I just watched the Glitch video for the original Super Mario Bros. game. Turns out the Minus World was a place you could actually get into, and it would loop forever and ever. I immediately remembered SMBZ, so came here to watch it on a nostalgia trip.

I love how when the minus world goes normal even mecha sonic just sort of stops murdering people and stands off screen doing nothing a couple feet away from the group haha.
It proves that even the mightiest and steadfast people will pause when the situation gets weird.

I think Wario should have been given a little more credit. that guy is a fighting machine in most of his games, but they never let him fight at all in this series.
SMBZ's fight scenes always had the right amount of speed to it to make it enjoyable, unlike other fast fights ive seen where its just 2 characters with barely any character or personality mindlessly beating the crap out of each other in the same enviroment until one of them dies
My favorite is the mario teeam vs axem rangers vs the koopa bros.

The reason i put shadow as number one is because 52:25-52:33 and 53:20-53:30 I MEAN LIKE HE WAS THE ONLY TROUBLE FOR MECHA SONIC SHADOW EVEN STOPPED HIS ATTACK

Luigi may not have that many balls but you have to admit he still can fuck up someone when he needs to

I only agree with Shadow being on top but for me, it would be like this:
Shadow > Sonic = Mario > Yoshi > Luigi
Shadow - Having the abilities of chaos such as chaos control, chaos blast, chaos spear etc., gives him a great advantage. Not only that but he is also fast like Sonic and even more powerful. But the problem of Shadow is that he always attack abruptly and straightfoward, making his attacks predictable. And let's not forgot he prefers to fight alone aswell, which sometimes may not be effective and he is also very tempered. It's sad because teamwork could give him advantage, like how he and Mario fight the Black and Red Koopa Bros and beat the crap out of them.
Sonic - Sonic have the advantage of speed and agility. While he doesn't have powers of chaos like Shadow, he compensates in agility and focus. He knows that there are times which teamwork and he doesn't mind beating the crap out of someone with help, like how he and Luigi beat the yellow Koopa Bro. One thing I like about Sonic is how he uses his skills alongside the others to make it more effective and doesn't lose opportunities to attack, always going for unpredictable strikes.
Mario - Mario is the most acrobatic and balanced from all of them. He also have explosive powers of fire aswell, which comes in hand for deal more damage. But just like Sonic, Mario also accepts support and use them in a way to be more effective and doesn't lose opportunities aswell to attack and make a move. What I like about both Mario and Sonic is their chillness. Sonic is very carefree but that makes him less tense during the supposedly hard situations and Mario have a more concentrated chillness. In other words, they both are very strategic, which is a great pro for them and a con for Shadow for lacking it.
Yoshi - The only issue with Yoshi is that he lacks any power to deal properly damage. Also, he is pretty much balanced in attack and speed but he is definitely the most durable from all the others. After all, we are talking about a dino who carries people in their back.
Luigi - What really drives Luigi back from all of them, is his really weak and sort of coward personality (I don't blame him), which really affects him during the fights and make him unable to be strategic and strong like his brother. Otherwise, Luigi would be on pair with his brother. After all, he have a lot of potential in being acrobatic aswell, like how it happens with his fight with the Green and Yellow Koopa Bros and let's not forgot he have the power of thunder aswell, which gives him both speed and power advantage.

I can't wait to see these fight scenes in their reboot edition

I'd say that even though it is basically a filler episode, i loved the clash between mecha sonic v mario and sonic in episode 7. It really hits home how out matched mario and sonic were at the time, what with mario only buying them a few seconds to flee with his surprise attack at the end of the fight. Along with the 3, roughly, clashes in the minus world showing that Caped Mario is out matched as well though he is able to keep up for a bit
Shadow doesn’t even take a hit against the black koopa he’s up against. Badassery at its finest
