Yep, 55 here, I was stationed in Germany in the Army when this album came out and I first heard it. Since then I've owned it on album, cassette, CD and now iPod. Whitesnake should send me a Christmas card every year for funding their retirement.

I've been a follower of David Coverdale since his Deep Purple and early Whitesnake days in the 70's, and I truly feel that out of his entire catalog of work, the "Slide It In" album is still his best work to date - 2022. Him and Sykes just "worked". Too bad they had a falling-out.
One fateful night in 1984, after leaving my then girlfriend’s house, I got in my brother’s Cutlass Supreme and upon starting the car this song came on and I was mesmerized and frozen in my seat, until the song ended. I had never heard of Whitesnake, until that night when the DJ on WPYX 106 in Albany, NY mentioned it, after the song ended. That was a good night in the spring of 1984.

I grew up during the days of Deep Purple, Foghat & Nazareth
The 80's were decent, but by no means the best. For rock, the 60's were best, 70's for country, 40's/50's for R&B, and 30's for Jazz/Blues.
