- If you think ULEZ won't affect you, the presence of these cameras on your local street should make it real. If not today, be sure that these cameras are coming for you, and sooner than you think. And they won't stop at cars - smug cyclists better take heed, you're on the radar too.

Pay per mile is essentially a system of compelling motorists to covert their vehicles into personal taxis. We'll be forced to meter our journeys and then pay a bill. Absolutely outrageous. Its highway robbery on an industrial scale.
Dick Turpin would turn in his grave
Gotta start the fightback then or we will be monitored lab rats

What you should do is demand for them to share their science proving CO2 is harmful for the environment, but first do some yourself and see what you come up with
@@Cjohn31 Indeed. It’s literally all lies. Temperature changes preceded CO2 changes in the past.
Very deep ice cores covering tens of thousands of years prove that.

I'm not sure how it is in GB, but last time I checked, freedom of movement was one of the basic human rights.
You bought cars as legal, homologated means of transport, if they want to introduce a law that outlaws them, make them pay you compensation. Instead of dismantling these cameras, dismantle this government.
To do that people have to have a plan in place with enough decent, intelligent and experienced people to take over the vital positions including trade negotiations, treatise with other nations etc.
Dismantle the government and the cameras do away with all the woke left ideals..civil unrest is just around the corner the peoples great reset is coming when we will rise up and get rid of all those who try to oppress us

Londoners vote Khan, you reap what you sow, wake up!!
Don't be fooled into thinking that pay per mile will replace VED. It will be on top of VED.
You’re probably right actually
Wow really😡😡😲
Yep I saw a clip of a TfL meeting where someone asked that. They confirmed you would pay both.
THAT'S the bit I can't accept. I pay about 56 quid a month for my Allroad, fair enough, it's a 2.7 litre v6 diesel. But we live WAY outside London and the closest that car gets to the expanded ulez is Staines. I wouldn't take it further in anyway. But £56 a month plus £12.50 per visit plus the exorbitant tax and duty on fuel PLUS x number of pence per mile is taking the mickey. Luckily I can still visit my cousin near the elephant and castle cos my other car is a ulez compliant rover 25. Others not so fortunate are going to be paying a shedload of cash. Road tax should go, the only fair ways to pay for driving are fuel tax - the more you use the more you pay and outside urban areas price per mile. No ulez charge, congestion charge dropped to 20p per hour you're there and if you drive uneconomically, ie big engine or you drive like loony, you pay more.
and wont get rid of fuel tax
I work in the bus industry, I have to drive to work at 3am (taking 22 mins), if I didn't drive, I would have to get 4 night buses (trains don't run that early) taking 1 hour 50 mins (that's if I get there alive waiting for a bus in the middle of the night in Lewisham, Tulse hill and Brixton) Khan will try to price me out my car BUT it is me that is helping to keep the buses running.
We need stories like this to highlight the problem with their approach. This is crazy!
Not to mention how unreliable public transport already is in london. When you look at public transport systems in Denmark, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Japan, China, Korea, they had solved these problems in the 90s. We are in 2023 and can't go a few days without major tube delays. And they expect us to rely on this system
I’m a train driver. I commute in 12 miles one way. I drive and there’s no way I can use any public transport between my home and my depot because of shifts start or end times (some shifts are feasible for public transport but not many)
Khan is very very short sighted. Pricing public off the road can and will impact public transport eventually. More demand but less ability to deliver it.
Not only that but our high streets are dying. This will kill them off even quicker so it will impact our economy too.
People need to all club together and stand up and keep standing up, stop the tyranny and stop Sadiq and his dangerous plans, this will go beyond London if they don’t stand up. #everyonestand
You’ve made absolute sense and knocked the nail on the head.
It goes way beyond one man, especially when that man is in bed with WEF
Yep C40 Cities is essentially a tentacle of the WEF.
Its like people have forgotten, they can literally take the power away from the current government, stop funding them and pay into a different governing body.

