My intermittent fasting consists of eating between 12pm and 4pm and fasting the rest of time. I have been doing this for over eight months and I feel as good as I can be at my age (I will be 77 in a few days!) I am extremely poor, so I can't afford the best quality salmon, and most of my vegetables, avocados, and nuts are not organic, but I eat as healthy as my budget allows. Sometimes what you don't eat is just as important as what you eat. Avoid processed and sugary foods, avoid restaurants (I can't afford them anyway!), make everything from scratch, chew your food well, etc. Hope it helps!
I have been intermittent fasting (16:8) for the past 3 years. At my last visit to my doctor's visit she told me she had never seen cholesterol levels as low as mine in any patient my age (66yrs). IF is not just about losing weight. It is a healthy lifestyle.
@@katharinpritchard7006 Hello - just wanted to say that I had my first cholesterol blood panel done since before the pandemic (2019) and my overall cholesterol went down 67 points and my LDL went down 50 points! I was borderline high and am now normal (started IF after the panel in 2019). Weight is the same as it was in 2019 so IF is the only thing that changed. I also walk A LOT and stop eating by 2PM each day (some days one meal and some days two but always stop by 2PM and NO snacking :))
Been fasting for 2 months now, I’m just a regular guy with regular work hours, local truck driver, just wanted to post for encouragement. I’ve lost 30 pounds in 2 months with no other changes other than fasting. No exercise no supplement. Anyone can do it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼and I cheat, I have coffee with cream every morning 😑

I started 16:8 intermittent fasting two weeks ago and have never felt better. I have about 30 pounds to lose and so far lost 8 pounds. The best part for me has been the renewed energy and less brain fog. I have an autoimmune disease and there were days that I could barely get out of bed. I feel so much more productive now. I can actually play with my kids and be attentive to my husband. I’m making dinner again and walking everyday. The impact this has had on my life and relationships is just incredible. I’m hooked. I’ll be doing this for life.
She is ABSOLUTELY right! I lost 60lbs skipping "the most important meal of the day." I tried the 16:8. The first 30lbs was lost with no exercise or diet change, the last 30lbs were lost with diet change and exercise. It was hands down one of the best changes I have ever made in my life.
Rising The first 30lbs happened in 3 months. I was blown away! The next 30 took a bit longer, around 5 months when I added some resistance training, so I really had to control my appetite and work hard to not fall into bad eating habits again. But I made it! And it was the best decision ever. So 8 months lol.
@@milayorkk4275 Thank you! In the beginning my diet was still very poor, fast food, some fruits and veggies and lots of water, but because I only had 8 hours to eat I was in a caloric deficit. After 3 months I was so motivated I decided to eat clean. Lots of spinach and kale salads and smoothies, I still eat pizza lol just in moderation now. Plus lots of protein.
I'm living proof, I've been on a 8/16 schedule pretty much 6 days a week for around 6 months now. I'm 35yo 5'9 I started out weighting 265lbs. I'm 200lbs today. Ive started to see visible shadows of my abs for a while now, so now that i see they are under there hiding it motivates me to keep going lol, after i get to my goal i will change my diet to a more stable clean eating scedual.
My husband, 37 and I, 33, have been doing intermittent fasting for 4 years. We started because of Dr. Berg. But this ted talk is very appreciated. Our health has improved tremendously with IF. We do 23:1 on weekdays Monday-Friday. And 20:4 on weekends. We have 2 kids together who eat very healthy & are not overweight. Unfortunately everyone in our families are either overweight, obese, and even morbidly obese on both sides. Both side's our families have numerous health issues & unfortunately passsing away early. My husband & I decided that will not be US. And we have dedicated for the past 4 years to IF and animal based diet all being organic and grass fed of course. We are the only ones in our families that are not overweight & are very healthy. Zero health issues. We plan to do this the rest of our lives.
@@MetalMan1969 i would still eat something during morning, to ensure good absorption of essential nutriment. but unless it starts damaging one's body, i think people has to go with their own feeling, because if they don't their natural hunger balance starts to be upset. but in fact what should be taken and when are universal, i guess a bit unanswered questions.
@@MetalMan1969 personally i am vegan to stop cruelty to animals. but plant-based and non processed food, a lot of cooking oneself, with a lot of vegetables (if hungry) is so cleansing. thank you for your kind words.
best to exercise as soon as you wake up as testosterone levels are at their highest of the day ON TOP of an empty stomach. just gentle walk or light exercise.
So true and wish that we can try to do this to reduce systemic health issues around the world. Our body needs a break and its only our mind is not listening to them and giving them the importance of existing and functioning for us. so they tolerated till they can tolerate it no more...

