This video inspired me to do the tire swap myself. I was absolutely thrilled when my tire arrived from TFL shop with a ton of awesome swag that Brandon threw in for me with a hand-written note! I couldn't believe all the cool stuff you guys sent, custom Brodi Pokémon card, TFL rolling papers, stickers, iron-ons,a koozie, a stress ball, a key chain, a bracelet and a sweet Float Life tire cap. You guys are my heroes. Mad love from Texas. For those of you who may be like me and thought that this was a little above your comfort level; I would encourage you to press on, the video walks you through absolutely every step, when in doubt watch it again. I can't stress enough how much easier taking off the Vega tire is when you follow the exact instructions Jeff lays out in the video and you'll be home free.
Notes for things I missed or was confused by in the video: * the anti-fatigue mat as a surface for kneeling and protecting the hub is a MUST * Pedro's tire levers also deserve to be called out, was able to get some locally from REI for $6 * If you happen to use green Slime brand sealant, the underside of the cap has a valve core removal tool built in * wooden blocks should support the edges of the rim, not just the tire, because you don't want that rim (or cable) getting smashed into the floor during your stomp * the stomp takes some force, but not a crazy amount. it's about follow-through more than hitting it really hard. * not tightening the hub bolts fully until the axle cover plates are on * my tire initially wasn't pressurizing at all, I had to kinda smush it around until I heard the air compressor start to work harder * I used Sprayway glass cleaner as a lube, which worked perfectly. one side set at about 30psi, the other about 45psi
My stock Vega took an absurd amount of force to un-seat, I ended up standing on top of the wooden post and jumping. It was a chore The Enduro I put on is a LOT softer, especially the sidewalls. It set at 15psi (about 17psi for the other side) for me, and it was a whole lot easier to un-seat (I tried with it too, to see if it was me or the Vega lol). In the end, it's not too bad, but I'll get the proper tool next time lol
Just finished replacing my stock tire with the Burris trail pro tire. If I had to give folks tips I would say that the hardest part by far is getting the new tire entirely on the hub. Something that helps significantly is getting the painted side hot, hotter than you think because it makes it easier to move and then try really hard. Best of luck too all you future tire changers out there!!! -o-
Just got a new Maxxis 6.5 on my XR with this video's guidance. That whole "finesse with the tire lever, tire in the channel" thing was a TOTAL lifesaver. Thanks!
14:18 aligning paint with valve stem on Enduro tire results in reverse rotation for directional tread; many comments out there that reversed tire is not an issue however. All in all a good video and tire changed worked on a late version of XR that had one additional connector harness than video, aside from the alignment/rotation with Enduro.
"Don't forget to to turn your tab so you know which beer is yours!" BRO! I've been doing this for years and never met anyone else who does this! I literally just yelled at my screen 😂
Hahahahaha! When I first got to Sac, Jeff and I turned our beers the same way and had to have an old western standoff to choose who switched. I now turn my beers to the left instead of the right 😂😂😂🤙 -BH
Dude my hole stem popped out! So I’m like let’s watch a video on how to put it back in…… long story (very) short, looks like I’m paying for shipping and handling 😅
I know a guy whose been riding a t11 for quite some time, he’s the best kid in the neighborhood, although the lore is often misunderstood, he had to forge his own floating beams, to enable the tires seams, to fit between his foot pads, for the ride of his dreams. For this balanced blend, and perfect tend, enabled him to nudge, over things I (a mere mortal) could never recommend, through these actions he has shown many another that this floating lifestyle is far more than a trend, a device from the future that fiction will never quite comprehend.
I need that Xtra Rad for my commute! Took my sister in from Tennessee to help her get out of an abusive relationship and am letting her use my car! This tire would make my commute waaaaay more enjoyable!!! PS y’all are awesome!!!!
Just completed my first tire change...have the Enduro on my XR....looking forward to riding, Thanks Jeff..couldn't have done it without this video!!!!!