We need a political party that will actually support motorists.
It's a prison, cheaper than building a wall and steel bars, but the effect is just same.
Not only is it cheaper they tax us for the privilege
Gates will be next. We already have the mass propaganda that paints the majority as very nasty slave owners and they're always on TV now pushing the agenda just like Rwanda.
If everyone got together and said NO we are not paying.
I said that back when the Congestion Charge was first started, but the majority complied, creating the precedent for all this shit that followed!
The trouble is with US all we moan and groan but don't do anything collectively ..... we ALL need to unite and basically just NOT pay as a whole group, what can they do then? they can't put us ALL in jail or fine us ALL as we wouldn't pay the fines either, the whole of London must unite otherwise we are doomed

Good!!! Keep up the great work
The 'pressure cooker' situation is what they want to deploy Martial Law in my opinion. Great Report.
The pay per mile system will transition to incorporate energy rationing, so even if you could afford it, you'll only have a personal allocation of travel miles and it will be throttled by manufactured climate emergencies, energy shortages and other such contrivances....then if you re traveling somewhere they don't want you to go, the car will be disabled or ultimately, returned home under their control.....Many of us were warning of this when we protested about 5G technology, which enables all these control and surveillance systems....
Exactly. It's TOWERS more than cameras. They can't marry up the information without their overly powerful antenna.
We tried explaining years ago as well as up to now, yet none usually even like to show they read and comprehend. Dismal, isn't it? Like talking to bricks walls - until it suddenly hits them and knocks them flat. Then it's too late.
Sounds unfortunately realistic, may the Heart manifest upon the earth
The problem is that there are not enough people who understand this or even care. i have friends that think it’s not important or won’t affect them. i think there are too many people like that. I feel like we are the minority. An irritation to the powers that be.
It’s not about just making it more expensive to drive, it’s about hugely reducing car use, eventually making car ownership only for the wealthy.
With house ownership moving that way too XD
It’s pay per mile ULEZ is a red herring
Also there putting sensors under the road at junctions that can turn your electric cars off

@@chevchelios8582 Correct, although I did hear an unsubstantiated rumour that it was really the university who wanted the orchard removed, to provide a guided bus link to new student accommodation. Usually, what the university wants, it gets, because it owns Cambridge. It's a simple as an email with a group of address, and you just change the date.
It's your right, exercise it. It costs them money.
Imagine paying 10p per mile and you do 20,000 miles per year because of long journeys to work and social.
I don't even want to imagine what it will be like for self-employed lorry drivers who own their own vehicle.
If everyone got an electric car .., they’d tax that as well … they won’t stop until they have taken everything . … pitchforks ?
Electric cars are VED free until 2025 when something will be introduced either pay per mile or some form of VED.
@@MichaelWilliams-mo1vv exactly they need to make up the loss of tax on fuel somehow😉
Yes governments need to generate tax money.
Yes, they'll even take your pitchforks too 😂
Ready and waiting.
Of course pay per mile is coming because if everyone switches to a compliant car then they revenue stream dries up and the implementation cost doesn't get covered if compliance take up is quick enough, also the massive hole in TFL's budget doesn't get filled. I already have to pay £630 a year RFL, (soon to rise to nearly £700), and I only do about 1200miles a year, add fuel, wear and tear/running costs, and insurance to that and I could probably get a taxi everywhere for less but I don't want to give up my V6 4x4 Alfa saloon and I feel I'm already paying significantly to run it the few times I do. Eventually people will be pushed to the point they start to fail to pay tax and insurance on a greater scale than already happens.
They will be charging us for the air we breath next
Funny enough in the song Virtual insanity by Jamiroquai, it does mention that. Most of his predictions made in that look into a future are now becoming reality.

Probably the ULEZ cameras will be duel purpose. After they have stopped having a pollution restriction purpose they could be switched into 15/20 minute city control?
I'd say this would be the case 😬
We can already go most places in 15/20 minutes. It’s places like some large especially US cities that will benefit. Those encouraged by the oil lobby to build in large zones so that people were forced into vehicles.

