She was brilliant.
Judith was on loan to us .... she's now gone Home to her Loving Lord to sing for Eternity to the blessed ......
Judith Durham - a treasure
¡¡ Maravilloso grupo The Seekers y su vocalista Judith Durham.!!...Música con alma, corazón, y vida..!!
Vale Judith: thank you. John Lyons August 6 2022❤️
As a teenager in the '60s I thought she was soooo pretty and sang even prettier. Folk music wouldn't have been the same without her. And she didn't have to wear skimpy clothes to win your heart.
a true lady in every regard
Not at all.. just a classy lady she was born that way. Yep, Judith wore dresses and skirts.
Yep she was pure class back then and never changed. Her voice was more than enough to win your heart.
RIP. God can listen to your beautiful voice forever.
I’m heartbroken
Amen.☁️🎺👼💒🙏🌹
I'm sure even the angels found great delight in listening to her beautiful, seemingly transcendent unearthly singing.
Glorious and Heavenly now.
Judith had such a beautiful voice RIP. The Seekers are still amazing. Love them.
This Christmas you will sing with the angels Judith.
The best version of this lovely carol. Judith could sing a menu and make it sound wonderful!
True.....and man will live for evermore because of Christmas Day👌
GOD. LOANED. HER. TO. US. TO. BE. THE. SEEKERS. LIGHT. !!!
Judith Durham(MOA), the spirit of Australia. ✝️🇦🇺🌹
"Hark, now hear the angels sing..." Judith is singing about herself. There isn't and will never be more angelic voice to sing this song. This vibrating, lamentous tone is so much heartmelting that I can't take my ears off her mouth.
A Angel went home 💓.
therell never be another you god bless thanx
Let's get a million views for this special lady
Loved her voice, loved that group!
And now she is with th Angels!
I agree l am sure that she is now at rest in Heaven 🕊
or wherever Souls come from or go. Good, bad, indifferent they're on "loan" to us on this (or any other) rock. Sucks not knowing though and the grand scheme of things not knowing kinda ticks me off.
Lovely Christmas carol
You will live on through your beautiful voice.
The staggeringly beautiful voice and singing of the late Judith Durham is one of my single biggest reasons for a belief in God. Even if you believe that all life on the Earth evolved over many millions of years, Judith’s voice and singing were just so wonderful and seemingly miraculous that Charles Darwin’s Theory Of Evolution just won’t explain it.
I've never believed in a Deity (which one would one choose from?). However I believe in Judith. What a beautiful Soul she was. She did not die peacefully I hope people realize that. Dying by failing to be to breathe hasta be a horrible way to go. It was stated that the Seekers spoke with her a few hours before she passed and tell you what that had to be really tough on them because they cherished her. I was born a few months before her but I must certainly was not endowed with that beautiful voice of hers not even close. Nowadays I listen to Sissel. She has the same type of beautiful persona that Judith had but probably a bit more outgoing.
Can somebody explain to me why I get tears in my eyes every time Judith sings, specially this song. She is so loving, beautiful with a voice like an angle, I can't help it. One day in heaven, she will definitely sing in Gods' Choir where I will sit, listening to her all day long.
Her voice touches everyone's hearts is the reason why we all get tears in our eyes, I get it so you are not alone
I think you just explained it yourself. Goose bumps for sure.
Amen, we shall all meet in heaven and say: hello there!
The Spirit that indwells her, indwells you too.
You already know why.
🕯🌹 Eternal Memory
Best recital of this song I've ever heard. Could listen to it over and over again.
Judith has a voice of an Angel. So beautiful
1st time hearing this version with tears in my eyes and I'm pushing 60 , Judith is my favourite female singer of all time
The voice of angel,God has blessed her!!
Actually there are at least two new angels singing in Heaven this year - Judith and Olivia. Pure joy
Thank you rich963, your hard work is appreciated so much. ❤
Thank you 🙂
Nice girl, beautiful song, another times.♥️👍
What a beautiful rendition! I never get tired hearing it this way. Only Judith Durham can do it. So solemn and angelic.
What a beautiful rendition of one of my favourite Christmas carols. ❤
Judith Durham has such a wonderful voice for Christmas hymns.
For any songs!!
Wonderful presentation of an old song which tells the story of Jesus' birth!
I don't like Xmas, but i love this Song & the Voice of Judith Durham.
She definitely has the voice of an angel!
Their harmony is unsurpassed.
What a beautiful voice Judith has been blessed with.
Thank you so much for sharing this song . Love Judith so much . ❤😢
Been listening to this song for many years! This is probably the best i have heard!!
It IS very nice. First time for me too, after hearing different versions for over 30 years.
Magical
Todas as canções lindas demais❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite Christmas songs and this version with Judith is so beautiful!
Beautiful Judith. God bless!
Watching listening on 26th of June 2021and loving it. 🇮🇳
Indian independence?
I remember hearing this a lot when i was very young and couldnt appreciate Judith Durham for who she is. Jesus may be the son of God to those who believe that or a Prophet to those who believe that however to all of usJudith Durham is an Angel and sings like one
She was a great singer regardless.
Judith Durham's, uma das vozes mais linda!
Thank you Rich!!!
Fantastic job by Judith!! Thanks for sharing this fabulous story with us!!!!
Love the seekers wish I could buy a CD or Records they are brilliant
Oh Rich, this is pure blisss - thank you so much 🙂
You're welcome Saskia - glad you enjoyed it!
What a voice! Love u Judith Durham forever.
Absolutely wonderful . Really touches me. The NFL could learn something about "taking a knee" from this video.
