By the way I fixed my RGB fan issue I had to switch the fans over to PWM and it was able to recognize the sensor so everything here is all good now.
Thanks bud, so very happy you enjoyed it and it is completely my pleasure. Awesome news about your fan, I love PWM, no fuss, just works.

@@ThisBytesForYou It's unreal lmao.
i like how ASUS boards VERIFY the bios file before asking to install it. this should be absolutely mandatory on all boards, rather than some will just install any ole file and will bork the mobo! awesome vid as usual bud
yeah they do a nice job for sure
Let's go!!!
Thanks bud, hope you enjoy it
Great video. Got the same case and gpu coming, but does the sidepanel actually close in this configuration? Power cable looks awfully close.
Thanks bud. The sidepanel is not close, it touches the cable, its right there, there is no way around it. I have a review of the case and everything coming out monday, I HIGHLY recommend you get a cablemod cable, like I have, you can see it in this video ruclips.net/video/8I4e6sw0meo/видео.html problem is CableMod is updating their offices, so they are not shipping till its over, but I am waiting for their 90 degree cable, but if you can find the cable you need, for your power supply, you may be able to find it on Amazon, search the site for it, the link is in that videos description and I hope to catch you on Mondays video.
Hey I love your videos... How you take time to explain every bit of the process...
The thing I want to know that... The Montech sky two is loud?? I watched other montech reviews and builds... Some of them say you can't control the fan speed.... Is it true?? Is it too loud??
Thank you. Love from India 🇮🇳♥️
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you.
it can be loud, and the PWM issue was supposed to have been fixed by Montech, but many are still complaining about it, I am not sure what to think of it. The issue is with the controller, you don't have to use the controller, you can use onboard fan headers and the issue will be solved.
love the vidoes, video on how to enter safe mode.. my outlook hangs.. almost same build outlook wont shut down
this video is how to get into safe mode ruclips.net/video/lZktuFEmRvU/видео.html, but you may want to run a repair of outlook within Program's and Features in the control panel... so what was your favorite part in this video?
Love your vids man. Helped me with a storage upgrade for my laptop. I am struggling with my desktop. I replaced the ram, motherboard and CPU but when I try to boot up my monitor isn't detecting my rig. I have power and lights and all fans are working and I've double checked the cables. Any ideas?
Sounds like you didn't properly seat the ram or put them in the right slots.
Love your detailed guides. I have a question regarding the ASUS BIOS update. I followed your earlier video on this when building my new I5-13400/ROG Strix B760M-A Gaming WIFI DDR4 build. However, a new BIOS update that is available has a prerequisite of updating the INTEL ME as shown on your video at 1:47. Supposedly you need to update the Intel ME driver first, then some Intel App, then finally the ME Firmware update BEFORE flashing the newest BIOS now available or it won't work. Can you explain this process? Some of the details that others put up on this differ on my build, perhaps because of the B760 motherboard or the fact that I have an Intel ARC 750 graphics.
Thanks so much for your support my friend, it means the world to me. I deleted my previous comment because I looked at the wrong board. This is taken from the site.
PRIME B760M-A WIFI D4 BIOS 0807
Version 0807
9.04 MB
2022/12/16
"1. Improve system performance
2. We suggest updating the ME firmware to the latest version 16.1.25.2020v2
Before BIOS update, please download Intel ME update tool from ASUS support site, and update ME firmware to Version 16.1.25.2020v2 to ensure optimized system settings"
It states you should, though, I don't think it will mess anything up but to be safe, yeah update it first.
How are you liking the Arc card?
@@ThisBytesForYou So far, so good with the ARC card. I upgraded from Ryzen 5-2600X/GTX-1060-3GB so quite a difference. My primary game, World of Tanks, is running in HD Ultra at ~120 FPS. I'll be installing some more games soon, so remains to be seen. But otherwise, it is way better than the GTX 1060, and my perf with the new 13 gen Intel chip way better also. Upgrade was spurred by my monitor upgrade to an LG 32" Gaming Monitor, so running a lot of stuff at 1440p became a problem.
@@genegx5405 thats awesome bud, so very happy for you, one day I will review one
great video. I just built a system before seeing this, yes I needed to play with it before getting the OS installed. can you tell me why your using that single fan cable in the pump header instead of cpu fan header so it doesn't give a fan error?
Thanks bud, glad you are enjoying it. I used the fan cable, for the AIO pump in the AIO Pump header, which has it's own setting in the BIOS for the purposes of the AIO. I can do the same in the CPU Fan header, though I used the CPU Fan Header Opt instead, which will give me the same. The error comes from low RPM's compared to a cpu fan, but I go over this in the video as well.

