The Vega is your favorite tire? Gasp! Just kidding. We all are different and ride different and we all like what we like. No problem with that. At 1:38, I love how one of your daughters just shoots by on her Pint in the background. So cool. On your shelf, it looks more like the first iPod ever, not the first iPad. I know, I know. I'm nitpicking. And watching your videos does give me hope that things will return to some semblance of the way they were, faith that they will, and I can always feel the love. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort. It is truly appreciated.
I have a few more tires to try but after 2 different tires I go with Vega. However the Burris is growing on me. Yep iPod not iPad. Lol. Things with get better I know they will. We just have to keep fighting for it everyday.
Hi Scot, thanks for this video. I was in shock watching you wash the Onewheel in a sink with all that water. I've always been under the impression that you're you're not supposed to get the onewheel wet like you mentioned and I'm glad it has not caused any problems for you. I've been using that Onewheel eraser that you showed in the video and it's worked out fine for me. I too like the grippiness of the foot pads and I constantly clean them with that eraser and it worked out great so far. I think it's like 12 bucks and I'm still using it a year later from when I last bought it. I'm just definitely afraid of getting my board too wet.
Ok this video is packed with all kinds of news. 1. can't wait for Sunday's video, 2. great tips on how to clean the Onewheel 3. can't wait to hear your thoughts on the whisper
I've done this, several months later opened it up... and found tons of battery corrosion !!!. I would strongly recommend spraying from the underside (spray upsidedown) , so water does not run down/into any openings. Take off the rear footpad and let it all dry out.
Great video man I just ordered theses really cool rad hyperdyed custom made wheels to switch my wheels out with new ones and I also like to wash my board all over it self to look clean again:)
My board is all white, I remove the fender and put it in the dishwasher :) it comes out soo fresh and clean. Ps I agree with you about the stock tire. I’ve tried all the other options on other people’s boards.
Great video as always and very helpful! I have a quick question since you have been changing a lot of tires recently. Do you have to wait a while before you ride it after putting on a new tire, or are you good to go once it's on?
I'm with you with the best tire is the Vega ! ;) miss that edges so much.. :( with my stance my 6.0 (5.5 cause of rounded edges) is unstable because i ride with my feet parralel sticking out of the pads not in diagonal in the front pad like a lot of people :) the more i ride my ff treated the more i hate it lol Me i don't wash like that is to much water in lol just 2-3 window cleaner in each pads, i rub and i rinse only on it and take care water don't go in. I can't wait to hear your opinion on whisper tire cause you like a more resistance ride like me and not nimble like others. Cheers from France hope US will be better.. cause a lot more coronavirus contagions than us, stay safe :( you don't live in a big city so it's better for you.
Thanks for the good wishes. Same to you in France. Crazy to see the world facing the same issues. I just got shipment # today on tires. You stay safe as well.
I was shocked to see your Onewheels go under the faucet! But then I realized my onewheel has been in the pouring rain multiple times with no issues. Very helpful video your grip tape looks pristine, and looks easier to scrub than with a rubber grip tape eraser too
get badger plug for charging port and power button :) no more worries of water and dirt getting in them. Also you have no fear of water damage 😳😳not badgered I’m assuming from you
I know I guess not. This is how I have done it from day one. I do try to make sure the water doesn't go down the sides. No it's not badgered. I have seen a few boards with that done.
Everything about this it's the opposite off my experience. My Vega kicks up way more junk than my burris treaded 6.0 tx33. I expected the opposite but 100% the vega kicks up way more junk. Also the Vega is junk right until it's about ready to change, then it feels ok
Lol this guy is nut bag. You literally put your Onewheel in the sink? Maybe try compressed air and using an air pencil. You can blow all of the dirt out. If your concerned about your grip tape…take your footpad off and wash it separately. You are really pushing it by cleaning it in the sink.
Thank you for providing us with entertainment during these dire times.
Yep that why we are posting so much right now. to give an break from all the other stuff.
Lily is going to win the pint! Go Lily!!! Love your channel man!! God bless you guys!! Keep preaching the good news!!
Thanks so much and lily will be pleased that you picked her.

This was what I was gonna do but glad to get it verified with 2 years of testing. Thanks!
Yep and good luck on the the cleaning.

Yeah I knew some would be shocked that I put it under water. I make sure it doesn't go on the side of the the Onewheel.
If you run out of eraser, you can buy a belt sander cleaner for 10$. It is bigger and will work just as well

I can't wait either.
Everyone should keep their Onewheel clean lol.
Yes they should Holly. We need to tell that to they kids.

Thanks for for sharing what you have learned. Didn't know that.

Jared Jeanotte LOL what????
Alex Bowden haha 😆 it works I use it for my small cooler too. It makes the whites white!
Oh that's a great Idea for the fender. I had a white one fro a while. Never thought of that.
Jared Jeanotte Ohhh bro I thought you said you but your board in the dishwasher HAHAHA. I was like... 😳
my vega tire feels little bumpy and its brand new onewheel... Just purchased that last week
How many miles do you have on the tire?
Scot Mendenhall 50miles

Have you ever rode a one wheel in the rain before or got it soaking wet ?
yes and I let it dry before I plugged it in to charge and it was ok. To be honest I have gotten to soaked so many times.

wow to is it safe to wash front pad which have a sensors?? They want you to stay away from water :)
I know I know but it's how I have washed my Onewheel for years. I guess I am lucky

gotta feed the herd around here. lol
I've been washing my xr like a dog
Ever do give aways for your old used parts that you have tried out?! Would love to see a give away to a sub.
We are going to do that with our tires soon.

Yeah a lot of people feel the same way as you.
My wife would make me sleep in the garage if I washed it in the sink.
Ha, Then I wouldn't wash it in the sink. lol
Oh hell no. Lol
so your saying you wouldn't put yours under the sink water? haha
Onewheel + water = waterlogged 😑
True
HFL!!

well that's a first....... I have never been called a nut bag. lol