This TED talk got me going on intermittent fasting 3 years ago and I have been able to maintain my weight ever since which is a miracle considering my history for the fifty years of my life since about age 12. It was always the yo-yo experience with my weight. I was actually on Weight Watchers on my Bar Mitzvah day! By doing the 16/8, I have been able to stay within 1 pound of my goal weight every day with no exceptions for 3 years, since age 62. I really cannot believe it.

Be still, my beating heart!!! Hope I can do it too! I feel sort of addicted to food. All very healthy though. Just too much of it. About to be 68 and I’ll give it a go. What was your best strategy if you felt hungry? Congrats to you! ☮️
I adopted intermittent fasting into my life in 2022 with the 16:8 method and have lost 60 pounds for the year. I can truly say that this was the most effective method for me. In over 10+ years I have tried so many methods and spent thousands of dollars on trying to lose weight. With IF, I am not as hungry and my energy level was so high. IF has truly changed my life.
I’ve been intermittent fasting for over a year! Single-handedly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s completely transformed my entire life, healed my body and cleared my mind!
@@shyannepilch4002 ok thanks. I’ve been doing 16/8 from 11am to 7pm for a couple of month (had cheat days unfortunately), but might try to squeeze the eating window, see what happens :)
I used to weigh over 400 pounds. In a little over a year I have been able to to lose over 100 pounds over the last year. I did this by intermittent fasting and switched to a WFPB (Whole Foods Plant-Based) lifestyle. No exercise, no counting calories. I am disabled so I couldn't exercise. But now with the weight loss, I can exercise. Exercise is a necessary key component for me now. I got down below 300 pounds and suddenly my weight loss stalled. So now I do DDP YOGA and use a stationary exercise bike. The adventure continues.
Wow, so glad to hear you shed 100 pounds. - the thing about intermittent fasting is that you can allow yourself the occasional sin. I once did a sloppy Atkins. But it is hard to get into ketosis and easy to fall out, if you cheat one day. All the transition trouble again.
I am 64 years old, male. I have been fasting 20 hours per day for a little over 2 years, with several 44 hour fasts per month. I have lost 65 pounds, stopped blood pressure meds, stopped talking about cholesterol meds due to improved test results. My weight is stable. My feet don’t hurt anymore. I am able to run for exercise again. I have much less inflammation and pain. I am forever in debt to my doctor who has guided me onto this path. It is definitely a lifestyle change for me. Thank you for sharing this.

I've been intermittent fasting for 3 months and I've lost 52 pounds in weight. I haven't been my current weight since I was 16 years old and now I'm 52! Fasting is easy and addictive.
Update - I've been fasting 18:6 since June 2020 (more than six months) and my weight loss is 82 pounds. I've reached a set-point and I'm happy sticking around here for the foreseeable future.
@@siamara1180 The only exercise I did was walking for 30 minutes per day. Food wise, was more about dropping bread, rice, pasta - below 20 grams of carbs - and just eating meat, cruciferous veg, cheese and other low carb stuff. Eating little and no snacking in between meals is how the rest of the world lives naturally. I've never heard of snacking untill I got to the US. Great lecture.
I died a little on the inside when I heard her say that healthcare providers in the US tell people to eat all day long.... Seems pretty established in the rest of the world that eating between meals is bad for you... Your digestive track needs time to process & rest.
Indigo Socratus I was thinking the same thing. I’m Jamaican we typically eat one meal per day-dinner. If we do have “breakfast” it’s just a cup of tea, maybe a boiled egg, or it’s eaten later in the day around lunch time, and it’s something like callaloo and salt fish (salt water cod and leafy green veggie sautéed in olive oil).
I used to work in an office where I could sit at a computer with a bag of nuts or chips in front of me and snack while working. Now I work using my hands and tools and honestly do not have a chance to stop and snack for hours while busy. I think that in the past people worked more physically with their hands and feet and didn't sit around behind a desk all day which enables people to snack more frequently.