Finally got all my components and looking to start building this weekend. Can you provide a little more clarity regarding all the drivers I would need? (ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming Wifi mobo - Windows 11). Just a little confused with which files under "Chipset" and "Software and Utility" I need. Do I need the file in "Firmware" (USB PD controller FW update, PD FW Check Tool, PD FW update tool, ALC4080/ALC4082 audio FW update tool release) as well?
Also, what are the 2 files you have under "Wifi" (timestamp 11:00). (The EVGA CLCx I assume is your AIO software?)
Sorry for all the questions!
Appreciate your help! (again)
I show you all of this in the video, where I say Z690-Plus, pretend I saw Z690-E, don't be afraid my friend and you will find all your drivers and BIOS' here: rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z690-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_download/
Hello im sorry to bother you, do you know who to flash bios on asus tuf gamin B660 when is it a black screen thanks u for your respond
No bother what so ever my friend, So that I can help, please list the manufacturer and exact model number of the following components:
1. Motherboard - manufacturer and exact model number
2. CPU - manufacturer and exact model number
3. RAM - manufacturer and exact model number
4. Video Card - manufacturer and exact model number
5. Power supply - manufacturer and exact model number
6. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number
Is it possible to flash the bios for the Intel Core i5-13600K 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor? I hear it's a comparability problem. Can you update the bios even after installing the 13600k in the slot?
the TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI has support the 13600K since BIOS version 2004, they are on version 2703, which came out between 2022/10/19 and 2022/09/16 so chances are you will get a newer BIOS, but of course there is a chance it could have an older BIOS. If you have at least version 2004 on there you can use it and flash to the latest version.
Hello it is me again do you think you can post a tutorial on how to run your gpu cooler 😅
Welcome back my friend, its been a while, I can't tell but I hope you are subscribed. When you say run cooler, which GPU are you referring to?
Hi again my apologies regarding the long chain of comments, to reply to your message, I actually have been avoiding the daisy chain as you told me before to never do it, so what I did was used an older PCIE cable in my house. However I hear that this is not a good idea as it can fry the PSU? Corsair only gave me 2 PCIE cables and it's sadly not enough for my XFX 7900 XTX so I am not entirely sure what to do there.. (Maybe they sell PCIE cables separately but I can't find an official one)
And sorry for the confusion, the game does not flicker, it is actually the light bulb in my room (it's a pretty odd issue as I never had this before) And no I did not use any DDU I am not familiar of this. Also no overclocking! (I thought of doing undervolting actually)
Thanks
That happens if you are pulling too much power/amperage, change the outlet that light is on and that should help since your system is pulling more power.
Thanks for the video. This got me curious. From what I can see here 1:28 the initial bios version is 2103. Was this your factory delivered bios version, or had you updated it prior to this video?
The reason I ask is that from version 2103 on Asus's 600 series started supporting Gen 13 CPUs. Meaning, you could run a 13th gen on them without any bios updates. While if it was even a single version older (v2004), you had to have a 12th Gen CPU handy to kickstart the motherboard and update its bios first ... which incidentally is the situation I'm in right now.
I'm having the exact same mainboard (Z690 PLUS WIFI) delivered to me alongside a 13th Gen CPU and I don't know if I have to go out and borrow some 12th Gen CPU for 2 minutes or so 😄
First time I booted it was 0503, you can see it in this video: ruclips.net/video/WTkMXYjxGzU/видео.html and in that video I updated to 0807, I got this board right as it came out, it was Jan 3, 2022, it has been over a year, so I am sure it will have a newer BIOS to support 13th gen, I am thinking you will be good.
@@ThisBytesForYou Thank you for the speedy response.
It'll be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed. But I do suspect it might be an old one stored in a warehouse somewhere 😄
Also, thanks for the great video. I'm glad I found your channel, brother.
@Dr.FoorryAnimal yup, usually they are stored, but for over a year, it's not likely plus this is actually a very popular board so I think you are good my friend. On the box, you should also see the bios number on the same label that shows the model number, serial number etc, not always though.
@@ThisBytesForYou Yeah. You're correct. Actually there is a white panel on the board itself, between CPU and RAM slots with a barcode on it. Below it there's serial number and the last 4 digits are the Bios version the mainboard is shipped with. So at least there's a surefire way to check the bios version without installing a CPU first.
@@Dr.UldenWascht yeah but also on the box, before you open it as well
I just built a similar PC with the same Motherboard and the 12th Gen i7 (127600k) with 32 GB of Corsair DDR5 5600mhz. With XMP 1, it was very unstable running games (everyone crashed to desktop after 10 minutes.) I changed back to Auto and it works fine. Would think XMP 2 would be better?
yes, they really do create them because of potential instabilities but you will crash if you don't' update your BIOS, have you watched the video?
hey hey, funny that you just released this one. As you know im flashing my asus tuf bios rt now. I watched another vid and he said you had to use the biosrenamer.exe to rename the bios file. How come you didnt do that?
you don't need to, thats maybe for BIOS flash back, but this board doesn't have that feature, so you are good, both ways will work though as the BIOS only cares about the extension of the file.
I need your help, i have this setup: Intel Core i7-13700F, 5.2GHz Max Turbo, Cache 30MB, 16 Núcleos, 24 Threads, LGA 1700 - BX8071513700F, Kingston Fury Beast, 32GB (2x16GB), 5200MHz, DDR5, CL40, Preto - KF552C40BBK2-32 and Asus Tuf Gaming Z790-Plus, WiFi - 90MB1D80-M0EAY0,
I already updated the BIOS but when i try to boot im getting boot loop failure, idk what BIOS config i have to do
my pleasure, So chances are your boot menu has changed, make sure your primary boot drive is the first drive in your boot order in the BIOS. Being that its an asus board, if you have liquid cooling, make sure you have the cpu set to ignore fan speed in the bios and make sure you have the memory set to XMP.
Hi! I have a question, I´ve been looking for the RST drivers and I can´t find it, do you have a link I can use? Hi, assuming you haven't watched, the video, I show you where to get it all