Sadiq Khan is the type of person to raise money for charity but pocket the money for himself. Ask Sadiq why isn’t the money from ULEZ being spent to Great Ormond Street Hospital or to develop green spaces planting trees, as he did use them in his arguments to implement the ULEZ expansion, if he wants cleaner air shouldn’t the proceeds go to them. However on the TfL “All money received from the ULEZ will be reinvested into improving the transport network and making London’s air cleaner.”
Another note Sadiq has a new book called “Breathe” about climate ironically the book is a made from paper, paper that comes from trees, find it strange coming from a guy who says he is imposing all this for a better air quality. At the same time he wants to build more concrete housing.
He’s also telling everyone they need an electric car while he drives around in a 5 L petrol range Rover. Very hypocritical and a very big car for such a little man. You can see he doesn’t really care about the environment.
Let's hope the Robin Hoods get to work on the problem 😊

I am a resident of Greater Manchester, and I have seen the impact of the Manchester version of the ULEZ zone. We have signs up all around major and other routes about the London Style ULEZ zone being proposed In Greater Manchester. I got so worried by it, as a Disabled Motability driver I got an EV car back in October last year. Already I have seen the pinch on my Wallet. I have seen the rise of public charges go up 4 times from Free to now £0.44 pKW (7KW charge) and £0.40 to £0.69 pKW (50 KW charge) and I can only charge my EV publicly due to the place I live. I do a lot of motorway miles and because it now costs me up to £25 to charge up and I charge up 2x to 4x times a week I have had to pay £250 to chancel my Motability agreement and ordered a self-charging Hybrid. So this ULEZ and Pay-Per-Mile have to stop and I do agree if they force these schemes on the drivers the outcome won't be pretty. Excellent video BTW :)
Mate you got the car off the government 😂 stop ya moaning
You got an electric car with no where to charge it… to avoid ULEZ charges… when Motability cars are EXEMPT from ULEZ and Congestion charges anyway! 😂 you inflicted this hardship on yourself totally voluntarily and want victim points
You and your ilk have complied yourselves into this situation and it's only gonna get worse.
Thanks to you we are where we are. Since 2015 I'm bleating on about this scam and how nothing is free and they will never be happy no matter how much you comply, but the sheep were always like "HEY LOOK, NO ROAD TAX, FREE CHARGING, NO CONGESTION CHARGE, NO ULEZ" and yaada yada yada.
Can't wait until I'm out of this shithole.
Sorry about the rant and good luck for the future sir.
Disability Car is exempt from charges anyway
Clean sir zone was put back. I don't think it has started. I will have to register in ever city soon
When Boris first announced the introduction of ULEZ in 2015 I went and upgraded my car. I only upgraded because I live on the South Circular and knew they would expand to my border.
Sadiq's mistake is expanding it even further.
It has never been about clean air, it's always been about revenue.
Pay per mile is like a corporation have a door into your bank account, with an option to increase the rate at will.
I live outside London and work at Chase Farm Hospital. I drive 21 miles every day to get to work and 21 miles return. Chase Farm Hospital will be 2 or 3 miles inside ULEZ. I will have to pay 12.5 pounds daily to go to work for 2 miles????. I specify that if I try to come by train + underground + bus, the price will be huge (over 30 pounds daily) and that it takes 2.5 hours + 2.5 hours return. 5 hours per day for travel by public transport. How can a woman who works 12-hour shifts and finishes work at 10 PM to walk through the underground and train stations and arrive home at 1 AM? Is it safe?
Though far away from London I have thought this right from the start khan should be taken to court for public endangerment
Another fantastic video, with some excellent examples and analogies. People need to see the bigger picture and not feel secure in the hope that they think it won’t affect them. The knock on effect of trades being charged will be noticed and passed on, care workers being charged too much to travel to and from work and low paid jobs not being viable etc. Pay per mile is coming, but still people believe it will be okay or might even be a better option. Your quick maths examples show even on what sounds reasonable, it is not and that will be just the start, like the CONgestion charge which has crept up from the original £5 a day when some people thought it was bearable. Share this video everywhere!!
Not long from now that little spy that you carry everywhere with you is going to inform the state of your every move. You won't need cash in your pocket. When you leave your house in the morning you will be monitored charged for walking to the train station no need for a train ticket because the phone already knows that you are onboard get off at the other side maybe you want a cup of tea no need to pay. Just put it in one handy bill at the end of the month. Take the stress out of life. Let the state do the thinking for you 🙂