I stumbled upon IF. After retiring I've been sleeping in till late morning and have breakfast around 11 or 12. Usually coffee and toast with peanut butter. I then eat a normal dinner at a normal time and then I am full and done for the day. I started losing weight (I was pretty overweight) and worried i had cancer or something because I kept losing weight. One day while watching a daytime TV show with a guest nutritionist who was touting IF, I realized that's what I was doing. I had lost 34 pounds and it wasn't cancer! I have been able to keep the weight off during this time of quarantine while everyone else is gaining. It is the easiest "diet" I have ever done. It's not really a diet.

It was about four month to lose about 22 lbs, I got to 183 or thereabouts. Then I hit a plateau for a while. I broke through the plateau with a forty hour fast, went to 177. Then I hit another plateau at about 177, did a longer fast (48 hrs) and went to 172. The whole process has been about ten months. I seem to do better with a 16 hour fast. I think when I go 22 hours, I eat to much in the one meal. My A1c has dropped from 8 to under 6. It's not as hard as it might seem. Be aware of ghrellin. Ghrellin is a chemical which tells you you are hungry. But it is produced at the times at which you're are accustomed to eating. Not when you are actually hungry. It passes in an hour or less. Now I feel hungry only after 16 hours of fasting when I'm accustomed to eating. Ig I skip lunch, the ghrellin goes away. (Not sure I'm spelling that right.) The 48 hour fast I just did was pretty easy. I worked out twice during the 48 hours. I felt a little weak during the second workout at hour 46. I think Dr Jason Fung is the best guide to fasting. See him on utube and his book The Obesity Code. Dr. Annette Bosworth is also very good. She urges that you be on a keto diet for thirty days before starting to fast. Good luck, Kimberly.
Not if you ate heavy the night before you slept. That defeats the purpose because then the body is busy processing sugars and fats rather than undergoing self de-oxidation. The key is to sleep at night on an empty stomach
This is so important. I didn't learn about proper food and eating practises from my parents. We would eat and snack before bed. For years I woke up feeling nauseous and tired, from overeating before bed. Now I try not to eat after 8pm, and when I do I feel so tired and slow in the morning. We need an empty stomach during sleep, digestion is a taxing process and requires energy. Let your body focus on what it needs to during Sleep!
And the cereal makers came up with the brilliant dogma that breakfast was the most important meal of the day to sell: more cereal! Of course. We do 48 and 72 hpur fasts and have lost weight and feel great. We don't get hunger pangs either.
With 17:7 IF for the last 6 months, my hemoglobin a1c went from 5.9 to 5.2, my fatty liver disease was reversed (liver enzymes were severely elevated but they are well within range now!), and lost about 10% of my weight. I am a woman in mid-30s with PCOS. My weight loss has plateaued so I want to incorporate some changes now by adding one to two days of 24 hour fasting each week, eating healthier lunch, walking more, and doing strength training. IF is not a restrictive diet so it’s more sustainable. Most importantly, the blood test numbers really tell me that I’m doing the right thing for my body.