@ThisBytesForYou I have a question is Intel Management Engine Interface Driver, Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology, and Intel GNA Driver all important to install on a new computer?
hey thanks for stopping by, sorry I don't answer on those other places since everything for me is here, and I want what I help you with to help as many people as possible. Yes, they are incredibly important, they tell components on your motherboard what to do, what they are and how to operate.

@ThisBytesForYou I do have one more question, when you install the Chipset Driver, ME, Intel Management Engine Interface Driver, Intel GNA Driver, Dynamic Tuning Technology, Intel Serial io, Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver, and ASUS AI Suit. What order do you recommend installing them in?
...you might want to watch this video
I didn't understand very well when you replace the pen driver. What was in the contents of the first pen drive?
drivers for the board, a BIOS or windows 11 install, those were the only 2 thumb drives I used.
Did you have any problem with the nvme installed on #1 m.2 slot like not being recognized or slow read/write speeds? I read a comment from someone who said to install your main drive on the second m.2 slot. Then add any extra storage to #1 or #3.
no, no issues at all, you can watch the video and I show you everything I do. During the install, I go over A very important part with the drivers that many miss, I doubt it would have made it go slower, just work or not work, but it could be if they did weird stuff with the driver (your friend, not Intel/Asus), slot one can also be an issue with the cpu and the slot, different cpu's will provide you different speeds to that first, second and third slot, its all in the manual, but if you dont want to look, tell me what cpu and ssd you are planning on using, using slot 1, 2 or 3 will have the same issue depending on the cpu,... the speed difference isn't tremendous enough for you are I to notice, rather benchmarks will notice.

any issues with bios 2204? Ive heard different things, i tried it on my rog strix z690-e and had weird stuff happening
As long as you have the latest bios, load optimal defaults and have you memory in the motherboard qvl and xmp enabled, you will be fine.
@@ThisBytesForYou I've enabled XMP 1.0 what is motherboard qvl?
it used to be a PDF the manufacturer would update often to verify if memory works for the board and also to support xmp profiles and to make their own, you can see if you can find your memory here, you will need to remove a stick of RAM, take a pic of it with your phone so you have the entire model number, then compare it here: www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-z690-plus-wifi-d4/helpdesk_qvl_memory/?model2Name=TUF-GAMING-Z690-PLUS-WIFI-D4
In this video also, I show you how to enable XMP, XMP 1.0 may not be right, does your memory have a 2nd profile, or an Asus created one?
If you are overclocked disable the overclock, did you install with the overclock?

