I was lucky to spend 8 Christmases with her. Christmas has never been special since she died, BUT this song is the only one that brings back that Christmas spirit my mum always had. I was in ICU at the hospital last Christmas after a liver transplant on 12/15 and a code blue on 12/22 for 4 weeks. I literally missed Christmas. After returning home in February, 2021, I decided to listen to this song and other Christmas songs. After listening closely to the words, I think that this song is appropriate for all year. By the grace of God, I am still alive to cherish more memories with family and friends.

This song was in the top ten in December 1976, it was playing on the radio in the delivery room where I was born, it was playing the exact moment my head came out, the day after my dad went to the record store and brought the single, they kept it safe and every birthday played this song, then on my wedding day in September 1996 my dad presented the single he brought all those year's ago to me, he had the whole room tearing up telling the story how it was playing the moment i was born, I've put it somewhere safe and i will pass it down to my niece's (i would pass it down to my own children but I'm infertile) such a special song too my family

Just got back to hotel in honolulu after attending Johnny Mathis concert here tonight. He sang this song in the second half of his show and the house was stone silent for a full two seconds after the last note was sung. Then the entire hall erupted with applause and cheers. It was a shared goosebump moment for 1700 people.

This song reminds me of my lovely Xmas as a family. My parents both loved it and over Xmas they would always play it. Sadly they are now gone but it's my hubbies fave Xmas song so as I'm a singer I have to sing it for him.