I’ve watched this video so many times for all my tire swaps, and I’ll get frustrated with whatever’s going on and watching this video, all the movements in combination with the music is just so relaxing and satisfying
New OW rider here! I recently bought some of your plates and sidekicks to protect a lightly used V1 (36 original miles) I've already doubled the miles in less than a week. Super stoked about the mini paper airplane kit and beer cozy sent with my order! The original owner must have floated on 5 psi, since he had it because the tire seems warped after I inflated it to 20psi, and wobbles at anything over 10 mph. With the plates and sidekicks installed, my V1 looks almost pristine minus the old vega tire. A fresh Trail Pro or Xtra Rad tire would totally inflate my new love for the OW. Already considering purchasing an XR or Two-X battery to extend the range so I can float further! Thanks for your consideration, Richmond V
Thanks for this video Jeff!! Did my first tire change today and I now feel super comfortable taking my board apart. Getting that VEGA off is a real hassle wow!
By FAR the best tire change video out there. And fantastic advice from a TRUE PRO! Thanks for making this guys! Wish I would have had it 6 months ago when I changed my own at home. FLOAT ON! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
I did this thing two days ago, and now youtube algorithm tells that there is a video. I could have saved an hour of my time sweating while wresting with the old vega. Oh well, good video for others.
Awesome video! Just received my Whisper 6 and had no idea how to change the tire. Jeff makes it look so easy that I was sure it would be much harder than it looked. I'm so stoked that by following this video exactly, the tire change was a breeze! Thank you so much for the video Jeff!!
Great video - thanks for posting! Super easy to follow along. One point to add - make sure to connect the barrel connector plugs into the right spot when putting it back together! I didn't realize the first time I did they are color coded. Also, works just as easy with a bike pump.
I would love any tire. I ride every single day and actually bought my Onewheel to help Me with my job. Today I ordered a second XR for my wife. These things have changed my life, no joke. The Xtra rad would be my choice as I currently have a Burris treaded on but I’m learning I like the street/ freestyle riding best.
Best Onewheel tire change video out there ! I’ve probably watched your previous tire change video 10 times . I can’t wait to try the TFL Trail Pro tire !!
Absolutely best OneWheel tire change tutorial. I definitely need the XtraRad Tire - Pint 🍻 I want a more stable ride. The Pint is just a little to squirrely for me.
LEGIT TUTORIAL! Straight forward instructions and good visuals. Thank you for this. I feel like I can tackle this myself now. THANKS for sharing your tips with hand placement etc. and of course that dry McCosker humor :) I want that new Burris treaded- it’s already my favorite tire. If y’all did extra R&D I’m sure it’s even better, mmmmk! Float on, my guy! 🤘😘
Just picked up a pint from a new dealer in Wisconsin. Been great to feed my snowboarding/carving itch! I’d love to see what they hype is about with the Burris XrraRad tire and put it thru the ringer. Keep up the great work and great videos 🙏🏽 I even already have the blue magic stay a float bottle waiting!
Last night I followed this video to a T and my Enduro install was flawless! Thanks to TFL for this vid for sure! The toughest part for me was making sure I put my Enduro on the hub in the right direction as it's a directional tire.
Need the XtraRad for my Pint because I'm old and need a more stable ride at speed and want to hit the trails in OREGON. I hear how great the XtraRad is for ALL terrains! I'll name my first grandchild after you. I'll write you in for President. My wife will personally thank you for making me stop with the whining about not having the XtraRad.
My XR won't even be here for another week but I already ordered this tire and the pro tool kit from C&R. Sounds like that stock tire lasts a long time tho. Thx for the vid! Super SUPER helpful!!
Thanks, followed this video to help me do my first tire change. Went from the stock Vega to Burris Trail Pro, it is sweeet. Thanks for the video, getting the tire off by smacking that wood eas especially helpful :) Got scary when I was pumping it as the psi increased but it poped in there. Can't wait to really test it out. Thanks guys.