Yes the cameras are there to monitor everyone. Modern cars have their own surveillance systems. If people take up cycling that is even better for them. It's control they want, imagine having an outing to the coast if you only have a bicycle. Train prices will be going up too, as that is reserved for middle income people. Great video 👍
I was in London at the weekend and the streets above were definitely not polluted, whereas i the tube you could actually see the smog.
News report today about how much gunk is on the underground, you could see the crap hanging in the air in the TV footage even as they cleaned it, and yet they were claiming it’s still safe for travellers 🤦🏽♂️
@Brown Car Guy you only have to watch secrets of the London underground TV programme who mention why there are huge fans required. These suck the pollution out of the tunnels and into the atmosphere outside and the majority of the black dust is carbon.
I am no university graduate but being into railways I know that the trains need to use brakes to stop which create carbon, the electric contact and conductor rail create emissions when they arc and the motors themselves can give off carbon emissions.
We need a website for the public to report the ulez camera locations so the public are aware (and what they look like). TFL will obviously not publish the locations. I've seen them appearing on local "non-border" roads around my way. Big brother...Big cash!

They don't even need cameras, as EU dictated remote monitoring to be fitted to all cars sold after 2024, some makers started installing it early and it is a wide reaching invasive tech. It will GPS monitor all vehicle parameters in real time and upload so if you speed, or go where they don't want you, it will automatically get you. It can also disable your car remotely too. Not paying your fines? Car won't start. There is a name for the system but I can't recall it. It's here now, search for it.
Its simple to disprove that claim of 90% . Just do what I do . When I go to a supermarket car park and I see any non compliant cars I feel duty bound to mention to them about ULEZ in the hope of them protesting . I can guarantee that if you pick any large carpark and count the non compliant ( pre 2006 P and 2016 D ) you will get over 30% non compliant.
We already pay per mile when we put fuel in a vehicle. Work out how much you put in your tank a week and how much of that is tax.
Well they"ve already started running down the road structure!!
Excellent video 👍 i cant wait to see these pressure cookers explode.
Cost of food will go up because of pay per mile to pay for the extra charges
The big brother element that is there 24/7 is depressing.
ULEZ cameras only pick up modern number plates because they are reflective .I have tried this out on car parks cameras and they don't pick up my plate but do if I go in with a reflective one 😱😱😱😱
useful
Interesting.
Thank you.
Years ago some people used to use hairspray to make their number plates reflective so the image would be blurred on the old cameras. If they used too much it made the number plate fade.
@Ang R show plates are also good. I love those ones with the italic writing that can easily be read.😏
It would be a shame if all the number plate screw’s came loose , 😜 going over speed bumps and accidentally fell off
You already pay per mile - vat and fuel duty probably work out close to 10p/mile already.
A 'friends' son. Ran up over £1000 in LEZ fines going through Bath centre.
Luckily. He had 'Hired' his vehicle out to someone at that time. The LEZ people had to go chase that individual. All he had to prove the van was hired out at that point was a legally binding English law good old common or garden contract. He managed to produce this contract when he received the fines. Funnily enough. The fines went away. 😂
A 'friend' of mine has had his transit connect from 03. fitted with a duratec engine from a mondeo. They took it for an SVA. It is now a complient van, as the SVA gave the van a new logbook with appropriate emissions bracket relative to the engine. £1500 total spend. Seems a lot. But paying off a credit card for £1500 over...
However long you want is cheaper than £9.50 a day forever.
Any chance you can send over the contract wording?
Thanks
This has nothing to do with clean air it’s all about money. If Sadik cares about having clean air he wouldn’t be driving a expensive Range Rover around polluting the air .
It’s all a Scam , Sadiq has to go he’s destroying London.
you need to get a bag for that camera
Agreed. A bag can hold an angle grinder.
Two bags sufficient. One for the front no plate and one for the rear no plate. ??
Next they could ask you to wear a number plate and say pay as you walk per mile 😂😂👍
These things need sorting, no cameras no charge.
I agree this is totally disgusting in every way but there was a similar campaign when the congestion stealth tax came in. People were refusing to pay including me.