I started intermittent fasting in October of last year and I have lost 30 pounds so far. Started out at 230 pounds and for the first time in almost a decade I weighed under 200 pounds yesterday. I eat dinner at 7 PM and don’t eat again until 11 AM at the earliest. Multiple times a week I will do one meal a day. I’ve drastically cut out sugar and carbs, although not completely. I now IF 5-6 days a week, giving myself some grace on the weekends to have breakfast with my family. It wasn't a diet, it wasn't restrictive, and it worked. I wasn't overly strict with what I ate during my eating window. If I wanted pizza, I had pizza. If I wanted a cookie, I had a cookie. I found my appetite shrunk and it took a lot less to make me full. Before, I would practically binge eat and not be able to stop. Now moderation is easy and I don't feel like I am restricting myself or starving. It has changed my life!
That's amazing! I've also had an amazing experience with IF so far! My journey started about a year ago but It was'nt until I took Cynthia Thurlow's IF Masterclass that I really understood with feeding window was the best for me and what should I eat during my non fasting periods. I recommend everyone to take her courses she's amazing!
Yes stranger on the internet. You totally got me. 🙄 Edit: Note the original comment that this was in reply to deleted his comment. Obviously struck a nerve!
I did not see any change in my weight during fasting 16:8 after 8 weeks. I did not need to lose weight but there was no change. And research on the topic also showed it does not influence weight loss..
I started intermittent fasting less than 2 weeks ago. I have never done this before. I have also cut out carbohydrates. I am a healthy, slim 60 year old. Except I have had severe eyesight problems for more than 30 years. Incredibly since doing the 16 hour fast every day my vision is improving. I am speechless! I had advanced glaucoma - eyedrops for many years, eye surgery as well. I was slowly losing my peripheral vision. I tried loads of different supplements - nothing worked. My BMI is low - about 21, so I really don't want to lose weight. But the fasting is without doubt better than anything else! Thank you - and I totally agree with you about breakfast!
fasting for little over the year. got to my goal weight after 5 months. keeping it that way since. no cravings, full of energy, clarity in head and overall empowering feeling of control! love it, recommend it to everyone i know. it is not diet! it is a lifestyle.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, has worked so well for me! I highly recommend it, I went from a size 14/16 to a size 8/10, my brain was functioning so amazingly and I was happy everyday day. I paired it up with daily yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, healthy eating (avocados, sourdough bread, smoothies and loads of nuts...). I do have to say, it is a lot easier to pick up this habit if you live on your own, if you have people at home with you that aren't taking this on it's gonna be a bit of a challenge, so good luck! I'm gonna start doing it again.
@@pinklight911 water only till 10am, coffee and teas after, if hungry I'll wait for 12 to have food, usually have dinner around 5, usually large, then I still have time to snack until 8, when I stop. If dinner wasn't nutrious (like takeaway), I'll be hungry in the morning. Also, this is not a strict pattern, if I'm too hungry, I'll eat, if I want coffee earlier, then I'll have it.
I've been doing this for 2 months and Ive lost 30 pounds and I feel fantastic. I don't eat breakfast, just a cup of green tea. I also took sugar and most carbs out of my diet. I needed to loose 50 so 20 to go, and I will keep doing this. I feel like I will finally win the weight battle I've fought all my 60+ years.
@TALIA CHAUDHRY Main thing I cut is breakfast altogether. I'm doing zero sugar (sucrose) and very little grain carbs (3 half size servings per week), meat and dairy once a week and all of that strictly organic. I feel great! We grow dates so that is the one sweet I still eat, in very small portion. Dates have 26 kinds of antioxidants and lots of minerals so very healthy, not just empty sugar.
Hi. While cooking for my youngest child who is vegan and doing intermittent fasting, I adopted his schedule. He is 6' and maintains 195 # with workouts on top of a 10 hour work day. I lost 25 lbs, effortlessly, no longer have the annual visit to my cardiologist who was amazed at my health changes (I refused statins) and better BP readings, etc. When I shared what I was doing, he, the cardiologist said, 'oh, I can't do that'. Even with a career and a family, I think it is still doable, maybe more like 14 / 10. I am late 70s and have managed chronic health issues with diet, but allowing the body to function optimally and heal itself as we go with intermittent fasting, is a much better alternative !!! Here's my story. Im 22 and im in an intermittent fasting for 85 days. I've lost only 4 kilos with no exercise. Ik it would be much better if i could exercise but im lazy. Important part for me is, I've always been a gastric patient and had constipation. In last 3 months, my acidity problem improved tremendously. I've taken only 3-4 antacids in last 3 months. And my constipation is almost gone. Intermittent suits me so well i love it. And I've decided to take this as the diet of my life. ❤️
Twice a week I go to an indoor pool and exercise hard for 1 hr, there are plenty of videos on RUclips and consume about 400 calories per hr...I enjoy it, they are many benefits of exercising in the water 💦. You don’t get tired as in the water the blood 🩸 pressure drops as well as the heart beat...I couldn’t do the same amount of work out the the water without being exhausted.
Truth! It really works. Thank you. I’ve only done 16:8 for one week and I already feel lighter in the belly, mentally clearer, and more confident. I have more control over my eating and feel less hungry overall. This is really amazing!

