Hey Marcus, I have a done the last part of the walk down the track a few times, on one of my recent trips I was approached by the landowner tell me that it is not a footpath. Long story short the council confirmed that it is and have also reinstated the footpath signs! It's unfortunate that the tree has fallen down on the path, I may take a walk and try and clear it, the council are so busy there is a chance the path will dissappear. Brilliant video
Thanks. There's been of lot of footpaths 'disappearing' near us in Porthcawl as well. Especially over lockdown. Glad the council put the signs back. Impressed you're going to try to clear the path. Thanks again
I absolutely loved this it was absoulty amazin it made me want ti the same walk it was step by step well spoken ... I never comment but I had to its was amazing... I absolutely love Neath well done
Hi the path you walked through woods is a curtesy footpath and the road going up to the right is a private road for maintenance road for forestry the old path was going up along stream and was for animals to go up on to the mountain from the farm
Hi Marcus, my name is Scott. I believe my fiancee has introduced herself? If you need any royalty free and copyright free music, I'm yer man. Also if you run into any local history problems I have loads of perks of the job research wise and spend time reading local history, from out of print books to the local newspaper section in libraries. Im sure we will both enjoy your walks!
Nice one Marcus. I walk the canal quite often, but usually heading up from your turn off and above Resolven. I'll leave that hillside to you - I'll stick to the flat canal towpaths these days. Hwyl fawr.

Great video, my home area I've not seen for a few years now, I would walk almost daily from Clyne. Lovely to see.
Cheers - Glad you enjoyed.
Hi Marcus, good video. I live locally and run that route semi regularly, can confirm it's always quiet that part 👍🏻
Good to know!
Thanks.
Love circular walks your tips are very informative for someone who always thinks they will get lost.keep on walking.
Loved seeing a walk in sunny Neath! I walked this area, from Cadoxton up to Melincourt, via the canal in September. A bit sunnier then!
Sunny Neath, probably not a phrase used that often

Yes, it is nice walk. Cold, but quiet that day.
Chilly☕☕

Hi Scott, that sounds interesting. Are you local to the area?
@@marcuswalks yep, pretty much center of town.
@@Nothingnowhere124 We have to have a chat on a walk about it.
Hi Marcus. Hope you and Mel are doing well.
Goof thanks
@@marcuswalks I hope you meant good. Lol.
@@lcook0825 I did, but I think "goof" is actually better 🤣

Its bad the council does not inspect or clear all rights of way in their area, even though I believe they are responsible.