6am on a Sunday morning in 2003 my car had disappeared from outside my house. Yes it was those lovely bailiffs. The car still had nearly £10 k of finance on it and I rang the bailiffs and they were like "tough give us the money!!!" some £1200.00.
I rang the finance company, they weren't interested, I was completely powerless. I had to use the car to go to work to pay the finance. I couldn't keep my job was just outside London and would be two hours each way on public transport. I had to take a much lower paid job nearer to home. Couldn't pay finance on something I could no longer use to earn and the finance company (Black Horse Finance) slapped a £10k charging order on my house.
I utterly hate the way government and councils abuse the motorist because they can systematically single you out as an individual and bully you.
If anything is in your name they've got you!!
I posted a link to a video about an EV almost costing a guy his life. RUclips seems to have deleted the comment tho, has happened to me a few times with EV comments now. I miss that thing we used to have, it's getting hard to remember the name these day's.. I think it was called freedom lol
Also the pay per mile will probably be 12/15p per mile as that's how it is already with new car contracts. You're aloud to do 15/25 thousand miles a year depending on what manufacturer you buy with. Then you get charged 12/15p per mile for every mile over.
Alot of people still don't seem to realise you're limited with the things you can do with a new car until it's paid off. There's a guy on RUclips lost his Bmw cause he started modding it as soon as he got it, he didn't realise it said in the contract that you couldn't do anything to the car until the final payment's had been made lol
Correct, I had to tell my insurance how far I planned to travel. Despite havulaws that protect me from invasive contrary to a private life laws.
It does seem hypocritical that the man telling everyone to buy electric cars is driving around in a 5 Litre petrol driven Range Rover. Such a large car for a tiny little man also! He can’t be that bothered about the environment. It’s almost like he’s just trying to steal more money from the people to pay for all his miss management. It would be much cheaper to get a mayor that can run things properly in the first place without thinking “Well, i’ll just get more money from the people.”
I dont own a car anymore, but drive for a living everyday. Have 3 motorbikes. They are putting in total control plans, all done via camera so they can just fine you for whatever they want. It has to be total non compliance, kill the cameras, no plates, false plates etc, non payment of fines. I will start when it reaches where I live (not in London)
Everything seems to be the 'thin end of the wedge', implement it , get us used to it, then turn the screw and gradually crank it up . I'm sick of it.Very well presented video , thanks jv
Fuel tax at moment is 52p per litre and 20% vat tax on that! It’s not cheap!!
I will never pay the government for me to go see my granddaughter and daughters
This is not just for your cars . It's framework for your digital currency and socal credit system.
So as a motorist, are you expected to keep track of all the zones you’ve driven through and when, and then take the onus of visiting the appropriate websites in time to pay the charges? Given that there will be such a wealth of information available on your movements, why the hell can’t you just be sent a bill, say once a month?
It’s just like the Dartford Crossing online charge, the first time I fell foul of that I didn’t even know about it. A few signs above the road “Pay online”, no explanation; who has to pay? For what?
Passive-aggressive behaviour from authorities.
@@BigReptileCrew you can bet we'll all gave to have monitoring devices put in cars...
Totally agree re: the Dartford tunnel crossing. I realised on the Kent side when DartCharge came in, the toll booths were removed & everything shifted online that there were NO actual signs along the M20 from coast/Dover/Eurotunnel indicating that the Dartford crossing was subject to a TOLL. It still says nothing except the cryptic "Pay Online".
Pay what? For what? For where? Totally unclear. First off, it's highly presumptuous to think everyone has immediate internet access & I'm quite sure newly arrived visitors on their way to Essex, the North or Scotland with limited English won't understand it's a TOLL, nor be able to negotiate an English website. (Highly doubt there's any other helpful languages). Personally I think it's done intentionally to confuse and then they have the nerve to periodically moan that thousands of foreign trucks & cars have not paid and pursue them way after the fact for outrageous fines. Well how many of those innocently had no idea ?
