW almost 2 months ago and have only lost 7.2 lbs. A bit frustrating but not focusing on that cuz I know the mistakes I have made. I have lots to learn to help me and I am hopeful after watching this video I can buckle down and do much better in the next coming weeks. I am 57 so I know the age thing is tough. Have had knee replacement and back surgery so w/o isn’t the best option for me still - working up to that too. I want to lost 30 to 40 lbs.
So, putting the pressure on ya to help me do this 😉
Going to watch your follow up videos
Thanks and keep up the good work!

I just signed up for WW. Used to be on it years and years ago. I am now coming off of a low carb lifestyle (Trim Healthy Mama). That program worked for a couple of years. Then the scale started climbing even though I was still eating on program. Every diet I have been on has been that way. It works until it doesn't work. Knew I had to change it up in order to get the scale back down. I am 54 and also now approaching menopause so that is also working against me. I am praying that this new WW will work for me. Found your channel and just subscribed since I feel I can get some incite into losing weight when you are over 50. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

But now that I've lost 20 lbs I have less shame about it and I'm currently on my way to a healthy weight. You're right. These are just numbers and we are all in different bodies. I am delighted I found this, as some serious self hate and despair was brooding like dark clouds over my daily glances in the mirror.
I used to be so much more active and healthy. Job changes and sttess factors are bullyinf me into eating unwisely.
That mantra " is this foodsfuff worth the results " hit home with me intensely.

I'm 63 and very overweight. I recently lost a whole month (October) by being bedridden from sciatica. I used to get sciatica once every two or three years, and I was only bedridden for a significant time the first time I got it. This time, eating was too much trouble, and I had almost zero appetite. So I learned last week that I had lost 16 pounds in the past three months, which was great! However, I have now lost only 50 pounds in 22 months. I need to lose another 90-100 pounds. Also I am diabetic, and my sugar was apparently out of control because measuring it was too difficult to be worth it. Obviously I can't repeat that behavior. I am also waiting to see if I can have back surgery to repair a ruptured disc that may be the reason why I am now having sciatica every couple of months. Your videos (11 steps to lose weight and decluttering my closest) have been truly inspirational. If I find myself slipping back into my self-destructive behaviors I will have to rewatch them. So thank you for the help! If I need to ask you a question or seek help, I really appreciate knowing that I can ask you. And by the way, you do look FABULOUS!🎉

I'm just now finding you, and this is my first video of yours that I have seen. I am glad I started with this one. Great tips, great inspiration. You are just a joy to watch and so encouraging. Thank you for sharing your journey with everyone. I have so much to lose and I have to try so hard to get healthier. My journey is complicated with Complex PTSD, Severe Major Depressive Disorder, and Neuropathy in my feet since I was 17 years old. I am now 42, I have been successful losing weight in the past, it makes me sad to see how healthier I was and looked when I was 75 lbs lighter. I have challenged my children to do this with me. We start in January but I signed up for WW already and I am trying to find good recipes and find a good way of eating before we get into the full swing of it. My kids are suffering from my food coping and addiction choices. They are gaining weight as well and not comfortable in their own skin, as well as bullied and harassed at school. It's not going to be easy, your mantra's may help me through this as well. It is a daunting road ahead but I have hid behind food for far too long and the stress eating has gotten way out of control. I need to find a better outlet for stress. but thank you for sharing your success tips and I hope I can implement them for my own success and give my children a better example to follow.