Girls, hear me out! I'm 28 and I've been fasting for months. I started with the 16/8, then went for the 18/6, with the 20/4 after 2 months and then with the 23/1. I used to feel great, like I've never felt before BUT I had to STOP intermittent fasting because my cycle completely stopped. I learnt that women should be fasting differently to men. We have a more complicated hormone system. Hair might start falling and fertility issues might come up! PLEASE, pay attention. It is good to fast BUT NOT EVERYDAY, especially during ovulation and pre-mestrual week.
This is why in Islam where fasting is one of the rituals, certain conditions don’t allow men or women to do fasting. This includes women in their menstrual period and the bleeding period after giving birth.
I started gaining weight in my 40’s, found myself up 30 pounds. At 50, I started the practice of not eating between 7pm and 1pm every day. At 70 years old, I am lean, at optimum BMI now, never gain weight, and feel great. I eat healthy, but have some little treats too! Great way to live!

When people have to preach fasting in 21st century when fasting has been there for many centuries, you know how much our society has fallen despite all the technological advancements we made.
You are wrong....noone talked about it until recently...you were programmed the opposite...eat 5 time ...3meal/2 snacks....breakfast is a must. Were you born with this wisdom??
D Greg Many people fast as a part of religious practice for centuries. Fasting has been used by the devout (monks, priests, even the Buddha) to seek clarity of mind. Ramadan, the month where Muslims dry fast, is seen as a way of purifying the body and garnering gratitude for food as nourishment. This wisdom’s been around for a while. The 3 meals a day concept is very much a Western commericialized concept meant to sell you sugar and dairy because we were producing so much of it.
What does that have to do with anything? Slavery and wearing led makeup has been around for many centuries too lol just because something is old doesn't mean it's good.
I started IF in November of last year and I’ve lost over 20 pounds doing 16/8. Changing my eating habits and diet has been extremely helpful. I was never a big water drinker now i crave it. Christine thank you for the inspiration
I'm still having trouble with my water intake, but to CRAVE it? I hope I can reach that level, 'cus I know it's good for you, but plain water is kinda...bleh.
Sean Kelsey you’re telling my story-I also started at 260 and did IF. I had so many benefits-mental,clarity, better sleep and weight loss! Down 60! My food obsession has really quieted down too. Life changing!
I have been doing this for 11 days, fasting for 16 hours and eating within the 8. I have not exercised much and the only real difference with my eating habits is that I make sure my first meal is nutrient dense. I have lost 9 pounds. When I was younger I could drop weight just by looking at a pair of running shoes and now with age, it's been a challenge to get it off so this has been so helpful and motivating. I feel lighter, I feel healthier and overall just better about myself. Once I start a good exercise routine it's game over. I'm truly grateful for randomly seeing this Ted Talk. Thank you!
I began intermittent fasting in January. I’ve dropped a kilogram each month, so six kilograms. feel the best I’ve felt in a decade. I am in my size 12 jeans without a muffin top. Not difficult, nor am I craving sugar or salt any more. I eat good healthy food between approximately midday and six pm. Need nothing else. It’s the best thing ever. I’m 56 and feel better than I have in 30 odd years.
I used to be an all-day grazer. From 7 or 8 am to 11pm at night. Now, I’ve been fasting 16-19 hours and eating within a 5-8 hour window (mostly 16:8) for 8 months and have dropped more than 30 lbs without counting a calorie or macro. I’m so glad I learned about intermittent fasting!
When I quit alcohol nearly 3 years ago in 2019 at the age of 34 my liver was on the verge of turning cirrohtic. I started intermittent fasting. While I haven't always maintained it, I try to practice it often. My health has come roaring back. My liver now has healthy function.
Good on you! Great to hear from someone else who lives onn the poverty line! This is very encouraging.
You are an inspiration, i wish you a lot of health❤
you are not poor in any way sir health is wealth