Hey I have a problem with my build, I have same motherboard as yours, it doesn't seem to post using 2 sticks of ram but when I have just 1 it works fine (I think speed was much lower as well which is weird cuz I think it should be 5600) it's the Corsair vengeance one (32 GB) I did see an orange light on motherboard for the ram so that's how I figured it might be ram. Altho wanted to know if updating bios or configuring it would fix this issue ? (Also haven't swapped ram sticks yet) thanks for any help!
See if this helps: ruclips.net/video/xqWfeOsTto8/видео.html
@@ThisBytesForYou Actually turns out one of the sticks was dead, my next problem is do you know if I can daisy chain my GPU? My PSU only has slots for 2 unfortunately (it is RMe Series RM850e ) and my GPU is the XFX 7900 xtx which needs the 3 PCI cables which I have 2, and the 2nd one would daisy chain and plug in to the last one. Thanks!
you have 3 PCIe connectors and 3 cables, 2 are 6+2 and 1 is a split 6+2, I NEVER recommend daisy chaining, use the 2 6+2 and 1 of the 2 from the split cable and you should be good. The 2 that are split cpu and pcie, are you only using the 8Pin EPS, or are you using both the 8Pin EPS and 4Pin cpu power?

@@ThisBytesForYou really unsure why my comment got deleted for 2nd time, my guess RUclips does not like when I put links..
Sorry about that but here is my response again: so we used EPS/ATX12V Cable (8-pin) (4+4) for cpu powering (that's two cables) and PCIe Cable (8-pin) (6+2) & PCIe Cable (8-pin) (6+2 split) for gpu (also two cables) and the PSU has 4 PCI slots (as u sent the link for that PSU) I think ultimately it comes down to having to Daisy chain something as I don't have enough (I need 5 pci cables, 2 for CPU and 3 on GPU) unless you think we can Daisy chain the CPU that would solve our problem.. however alternatively I could go for another PSU which I may since you warned me not to Daisy chain.. thanks in advance! 😁
yeah, I block links in my channel, not just from you, from everyone to protect my viewers. You never know what kind of links people can put out there, I am sure your links were perfectly fine, but you get what I mean.
You only need 2 for cpu if you are planning on hardcore overclocking, 1 x 8Pin EPS is good for 95% of people out there. I dont recommend daisy chaining.

Is that for amd only to be flashing
No, amd and Intel thats why I am incredibly confused at your comments a few weeks ago "The reason I hate amD" when all motherboards have BIOS updates.
Hey, I have a problem with my new z790 hero + i9 13900k build. It has had DPC latency issues and been a little unstable. I've tried a billion fixes for this, but there are still issues.
At this point in my troubleshooting I am thinking about this:
One odd thing I found is that windows boot manager is on the A disk, so apparently the computer boots from the A disk even though windows is installed on C.
The next thing I found is that my bios had Secure boot settings set to: OS type "Other OS" instead of windows UEFI mode. This means I have installed windows 11 without secure boot enabled and without Windows uefi mode. Could this be a cause of instability? (I read online that you should install windows 11 with windows uefi enabled). I get some bsod, app crashes and some latency issues.
So if I were to reinstall windows 11 on this motherboard, anything I have to make sure I do? (I assume I need to format both the A disk and the C disk for example?)
In addition this board (probably all boards) seems to have some stability problems with DDR5 and 128 GB ram, so I am currently running XMP disabled with 64 GB for stability. Maybe this will get better with bios updates...
Thank you!
yeah, this is an issue with all boards, unless you update the BIOS, now DDR5 should work perfectly fine. Looking at your board, there are some updates, and audio firmware issues as well that could fix this.
rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-hero-model/helpdesk_bios/
I am not sure why your boot manager would be on A, sounds like maybe you installed windows with RUFUS or something.
First, make a Windows 11 thumb drive, the way I show you here: ruclips.net/video/ayp8TksEtoY/видео.html
Afterwards, flash the ME, then the BIOS then the firmware update for audio, BEFORE you reinstall windows.
Next, with that new Windows 11 thumb drive (PLEASE don't use any other form, I help people daily with RUFUS issues), make sure to DELETE all partitions on that drive, I highly recommend you unplug all other drives, only leaving that main drive and delete all those partitions. Do what I show you in this video to setup your BIOS, its not Z690, but Z790 is close enough, sadly I dont have an Asus board to show you.
Main things to set, XMP for your memory, then tough nothing else for memory, Disable CSM, change all the boot things you can change to UEFI and you should be good
Also, before you install windows, follow this guide on how to properly install RAM, I know it sounds stupid, but I am thinking you didn't buy your RAM in a KIT, maybe 2 separate kits, so you have to install them carefully, not just pop them in, I go over that in this video, it HELPS A TON. ruclips.net/video/xqWfeOsTto8/видео.html
Let me know if that helps.

This would be installing a chipset driver, since there are chipset drivers.
Chipset is the root of your board, z690 is the chipset and the driver's tell it what it is and how to function.