Besides, the costs of the construction of the bridge and tunnel were paid back more than 20 years ago, after which the crossing was supposed to have been free.
It's diabolical. Another indication of the blatant lies and fraud perpetrated on the motoring cash cow public.
@@queenberengaria9626 exactly not everyone has a smartphone or even any mobile phone, or even internet access, so what then? if someone NEEDs to cross it ?
@@queenberengaria9626 Yes, exactly - it's totally unfriendly. Surprisingly it's run by the same company who run a lot of the French motorway tolls, which are much more explanatory.
When it caught me out, I was on the way out of the country, on holiday. Even if I had understood it, the last thing you want to have to do when abroad on holiday is remember to go onto their stupid website (with your possibly poor connection and roaming data charges) to pay the fee. Because of the timing they impose, I had no opportunity to pay whilst still in the UK (by midnight the next day - why?).
These cameras are just another way for councils to rob people. I got caught by some spurious bus lane camera in Bristol that was basically entrapment due to the way it was positioned on a particular piece of road. I fought it and won the case but how they were even legally allowed to position it in that way in the first place makes me question the whole system. These ULEZ cameras are no different.
They ordered those camera before anybody was even consulted , Khan's Cameras.
They will get ripped down by the masses. Even people that wouldn’t normally break the law will rip those things down. Xxxx
It is tragic these ULEZ cameras are being vandalised...
Isn’t it?
@@BrownCarGuy It's my biggest fear...
Great up date thank you.
Wonder if Ikea in Croydon will be worrying on how many customers they will loose if ULEZ goes in.
Maybe they will move on the outside of the M25
no more hots dogs via the back entrance exit doh! there is no escape. ..
I live in central London just outside the congestion charge zone (another piece of thinking that focuses on money rather than what it actually was meant to) and I have seen these cameras popping up everywhere but never knew what they where?
Initially I thought they were road tax cameras 🤷
Where I live around Tower Bridge there has been a large scale program lately of reducing road space down to one lane in either direction so the remaining space can be made into a segregated cycle lane. There has also been a lot of new CPZ Controlled parking zones enforced which means in a certain area of multiple streets unless you buy a yearly permit you are unable to park there from 8am-11pm including weekends.
It has become a very hard city to live in now for the motorist especially as we are an easy source of needed income pushed through under the guise of "environmental improvements, air quality and way of life"
It's sneaky how they are pushing through all these laws without being honest and truthful to us the public.
Luckily, for now, my 2011 motorcycle is OK, but it's crazy that an old 100cc motorbike that's doing 80+mpg is going to be charged the same as my R reg car.
We just finished watching season one of a series on Prime that finished with a "cliffhanger". We went to continue with season two, and it is £2.50 per episode. They can stick it.
Quite right!
My tax is £130, just gone up to 150, when there are no compliant cars they'll move the goalposts and charge lower emission cars.
I am so grateful for this kind of channels. It gives me some hope in the crazy world. Thank you!!!

Honestly shame to all the Tesla buyers wasted their money, they really didn't need to go this route waste of money! and these cameras are illegal how did Tfl get away with this?
Oh and to mention, roads are so empty nowadays cars are much more cleaner so this ulez is a total fraud!

@@steveparsons2575 They will simply deduct it from social credits.
That electronic thing your hopelessly addicted to,yeah that !
They will treat bicycles like cars if you accept anything. Give them an inch and they will take a mile and YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR IT.
Look at the rollout of the (new) free bicycle programme in Southall. They are putting GPS trackers on the bikes, to monitor where they go and what distance they do. Look it up. Their real purpose is testing a bicycle tracking system with GPS and geofencing. From there, it goes problem-reaction-solution. Problems will be highlighted in the press with nuisance cyclists and e-scooters. Then the public will call for action. Then comes the proposal to only allow bicycles on the road if they are tracked. This is very easy to do with cameras. After that, charging.
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING us to day with ULEZ Your so informative and talking down to earth for makeing ULEZ understandable thank andy❤❤❤❤❤total respect to you sir ❤
