I like that idea that codependency was a strategy we learned for survival in chaotic early experience. Michelle thanks so much for your enlightened critique on Boundaries. Boundaries are a comment, a statement, a self protection. However, they are not and cannot aim at changing the behaviour of the person they are enacted with. Yes. This is such clarity for me. I realise now that, as people say, "only say things once to the narcissist, don't keep asking them". We make that Boundary. It is a statement that their behaviour is unacceptable. But they may choose to ignore it and are so deluded that they cannot/will not change or respond. That is so clear. We hold a Boundary. The rest is their responsibility. Really helpful idea! ; ) K

I love your awareness! Yes boundaries have to be about what we can control so we know that we have the power to take care of ourselves no matter what others do. Thanks so much for watching!

@@stalkmoe Yep you can! Unthawing IS hard and most people don't realize that not having their feelings is super common.

    Thank you so much.🥀
I pray that one day i will be able to say I'm fully recovered 😊 but until then, i take one day at a time 🙏

Great video. So important to have "markers" to figure out whether we're healing. And, as always, Michelle does it in a real, compassionate way.