The Burris Treaded changed my whole trail experience, it is so much more stable on the dirt Gnar. This tire has made me want only technical trails, I can't get enough! Looking so forward to Float Life's improvement on perfection!
Can't thank you enough for this. Just followed it and changed my first tire because my original was simply worn through and leaking slime like a shower head. No way I would have figured this out on my own, I would have had to send it in.
Thanks for this! Just bought mine and was concerned how to change the tire when I needed to, seems pretty darn easy. Will definitely need to pick up a tire from you all as I want to do more trail riding than anything with mine. CAN'T WAIT TO GET MINE, I JUST ORDERED IT 20 MINUTES AGO!! :D
I want that Trail Pro! Cause trail riding is the best part of the Onewheel! Would love to try this new compound. Currently running the Burris treaded and love it. Would love to see how much better the trail pro is.
Looking forward to getting my hands on that Burris Trail Pro tire. My stock Vega is slipping on wet trails and feels "squirrely" at speed on paved roads.... :(
My original Vega is starting to get really worn out after about 1200km. Threads are staring showing and uneven sides of the wheel. I would really like to replace it with a Trail Pro as I am almost always offroad when not commuting. Really good video for tire swap. 👌 Probably the best one I have seen yet. Keep doing awesome stuff! 😁
I would like the trail pro! I live in Tahoe and the diverse array of mountain bike trails will pair nicely with that tire! Just decked out my board with V3 float plates, a Kush Pad and Fender deletes so this tire will be the perfect TFL addition to my board. You guys rock!
Out of every tire I have ever tried, the Burris 6 treaded is my favorite. It is perfect on every surface. smooth and stable in the street, an absolute beast in the trails.
OK. Just did my first tire change. This helped A LOT. I would just add that the most important tool was left out. Shop vac. Not everyone will be working on a brand new board.
Wow Jeff, LOVE the updated tire change video- the video quality is catching up with your Onewheeling skills! I'd love to try out that Burris x TFL XtraRad.
Burris trail pro would be awesome! I live in an area surrounded by muddy trails and metroparks that I would love to explore deeper, a treaded tire would certainly be useful.
i always ride on parks where there is a lot of grass, and the vega slick tire makes it a little harder if there is little hill to climb and also i find the tires with tread much more robust end beautiful on onewheel. I've seen a video where this guys said that the onewheel is much more maneuverable with this burris treaded tire. thanks!!!
Best tire change video! Just changed my tire following this dope how to vid.... 💯 on point! Everything you showed worked perfectly. Took me under 50min in my first tire change ever!! Was so easy! And i think it was so easy because of your instructions! That and beadbuddy from Cory made it a breeze! Tire set at 33psi!!!
Thank you Float Life Fam! Took some time, but I finally got it done! Mid compound Enduros are tough suckers! I needed to put my knees into it like a Russian Masseuse. Bead set at 15 and 39psi. The new feel is night and day from the stock Vega. Stoked to ride!
Would love to test out the TRAIL PRO because I already have the Hoosier Whisper 6 and need a tire with some treads to Shredd the trails after the lockdown!
Super stoked about the NEW Burris & TFL Trail Pro tire! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for - a treaded tire made with a softer compound. I love trail riding, but the old treaded tires were too hard for really good traction on pavement. The fact that it’s custom-made for the Onewheel means it’s gonna be sick! Can’t wait to try this sucka!!!
This was a great tutorial. Got the Hoosier T2 from you. I have like 4 sets of Allen wrenches, they all went into hiding. Took apart the board, didn't realize how much mud gets in there. Did the two board tire stomp that was fun. A little struggle, popped the tire and go green goo all over me like I just took a Bukake from The Hulk. New tire slid on in and popped at 55 PSI. I didnt have a valve stem remover so I poured in the goo from the bead area then inflated. Then deflated to 18 PSI .
Hey Jeff! Thanks for making sweet blue float plates! My favorite color. Anyway need that new trail tire so I can run from zombies. This corona has me thinking like walking dead is becoming more real.
