- Craig y Llyn is the highest hill on 'The Miners' list, a list I am compiling of the best hills in South Wales.

If you want to say thanks for any of my content you can always buy me a coffee - I don't actually drink coffee so any money received would be spent on used camping gear and the odd can of own-brand energy drink.

Thank you for posting. Loved the drone scene.
Thanks. It's a great place for exploring and luckily the drone could get above the mist!
thanks Kev, great views and drone shots, great stuff
Cheers Reece. Nice place for a ramble.
The miners walks series is excellent.
Thanks. I've enjoyed making it, been a pleasure to go back to my favourite hills. Most of them I'd only walked once before so it has been nice returning.
great vid kev
@@allanmason7544 thanks for stopping by and the kind words.
Superb opening sequence. Loving the drone shots, added a great extra dimension to the videos, especially on grey days where time lapse are not so effective. 👌
Thanks. I must use the drone more this year!
I used to visit this part of the country when there were rallies held in the South Wales forests; so this is quite familiar.
Nice. Definitely would be a few good gravel roads for rallying through the wind farms.
Used to be the highlight of my day when delivery driving and finally getting out of Treherbert to drive that lovely Rhigos road over the mountain, nice to see the area from a different perspective. Always wondered what the forests around there were like. Cool to see a trig point nestled away there.
It's a great place to walk. Reminds me a bit of the black mountain in terms of the two lakes and crags.
@@TheWalkingKev I can see myself having a walk up there soon, thanks for reminding me the area exists!
@@Justaguythatwalks it's a huge place, you could walk for hours in different directions.
I wonder why those two lakes have the same names as the lakes up the black mountain area just minus the 'y fan' part 🤔 do you have any ideas?
@@Justaguythatwalks nope, there's a good bit of history about an amazing sword being taken out of one of the lakes.
Hi Kev.
That was great. Loved the drone view at 8:30 👌
What was the name of the mountain you said was your favourite? I couldn’t quite make it out 🤷🏻♂️
Fan Gyhirych, I struggle to pronounce it! Had a couple of wonderful hikes up to that mountain and some of the best skies I've ever had.
Just started watching Kev but the camera quality looks really good on this video? Are you using a new camera?
Yes. It isn't the best for walking and talking - which is why on my latest camping video I do a lot of talking whilst stood still! However, for general use and low light it's a beast.
It's a Sony A7CII with a Zeiss Batis 25mm f2 prime lens.
@@TheWalkingKevit’s got a nice sharp imagine I think it looked good 😊 liked the drone shots too
@@yasminshikingmission thanks. It shoots 7k on a full frame sensor and down samples it to 4k, so it should be sharp.
