Fangs. Fangs for sure. While riding my pint yesterday I took a big ol Nose Dive. Luckily i ended up on the grass side of the pavement. Only thing hurt was my pride with few scratches on elbow and knee.
@@followdon I was riding on redwood mode but the whole time I thought I was on pacific. Completely misjudged top speed. I don't think I even noticed push back tbh 😂 I was just enjoying too much.
Buying? None, really. I was fortunate enough to get a set of BANG bumpers, and since I've had the same bumpers and Float Plates for a year and a half, I think they'll last me a while. Currently...I'm hoping to find parts and pieces for Frankenwheels. ⚗️🧪⚛️🥽
I look forward to seeing more on that front. I’m curious to know what’s possible when the community has full control over the ecosystem has the latitude to innovate.
I just bought a used XR yesterday and I'm kicking myself for not buying it earlier... It's the best purchase I've ever made the thing is addicting! I killed the battery last night on my way back home this Maghandle looks perfect. Thanks for the vid 👍
Which do you think you will pick? I still like the Maghandle Pro for its aesthetics. The rubber on mine has definitely worn out again. But luckily I don’t have to carry my board often. I have less pain carrying it from the Maghandle position than the bumper position. The center of mass of the board is more centralized. Also, because I have stainless steel plates underneath, my board is heavier than usual.
I agree it's pricey! And I'm glad I received one as a gift. As of late I've appreciated the handle more. I routinely carry my Onewheel up and down steps and down a hill near my apartment so that I don't cause a regen warning at the start of my rides. Carrying from the front handle, the weight of the board will subtly swing, making the board a little heavier. I've had some back issues arise, likely because of that. Carrying from the middle distributes the weight much better. The Maghandle Pro rubber has started to fray, as expected. I bought a new Maghandle Pro in flourescent yellow to go on my GT. Once I swap it for the handle included with the GT, I'll have a backup handle for my XR. It's a bummer the [rubber's] durability is an issue for such an expensive product.
The way you normally would set it down works perfectly for the goofy footed riders. I actually don’t mind the tire side being on my leg. Assuming I don’t mind maybe getting a little dirty, I think I walk too aggressively and it’s more comfortable to have that bounce against my leg than the fender.
I find that I don't use my mag handle that much on my XR. It doesn't make carrying it much less awkward. Oh yeah I just got to that part of your video. So you get it. I don't even like the fender rubbing against my leg. I usually hold the OW with two hands if I have to carry it, sometimes on my shoulder and I've carried it that way quite a bit.
Love the shoulder carry with fender on of course. My very first video on this channel showed that approach. But ideally we spend more time riding with the board carrying us and less time carrying the board to begin with!
No. At the end of the day, I like having the Maghandle Pro on my XR if I’m carrying it far. Having the weight distributed more evenly is better than the front carry experience. And I prefer it’s look to all the alternatives I’ve seen. Those benefits outweigh all the cons for me.
Definitely helpful in deciding on getting a mag handle. How do you like your float plates. They look like they're made out of metal; do you notice that it's easier to stop with those and do they damage the pavement or concrete when you do?
I like the plates. They are the stainless steel plates from Armor Dilloz. I tend not to quick stop. I’m a classic controlled heel lift type of guy lol. The pavement or concrete is fine when they interact. It’s more sliding or tapping when I come in contact with them. My main motivation for buying the plates were to protect my bumpers when attempting curb climbs. I’m still practicing that maneuver and I’m still trash at it for now 🤪
You can build one yourself, for half the price. 😎 ruclips.net/video/PZHXNsdi4eI/видео.html I'll actually be making a few battery packs for those who want to build a portable charger, but don't have the ability to build batteries.
I honestly did. I think things got better when I noticed the groove that the cable needed to sit in. And when I stopped trying to do it on camera looking over the board.
Is it normal for the handle to rub a little on the wheel while riding? Just installed mine and took it out for a test drive and noticed a rub with every wheel revolution.
Mine does not. It can be tightened if necessary, also. The kit comes with the tools you’d need to adjust the tightness. I saw the Float Life video that mentioned rattling on the GT. I’m swapping my GT Maghandle Pro for a different color, and I’ll be able to tighten it as needed.
What accessories have you considered buying for your Onewheel?
Fangs. Fangs for sure. While riding my pint yesterday I took a big ol Nose Dive. Luckily i ended up on the grass side of the pavement. Only thing hurt was my pride with few scratches on elbow and knee.
Yikes! Glad you’re okay. Were you riding fast against pushback? Accelerating quickly? What do you think caused the nosedive?

I went the same route, buying a used XR. Super excited for you! The Onewheel is so much fun! Thanks for watching and stay safe out there!
Thank you for your honest review. I've been debating which handle to go with

Great production and editing! Thanks for this review, been trying to decide whether to keep mine or return it. Lot of money for a little handle...

Great video Don! Keep up the youtube grind!
I really appreciate you watching and supporting! Thank you, Matthew!

Fair point for sure! Do you use the Maghandle on your board? Cons taken into account, I love having it!
I do use it. Made the purchase when I got the board. I knew it would be something I wanted. Very happy to have gotten it.
@@onewheelfederation8033 Ah, I see it in your profile picture! Awesome! Glad you like it! Am I right to assume you ride goofy footed?
No, I ride regular. But I try to ride goofy now and then. Just feels like something I should know how to do.
@@onewheelfederation8033 so you rest the tire against your leg and set the board down straight for regular riding? Just curious.
Good stuff Don!
Thank you 🙏🏾

That helmet is so sick! What is it called if you dont mind me asking?
Thank you! It’s the Lumos Matrix helmet.

boardbank is the accessory i most want right now, very expensive tho
I had to Google that one. Pricey but it would definitely be nice to have!

@@TheBoardGarage i wish, im not crafty enough to do that
Where do you get that helmet???, I’ve been looking for one like that
I bought my helmet from Apple, so that i could try it on and ensure it fit okay. But you can find it at lumoshelmet.co also!
What kind of helmet is that? The one with the lights
It’s the Lumos Matrix helmet.
Ihad a tough time screwing the mount together?