I'd love to get the TFL Trail Pro! I still have the original Vega wheel while riding on trails...which hasn't been the best when you're taking it 16 miles and halfway you get to a really Rocky part of the trail and the wheel starts slipping everywhere. Also broke my collarbone back in August and had to get a plate put in lol but that hasn't stopped me from riding!
Definitely would love to try the Burris x TFL Trail Pro for my Onewheel Plus. Been loving the Burris TX-33 i ordered from you all a while back, but well, shes about on her last tread. Looking forward to some more miles on the TP, and as always, appreciate the giveaways and great customer service. Ride on 👍👊
I definitely need a better Pint tire. I hate the wobble on the street and haven't been getting good traction on the trail. Looking for the best recommendation. If it's the Xtra Rad, then that's what I want. Been riding every day since WFH started. It's been great!
This video inspired me to do the tire swap myself. I was absolutely thrilled when my tire arrived from TFL shop with a ton of awesome swag that Brandon threw in for me with a hand-written note! Plot twist, you did meet somebody who does this, and you drank their beer.
I’ve done that for 20 years
I've usually met at least 2 other people at every gathering I went to that did this lol.
Dude my hole stem popped out!
So I’m like let’s watch a video on how to put it back in…… long story (very) short, looks like I’m paying for shipping and handling 😅
Just performed my first tire change thanks to you Jeff. Was actually insanely easy
I know a guy whose been riding a t11 for quite some time, he’s the best kid in the neighborhood, although the lore is often misunderstood, he had to forge his own floating beams, to enable the tires seams, to fit between his foot pads, for the ride of his dreams. Will Brandt the nudge part blew your cover 🤣🤣 what up dude!
I need that Xtra Rad for my commute! Took my sister in from Tennessee to help her get out of an abusive relationship and am letting her use my car! This tire would make my commute waaaaay more enjoyable!!! PS y’all are awesome!!!!
You know how to make a video. Super clear, good pace, thorough, just the right kind of loose & funny.
I appreciate that!
Trail pro all the way. I have been needing a new tire. Float Life is the best!
Just completed my first tire change...have the Enduro on my XR....looking forward to riding, Thanks Jeff..couldn't have done it without this video!!!!!

The better demo of all. I started off over muscling, watched this and 👍✌️
I did this thing two days ago, and now youtube algorithm tells that there is a video. I could have saved an hour of my time sweating while wresting with the old vega. Oh well, good video for others.
Thanks Jeff! Danny and I just got our tire changed in about 20 mins with your help! You da man 🎉🎉🎉

Extremely helpful video!!! Just used this for my first tire change and it went smooth as butter! Thanks, guys!

Never done something like this but I did it thanks to this video!!!
I had a hard time with my first tire change. Went much better with the technique you showed in this video. Thanks for sharing.
Woohoo!
Did two tire changes at once with this video! First and second change ever!
Rad!
The Burris Treaded changed my whole trail experience, it is so much more stable on the dirt Gnar. This tire has made me want only technical trails, I can't get enough! Looking so forward to Float Life's improvement on perfection!
Smooth change yet again thanks to the man himself. Thanks Jeff 🤙
Happy to help!
Great video Jeff-the nuances about the tire bead and rim are priceless. Thanks!
You bet!
Thanks for the easy video. That tire is a game changer in the woods!!!
Oh man that is awesome.....I need this offroad trail tire. Sweet treads.... great video man!!

Offroad on the Onewheel XR is super fun and a new threaded tire would make it whole new more fun experience:)
This video was so helpful and the step by step was very good. I'm happy I found this video. Thank you Float Life.
Would love the Burris/TFL treaded for the XR. Looking to step up on off-road capabilities
Trail pro 🤙 thanks for always helping the community, stay awesome :)
Alex Bowden got u ✊
I would like the trail pro! I live in Tahoe and the diverse array of mountain bike trails will pair nicely with that tire! Just decked out my board with V3 float plates, a Kush Pad and Fender deletes so this tire will be the perfect TFL addition to my board. You guys rock!