How you doing now pal? A true inspiration I hope you’re doing well 🙏🏻
I have been intermittent fasting (16:8) for the past 3 years. At my last visit to my doctor's visit she told me she had never seen cholesterol levels as low as mine in any patient my age (66yrs). IF is not just about losing weight. It is a healthy lifestyle.

How much did u lose now
I’d like to know as well!
How long did it take to lose all of that?
Rising The first 30lbs happened in 3 months. I was blown away! The next 30 took a bit longer, around 5 months when I added some resistance training, so I really had to control my appetite and work hard to not fall into bad eating habits again. But I made it!
Time to start talking to the rest of your family...as if you are preaching.
you should make sure 1 meal a day every day isn't unhealthy though. i think it is not regarded as healthy. still needs absorbing of many nutrients.
@@MetalMan1969 i would still eat something during morning, to ensure good absorption of essential nutriment. but unless it starts damaging one's body, i think people has to go with their own feeling, because if they don't their natural hunger balance starts to be upset. but in fact what should be taken and when are universal, i guess a bit unanswered questions.

yes it can save your miserable life.....
sitting is the most unhealthiest thing anyone can do
best to exercise as soon as you wake up as testosterone levels are at their highest of the day ON TOP of an empty stomach. just gentle walk or light exercise.

I did this by intermittent fasting and switched to a WFPB (Whole Foods Plant-Based) lifestyle. No exercise, no counting calories. I am disabled so I couldn't exercise.

I was thinking the same thing.
Same here. The obsession with snacking drives me nuts. Especially when it's pushed on my kids.

Fasting 16 to 20 hours a day has been great for me. I'm 73, six feet tall, went from 205 to 175. Feel great.
In what time frame?

Yup Bill your absolutely correct 😉
This is so important. I didn't learn about proper food and eating practises from my parents. We would eat and snack before bed. For years I woke up feeling nauseous and tired, from overeating before bed. Now I try not to eat after 8pm, and when I do I feel so tired and slow in the morning. We need an empty stomach during sleep, digestion is a taxing process and requires energy. Let your body focus on what it needs to during Sleep!

My journey started about a year ago but It was'nt until I took Cynthia Thurlow's IF Masterclass that I really understood with feeding window was the best for me and what should I eat during my non fasting periods. I recommend everyone to take her courses she's amazing!
So your previous diet sucked, as you ate junk and had no control.
All this did was give you disipline that you never had
Yes stranger on the internet. You totally got me. 🙄
Edit: Note the original comment that this was in reply to deleted his comment. Obviously struck a nerve!
Could you have a coffee with milk in the morning or no
I did not see any change in my weight during fasting 16:8 after 8 weeks.
That's wonderfull, I'm going to try this❤️
So glad to hear this!
fasting for little over the year. got to my goal weight after 5 months. keeping it that way since. no cravings, full of energy, clarity in head and overall empowering feeling of control! love it, recommend it to everyone i know. it is not diet! it is a lifestyle.
The hardest part is when your family believes in 5 meals a day religion.
😂😂😂 good luck with that
thats a wrap 🤣
Yo
Enjoyyyy
yes im finding this is a big problem
Nothing, absolutely nothing, has worked so well for me! I highly recommend it, I went from a size 14/16 to a size 8/10, my brain was functioning so amazingly and I was happy everyday day. I paired it up with daily yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, healthy eating (avocados, sourdough bread, smoothies and loads of nuts...). I do have to say, it is a lot easier to pick up this habit if you live on your own, if you have people at home with you that aren't taking this on it's gonna be a bit of a challenge, so good luck! I'm gonna start doing it again.
I love how you pointing out the other benefits of intermittent fasting, and the other healthy lifestyle changes you made, keep it up!
@@drmorgannolte thank you Morgan, sending good wishes your way x
What is your fasting pattern
Are you still doing it ?
Namaste all
i am a 77 year old male concerned with healthy longevity and I often intermittent fast for 18 hours , eat for 6 hour window and its feeling great to give my digestion a break
Lost 12 kg (26.46 pounds) in the last 3 months....but I watch my calories too.....
@@laurastorm9038 wow congratulations! Do you exercise?
Twice a week I go to an indoor pool and exercise hard for 1 hr, there are plenty of videos on RUclips and consume about 400 calories per hr...I enjoy it, they are many benefits of exercising in the water 💦. You don’t get tired as in the water the blood 🩸 pressure drops as well as the heart beat...I couldn’t do the same amount of work out the the water without being exhausted.
Sorry not consume but use about 400+ calories per hr while exercising in the pool 🏊♀️
@@laurastorm9038 omygod thank you soo much ❤️
Truth! It really works. Thank you. I’ve only done 16:8 for one week and I already feel lighter in the belly, mentally clearer, and more confident. I have more control over my eating and feel less hungry overall. This is really amazing!
How much have you lost ?