I'd never heard this before, absolutely beautiful.
1990's performance and Judith sounds as good as she did in the 60's - amazing.
Thanks for posting :)
Sorry my description was a bit confusing - the Boys' vocals were from a prformance in 1990, but Judith's was from her Christmas album, recorded in 1970. I just blended them tgether to re-create the Seekers sound. :-)
Ah, I see. Thank you.
It sounds very good.
Thanks :-)
Absolutely
Like EbiFFB below I find it impossible to believe that this song could be sung any better. Also like Johann du Plessis below I get emotional listening to it & I am not really an emotional person. Judith Durham seems like an angel down here on Earth. She certainly sings like one!.
A very talented lady
Thank you, Rich.
What a beautiful voice... yeah the kid was born she had no choice in the matter. that's been going on for awhile now.
Pure magic, thx for sharing.
Nice!
First time hearing this. Very nice rendition (and nice work on the mixing). It actually goes beyond the version of just her. The most touching version I've heard from a female. The most touching male version I would contend is Jose Feliciano's.
The song also works when it's done up tempo.
Thank you for posting. Beautiful
Thanks for uploading this. I remember hearing this years ago.
Beautiful musica
Merry Christmas from Oklahoma, Richard! What a simply glorious mix you have made with this one! Thank you for your genius work! I do hope Judith and the boys will be able to hear it. Great job.
Thank you Kaye, great to hear from you and I trust you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year too :-)
I love this. Thanks, rich963 and Merry, Merry Christmas to all of us...
Have always loved Judiths voice but Little River Band also did a great version of this song.
Great job Rich!! Thanks, Rog
Thanks Rog, happy Christmas!
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!
Amen.
Thanks for loading, this adds to the holidays!
Brasil belíssima música 2021 21 09
I like how they used the hannah Barbara cartoons
This is miles better than the Boney M version!
If you Australian you should know she is died 😥🙏😞 R.I.P
I just found this version. I love the Seekers, and it's a very nice rendition. That being said, Harry Belafonte's is still the best.
the animation is from Hannah Barbara
This is just Judith Durham. NOT the Seekers. It was recorded after The Seekers broke up, and none of the Seekers had anything to do with it at all. My mother bought the LP it was recorded for, “For Christmas With Love” for me as a Christmas present at a service station in 1968 - yes, service stations were the outlet for buying it! I still have the album with its notation “Collector’s Album, limited Edition, recorded exclusively for Goodyear Australia.” It was recorded by Capitol Records in LA.
OK, hands up - I cheated a little bit with this one by adding the male Seekers' voices to Judith's version in the choruses & refrain, but I like the Seekery sound it produces (and it took ages to do!)
OK. Sorry for being so vehement! With the help of some wine I was remembering Judith as my girlhood idol. I still love that pure, stained glass voice, which always sounded better solo, IMO. Who else managed that in the pop of the 60s, 70s, 80s? Dusty Springfield, Karen Carpenter and Annie Lennox and just one or two others.
Aged ten, I was horrified to hear on the news that The Seekers were splitting - until I learned that Judith had instigated the split. My parents were very indulgent of my devotion. They drove 20k to buy that album and 35k so I could see The Seekers film! (We lived in the country.)
It instigated my interest in popular music. Meaning, among other things, that I looked at the back of my Seekers EPs and thought "Really? THAT Paul Simon?" And "Really?!? THAT Kim Fowley?!?" And I got the Dusty connection. Dusty vanished too, for years. Very sad. It was a man's world.
I have to agree with Nick Cave's and Paul Kelly's admiration for Judith. It is Judith who makes The Seekers' exceptional. She didn't and doesn't need the blokes behind her. But they needed Judith.
Thanks, Rich. So beautiful! One of my favorite carols sung by my favorite singer. Is this on any of her cds?
Judith's solo version is on both her Christmas CDs, but this version is one I created by blending hers with the 'Boys'' vocals from a live performance with another singer.
This was recorded in LA in 1968 without the Seekers.
It's all explained in the video description.
Judith's voice suits this genre perfectly. A great rendition superbly sung.
She looks JUST LIKE Linda Blair in the thumbnail. Or is that Linda Blair?
Does anybody know what year this is? I don't believe it is on Judith's for Christmas with love album, so I am unsure!
Hi Tiny Tim,
It is track two on Judith's For Christmas with Love. 1994 EMI CD
Merry Christmas,
Len
Thanks Len,
I looked as I have a copy of the LP myself and it doesn't seem it's on there,
just earlier on, I received another one of these coincidentally and it was A2.
I imagine it was a print mistake.
:)
Hi Tiny Tim,
I did not think about checking my LP's, I had a look this morning and the two copies i have of Judith Durham For Christmas with Love EMI SCXM 5028 the track is on Side One Track Two.
Regards
Len
Hi guys, The base track is Judith's, but I blended the other 3 Seekers' voices with hers to create a 'new' Seekers song. The Boys' performance was from Carols By Candlelight in 1990.

rich963 Hi, thank you for that! :)
The instrumental and chorus should be quieter, so that Judith's incomparable voice can more clearly be heard.
You don't set a diamond in cast iron.
As you know obviously a lot about the Seekers: why the name?
They were called the Seekers because originally the wanted the name The Searchers, but that was taken. So something similar was taken.....thank God!
Do You have it in a "clean" untouch version ?
Thanks beautiful. But the cartoon was in appropriate
Glad you enjoyed the song, but I'm puzzled by your comment - the animation very closely follows the lyrics of the song! 🤔