New Trail Pro! Who doesn’t want to try a new fresh TFL approved tire!
Out of every tire I have ever tried, the Burris 6 treaded is my favorite. It is perfect on every surface. smooth and stable in the street, an absolute beast in the trails.
Then you're going to LOVE the Trail Pro
I'm super jazzed about the new TFL Trail Pro! My current tire is starting to show its age, and the time to change is near. Great video BTW.
I’ve been riding a Unilli slick on my plus for a whole year starting yesterday. I was ready to pull the trigger so needing this is perfect timing.
Thanks a million bud! No lie best step by step video. I just did my tire change all thanks to you folks! Keep floating!
Did my first tire change and this walk through was awesome! Great tips along the way. You weren’t kidding when you said stomp on the board.
Oh the trail pro is a must have for my pint. Lots of trail around where I live that I haven't been able to explore with the stock tire.
Ej Acosta trail Pro is XR. The XtraRad is for the Pint.
@@TheFloatLife oh man, does that mean I have to get an XR?
That Burris Trail Pro looks like it would do amazing on the beach and forest trails down here in FL! Ready to try a tire change on my own now.
Love my Burris, quite a few km on it already. Stoked to try the new Trail Pro.
Jeff that was fantastic made changing my tire so easy! First time was a piece of cake
Happy to help!
The New Trail Pro! My current Burris has treated me well I can’t wait to see what this new compound has to offer! 🙏🏻
Thanks Jeff! I swapped out the stock Vega this morning for the Burris in your video. The video was super helpful. Already took it out on a trail ride.
Burris trail pro would be awesome! I live in an area surrounded by muddy trails and metroparks that I would love to explore deeper, a treaded tire would certainly be useful.
For a big fella riding the XR on trails, a treaded tire is exactly what I need!!
I appreciate you making this video. It made my tire swap stress free 🙏
Glad we could help!
i always ride on parks where there is a lot of grass, and the vega slick tire makes it a little harder if there is little hill to climb and also i find the tires with tread much more robust end beautiful on onewheel.
33 wow really man im on bout 1600 miles original tire keep it at 20 psi no issues. Only backup currently is hoosiee slick
The wood plank to strip the bead is genius. Made my 2nd tire change way easier than the first
I need a Burris 6 slick in my life!
I'll buy the bearings!
Thanks guys you rock for this video which is awesome! And this opportunity is soo cool!
That Burris treaded looks super nice! I’ve been looking to ride trails more and that would be a huge help to me!
Gunning for that Trail Pro because I already know it’s going to be the best treaded tire available for the Onewheel!
Some of the trails here on Oahu are really gnarly. Could really use that Buris for my XR!
I want that new Burris TFL Trail Pro because Float Life is awsummm 👌🏻
Love the new video man. way more classy than the original I used to change my first tire over. Would love to try out the Trail Pro!
Slick. I followed yer instructions and they were PERFECT!
Great tutorial. I would love to try out the XtraRad Tire on my Pint for the extra stability
I'd love a Trail Pro because my stock tire has me living more of the Sink Life than the Float Life.
This video is a gem!! Beautifully made, humor and the best explation. With other videos it literally cost me 3 hours, with this one 30 mins
That Xtra Rad for my pint would be awesome eliminating those wobbles!
Float on!
Thanks Jeff! Finally decided to swap tires. This guide was great.
Happy to help!
Hey Jeff! Thanks for making sweet blue float plates! My favorite color. Anyway need that new trail tire so I can run from zombies. This corona has me thinking like walking dead is becoming more real.
I'm looking forward to try the xrad some day for my pint! If the feel is as described I would be stoked! Float on
I'd love to get the TFL Trail Pro!
Trail pro, cause Jeff is the man and he says it's the best treaded tyre 🤘
This video is awesome! So much easier than I was expecting.
I’m definitely ready to upgrade and win one of these sweet new tires. Float On! You guys are awesome!!!