@@orchidemmy6185 this makes completely sense! wish I knew it before! :)
Wow!! How then did your cycle return? Did you have to stop fasting ?
Hi Moon, I'd really like to know more about this. Do you have any specific info I can read/watch, or is it easily Googleablem
Maybe you should stick with a 16/8 or there about?! the 23/1 etc sound extreme. Best to you on your journey 🙏✨

What main foods you eat
When people have to preach fasting in 21st century when fasting has been there for many centuries, you know how much our society has fallen despite all the technological advancements we made.
So true!
Lol exactly, in religious practices too
You are wrong....noone talked about it until recently...you were programmed the opposite...eat 5 time ...3meal/2 snacks....breakfast is a must.
I've been doing intermittent fasting for 3 months now and i love it
I started IF in November of last year and I’ve lost over 20 pounds doing 16/8.
I like how this TED Talk addresses the aspect that intermittent fasting is not for everyone.
I started out at 260 lbs last month and started intermittent fasting a month later I'm 240 lbs trying to hit 200
What’s your diet plan
Keep going, you will do it! You will save your life
Hey man whats your weight now?
Sean Kelsey you’re telling my story-I also started at 260 and did IF. I had so many benefits-mental,clarity, better sleep and weight loss! Down 60! My food obsession has really quieted down too. Life changing!
Wow!! Congratulations on your progress!! Very inspiring :) keep going man, you can do it :)
I'm a brittle type 1 diabetic and 20/4 hour fasting has helped me get the best BG control I've had in years.
Ofc if you have a health related problem, like diabetes type 1 , always consult the doctor about IF...
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this. It’s good to know that even within 11 days this type of change is worth it…
I need help like what time do you take your meals in the 8/16 IF

I began intermittent fasting in January. I’ve dropped a kilogram each month, so six kilograms. feel the best I’ve felt in a decade. I am in my size 12 jeans without a muffin top. Not difficult, nor am I craving sugar or salt any more. I eat good healthy food between approximately midday and six pm. Need nothing else. It’s the best thing ever. I’m 56 and feel better than I have in 30 odd years.
did you fast 7 days a week??

I used to be an all-day grazer. From 7 or 8 am to 11pm at night. Now, I’ve been fasting 16-19 hours and eating within a 5-8 hour window (mostly 16:8) for 8 months and have dropped more than 30 lbs without counting a calorie or macro. I’m so glad I learned about intermittent fasting!
This is awesome! I'm glad it worked for you!
When I quit alcohol nearly 3 years ago in 2019 at the age of 34 my liver was on the verge of turning cirrohtic. I started intermittent fasting. While I haven't always maintained it, I try to practice it often. My health has come roaring back. My liver now has healthy function.
